To Yote-Un, the Sentry Titan Who Left a Hell of an Impression

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 01:58 PM PST

A day or so ago a friend of mine and I were playing some Gambit Prime as we usually do. We like to complain at each other about a lot of the pubbers. He's a collector, and regularly has motes swiped as people deposit 3. I'm an invader, who primes themself with all the goodies right before the portal opens up, only to have someone leap through with 7 motes and die horribly within seconds. Basically, normal commiseration about the worst of the worst players.

And we get into a game with a man who clearly has 15/15 Sentry. A bright yellow titan, who never spoke a word. We didn't expect much from him. It's not that we thought he'd do badly, we just didn't look at him in an real, special light.

Until the first invasion, that is.

Normally, I sit mid and shoot at the mobs, kill blockers, and plink off invaders while waiting for an invasion of my own. I like to remain useful and supportive even when unable to directly engage.

It was while doing just that, checking the common invasion entry locations, that I spotted our fellow titan stop what he was doing. Immediately he turned away from the motes and started hunting. 3 seconds later I saw a marker for the invader. 2 seconds after that, The Drifter politely informed me that the invader was down as I stood there feeling obscenely useless.

The match progresses, we do well. I invade and deny my share of motes, my friend collects well over half our bank, and Yote-Un keeps to his namesake as he kills every single invader within 5 to 10 seconds of them spawning in. This man was a goddamn wall.

It was around halfway in we noticed his kinetic. It was Wish Ender. This man had made it his job to remove invaders from the equation so hard, he equipped what amounts to janky wall hacks just for that sole purpose. So dedicated was he, that he would stop any and all Primeval shooting solely to leave and hunt down the would-be killer... And I felt perfectly safe with him doing just that.

What ascended him into godhood, however, was one particular moment.

A warlock invaded, the same one who had countless times. In traditional fashion, our ball-deep defender dashed right into danger. He marked the invader and moved in for the kill. The warlock, in a cunning move taken straight from one of his Japanese ninja animes, dropped from the ledge.

Now, in this case, most people would reevaluate their options. The invader is no longer in sight, but is also temporarily not a threat. Reassess the situation, prepare for the invader's next move. They're on the clock, they'll make that move, you just need to be ready.

Yote-Un pulled out his shotgun and dropped off the ledge.

No pause. No hesitation. Not a moment's thought that amounted to anything short of "Remove invader". This man had a job, and by the Light he was going to do it.

This, consequently, got me, my friend, and him all killed to the Warlock's immediate super.

So you'd think this would put a damper on this man's enthusiasm. This was the first death any had experienced. He'd finally failed.

    Nope.

Two invasions followed. The first, almost as if he'd taken the death personally, I watched as he fired his bow to mark the invader at a range... Only to pull out his shotgun and charge across the map to finish the job.

The latter, after we had won, just to make it clear whose house it was, he blew down the invader in two clean shotgun blasts.

No word said. No taunt. No interaction outside of pure fury directed to anyone unfortunate enough to be coloured red. He was a bull.

I don't know if you're reading this, Yote-Un. But I like to believe you're out there somewhere, having built a wall of invaders' corpses to defend your team.

I really, really hope I never end up against you.

    TL;DR

    Invader: Exists

    Yote-Un: Oh hell-the-fuck no.

The drop rate of the updated year 1 Black Armory weapons should be raised to one drop with every completion.

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 10:26 AM PST

I don't really understand why these weapons have to be so rare. I have the Blacksmith title and grinded a lot of forges to get good rolls on the Black Armory weapons, yet I have only two usable rolls on two of the updated year 1 weapons. Just so everybody is on the same page, these are all the updated weapons I'm talking about:

    Galliard-42 XN7568

    Acantha-D XK8434

    Bad News XF4354

    Swift Ride XE8375

    Hoosegow XE5837

    Tango-45 XK5094

    Dead Man Walking XX7463

    Baligant XU7743

    Show of Force XF4865

    Atalanta-D XG1992

The year 1 weapons that were updated for Black Armory have some very nice archetypes, mainly suros energy weapons that have no nice counterparts anywhere in the game currently. I'd really like to grind some more forges for a cool Tango-45 or Swift Ride. Unfortunately, the drop rate is really not motivating to play. I don't really understand why it has to be so stingy considering the lack of loot updates. Bungie said it's time consuming to make loot, yet there is this great loot table that is basically just a side effect of farming forges and doesn't have a good grind behind it or accessibility.

