I hit 100k on my triumph score this morning. As a mostly solo/LFG player it was a tough climb. I finished it off with 100k on Exodus Crash (which was awful), two deathless gambit rounds, a lucky perfect gambit, and a nightmare hunt time trial to put me right on the nose. It was emblematic of the whole trip. Hard work, good teammates, some planning, and a little bit of luck.

I've lost 55lbs doing it. I ride my exercise bike while playing every morning (1 -1.5 hours every day). I started out at 215 back at D1 when I figured out I could play competently and ride at the same time. I've sweat through 4 controllers and two headsets along the way while burning 500-800 calories per session. I crossed the 160lbs mark about a month ago.

150k/150lbs is next on the list.

Reminder: High stat armor needs to be more common

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 07:59 AM PST

It sucks that the highest stat armor most people see is from the season pass. I am someone who raids weekly and even sometimes does t3 reckoning. The highest stat drop I've seen is 63. The season pass shouldn't be the place where you get the HIGHEST stat armor. It would be nice if seeing those from raids, reckoning and crucible level ups had much better odds of dropping 65+.

Since we are going back to Rasputin/Mars, maybe an update on some legacy content on mars? Such as sleeper node duplication protection?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 09:54 AM PST

Till this very day, the grind for getting all 40 sleeper nodes is absolutely awful. RNG is bad enough but when it comes to sleeper nodes, its off the charts. I know there are plenty of folks out there who are 35/40 or 38/40 and they know the grind sucks.

So my simple question is: Can we please have duplication protection? The rewards for doing sleeper nodes isn't anything game-breaking either. It's just old content that some of us completionist want to complete and get over with.

Edit:since some ppl hate the idea of bringing rng into our favor (crazy I know). Another idea is too maybe reduce the cost it takes to make one by half. So 2 instead of 4? Unless there might be some specific reason why it has to be 4.

Bungie, thank you for not getting rid of Saint-14 next season

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 10:25 AM PST

I was assuming Saint was going to leave the tower next season because of the entire "content leaving every season" but now we know he's not, he's staying as the ToO vendor! Thank you so much for keeping him, he's a really cool character to have in the Tower and it would have been really sad to see him go.

Since weapon retirement means bungie can break weapons a bit more, could we get a auto rifle with explosive payload?

I understand the irony of this statement, but...

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 10:51 AM PST

At this point, I would honestly much rather have new strikes, crucible maps and story missions every three months than a 6 person activity that just disappears.

I feel like this is one of the core issues that burns people out with the new season pass model. So many quest activities require us to go back into the extremely tired content in the strikes or crucible playlists we've been playing for years, which have had very few additions since launch.

I don't know how the community felt about them, but the re- skinned Y3 strikes in D1 really helped reinvigorate the experience for me, and i feel like something of that same nature would greatly help this game.

Those 2 new Shadowkeep strikes that come up in the playlist like once a week after 12 tree of possibilities strikes in a row just don't do enough to keep me interested in the base gameplay loop anymore.

    Recycle Inactive Clan Names

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 02:02 PM PST

Not top priority obviously, but just something that might be possible in a future update, recycle old clan names that are inactive for a couple years. Wanting to rename my clan, and seeing a bunch of great clan names that havent been active since late D1, early D2 days when people fully quit and never came back. Many have 1 in the clan, the Founder, with that person being inactive for over 2 years. Not sure how other people feel about this idea.

Things that the weapon lifespan changes will and will not affect.

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 02:26 PM PST

    Will affect:

    • Trials of Osiris
    • Iron Banner
    • New raids
    • "Endgame" content like the current 980 nightfalls/nightmare hunts.

    Will not affect:

    • PVP modes not mentioned above
    • Currently existing raids/raid lairs (Leviathan, Spire of Stars, Eater of Worlds, Last Wish, Scourge of the Past, Crown of Sorrows, and Garden of Salvation)
    • Anything that came out before Shadowkeep that is not Iron Banner
    • Currently existing dungeons (Shattered Throne, Pit of Heresy)
    • Exotic weapons (yet) They did say they would not change exotics "At this time" so we will have to wait and see.

This IS NOT meant to say "Oh it will not be that bad."

This IS meant to be informative on what will be affected by the changes.

This is based on the information we currently have; If anything changes, I will edit the list.

