    Hello Guardians,

    Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

    We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

    This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

    Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Bounties & EXP Sources' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

    Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome. Here are some sample questions :

    • What is your general feedback on bounties and sources of experience in the game?
    • Do you feel like it is problematic to be required to fly to many different destinations to acquire bounties (obelisks, tower, tribute hall, planetary vendors, etc...)? Should it be possible to acquire all bounties from the director (like eververse?)
    • Is the limit to the number of bounties that you can carry at one time problematic for you as a player?
    • Do you feel like certain bounties are too difficult in comparison to the reward they offer? Which ones and why? How should these be adjusted?
    • Do you feel like the amount of experience granted by certain core activities is too low to make them worth doing? Which core activities should have their amount of experience increased and why?
    • Do you feel like there are "too many" bounties available and does this bother you in any way?
    • What do you think about the "Well rested" buff which provides bonus exp for the first few levels you gain per week?
    • How do you feel about the distribution of experience points between "weekly bounties" "daily bounties" and "repeatable daily bounties"?
    • Give your thoughts on going from the "challenge" system D2 launched with (bounties that were only visible within the activity but did not require pickup) vs the current bounty system?
    • What are your thoughts on the "fireteam exp boosts" that come from the seasonal artifact? Should these also apply to solo players? Should they work everywhere (including orbit and the tower)? Currently these only work on destinations within fireteams.
    • What other ideas do you have to improve the experience system and bounties?

    Ghost shell perks should be made into mods, so that you can use any shell you want with whatever perks you want.

    The title is pretty self-explanatory, but I think ghost shell perks such as guiding light, speed demon, treasure hunter, omni-telemetry, etc. should be made into mods. Basically, this would be the armor 2.0 update, but for ghost shells. Every ghost shell would essentially be a blank slate, with three mod slots each. However, unlike armor 2.0, I don't think there should be an energy limit (debatable), nor do I think elemental affinity should be present.

    Obtaining ghost mods would be very similar to obtaining regular mods; by completing activities and leveling up different vendors. In addition, certain location-specific mods could be obtained from that location, such as moon glimmer finder being obtained from the moon, or dreaming city resource scavenger being obtained from dreaming city activities. On the other hand, more generalized mods could simply be obtained from general activity completions and rank-ups. This would make it so that we no longer are forced to use a specific ghost shell with guiding light, especially if its a shell we don't like that much. In addition, it would help to alleviate some of the criticisms that eververse is currently receiving, since ghost shells with valuable perks could be considered pay-to-win by some (although that is definitely debatable).

    One eyed Guardian here, in the future can you consider making the hud customizable so things like the radar can be moved to different sections on screen for easier visibility?

    In PvP especially, it can be super hard to constantly look at the radar and stay focused on what's happening on screen, but if I could move or swap parts of the hud around, it would definitely make life way easier.

    Exotic armor should have a fourth mod slot that accepts any season’s seasonal mods

    Basically, the title.

    Isn't exotic armor supposed to be better than legendary armor? Right now most exotic armor has rolls close to 15 points lower than what is generally considered to be good, no seasonal mod compatibility, and the whole elemental armor mod issue. It feels like adding an exotic piece of armor to your build actually limits the amount that said build can be customized.

    (Side rant about the collection, TL;DR pulling exotic armor from the collection punishes players and limits build variety) I understand that you don't just want players pulling exotic armor out of the collection repeatedly to get good rolls, but aren't there already enough disincentives to using the collection, which Bungie went out of their way to add, just in time for loot that we can't pull from it (why?). Pulling gear form collections already produces gear 20 levels below the player's max light level, but I guess that wasn't enough of a penalty for using the features that Bungie added for their intended purpose. So making players sacrifice a high level piece of gear to bring our exotics up to par wasn't enough, then they come with fixed rolls, and if that weren't enough, they are especially bad rolls. If you want to try to get random rolled exotic armor, there are few chances, maybe two per week on average, and that's being very optimistic. There are six stats and three elements, so assuming that you do get the particular armor you want, which becomes less likely with every new exotic armor Bungie adds, then you only have a roughly 5% chance of getting a roll you want, and that's just a simplified calculation that is HEAVILY in favor of getting any particular roll. But wait there's more, there are 27 exotic armor pieces per class, so a more realistic (but still very optimistic) number is 0.2%. That means that for every 500 exotic armor pieces, you will only get the one you want once. If we put that together with our two exotics a week number then we see that it would take you roughly five years to get the exotic armor that you want with the roll you want, and that's still being incredibly optimistic. Actually, even after five years, you would still only have around a 65% chance of getting what you were looking for. After ten years there would still be a one in eight chance that you still wouldn't get it. After 20 years you still wouldn't even have a 99% chance of getting it.

    Lumina should let you see the health bars of your teammates when a Noble Round is loaded. It would really help out in figuring out who needs that healing other than looking for a exclamation mark.

    Exotic Primaries in 980s - Wish-Ender and why it being bugged is a wake up call

    So Wish-Ender is bugged to do more damage and has been a fun way to do harder content, not because it is broken but because it isn't Izanagi + scout or scout + Divinity. Just to address the obvious, yes, Wish-Ender does too much damage but showcases how bad of a spot primaries and bows in particular are. Being able to actually use a bow without feeling like a burden is a miracle.

    It is a sad state of affairs that the only way to make an exotic primary weapon a competitive option for 980 content is to have it do quadruple damage. There are so many interesting and unique weapons yet my Exotic choice comes down to whether I'm going to use Izanagi, Divinity, or (in a distant deep 3rd place) Eriana's Vow. I'm sure some people will say "I use X weapon and it does fine" and sure you can use other things but it will generally be met with great disagreement from your fireteam and realistically is just not as good.

    If seasonal mods are going to be the norm from here on out, we need a way to augment the function of our exotic weapons to keep our "play the way you want to play" motto alive.

    TLDR: Wish-Ender being bugged has LFGs asking for something other than "Iza + cat / Div REQUIRED" for the first time in forever and it is a beautiful thing. Buff bows, buff exotic primaries, warlock melee speed btw.

    "Changing the meta" shouldn't mean you can put anti barrier and unstoppable mods on certain guns types.

    I'd like some gun types to get a little stronger and some to get a little weaker. Making it so you HAVE to take a certain type of weapon OR exotic with that mod type into a nightfall goes directly against the "play how you want to" attitude.

    Yeah, we kill hive gods and stop wars and yadda yadda. But they just feel like another Tuesday. It always just feels like we're doing our regular guardian duties. But when Saint fucking 14 talks about how much I inspired him with my heroic deed, it puts my actions into perspective in a way none of the previous attempts the story made could manage.

    A Shaxx styled strike

    Now hear me out imagine what a strike mission with Shaxx would be like. The strike can have Shaxx task a fireteam of guardians to help his redjacks claim a enemy base or camp as a new crucible arena. Inside the base we could help test out some crucible functions like capturing a point from the enemies or defending the bomb from countdown to blow an enemy fortification. Hell we can even have Shaxx over the comms doing his usual voice lines when we pick up heavy ammo, go on a killstreak or pop our super.

    Pretty much title but think it's a reasonable middle ground

    Going from Saint to Benedict takes hundreds of seconds and since I'm a god killer, I expect to be reaching high speeds of Usain Bolt when called upon

    Ok I'm joking there but the suggestion stands. 1.5x maybe? 2x?

    Not saying it should be to hilarious standards but just so I can get around quicker when picking it all up for daily play
