This week at Bungie, we are sharing more details on the DCV.

Back in June, we introduced the concept of the [Destiny Content Vault (DCV)](http://), an approach to evolving the game that will allow us to add new content, bring back some of Destiny's greatest hits from the past, and support Destiny 2 for years to come.

As a quick refresher, when Year 4 kicks off on November 10th, Io, Titan, Mars, Mercury, and Leviathan will all enter the Destiny Content Vault to make room for Cosmodrome's return and Europa's debut.

Since announcing the DCV, we know there have been a lot of questions about what's going away and how game systems will evolve to reflect the more dynamic nature of Destiny 2's future.

Most questions are answered by this rule of thumb, "When a destination goes into the DCV, so too do its PvE activities and associated rewards." But there are some edge cases and we want to be crystal clear with players about the details of what's staying and what's going so there is no confusion, and everyone can prepare.

Today we're going to explore what Destiny 2 will look like on November 10. Then, we're going to spend some time helping you plan your gameplay to finish up your quests, earn your Triumphs, and complete your collections before November 10.

    Core Activities

Up first are the core repeatable activities of Destiny 2: strikes, Crucible, Gambit, raids, and dungeons. Strikes This one is covered entirely by the standard Vaulting rule of thumb. As a destination is Vaulted, its strikes enter the DCV.

Available Strikes on November 10 Moving into the DCV
EDZ - The Arms Dealer // Lake of Shadows Io - The Pyramidion // The Festering Core
Nessus - Inverted Spire // Exodus Crash // Insight Terminus Titan - Savathûn's Song
Tangled Shore - Warden of Nothing // The Hallowed Lair // Broodhold Mars - Strange Terrain // Will of the Thousands
Dreaming City - The Corrupted Mercury - Tree of Probabilities // A Garden World
    Moon - The Scarlet Keep
    Cosmodrome - Will of Crota
    Europa - [Redacted]

*Destiny's Devil's Lair and Fallen S.A.B.E.R. are coming out of the Vault in Year 4.

Gambit and Gambit Prime As a reminder, Gambit and Gambit Prime will be merging into a single experience when Year 4 kicks off on November 10. The new version of Gambit will be similar to Gambit Prime as a single round face off with tweaked Blockers, heavier mote drain, and some changes to the Primeval fight. We will give more details on these updates before the revamped mode goes live next Season.

Unlike strikes and other PvE content, the Year 4 Gambit playlist map selection is a "best of" list (and is one of those edge cases we mentioned above). We felt it was important to keep the select Gambit maps in rotation for the best competitive play (regardless of their destination's fictional state).

Available Gambit Maps on November 10 Moving into the DCV
Emerald Coast (EDZ) Cathedral of Scars (Dreaming City)
Legions Folly (Nessus) Kell's Grave (Tangled Shore)
    Deep Six (Titan)
    New Arcadia (Mars)

Note: As we perform maintenance on the activity, Gambit Prime armor perks will be deprecated. We are exploring ways to rebalance and reintroduce some of these perks as armor mods in the future. Alongside these changes, we'll be rotating some maps into the DCV, while retaining popular arenas for the mode.

Crucible Like Gambit, the new Crucible map playlist will be a curated "best of" mix and will be pulled from both Destiny 1 and 2's legacy. Here is a look at the planned rotation in Year 4 as well as the maps being Vaulted.

Available PvP Maps on November 10 Moving into the DCV
    Destiny - Bannerfall // Exodus Blue // Rusted Lands // Twilight Gap Meltdown // Solitude // Retribution // The Citadel // Emperor's Respite // Equinox // Eternity // Firebase Echo // Gamber's Ruin // Legion's Gulch // Vostok
    Destiny 2 - Altar of Flame // The Anomaly // The Burnout // Cauldron // Convergence // The Dead Cliffs // Distant Shore // Endless Vale // The Fortress // Fragment // Javelin-4 // Midtown // Pacifica // Radiant Cliffs // Widow's Court // Wormhaven

As Year 4 starts, we're also taking the opportunity to focus the Crucible experience by reducing the number of PvP playlists and modes to those that receive the most play. This will increase the matchmaking pools for the remaining playlists and make it easier to find matches with better connections. We'll have a full preview of Crucible changes later this Season, but here's a preview of modes that will be active, and modes that will be transitioning into the DCV:

Available PvP Modes on November 10 Moving into the DCV
    Rumble Supremacy
    Clash Countdown
    Control Lockdown
    Iron Banner Control Breakthrough
    Elimination Doubles
    Trials of Osiris Momentum Control
    Showdown Scorched
    Survival
    Mayhem Clash

Trials of Osiris Note In case it's not clear from the note above, the Trials of Osiris experience is not impacted by other content moving into the DCV this year. The Lighthouse will continue to be available to those who are able to complete a Flawless passage.