Get ready for invisible knife-flingy bois

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 05:18 AM PST

NEW Weighted Knife: High-damage knife throw with a long wind up. Travels at high speeds, bounces once, and does extra damage to the head. Precision shot final blows recharge the melee completely. One-hit precision final blow in PvP.

Assassin's Cowl Exotic helmet: Defeating a Guardian with a melee attack or a combatant with a finisher grants invisibility and restores a portion of health and shields.

So get a Throwing Knife OHK, go invisible, stalk your next victim and OHK him too.

    This gonna be fun. >:)

...and I think this is the most beautiful compliment someone ever gave me. Someone with a mask helmet on that is.

Edit: MOMMY, I MADE THE FRONT PAGE OF SOMETHING! sorry I had to...

Edit2: Oh! And this turned into a beautiful homage to Shaxx's lines. Thank you so much, Guardians :)

I know this is minor, but The Scarlet Keep should have a Nightfall Emblem

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 03:47 PM PST

As one of the harder nightfalls to complete, I feel like this is one deserving of an emblem and an aura. I understand Bungie has a lot on their plate right now, but eventually getting a purple aura from this nightfall would feel very rewarding.

Dear Bungie if you have no plans to update y1 weapons please take them out of planetary vendors loot pool. It's practically impossible to farm planetary armour.

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 11:19 AM PST

Or add a chance to earn armour for public events and other activities completion. For example, right now if you want to look like a cool EDZ stalker you're forced to use crappy vendor roll because you can spend 1000 recourses and get 20 call to serve and 3 helmets with wrong affinities.

Idea: a kinetic fusion rifle that fires a burst of nails/or other metal objects/or just straight up bullets

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 05:56 AM PST

Ikora's biggest victory spanning the Vex Offensive, was not the Portal completed, but Ikora having no clue when the weekly reset is for her bounties

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 06:04 PM PST

Guardian: So you're not going to give us new weeklies... until a week from now

Ikora: No, Guardian. These will reset at least twice a day.

    submitted by /u/TylerFortierPhoto
    [link] [comments]

Since regular nightfalls no longer give powerful, and there isn't any incentive to doing them outside of nightfalls specific loot...

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 11:59 AM PST

... maybe buff their drop rate? Even a guaranteed drop per run, perhaps?

People would still farm for God rolls.

It's just a huge time investment right now, especially when speed running is difficult with no positive modifiers on nightfall card (and what only feels like a hundred boss immunity phases in hollowed lair)

Signed, A really tired mindbenders farmer.

Let's have some fun and assign all exotic weapons an artifact mod (Anti Barrier, Unstoppable, Overload)

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 09:41 AM PST

Hey guys, I don't post much on here but I have noticed there's plenty of posts suggesting the addition of the artifact mods (Anti Barrier, Unstoppable, Overload) to other exotics in order to have more variety in our exotic options when it comes to Nightfalls and Raids.

What I want to do in this post is discuss some solutions rather than make the same suggestion again and just have fun by imagining a world where every exotic had one of the artifact mods, assuming this new mechanic sticks around for the coming seasons.

I've put all the exotics into a list below along with the proposed mod [A, O, or U] and some comments or remarks on the reasoning behind my choices. Let me know what you think! Let's have a discussion!