What all supers do to a Titan's Bubble (a handy guide for inevitable flag campers in Trials)

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 11:45 AM PST

Edited 3/2/2020 12:00 AM Pacific Standard Time. See edits at bottom of post

I was reminiscing about the return of my favorite PvP gamemode by watching some old 1v3 Trials on youtube and, during a particular game, a titan popped their bubble on the flag to win the round (in an admittedly cheesy way). I thought to myself... I wonder what can pop a titan bubble?

There's a few things we need to know before we start:
    - Killing the Titan that placed a bubble will remove the bubble.
    - Suppressing the Titan that placed a bubble will NOT remove the bubble.
    - The bubble gives the Titan an AoL (Armor of Light) overshield which is 400 extra HP of ~20% damage reduction. They'll have nearly 600 HP total instead of the normal ~200. They will DESTROY anyone who walks in there INCLUDING roaming supers with shotgun melee combo damage.

Here's all the anti-bubble info you'll ever need.

    Warlock
    Void
    - Top tree - The nova bomb will pop the bubble and the nova seekers will undoubtedly kill the Titan and any surrounding enemies. Charged Vortex/Scatter grenades do not pop the bubble nor do any notable damage to the Titan inside.
    - Mid tree - Neither a HHSN nor the nova warp will do any significant damage to the Titan or bubble (With the next update you're more likely to kill yourself with HHSN than you are to kill the Titan)
    - Bottom tree - The nova bomb will pop the bubble on impact and the DoT field left by the nova bomb will damage the Titan inside until he leaves the AoE field.
Interesting fact: Impacting the TOP of the bubble with the nova bomb will kill the Titan if he is anywhere inside the bubble. Impacting the side of the bubble that the Titan is also on will kill the Titan as well as popping the bubble.

    Arc
    - Top tree - If you zap a bubble for the entire duration of the super, you will be left with just enough to finish off the Titan once the bubble pops.
    - Mid tree - A full Chaos Reach will pop a bubble and will not do any residual damage to the Titan once the bubble pops. EDIT: [Geomag Stabilizers will return Chaos Reach energy by damaging the Bubble, leaving you able to kill the Titan after popping the bubble.]
    - Bottom tree - This super is useless against a bubble. Zapping the bubble for the entire super duration does not pop it. EDIT: [It takes 6 ticks to kill the Titan, 5 ticks if you deal Landfall damage to him. Landfall deals 1,001 damage to the bubble (As long as the Bubble is anywhere in range, it will take full damage) and will not pop by unloading the rest of the super into the Bubble. Crown of Tempests does not change this.]

    Solar
    - Top tree - Entirely useless against a bubble.
    - Mid tree - This super is largely useless. EDIT: [Well gives a ~100 HP shield and around ~15% damage resistance. This absolutely pails in comparison to the AoL shield the bubble gives. A well cannot compete.]
Fun fact: the warlock sword that generates the well can be broken to remove the well.
    - Bottom tree - Will pop the bubble if the entire super is used at max RoF and every slash hits the bubble directly. No super energy will be left over and no residual damage will be inflicted to the Titan once the bubble is popped. EDIT: [Using the dive to enter the bubble does ~160 damage, resulting in needing 2 more light attacks to kill the Titan. This is disorienting enough to just maybe work.]

    Hunter
    Void
    - Top tree - The tether will not pop nor weaken the bubble if it lands outside the bubble. It will weaken the Titan if it lands in the bubble but can easily be killed by 1-2 shotgun shots from the Titan with WoL (Weapons of Light)
    - Mid tree - 3 Light attacks or 2 Heavy attacks (1 Heavy 2 Light) will kill the Titan. Good luck landing those hits in succession as hitting swinging hunter supers seems to be very inconsistent at close range.
    - Bottom tree - Unloading all quiver shots into the bubble will not pop it. Shooting two inside the bubble (provided the second HITS the Titan) will kill the Titan.

    Arc
Light Light Heavy combo attacks from all three subclass trees will oneshot the Titan. I recommend prepping the first two light attacks outside of the bubble then using the heavy attack to hit the Titan in the bubble. It will kill them.
    - Top tree - Nothing particularly significant about the top subclass tree for countering bubbles. EDIT: [Using Liar's Handshake w/o Combination Blow will take 2 normal melees, 2 cross counter melees. With Combination Blow x3 it takes 1 normal melee, 1 cross counter melee to kill the Titan.]
    - Mid tree - Blocking with this super will stop the Titan from damaging you and can be a nice distraction for teammates. Not effective against a bubble otherwise.
    - Bottom tree - Nothing particularly significant about the bottom subclass tree for countering bubbles.