Raids and Dungeons No dungeons will be rotating into the DCV this November, as all dungeon-hosting destinations will remain active in the game during Year 4. Note that the Prophecy dungeon will become temporarily unavailable for a brief period to allow our team to make a necessary technical update. Expect details on dates and timing soon.

Available Dungeons on November 10 Moving into the DCV
    Shattered Throne (Dreaming City) None
    Pit of Heresy (Moon)
    Prophecy

Like strikes, raids follow the simple Vaulting rule: as a destination enters the DCV, so too do its raids.

Available Raids on November 10 Moving into the DCV
    [Redacted] Leviathan
Last Wish (Dreaming City) Eater of Worlds (Leviathan)
Garden of Salvation (Black Garden) Spire of Stars (Leviathan)
Scourge of the Past (Last City)
    Crown of Sorrows (Leviathan)

Anticipating players would want to grab the coveted raid rewards and Triumphs before they enter the Vault. This year's Moments of Triumph currently features the five raids being added to the DCV with the reward lockouts removed to make grinding them extra... well, rewarding. If you're looking to earn your Raid Ring, Moments of Triumph Seal, or just finish collecting the last few items for your collection, you have the rest of the Season to jump in with your friends and close out strong.

We also plan to bring the Vault of Glass out of the DCV and into Destiny 2 for the first time at some point during Year 4.

    Completing Your Collection

Exotic Quests As content enters the DCV, there will be some Exotic quests that can obviously no longer be completed in their original forms. Those quests will be retired on November 10 and incomplete progress abandoned.

If you want to acquire these Exotics via their original quests, do so prior to the end of the Season of Arrivals:

    • Sturm

    • MIDA Multi-tool

    • Rat King

    • Legend of Acrius

    • Sleeper Simulant

    • Polaris Lance

    • Worldline Zero

    • Ace of Spades

    • The Last Word

    • Le Monarque

    • Jotunn

    • Izanagi's Burden

    • Thorn

    • Lumina

    • Truth

    • Bad Juju

None of these legacy Exotics are being retired from Destiny 2. Their original acquisition journeys are simply entering the DCV alongside their supporting destination and activity content.

We still want new and existing players to be able to earn these legacy Exotics, so starting in Year 4, any Exotic tied to a quest that has been Vaulted (like those listed above) will now become available through a new Memorial kiosk situated among the Vault kiosks in the Tower. We'll have more information later this Season on how the Exotic Archive works, and how to earn any Exotics that you don't get your hands on before Year 4.

Now, you may be asking "Hey, what about catalysts previously acquired through content that's now in the DCV?" Here is a list of catalysts that are going into the DCV and will be unavailable to earn starting in Season 12.

Available Catalysts on November 10 Moving into the DCV
    Ace of Spades Bad Juju
    Black Talon The Huckleberry
    Borealis Izanagi's Burden
    Cerberus+1 Legend of Acrius
    Coldheart Polaris Lance
    The Colony Skyburner's Oath
    Crimson Sleeper Simulant
    D.A.R.C.I. Telesto
    Eriana's Vow Outbreak Perfected
Fighting Lion Whisper of the Worm
    The Fourth Horseman Worldline Zero
    Gravitron Lance
    Hard Light
    Jade Rabbit
    Lord of Wolves
    Lumina
    Merciless
    MIDA Multi-Tool
    Prometheus Lens
    The Prospector
    Rat King
    Riskrunner
    Sturm
    Sunshot
    SUROS Regime
    Sweet Business
    Symmetry
    Tommy's Matchbook
    Tractor Cannon
    Trinity Ghoul
    Vigilance Wing
    Wardcliff Coil
    Witherhoard

If you have these catalysts already equipped and their objectives completed, you can continue using them at your leisure. If you already have any catalysts with an asterisk, make sure you finish completing the necessary objective to apply it as the objective will no longer be available at the end of Season of Arrivals.