    Kinetic Weapons

    • Sweet Business [O] All rounds have Overload when the weapon reaches max RPM
    • Sturm [O] Sturm overcharge rounds have Overload
    • Vigilance Wing [O] Quick bursts Overload the target (3rd burst perhaps?)
    • Rat King [U] First bullet from invisibility is Unstoppable
    • MIDA Multi-Tool [AOU] Combine MIDA radar perk into the intrinsic perk and add a new perk to replace it --> Multi-Tool: Hold reload to swap between A, U, and O.
    • Crimson [A] Weapon so illegal it uses illegally modified shield piercing bullets
    • The Jade Rabbit [U] Triggering Fate of all Fools makes the next round Unstoppable
    • The Huckleberry [O] Riding the bull makes rounds Overload targets
    • SUROS Regime [OU] Spinning Up makes rounds Overload after holding down the trigger. Dual Speed Receiver loads an Unstoppable round when aiming down sights
    • Cerberus+1 [A] Just imagine shredding barriers with this weapon
    • Wish-Ender [U] Arrows are Unstoppable when fully drawn… Like literally, cuz they pass through targets.
    • Malfeasance [O] Explosion from 5 slugs Overloads targets
    • Ace of Spades [A] Memento Mori bullets are also Anti Barrier
    • The Chaperone [O] Precision shots Overload targets
    • Izanagi's Burden [U] Having any stacks of Honed Edge makes the bullet Unstoppable
    • The Last Word [O] Quick hip fire shots Overloads targets
    • Arbalest [A] This one is a bit controversial. I've seen many arguments and counter arguments for this. Many people wish for it to get Anti Barrier as it is currently in a seriously weak spot as a weapon but others say this will make it too strong against the Match Game modifier. Therefore, a compromise would be to grant this weapon Anti Barrier to preserve its identity but in exchange, reduce the damage of the weapon by 30-50% in PvE.
    • Thorn [O] Poison with Soul Devourer active Overloads targets
    • Outbreak Perfected [U] Nanites are Unstoppable… Because SIVA is unstoppable…
    • Bad Juju [O] Quick bursts Overload the target (3rd burst perhaps?)
    • Lumina [U] Loads an Unstoppable round after a short time of aiming down sights
    • Monte Carlo [U] Rounds with Markov Chain x5 are Unstoppable

    Energy Weapons

    • Coldheart [U] Beam becomes Unstoppable when Longest Winter reaches its maximum damage output
    • Fighting Lion [U] Direct hits are Unstoppable
    • Sunshot [A] Sunburn shots and Sun Blast explosions goes through barriers
    • Graviton Lance [O] Black Hole Overloads targets
    • Skyburner's Oath [A] I mean cmon… it already goes through Cabal shields. It is only logical that it receives Anti Barrier.
    • Riskrunner [O] Superconductor shots Overloads targets
    • Hard Light [A] Hard Light and Borealis are not popular weapons and for weapons that are meant to be a swiss army knife against elemental shields, they don't see much play because of how little damage they do. Perhaps its an issue with the archetype of the weapon. Maybe if Hard Light was an SMG, it would be a decent weapon. But as it stands, these weapons need to re-gain their identity as shield piercing weapons and receive Anti Barrier.
    • Merciless [O] Shots with Impetus active Overloads targets
    • Borealis [A] As explained in the Hard Light remarks. I think Borealis would benefit even more from having Anti Barrier since it's a sniper rifle
    • Prometheus Lens [A] Burn is Anti Barrier
    • Telesto [O] Projectile detonation Overloads targets
    • Polaris Lance [U] Perfect Fifth is Unstoppable
    • Trinity Ghoul [O] Lightning Rod Overloads targets
    • Wavesplitter [A] Anti Barrier when it oscillates to max power or when Supercharged Battery is active. Max power beam is so hot it burns through Barriers
    • Lord of Wolves [O] Releasing the Wolves makes the 10 shot burst Overload targets.
    • Jotunn [U] Yea… Let's not give this weapon Anti Barrier. it would be too strong imo. Unstoppable when aiming down sights is not bad however.
    • Le Monarque [A] Poison goes through Barriers
    • Tarrabah [O] Ravenous Beast Overloads targets
    • Eriana's Vow [A] Default
    • Divinity [O] Default