    Solar
    - Top tree - Using all six shots from the Golden Gun will pop the bubble. Shots will not penetrate and no residual damage will be inflicted to the Titan once the bubble is popped. It takes three direct hits with the Golden Gun to kill the Titan inside their bubble.
    - Mid tree - The full blade barrage will pop the bubble. EDIT: [If you, as the hunter, slide to enter the bubble, activate super just after entering the bubble, and aim straight down you will glide through the bubble, killing the Titan and inconsistently surviving afterwards. If you use your double jump right out of the super animation, your chance to live increases a bunch.]
    - Bottom tree - Using all three shots from the Golden Gun will pop the bubble. Shots will not penetrate and no residual damage will be inflicted to the Titan once the bubble is popped. It takes two direct hits with the Golden Gun to kill the Titan inside their bubble (regardless of crits/body shots)
Nighthawk: Both top and bottom tree will pop the bubble in one shot and will NOT kill the Titan with overpenetration. Tested multiple times aiming both at the Titan's head and body. One shot from each Golden Gun directly to the Titan will kill them.

    Titan
    Void
    - Top tree - The fiend we are trying to conquer. Not particularly useful against a bubble itself. The shoulder charge takes off ~1/2 of the Titan's AoL overshield. EDIT: [Light attacking with super can push Titan out of the bubble. This will remove the AoL overshield unless wearing Helm of S14.]
    - Mid tree - This one is pretty interesting. Blocking with Sentinel active will create a MASSIVE wall that does significant DoT to anything inside its radius... including bubble. When I say this thing shreds... I MEAN it. The bubble will pop in ~2 seconds AND kill the Titan inside.
    - Bottom tree - Bottom tree is essentially the same anti-bubble power as top tree. Low. Nothing spectacular here. EDIT: [Light attacking with super can push Titan out of the bubble. This will remove the AoL overshield unless wearing Helm of S14.]
Peregrine Greaves: Will not kill the Titan. Deals ~550 damage leaving the Titan with ~1/2 red bar.

    Arc
    - Top tree - When casting the super from high enough up the bubble and Titan will be oneshot. The height requirement is ~2 player heights into the air when casting the super to eliminate bubble/Titan.Peregrine Greaves: Will not kill the Titan. Deals ~550 damage leaving the Titan with ~1/2 red bar.
    - Mid tree - Will pop bubble and kill Titan if landing inside. The ballistic slam does ~1/2 the AoL overshield.
    - Bottom tree - Can kill Titan in 2 heavy attacks or 3 light attacks. Hard to hit light attacks due to the nature of dashing super attacks being buggy with hit registration to nearby targets.

    Solar
    - Top tree - Shoulder charge takes off full AoL overshield. Super is relatively useless. Takes EDIT: [2] hammers to kill the Titan.
Peregrine Greaves: Will kill the Titan. Deals ~900 damage leaving the Titan a solar smear on the ground.
    - Mid tree - Burning Maul will pop the bubble with enough super left to slam one more time. It is likely to kill the Titan with residual damage once the bubble is popped. EDIT: [Light attacking is very jenky on this subclass, however, only takes 2 consecutive light attacks to kill the Titan. You do this by light attacking once then spinning your camera 180 and light attacking again. This will keep your Maul on top of the Titan for both light attacks, killing them.]
    - Bottom tree - If the super is used with sunwarrior active the entire time, you'll have enough super energy left over to throw 2 more hammers. EDIT: [Takes 3 hammers to kill Titan if thrown inside the bubble.]

TL;DR: Here's a list of things that can pop a bubble/kill a Titan in his bubble.Roaming supers are quite ineffective due to taking 4-5 ticks of the super to kill the 600 HP Titan. You are also likely to be shotgun melee'd while trying. Roaming = Probably No

Solar Melee w/ Peregrine Greaves No N/A Yes, EDIT: [Deals ~900 damage leaving the Titan absolutely obliterated]
Solar Mid Yes; if Heavy attacking at max RoF Yes; enough super energy to heavy attack one more time after bubble pop EDIT: [Yes; two light attacks. Hit them consecutively by aiming at the Titan, light attacking, turning 180 degrees and light attacking again. Very potent compared to other roaming supers]
Solar Bottom Yes; if in sunwarrior the entire super Yes; enough super energy to throw two hammers after bubble pop Roaming

This is the first in the series of a couple data compilations I hope to complete. With Trials coming, I hope to find information on a bunch of unique circumstances so that, if faced with a niche situation on your flawless game, you know what you can do to secure the victory and take your team to the lighthouse.