All of these catalysts will come out of the Vault and be made available with new objectives(if needed) in a future Season. But You Still Didn't Answer My Question!

    Q. What goes away when a destination is Vaulted?

    A. When a destination enters the DCV, its PvE content will no longer be available. Explicitly, this includes their unique:

    • Story missions and cinematics
    • Strikes (detailed above)
    • Raids (detailed above)
    • Dungeons (detailed above)
    • Adventures
    • Secret missions
    • Vendors and associated bounties
    • Destination-specific patrols
    • Collectables & scannables
    • Destination-specific activities (Ex: Mercury's Forge, Mars' Escalation Protocol)
    • Freely roaming the destinations themselves, exploring Lost Sectors, etc.

    Q. What will new Guardians experience if the Year 1 campaigns are going away?

    A. With some of the core Year 1 destinations entering the Vault, it's true that the free-for-all-players Red War, Curse of Osiris, and Warmind campaigns will no longer be playable.

We are building a new, expanded Guardian origin story on the Cosmodrome that will launch alongside Year 4 and will be available to all Guardians to play. It is designed to introduce you to the world and mechanics of Destiny and prepare you to play the action MMO game we all enjoy. The Forsaken and Shadowkeep story campaigns will still be playable in Year 4 for owners of those expansions.

    Q. What's happening to The Whisper and Zero Hour secret missions and their Exotic rewards?

    A. The Whisper is entering the Vault alongside Io, and so too is Zero Hour (given the old Tower was part of the Red War campaign and which is also entering the Vault). Their Exotic weapon rewards will not be acquirable until we find a new way to reintroduce them, so if you're keen to get them, make sure you do that now!

    Q. With the Forsaken campaign, Tangled Shore, and Dreaming City sticking around after Beyond Light's launch, does that mean other Year 2 Seasonal content will remain playable in Year 4 too?

    A. No. The Year 2 Seasonal content - including Forges, Reckoning, and Menagerie - will be entering the DCV on November 10. Be sure to experience that content and mark the final items off your collections and checklists before they are Vaulted. Here's a cheat sheet of what to complete:

    • Ada-1, Black Armory, and Season of the Forge quests.
    • Gambit Prime, Reckoning, and Season of the Drifter quests.
    • Benedict-66, Werner 99-40, Menagerie, and Season of Opulence quests.
    • Pinnacle and pursuit weapon quests.

      • Note: These weapons will receive an alternate acquisition method. More details to come later this Season.

We have no doubt that you'll have more questions on what's coming and going this fall. We'll be sharing more updates and Destiny Player Support will always have the latest updates available in our help archives. Here is a link to our DPS article that shares more details on the DCV.

    Pardon Our Dust

    Image Linkimgur

Our Player Support team is tracking new issues as well as the updates to fix them.

    This is their report.

    SOLSTICE BOUNTIES

In today's Hotfix 2.9.1.3, we resolved an issue where weekly and repeatable Solstice of Heroes bounties did not grant Bright Dust rewards upon completion. Solstice bounties will now award the following amounts of Bright Dust on completion alongside their other rewards:

Weekly Bounty: 200 Bright Dust per bounty.

Repeatable Bounty: 10 Bright Dust per bounty.

We are currently investigating a solution for players who missed out on Bright Dust rewards from bounty completions prior to the Hotfix, and will be granting Bright Dust to affected players in the near future.

    MEANS TO AN END

With Hotfix 2.9.1.3 we have resolved an issue causing the weekly Means to an End quest to be deleted off of players, preventing them from collecting their weekly Pinnacle reward.

Players who still encounter issues with the quest should report to our #Help forum.

    EAZ WEEKLY CHALLENGES

Earlier this week we disabled the EAZ Weekly challenges due to an issue preventing players from receiving Powerful Gear rewards upon completion. This issue should now be resolved, and the EAZ Weekly challenges re-enabled for all players.

Players who continue to encounter issues with the challenges should report to our #Help Forum.