    Power Weapons

    • The Prospector [O] Excavating 3 or more grenades on a target Overloads it
    • Tractor Cannon [U] Suppressing enemies is Unstoppable
    • Legend of Acrius [A] Shock Blast penetrates Barriers
    • D.A.R.C.I. [O] When Personal Assitant is active, the next bullet Overloads targets
    • The Wardcliff Coil [O] Targets hit by 5 mini rockets from the volley are Overloaded
    • The Colony [O] Insects Overload targets
    • Worldline Zero [U] Tessaract attack is Unstoppable
    • Sleeper Simulant [A] Beam so hot it burns barriers
    • Whisper of the Worm [U] Gains Unstoppable after a short time aiming down sights (same time as Whispered Breathing)
    • One Thousand Voices [A] Beam so hot it burns barriers
    • Two-Tailed Fox [OU] The Void rocket is Unstoppable, the solar rocket Overloads targets.
    • Black Talon [A] Crow's Wings attack slices through Barriers.
    • The Queenbreaker [UA] Unstoppable while aiming down with Marksman Sights. Anti Barrier with Combat Sights.
    • Thunderlord [O] Lightning strikes from Lighting Rounds Overload targets
    • Anarchy [O] Enemies hit by 2 or more Arc Traps are Overloaded
    • Truth [U] Trueseeker rocket is Unstoppable
    • Deathbringer [O] Targets hit by 3 or more Void projectiles are Overloaded
    • Xenophage [A] Should have had Anti Barrier by default
    • Leviathan's Breath [U] Default

    Mayhem and Erianas Catalyst

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 04:56 PM PST

After 64 games of mayhem this weekend just to get the catalyst I am officially burned out. Whos idea was this to make something so grindy and then on top of that I still need to actually get kills to finish the catalyst. Please don't do this in the future for other seasonal exotics or at least lower the amount of crucible or Gambit games required. I can only imagine what the casual Destiny players are going through.

Armor 2.0 makes certain sets almost completely irrelevant for seemingly no reason. Here's how one might fix that.

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 09:23 AM PST

(TL;DRs after every idea point as well as at the end)

    Dear Bungie,

I love Armor 2.0, truly. It is easily the most positive and beneficial overhaul to any major system the game has ever seen, in my opinion. It has its flaws though, and can be criticized in about a thousand different ways like anything else. My biggest problem however, is that the way stat rolls work makes certain armor sets functionally useless for anyone who cares about their armor being even slightly decent. I'm not talking about top tier players and min-maxing, I'm saying certain sets of armor rarely roll above 48 to 50.

Black Armory is my favorite expansion to ever grace this franchise, and it sucks that all of the forge armor drops with completely abysmal rolls despite being such a hassle to farm. Even when I do get all of it in the form of Armor 2.0, it's functionally useless to me due to every piece I've gotten being 15-20 points lower than the rest of my gear. Additionally, I paid decent money to get all of the glows for my solstice armor without burning my bright dust once I heard that we would be getting a 2.0 set of it in Shadowkeep. It is incredibly frustrating that the singular set of the 2.0 solstice gear I received on day 1 sits in my vault with every piece at 46-48, which is hilariously lower than even the Armor 1.0 version of the same set in the same vault.

So what could be done about this?

    The Problem:

As said in this Forbes article from Iron Banner earlier this month, "This has reminded me just how odd the current stat rolls system is in the game. Namely that there are essentially only two tiers of stats rolls in the game. Good, and garbage, and the good list is very, very short." (Tassi, 2019)

The vast majority of sets in the game as of now seemingly don't even have a chance of rolling at or above 60. Most open world drops for me have been around 50-55, and other sets are far lower. Seemingly due to where and how some items drop, certain armor sets such as the Annealed Shaper/Woven Firesmith/Forged Machinist sets from the Black Armory forges are made realistically unusable if you care about your stats at all. I know someone will argue that you can just use it and it won't kill you, but everyone wants high or even decent stats and the stats on these are awful.

These tend to drop around 48 total stat points, which makes it pretty hard to willingly use these over basically anything else. Due to this, these armor models as cosmetic pieces aren't really an option for regular use, and there is zero incentive to farm them. I have plenty of universal ornaments, but there are also plenty of fantastic sets in game that I would grind for if it were possible to get them to the level of my regular gear. At present, there is no solution to this issue aside from just using the ornaments I have and forgetting about those other sets I'd like to use entirely.

