    Hello Guardians,

    Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

    We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

    With us no longer being able to purchase Eververse Engrams, the free track of the Seasonal Pass should have engrams at every Level, just like the good ole days.

    Despite everyone complaining about various issues, this season as a whole was definitely a good one. We had 2 big community events, some real world building, unique new weapons, a pretty decent seasonal activity with a unique final boss, and to top it all off, we got the legendary Saint-14 back and here to stay.

    All in all, I'd say this was our best season yet and I'm excited to see how the story continues into the next one.

    Re-playing the campaign with my friend that's new to the game has made me realize how awesome the Red War really was... And how underutilized Titan and the Arcology are.

    They're literally so beautiful and detailed, it's a shame they're not being used. The last mission where you drive the tanks and run over all the Hive pumped him up so much, he was having an amazing time and it pumped me up and made me miss that feeling! I love this game and I want to see it reach amazing heights!

    For Trials, could we get a shared commentary from Shaxx and Saint-14 like TV commentators on plays we make?

    It was one thing to here Shaxx scream at us for medals, it's another to hear him sing to Saint-14. We need more commentary from them. I would love to hear both compliment us as we progress through Trials.

    Can we please get a tab in collections for Weapon Ornaments?

    It's a pain in the ass having to check EACH AND EVERY gun to see if they have weapon ornaments. Having it set up the same way as Sparrows, with ornaments by season would make looking through your collection easier.

    Destiny couple commission exploring abandoned caves for Ahamkara bones, was super intimidating to get everything working from lighting, detail to overall sense of exploration. Hope you guys like it!

    Bring back D1 style reward screens

    D1 vs D2: A comparison of both games unique features

    Hello /r/DestinyTheGame,

    Since 2014, Destiny has come a long way. The franchise evolved in numerous ways, with new content, upgrades, buff, nerfs, evolutions and sadly, regressions. Like a lot of people, I like seeing stuff from D1 into D2, like exotics or PvP maps. But the thing I miss most are some features that made the game more enjoyable.

    I will list in this post features from D1 that I wish were in D2, but also list the unique features of D2 that improve the player experience.

    Destiny 1

    • Auto-dismantling of blue green gear: Because of the time spent cleaning the postmaster, this is probably the feature I miss the most. So much time would be saved if this was applied for blues.
    • More strike modifiers: D2 strike modifiers are bland. Heavyweight make strikes a breeze. I miss stuff like Small Arms and Specialist, and Airborne would be a godsent for Dawnblade Warlocks. It's a shame since Bungie created modifiers for Heroic Adventures on Mercury, but never applied them to Heroic strikes.
    • Skeleton Keys: Speaking of strikes, these were great to get unique loot without exclusively farming the Nightfall. By the way where is the unique loot for the new strikes ?
    • More Customizable skill tree: While they were not perfect, D1 skill trees allowed for more unique builds since your Super, melee and neutral upgrades were independant of each other.
    • Sparrow Horns: Please :(

    This is all I can think of at the moment, but if you feel I missed something tell me and I'll add it to the list. Make sure it's a feature and not content (like "D1 had this raid, or this exotic, or this PvP map, etc")

    Now for D2 there's a lot of good stuff as well:

    Destiny 2

    • Shaders on weapons, and piece by piece: That's pretty nice to mix and match colors, compared to D1 where the shader applied to all armor pieces.
    • Climbing ledges: A small detail that makes a huge difference.
    • More spawn points in Patrols: Also, being able to see where your teammates are on the map.
    • Being able to launch an activity from anywhere: Seriously, going back to Orbit was tedious.
    • Triumphs and In-game lore: Perfect to read during loading times.
    • Collection: Perfect to retrieve your cosmetic stuff and unique gear.
    • Weapon mods and Masterwork: A good step in creating unique builds.
    • Clan features: Altough imperfect, an improvement from D1.

    Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten should be amazing in PvE (at least against Hive)

    Maybe I am late to this party but, I was reading the text on LH and NF and Joseff gets the gun from Shaxx to settle his business with the Hive on the moon. How is it that they're not monsters against slaying Hive. Shoots should increase in damage as you keep slaying Hive (and magnificent howl should still work on headshots). Make it a grief gun, something to go against a specific enemy. It used to be kinda like that. You could even add a perk, "when fighting hive magnificent howl does increase critical damage and remains active as long as you keep hitting critical hits."

    It would be fun to have a reason to run these guns in PvE.

    The main reason I don't use Planetary sets is that there's no enjoyable way to grind them.

    I'm not a stats min-maxer, I only really care about a relatively high recovery roll.

    I only use seasonal mods on two or three pieces of gear depending on what I feel like.

    The main reason I don't use planetary gear is that I don't feel like sitting at a vendor and sifting through a bunch of Y1 weapons only to get an armor piece with 2 in the one or two stats I actually value. EP gear isn't a terrible grind now, but I would probably use more planetary gear if it dropped from strikes/public events/lost sectors on the planet it's from. If I could just play like I normally do and grind them organically I would probably use them more, but I'm not going to wait for Spider to get the right material and then spend a good chunk of time mindlessly clicking on vendor screens.

    Console players are damn good

    I switched to PC primarily from xbox when cross save came out. I played on my xbox for the first time in months and the game was so much harder! The lower FOV, the lower framerates, the recoil. It makes the game play much more difficult. Mad respect to all those on consoles who do flawless raids and the most challenging things in the game!

    Many Rare weapons look so incredible but aren’t useable because they have no Legendary equivalents

    Seriously, many Rare items look so incredible. But you can't mod them so they're useless. For example, here's an Allegro with the Calus's Selected shader. It looks awesome! But why would I use that when I could use Ace or something? Of course that problem wouldn't go away if it was legendary, but it would be so nice to just have a Legendary hand cannon with the same model, is all I'm suggesting.