    KNOWN ISSUES

While we continue investigating various known issues, here is a list of the latest issues that were reported to us in our #Help Forum:

    • The armor glows on the Magnificent Solstice armor sets and ornaments are less intense than intended.
    • Upgrading from the Majestic to the Magnificent Solstice armor set can result in a slight Power level reduction.
    • The Hunter Solstice Vest creates a gap at the waist of the female character model when used with certain leg armor.
    • The Solstice glows on male Hunters aren't aligned on the right knee.
    • The Renewed Solstice Triumph incorrectly states it unlocks after earning a Majestic Solstice set, when it actually requires a Magnificent Solstice set.

For a full list of emergent issues in Destiny 2, players can review our Known Issues article. Players who observe other issues should report them to our #Help forum.

Make Raids drop more end game loot, like Prisms and Gold Balls. Not just armour that we’ve had 30+ times by now.

    Posted: 20 Aug 2020 04:41 AM PDT

    Title says it all really...

We need more END GAME loot, not just RAID loot. RE-rolled armour stats is the only thing worth doing a raid for once you hit pinnacle cap, and even that can be daunting after a while.

Bring Back Guided Games Leviathan Emblems

    Posted: 20 Aug 2020 01:14 PM PDT

    Leviathan Guided Games Emblems

Emblem progress does not work in Crown of Sorrow which currently has Guided Games enabled, it only works in Leviathan, Eater of Worlds and Spire of Stars.

Currently these emblems are unobtainable. I think Guided Games we're disabled for Year 1 Leviathan Raids in the beginning of Forsaken or sometime after.

I think Bungie should bring back Guided Games for remainder of the Season. This can help Solo players get their Raid Ring Emblem complete if they wish to do so or players like my self, a Completionist, that strives to literally discover every item in the game.

How do you get these emblems? By completing Guided Games Encounters during any Year 1 Leviathan Raid.

Helping Hand - Rewarded after the first Encounter I think?

Neophyte Guide - Rewarded after completing 10? Encounters

Apprentice Guide - Rewarded after completing 25 Encounters

Master Guide - Rewarded after completing 50 Encounters

Which is funny because Master Guide taking the longest to get is a copy and paste and is literally the same emblem as another Guided Games emblem called Gather Your Fireteam for completing a Guided Games Nightfall.

    Tweet About Duplicate Emblems

I'm not a Game Developer and I have no idea how hard it is to re-enable Guided Games for the Year 1 Leviathan Raids. I'm just your ordinary hardcore/dedicated player that wants to complete their Collections.

Either above or make progress work toward getting the emblems in Crown of Sorrow. Doesn't matter matter what Leviathan Raid, I just want to finish my Collections☹️

With the Extended Season and the Raids being removed and being placed in the DCV in Beyond Light, it gives players like myself to get one more thing off the checklist done and potentially help some players go through some Raids before they go away indefinitely. I'm not asking for much

Unless you can hit precision shots through elemental shields, precision-based weapons shouldn’t roll genesis on them

    Posted: 20 Aug 2020 12:57 PM PDT

It would probably easier to make precision hits count through shields, but that isn't the case. Getting genesis on a supremacy or omniscient eye feels really bad because they have extremely low body shot damage. The same could go for scout rifles and hand cannons, although the problem mostly resides with snipers (particularly 140s). I would much rather prefer being able to crit through elemental shields like in d1.

Found a way to earn "free" silver with a little bit of work.

    Posted: 20 Aug 2020 05:30 AM PDT

If anyone else is interested, during some investigation last night, I found a way you can get "free" silver in Destiny. It does take a little work and answering questions, but I found it worth it when trying to get coins for pogo.

Here is what I found: 1. Get the Google Rewards app, and answer any surveys they send your way. It is a little slow at first, but you will start to earn money for the Google Play store 2. Sign up for Stadia (I am in the free trial right now, but then will use the free version), and install the Stadia app on your phone. 3. Log into Destiny from the app (ensure you set up the cross save for Stadia with Bungie) and go to the Store. When you go to buy Silver, you will now have the option to use your Google Play balance from answering those questions!

Hopefully someone else will find this useful.

    Edit

    Per a comment by u/fokusfocus:

Just FYI there's no access to free version of D2 without Pro membership unless you purchase one of the expansions. Either purchase silver and spend it during free trial, subscribe to Pro, or purchase one of the expansions to have access to D2.