    Possible Solutions:

    • The best option for cosmetic purposes exclusively: Transmogrification: I'm aware this is on Bungie Pls so I'm not gonna touch on it much as we all know what I'm talking about.

    • Second best: Power level-esque averaging system, with tweaks: You might be able to guess what this one means. This would mean a system somewhat like our power level, in which the game looks at all of our owned gear for our class and calculates an average. The tweak I mentioned before would be that this would primarily apply to non-pinnacle - or, "normal" - drops. The idea here is that we would essentially have a minimum stat roll for gear earned from the open world, old seasonal activities, crucible, gambit, strikes, etc. This would lead to a LOT less dismantling, would instantly make relevant the functionally dead sets mentioned earlier, and would pretty generously improve the day-to-day cosmetic potential of our guardians if we can't have transmog. This way, even if a world drop or older-sourced piece of gear wasn't the best piece we had, it wouldn't be absolute garbage like it can be right now.

This average would be calculated before mods and maybe before masterworking (I say maybe because the high cost of masterworking might justify it counting in the average, but that is arguable I'm sure), much like how gear drops do not take into account seasonal bonus power TL;DR - If all of the gear I wear and lots that I own are 65-75 in stat total, I shouldn't be getting 48s. Give us a power-level esque average that sets a common minimum for open-world and dime-a-dozen gear drops.

    - This one I thought was interesting as it would also kill a second bird with the same stone by giving more relevance to the Cryptarch at the same time as being a (less ideal than transmog) remedy to this issue:

Re-Ciphering (name subject to change): My idea here was that the Cryptarch could take a legendary piece of gear of a low stat roll, and in exchange for some materials (new or old), infuse the stats of another piece into the lower piece evenly. It should be said that this is not a rerolling system.

Example: You take to the Cryptarch a piece of gear that has a decent stat distribution and looks swag as anything, but has a stat roll of 48 (ouch). You give the Cryptarch material XYZ, maybe some cores or something, and sacrifice an Iron Banner piece from the same slot that has a stat roll of 62. What happens now is that the difference of these two numbers (14 points) is evenly distributed to the stats of the lower piece, in this case giving the lower piece +2 or +3 (depending on the rounding) to every stat. The inherent limiter on this would be the fact that you have to own the piece of gear that is high enough to be used as Re-Ciphering fodder, so there is no chance of this really breaking gearing in any way. TL;DR let the cryptarch break down gear and materials to evenly distribute the stat difference to a lower piece you'd like to use. Like infusion for stats basically.

    - Least ideal, but it's something: An item that would incrementally or otherwise raise gear stats: This one I have a much less solid idea of implementation for, and I was iffy on whether I should even bother adding it. Perhaps some kind of chalice-like item that gives you an interface to input materials (new or possibly old) to raise the stats of your gear to a reasonable limit (my best idea here is that this limit would be the average of your highest equippable stat total before mods and masterworking), to allow you to boost up pieces you like the stat distribution or look of, but have less than acceptable stat rolls.

Ideally, whatever it would cost would be something you can grind for, be that a respectable amount of an existing material, or a new resource entirely. As you can tell, this is very open-ended, but the idea is there, being a new item that would allow us to grind for higher stat rolls on our favorite gear. TL;DR - If we can't have one of the other two, give us a chalice-like item that lets us exchange some kind of grind-able resource for a stat increase on our gear

Conclusion: There are some unfortunate issues with Armor 2.0 as it stands, as much as I love the buildcrafting and freedom that it offers. It feels unfair and weird as anything that certain armor sets such as Forge armor and ESPECIALLY Solstice of Heroes gear are just made completely irrelevant for seemingly no reason at all. The solutions I've presented may not be perfect in some ways, but they are the culmination of several days of thought on this frustrating subject, and I wholeheartedly welcome any criticism or changes. If someone at Bungie does end up seeing this, I sincerely hope it gets passed down in some capacity so that I can use my beloved weak lil gear sets at last.

For everyone else, I thank you for reading if you actually did sit down and read all of this.