    The state of Guided Games is pretty disappointing

    I'm not sure about other people's experiences, but trying on PC and Xbox it's usually just an unending queue for all activities with no indication of if people are looking.

    My main gripe from today is that I had a couple hours and thought I'd try do my first Last Wish. Since LFG is pretty much all "KWTD" I'd hoped guided games would help out. Sadly the 3 clans I matched with disbanded the party instead of looking to play with me.

    I know there's other resources and stuff it's just pretty disheartening to want to play something non-matchmade and have this feature not even near it's potential.

    Maybe I'm alone in this - has anyone else had a good experience with this recently?

    Edit: Just to say thanks for all the suggestions - I've had Discords, channels, sites and messages offering to help out so the community is awesome! I'll definitely be looking into the sherpa channel on the LFG Discord. Hopefully guided games can become useful to everyone at some point

    You can still get the emblem from corridors of time

    I just got it like 15 minutes ago, if you have the quest for rescuing saint. When you load in, open the map and click on the sundial area with Osiris and it will boot you from the mission, leaving you in the corridors of time. Only a week left

    Optimized Bounties for 3/2/2020

    Today's another bad day, unfortunately. No good Strike specific bounties, only one Sun Dial specific, and nothing that really rewards Scorn or Hive Strikes, the two we still need for our weeklies. So I have to recommend at least one Strike with almost no benefit but the Weekly bounty. Which I normally wouldn't do, but end of season, plus Bright Dust... it's worth the extra few minutes.

    Remember when Saint had like four Cabal bounties at once? Good times.


    Step 1 - Remember the good old days of, like, three weeks ago.

    Step 2 - Pick up the following Dailies! Weeklies can be found here.

    Tower Bounties:

    • Saint XIV – Fallen Down – Kill 50 Fallen
    • Zavala Daily – Horseshoes and Hand Grenades – 20 Grenade Kills
    • Zavala Daily – One Shot, One Kill – 25 Precision Kills
    • Shaxx Daily – Sparring Grounds – Complete 2 Crucible Matches
    • Shaxx Daily – Standard Fare – 5 Kinetic Kills in Crucible
    • Shaxx Daily – Knockout Round – 1 Melee Kill in Crucible
    • Shaxx Daily – Cast Early, Cast Often – Cast Super 7 Times in Mayhem

    Planetaries

    • Spider – Orbital Drop – Generate 10 Orbs of Light on the Tangled Shore
    • Eris Morn – Lunar Patrol – Complete 3 Patrols on the Moon
    • Eris Morn – Element of Surprise – 15 Energy Weapon Streak Kills
    • Eris Morn – Knock Down, Drag Out – 7 Finisher Kills on Fallen on the Moon
    • Sloane – Make it Rain – Generate 10 Orbs of Light on Titan
    • Sloane – Community Service – Complete 2 Public Events on Titan
    • Sloane – Crackshot – 10 Precision Kills on Titan

    Step 3 - Follow these steps (any order):

    1. Grab Spider's Daily – it doesn't give as much XP, but we're here anyway – and run The Hollowed Lair strike. I know, I know, it's a pain, but we've still got that 200 Scorn Weekly to clear. (15 minutes) This should get most of your grenade and precision kills as well.
    2. Fly to the Dreaming City and clear the Bay of Drowned Wishes Lost Sector to clear the rest of the Scorn you need. (5 minutes)
    3. Play one Mayhem match, and one match of your choice. (20 minutes)
    4. Fly TO THE MOOOOON, grab Eris's bounties, and run Patrols in either Anchor of Light or Archer's Line. Dealer's choice. (5-10 minutes)
    5. Fly to Titan, grab Sloane's bounties, and pick two Public Events. Usually they're pretty quick to rotate. (10 minutes) Prioritize Fallen ones if you can.
    6. If you still need a Hive Strike boss for your Zavala weekly, do that. (15 minutes)

    Total Non-Elemental Non-Weapon-Specific Bounties Cleared: 14 Dailies, 2 Weeklies

    Total Time: 55-75 minutes

    Rewards: - 84,000 XP (unmodified) - 12,000 XP per weekly (unmodified) - 150 Fractaline - 10 Vanguard Tokens, 2/8 Vanguard Weekly Challenge - 20 Crucible Tokens, 4/8 Crucible Weekly Challenge - 15 Helium Filaments - 15 Alkane Dust

    Extra Weapon/Elemental Bounties: I figured some people could use an extra XP boost in the final weeks of the season, so I'm going to start tossing in a few easy weapon/element specific bounties at the end here.

    • Zavala wants bows in Strikes and Void kills, and Banshee wants Bows and Solar Weapon Kills. Play your favorite Void subclass with The Vow, and that's four more bounties in your Strike.
    • Nessus is easy today if you run Arc.
    • Hand Cannon kills will get you Eris's fourth bounty. Use an Energy Hand Cannon to double up.

    One-button toggle on/off for Hunter hoods would be neat.

    Adding a toggle option while previewing Hunter cloaks that would do hood-up/helmet-on or hood-down/helmet-off would be nice.

    I like seeing my guardian's face, so I keep my game set to help off in not-combat zones. I think it's a good face and I think it helps with the power fantasy that I've built and my guardian. Navigating to a different menu to change the helmet setting isn't a big deal, but if I could toggle the hood/helmet in the cloak preview screen, that would be super convenient.

    I'm happy that we're able to see the entire Hunter cloak these days, since for a while that wasn't possible when previewing cloaks some time ago, and I think adding the toggle option would also be beneficial and appreciated.

    Nightmare Master Hunts timers should stop PRECISELY when the boss dies

    I just finished two attempts at the time trial for Omnigul and failed because it took over 20 seconds for the nightmare hunt to end.