    Edit 2

As mentioned in multiple comments, and kind of surprised I didn't think of it sooner since I use it for my Xbox Game Pass. If you play on Xbox, it is also worth looking into Microsoft Rewards, as you can use the points and redeem toward Xbox/Microsoft gift cards, Xbox Live, Game Pass, etc...

If you keep up on the points enough, you barely have to worry about using money from your pocket to pay for your Xbox Live. So definitely worth the small amount of time each day answering quizzes in my opinion.

What if the first 3EDZ chests had a guaranteed solstice package and then it was rng from then on?

    Posted: 20 Aug 2020 02:48 PM PDT

I'm seeing these youtube videos of people killing 16+ mini bosses and getting pretty much all the chests afterwards but when i match make i feel like 8 mini bosses is a good run. I totally get i can find a LFG team and optimize better but it seems like a lot of work plus having to talk to strangers (lol) in what is really a very easy activity that i just want to put some music on and chill. But it's frustrating when your blueberries don't know or don't care what to do and you only get like 4-5 mini bosses. I feel like making at least the first 3 chests (but no more than 5) would be fair and still make those "bad" match made blueberry games still worthwhile - thoughts?

    • Fixed an issue where the Solstice of Heroes weekly challenge was not granting players a Powerful reward.

    Means to an end

    • Fixed an issue where the challenge to complete "Means to an End" could be accidentally removed from player's inventory independent of the weekly reset.

      • All players will need to reacquire the pursuit after the reset.

I think the inventory needs some updates

    Posted: 20 Aug 2020 11:56 AM PDT

I think the current inventory system isn't organized in the best way, especially if you are a newbie, the enormous variety of items can be a lot confusing at first.

So i thought to re-design part of the inventory tab with 2 addtional section :

    • Planetary Materials : it will contain the main material of each planet like dusklight , alkane , ecc.
    • Upgrading Materials : this one contain every material used to upgrade weapons and armors like gunsmith's materials, enhancement cores, ecc.

    Advantages :

    • First of all more space in the vault. why you may ask, using this new system must remove all the above items as inventory items and convert them to global currecies
    • Another advantage is that is more clear how many materials we have in our invetories,no more 3 stacks of gunsmith's materials (or even more if you play a lot); At the same time it will be imposible to shard rare materials like ascendant shards

Looking for clean female Destiny streamers.

    Posted: 20 Aug 2020 09:38 AM PDT

Okay to add context here... I wanted to see if there were any female streamers that are kid friendly for my daughter. I tried showing here Ms. 5000 watts, but her YouTube channel doesn't really show her streams, I know I'd have to go to twitch. The way we're set up, my daughter likes watching streamers on YT on our smart TV. Are there any that upload their content to YouTube... I know this is very specific, which makes it hard to find, lol! Any help appreciated!

What the hell even is an adaptive frame?

    Posted: 20 Aug 2020 09:47 PM PDT

Honestly, I mean I swear it's on so many weapons yet I have no idea what it actually means or does and how it compares to other frames. The definition of it is, "A well-rounded grip, reliable and sturdy." Like I'd sure as hell want all my weapons to be reliable and sturdy.

    Optimized Bounties For 2020/08/20

    Posted: 20 Aug 2020 02:39 PM PDT

No deer trivia today – I'm already way behind on this post due to being slammed at work, and I'm possibly definitely a little high on life pain meds for TMJ and an abscessed tooth, so I just wanna get this posted and go lie down now please k thx bye.

Also big shoutout to /u/Logose and his daily Bounty Hunter posts for cluing me in to the fact that the Drifter's Civic Duty and Gambit Prime Daily bounties do give XP. For some reason I had it in my head that they only awarded Synths and Infamy; probably because when you turn them in, the XP bar doesn't appear and show progress. But if you look at your total XP before and after, these bounties do in fact give you some.

It looks like the Civic Duty bounties award 1k unmodified, and the Daily Prime's award 3k unmodified. Neither as good as a normal bounty, but if we're doing the relevant activities anyway, there's no reason not to pick them up.

Step 1 - Take care of your teeth, so you don't spend upwards of 7k fixing them all. Ow.

Step 2 - Pick up the following dailies. Weeklies can be found here.