I guess my best TL;DR (although I'd love it if you could read the post cause it took a while lol) here would just be that it sucks how some armor sets are totally left in the dust due to how the system works, and I believe there are many ways to fix it, but the best aside from transmog would be giving us an average-based system that allows for a minimum stat roll on gear out in the wild, or a vendor to let us sacrifice extra gear to boost our fav pieces up.

Thanks a ton for reading. This post took a long time to write and I hope it can at least spark discussion on solutions to the issue, if not create some level of change. Have a fantastic day/night.

Make vendors sell a specific weapon each week so we can grind random rolls

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 05:05 PM PST

Like the braytech werewolf from FotL that we were able to buy from eva to get random rolls we should be able to use vanguard, crucible and (new) gambit tokens to grind for random rolls on a new gun every week. This can be extended to planetary vendors and calus tokens as well to give the y1 raids a reason to be played and maybe use synths to get reckoning weapons as well to give them a reason to exist now. Example would be one week zavala might sell service revolver and u can spend 20 vanguard tokens to get a random roll on the gun and next week it switches. It would give us another reason to play activities like strikes and gambit.

A brief guide to nightfall specific weapons that aren't the Mind Bender's Ambition

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 08:08 PM PST

Nightfalls, everyone's favorite grindable activity to get that sweet sweet exclusive loot you didn't even know existed. This is somewhat of a shame because nightfall weapons tend to drop with unique perk rolls, better base stats than regular weapons, and a few are actually good weapons. If you're a completionist or want to inflate your ego with a gun that makes up about 0.02% of all kills then this is for you. Mindbender's Ambition not included.

    Handcannons

There are 2 nightfall exclusive Handcannons in the game, one of which is hot garbage, and the other is a year 1 weapon.

    D.F.A

This is a year one 140 rpm kinetic hand cannon from Tree of Probabilities

    Barrel

    • Arrowhead Brake
    • Polygonal Rifling
    • Extended Barrel

    Magazine

    • Accurized Rounds
    • Drop-mag

    Unique perks

    • Opening Shot
    • Rampage

    Things to note:

    It's pretty and handles decently.

    Warden's Law

This gun was almost good. It is a 110 rpm kinetic hand cannon that shoots TWO bullets at the same time instead of one. You can farm this from Warden of Nothing.

Curated Roll: Hitmark HCS, Ricochet Rounds, Rampage, and Zen Moment.

    Perk column 1

    • Kill clip
    • Rampage
    • Hip-Fire Grip
    • Zen Moment
    • Opening Shot

    Perk column 2

    • Moving Target
    • Outlaw
    • Rangefinder
    • Threat Detector
    • Feeding Frenzy
    • Snapshot sights

    Things to note:

The two separate bullets fire in a cone and go further and further apart with distance. Also, you need BOTH bullets to land on the crit spot to give you the crit. However, this is the only 110 rpm hand cannon to roll with Feeding Frenzy.

    Sniper Rifles

There are 2 nightfall exclusive sniper rifles both of which are worth farming for specific reasons.

    Silicon Neuroma

This is a year one 72 rpm energy sniper rifle with static rolls from The Pyramidion.

    Barrel

    • Polygonal Rifling
    • Corkscrew Rifling
    • Arrowhead Brake

    Magazine

    • Accurized Rounds
    • Flared Magwell

    Unique Perks

    • Opening Shot
    • Snapshot Sights

    Things to note:

Silicon neuroma has a unique scope (similar to Defiance of Yasmin from D1 I believe) and a low zoom of 43, consider this for pvp if you haven't found a sniper you like yet.

    The Long Goodbye

This is a randomly rolled 90 rpm energy sniper from The Insight Terminus

curated roll; Polygonal Rifling, Light Mag, Rangefinder, Rapid Hit

    Perk column 1

    • Outlaw
    • Firmly Planted
    • Snapshot Sights
    • High Impact reserves

    Perk Column 2

    • Dragonfly
    • Fourth Time's the Charm
    • Rampage
    • Rapid Hit

    Things to note:

This was the OG dps sniper and still does work with 4th Times the Charm and High Impact Reserves. However, this sniper has the same zoom as the supremacy at 40, the chevron sight like bite of the fox and sole survivor, and is in your energy slot. This is a good alternative sniper to sole survivor because you can farm it as the specific loot in a nightfall, rather than relying on reckoning rng. I have a roll with snapshot and fourth times the charm and I use it for just about everything.

