| Terraria added a nice little destiny reference in yesterday's update. Posted: 14 Oct 2020 06:52 AM PDT Terraria is known for having a bunch of references to many different things but yesterday in the games final update they added a new vanity set, the helmet of this set seems to be a reference to the skull of dire ahamkara since it's a vaguely dragon looking skull with the text: "That right there is 100% genuine ahamkara, Trust!" To me this just sounds like drifter trying to sell me a counterfeit skull of dire ahamkara. Also it's important to note that this final round of vanity set were made by comunity members and not by the devs themselves, this concept was submitted by a guy with the username "soda hunter" so thank you to him for finally getting a destiny reference into the game. | Beyond Light giving us new armor, new guns, and a new destination, but I'm excited for new music! Posted: 14 Oct 2020 02:35 PM PDT With Beyond Light on the horizon, I am excited that we are getting new things such as armor, shiny new weapons, and even a new playable space that I can't wait to see and experience. However the most thing I am excited for is the music to give me shivers down my spine. The thing that makes me come back to destiny is always the music. Since the beginning, the start of Destiny 1, the music made me feel not like I was just starting a new game, but I was starting a new chapter in a part of my life with this very song at the beginning, "The Traveler". Ever since then we have been hearing different music throughout destiny that makes us just love the game even more and makes us more engaged. When us as guardians first got introduced to Oryx, the Taken King, here I'm thinking that it is just another bad guy. However it was his music, his theme, that made me feel like that this enemy, this being, is not just a monster but a king ("Regicide"). I thought that Bungie had did a phenomenal job and this was pinnacle music, but it just kept getting better. When Rise of Iron hit, I loved the feeling that we were on a new journey with Saladin, but man did it hit me with some feels when "At Peace" started to play knowing that he was the only one left and that we were going to become one as well. Remember when Wrath of the Machine dropped and we were all excited to play and when we got to the final boss room. Aksis, Archon Perfected. We kill him and realized...there's another phase!? It was so cool seeing him get back up getting ready for another whoopin. But the song that I believe is Bungie's best work is "Eyes Up". This song plays in the background of this fight and it sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it. Desitny 2 has some amazing music that can go from curiosity and wondering that a planet that can be some what peaceful ("Nessus"), to the time crunching, palm sweating idea that this objective needs to get done right now or we are going to wipe ("Watchtower"). These are little bits and pieces of music that make Destiny as a whole stand out to me. Of course there are more scores and songs to mention that are not on here because all the music is fantastic. So yes I am excited for all the new things to come in Beyond light. But nothing sets the scene like music does. TL;DR: Me like Destiny music, me waiting for new Destiny music. I'm surprised that some players that I've seen in general play don't notice that spamming heavy attacks as if we're playing Axsis phase 2 in WOTM does as much damage as light attacks if you don't let your heavy attack charge up. You're just wasting damage time. Instead, try doing a heavy attack once, then spam light attacks until your heavy attack charges up. You will do more damage this way. You can see if it is charged up if you look where your melee charge is usually. Then heavy attack, light attacks, rinse and repeat. Pair this up with whirlwind blade and you've got a good combo. Edit: this is in no way a rant post. Just a general observation. I've seen this happen a lot so it must mean many players still don't know about how to use a sword. [link] [comments] |

| With Beyond Light, every planet will have Fallen and/or Scorn Posted: 14 Oct 2020 10:13 AM PDT I just realized that with the addition of Europa and the Cosmodrome, and the Sunsetting of Io, Mercury, and Mars, every single zone in the game will have Fallen except the Dreaming City, which still has Fallen spin-off "Scorn". This isn't a complaint, mind you, they're my favorite race and I'm hoping to see more development of the Fallen House situation in Beyond Light, I just thought it was interesting in comparison to a time when The Cabal were on nearly every map. It's just a shame that we have all this cool stuff that we've been collecting for years and it's either getting sunset or it just collects dust in the vault. Posted: 14 Oct 2020 03:08 PM PDT The new PS4 update 8.0.0 added a brand new way parties are formed/made, you can no longer make parties private or public because it is now tied to message groups and your friends list. I'm just interested to see what the PS4 Destiny community thinks about the new update. I am unsure if the PS5 parties will work the same way, but if they do I definitely think this will effect playstation LFG groups for most end game activities. What do y'all think? Discuss. | Posted: 14 Oct 2020 09:55 AM PDT Once falling guillotine was noticed for being good I have realized how much fun it is to be using an exotic primary or secondary. Im mainly a pve player so i always felt that i was supposed to use whisper or xeno for all bosses but now that we have something that deals alot of damage thats not an exotic i feel like my arsenal is now more open to more creativity then when it was only good to use exotic heavies. I want to hear other opinions on legendaries being good raid boss damage. Im not on this sub much so i dont know if this is a mass posted topic [link] [comments] |
| Guaranteed perfect fifth kill for Polaris lance catalyst Posted: 14 Oct 2020 02:02 PM PDT Go to the castellum in the laviathan then get the first 3 precision hit on any enemy then find a full health legionary headshot it for the last precision hit then body shot the same legionary with the perfect fifth. The explosion will bring him to a sliver of health and the burn will finish him off. Just do that 50 times and you'll have the perfect fifth kill part of the catalyst done well before the enemies defeated is done. [link] [comments] |

| This game is so infuriating for solo PvP players Posted: 14 Oct 2020 07:30 PM PDT One game in survival we win 4-3, i had 24 defeats and my other two randoms had 7 combined kills. Next game i go 14 kills and double damage of the next highest guy in the lobby, and my teammates have 4 and 6 kills. My glory is at 3700, how is this the matchmaking we get??? [link] [comments] |