    Tower Bounties:

    • Zavala Daily – From Downtown – 2 Super Multikills
    • Zavala Daily – Show Them The Light – 5 Super Kills in Strikes
    • Zavala Daily – Finish Them – 5 Finisher Kills in Strikes
    • Shaxx Daily – Burn Bright – Cast Your Super Twice in Crucible
    • Shaxx Daily – Power Up – Collect Heavy Ammo in Crucible
    • Shaxx Daily – In the Zone – Capture 3 Zones in Control
    • Ada-1 Daily – Rasmussen Tribute – Kill 50 Enemies With Power Weapons
    • Ada-1 Daily – Gofannon Forge Ignitions – Complete the Gofannon Forge
    • Ada-1 Daily – Forge Saboteurs Hunt – Kill a Forge Saboteur
    • Drifter Daily – Reaper: Reaping in the Crucible – Kill 10 Enemies in the Crucible
    • Drifter Daily – Invader: Invading With Style – Rapidly Kill 2 Guardians in the Crucible
    • Prismatic Recaster Daily – Cabal Crash – Kill 5 Cabal With Finishers
    • Prismatic Recaster Daily – Domino Effect – 3 Rapid Multikills
    • Prismatic Recaster Daily – Wayfaring Spelunker – Clear 1 Lost Sector

    Planetaries:

    • Eris Morn – Moon Cheese – Loot 5 Chests on the Moon
    • Eris Morn – Element of Surprise – 15 Energy Weapon Streak Kills
    • Eris Morn – Knock Down, Drag Out – Kill 7 Fallen With Finishers on the Moon
    • Asher Mir – Frank Exchange of Views – Kill 30 Taken on Io
    • Asher Mir – Vexing Revelations – Kill 30 Vex on Io
    • Asher Mir – One Shot, One Kill – 10 Precision Kills on Io
    • Failsafe – Pinpoint Accuracy – 10 Precision Kills on Nessus
    • Failsafe – Cabal or Nothing – Kill 30 Cabal on Nessus
    • Sloane – Kaboom – 3 Power Weapon Multikills on Titan
    • Sloane – The Old-Fashioned Way – 15 Melee Kills on Titan
    • Devrim Kay – European Live Zone – Kill 50 Enemies in the EDZ
    • Devrim Kay – Deadeye – 10 Precision Kills in the EDZ
    • Devrim Kay – Exterminator – Kill 30 Fallen in the EDZ

Step 3 - Follow these steps:

    1. Fly to Titan, grab Sloane's bounties, then play the Savathun's Song Strike. (15 minutes) Technically it's more efficient for dailies to do Festering Core with Asher's bounties, but this will get us closer to finished Zavala's Weekly, and we're still doing Io anyway.
    2. Play one match of Control. If needed, play one more Crucible match of any type. (10-20 minutes)
    3. Fly to Nessus, grab Failsafe's bounties, then in any order, clear the Gofannon Forge and the Cabal Public Event in Artifact's Edge. While at the PE, kill the Forge Saboteur as well. (15 minutes)
    4. Fly TO THE MOOOOOOOOOOOOON, grab Eris's bounties, then loot and slay in Archer's Line. (10 minutes)
    5. Fly to Io, grab Asher's bounties, then clear one Vex and one Taken Lost Sector. (10 minutes)
    6. Fly to the EDZ, grab Devrim's bounties, and try to get a Fallen Public Event. If none are starting for a while, just clear two Fallen Lost Sectors in Trostland. (5-10 minutes)

    Total Non-Elemental Non-Weapon-Specific Bounties Cleared:

    • 27 Dailies
    • Possibly Crucible Weeklies

    Total Time: 65 – 80 minutes

    Bounties Per Minute: .372

    Rewards:

    • 156,000 XP (unmodified)
    • 15 Vanguard Tokens, 3/8 Vanguard Weekly Challenge
    • 15 Crucible Tokens, 3/8 Crucible Weekly Challenge
    • 3 Modulus Reports
    • 1 Reaper, 1 Invader Synth
    • 75 Altered Element
    • 15 Helium Filaments
    • 15 Phaseglass Needles
    • 15 Dusklight Shards
    • 10 Alkane Dust
    • 10 Datalettuce Season Ranks Per Hour: 1.29

    Extra Weapon/Elemental Specific Bounties:

    • Zavala: Arc Kills in Strikes
    • Banshee: Auto Rifle, Bow, Heavy GL, Void Kills in Strikes
    • Failsafe: Sniper Rifle Kills
    • Put 'em all together: Run an Auto Rifle, Bow, and Heavy GL in the Strike, one of which is Void and one of which is Arc. Finish any remaining kills plus Sniper kills in the Forge. This is 6 extra bounties for 36,000 XP.
    • Eris also wants Hand Cannon kills. Use an Energy Hand Cannon to double up with Element of Surprise.