    Auto Rifle

Only 1 here folks and it's from year 1

    Duty Bound

This is a year one 600 rpm kinetic auto rifle with static rolls from Savathun's Song

    Scope

    • Fastdraw IS
    • Red Dot ORS-1

    Magazine

    • Ricochet Rounds
    • Accurized Rounds

    Unique Perks

    • Zen Moment
    • Rampage

    Things to note

It looks like the Warhammer 40k version of Monte Carlo but is about 40,000 times worse.

    Rocket Launcher

    Another lonely year one weapon

    Braytech Osprey

This is a High Impact Frame void rocket launcher from Strange Terrain.

    Launcher Barrel

    • Linear Compensator
    • Quick Launch
    • Countermass

    Magazine

    • High-Velocity Rounds
    • Implosion Rounds
    • Alloy Casing

    Unique Perk

    • Cluster Bomb

    Things to Note

The only use for this rocket launcher is for the Wayfarer title.

    Grenade Launcher

Only one available but we're getting to the better stuff

    The Milita's Birthright

This is a kinetic breech-loaded (tube) grenade launcher available from Lake of Shadows

Curated roll: Countermass, Blinding Grenades, Genesis, Threat Detector

    Perk Column 1

    • Genesis
    • Ambitious Assasin
    • Grave Robber
    • Quickdraw

    Perk Column 2

    • Rangefinder
    • AutoLoading Holster
    • Snapshot Sights
    • Moving Target

    Things to Note

This is the poor man's mountaintop and the only other kinetic grenade launcher. Most people use this to grind for their mountaintop kills running triple grenade launchers and it can roll with blinding, proximity, or spike grenades. Also, the nightfall this is available from is the shortest nightfall and typically takes less than 8 minutes per run.

    Pulse Rifle

Just one but boy oh boy has it gotten better with age

    Horror's Least

This is a 540 rpm (rapid-fire frame) energy pulse rifle from The Corrupted

Curated roll: Hammer-Forged Rifling, Extended Mag, Zen Moment, Outlaw

    Perk Column 1

    • Full Auto Trigger System
    • Zen Moment
    • Headseeker
    • Rangefinder
    • Under Pressure

    Perk Column 2

    • Moving Target
    • Kill Clip
    • High Impact Reserves
    • Dragonfly
    • Ambitious Assasin

    Things to Note

This is the 540 rpm pulse with the best base stats, and the archetype is currently terrorizing the crucible. This pulse rifle offers amazing stability and the "dreaming city scope", unfortunately, the strike is one of the longer ones so be prepared.

    TL;DR

If you're not a completionist, the pulse rifle, grenade launcher, and snipers are the weapons you should consider grinding for more or less in that order. Here's to hoping that your RNG is merciful and that Bungie adds year 3 nightfall weapons.

Fun fact: 7 years ago today, Marty recorded Music of the Spheres at Abbey Road Studios with Sir Paul McCartney.

There is website called Destiny item manager that lets you bank your items (or take them from bank) from anywhere

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 04:40 AM PST

I just wish someone told me about it earlier so I'd save all the time I spent

    a) loading to/from Tower

    b) looking through the Vault (that has no search whatsoever) trying to find that fusion rifle I need for bounty.

I know it can do much more (I'm still discovering its features) but the banking alone is so amazing I felt like I had to share. Tbh I am surprised it's not featured in this sub's sidebar.

Print your own Destiny Seal with a stand!

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 11:40 AM PST

    https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/11310-destiny-seals-and-hand-cannon-stands

Finally got around to posting the seals and gun stands I modeled earlier. Sorry it took so long! Enjoy!

Side note: I'm not playing Shadow Keep right now, so if there's new seals and someone gets me a good high res screen cap of it I can model those too and get them up when I have a chance.