Solo Flawless Prophecy - Quadruple Bows

    Posted: 20 Aug 2020 06:48 PM PDT

This was fun. First boss took quite a few attempts to get down. Wasteland and Hexahedron were no issue. Final boss was difficult just because of add clear. Practiced first and final bosses a few times over and got this on my second full run though.

A 2-phase is possible on Phalanx Echo, but I didn't feel it was worth the risk though. I stretched it out to a 3-phase for safety's sake.

A 4-phase is possible on Kell Echo with optimal DPS - hitting every shot with Leviathan's Breath (I missed quite a few because of his movements) and hoping for ammo drops along the way.

    Class:

    • Hunter - max mobility and high strength, bottom tree tether

    Weapons:

    • Whispering Slab - Archer's Tempo / Demolitionist / Taken Spec
    • Arsenic Bite - Snapshot / Explosive Head / Taken Spec
    • Leviathan's Breath

    Exotic Gear:

    • Sixth Coyote

    Mods:

    • Mobility
    • Powerful Friends
    • Reserves/Scavengers/Finders
    • Minor Resist
    • Taken/Hive Barriers
    • Oppressive Darkness
    • Concussive Dampener

The Community Creations Page + Lack of Updating

    Posted: 20 Aug 2020 07:13 PM PDT

This week, I noticed that (having tried to submit myself) there were at least 20 MotW video submissions on youtube submitted. None were accepted, and the community creations page only updated for the first time this week yesterday with two pieces of artwork, and again this morning with a bunch of artwork as well.

At the moment, the policy at Bungie is to not mention reasons for denial or if it has been denied at all. The runner up this week (well deserved, mind you, the video is amazing) was picked for a second time, instead of taking a look at some of those submissions which I saw which I believe at least one if not multiple could have won.

What is going on with the community creations page? I understand one of the CM's this week was away on vacation, but it essentially never got updated up until this morning and a winner was picked twice.

There should be an open policy or at least they should let you know if you got denied, or if it's still waiting for approval. I know myself and others essentially spent all week waiting to see if it would get in, only to find out none did at all.

One other thing to note is that winners have been picked from off site (twitter as an example), meaning they have not had to go through the process of submitting through the community creations page, like it says in the help article that you have to. ( https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/44415 ).

Submissions through twitter means that the success of the submission depends on visibility and connections, essentially, who you know/what you know to make it visible. I don't want to sound like I'm being a stickler for rules, but given the guidelines you are told for submissions in regards to submitting to the community page, not everyone has an equal chance.

Many twitter submissions have been amazing, and at the same time, the rules should state clearly with how you can submit it otherwise since off site ones have won consistently and have not had to go through the community submission process. This goes doubly so if the community creations page where you are told to submit it to qualify (like it says in the article) is not going to be updated for a week, like in this week's case.

I doubt this will reach anyone at the team, but I'd love for this to not happen again in the future in regards to the the lack of updates and complete radio silence, as well as with more clarity on the rules. Thanks!

Halloween Event Idea :Haunted Dreadnought (Oryx's Ship)

    Posted: 20 Aug 2020 04:19 PM PDT

Since we killed Oryx a long time ago, yet we never blew his ship up, I think we're left to assume it's just floating there, stuck in the asteroid belt of Saturn. If we're also to assume we killed everything on board, I think it makes for a cool and spooky "ghost ship" vibe.

I'm not sure where to go from there, but I like the atmosphere haha. Maybe we have to navigate the ship looking for loot and occasionally getting jump-scared by monsters or ghosts. Golgoroth was his creepy pet orge, I wonder what other kinds of creatures he had stashed away we can fight or find?

Any other good ideas are welcome! I think the Haunted infinite forest is cool in its own way but it will continue to get more dull if there's no innovation.