Are there any niche situations like this that you'd like tested? Anything I missed in this post?

    List of EDITs:
    Warlock
    - Crown of Tempests does not change top/bottom tree arc super.
    - Geomag Stabilizers will allow you to pop the bubble and kill the Titan afterwards with Chaos Reach
    - Landfall will deal a flat amount of damage to the bubble as long as it hits it. This barely effects TTK for this super. It's pretty poo either way.
    - Well gives ~100 HP overshield and ~15% damage reduction... which is pathetic in comparison the AoL overshield. Well cannot compete.
    - Using bottom tree dive + 2 light attacks is pretty quick and hard to keep track of. Best option for Warlock roaming supers.

    Hunter
    - Liar's Handshake with Combination Blow x0 takes 2 normal melees and 2 Cross Counter melees to kill, Combination Blow x3 takes 1 normal melee and 1 Cross Counter melee to kill.
    - There's a small setup you can do with Blade Barrage to relatively consistently kill the Titan inside their bubble by casting the Barrage INSIDE the bubble. Slide across the event horizon of the bubble, activate super as soon as you enter the bubble, aim straight at the floor, then jump as fast as possible once out of super animation. I found this kept me alive pretty frequently and killed the Titan every time.

    Titan
    - Changed Shield Bash to be attached to bottom tree, as it is in-game.
    - Both Peregrine Greaves Shoulder Charge and Shield Bash do ~550 damage, leaving the Titan with 1/2 red bar, while the Peregrine Hammer Strike does ~900 damage, leaving the Titan a sizzling solar smear on the floor.
    - Burning Maul light attack is INCREDIBLY potent in comparison to other roaming supers. Landing two consecutive light attacks will kill the Titan in their bubble. Do this by light attacking, swinging your camera 180 degrees around, and light attacking again. This'll magnetize you to the bubble Titan, killing them VERY fast.

NOTE: Evidently Fallout Plays made a video on this subject on the release of Shadowkeep. I didn't know this, and I hope this list provides a more concise place to view the information or that I was, in some way, able to participate to the subject.

I expect that next TWAB will be the rundown on all the non-Trials related content coming in next season, but for now it's neat not really knowing what next season will bring. Hopefully Bungie learned from the Bastion snafu and will leave some things secret.

Can the exotic armour in collections get a slightly higher stat point average? We don’t necessarily need god rolls in the high 60s, but 47 points on a piece of gear is pretty disappointing.

Exotics are so rare to begin with, on top of that they need to have the specific stat roll you're going for.

Celestial Fire doesn’t activate Trench Barrel and other perks of the like.

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 11:30 AM PST

It's pretty frustrating because even at typical melee range I have to use it twice in order to get the effect. Once to use up Celestial Fire and another to activate trench barrel. Combine that with slow melee cool down and it gets pretty aggravating.

Keep in mind I'm not asking for Celestial Fire to activate them at any range, but I'd at least like to see it activate perks from immediate range. (Let's not even get into the Saint-XIV solar melee bounty)

All in all if someone could shed some light on why it's happening, if it's supposed to be this way, and why it has yet to be fixed/altered it would be greatly appreciated!

New Light players may now know that they can't get certain exotics without DLC because the info is only available in the weekend, hidden behind Xur's fated engram

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 06:58 AM PST

If you go to the collection tab, it didn't say which exotic armor need which DLC. But if you go to xur in the weekend, then inspect the fated engram, it will give DLC requirement info.

Because how hidden xur is, and only in weekend, and you need to manually inspect the fated engram. This DLC requirement info may not get properly conveyed to new light player.

This also affect old players that play Destiny 2 in multiple platforms and forgot which exotics need which DLC, and assuming by keep playing, they will get the exotic to drop thru random world drop.

Update: The fated engram from Season Rank also requires DLC. Thanks /u/GamingFroU

Strikes need more content to them, they are a major part of the game that is heavily neglected.

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 09:24 PM PST

D1 nearly was perfect when it came to strikes. If you mixed that system with the ordeal system it WOULD be perfect in my opinion.

Each strike needs a new desirsble weapon added to it

strikes need to have an armour set scattered across Them for each class

we need skeleton keys and skeleton keys chests in each strike to always get a hefty chance at a strikes desirable weapon, you could make keys buyable OR farmable from high tier ordeals. ( ONTOP OF them being able to randomly drop off a boss kill. )

The 4 new strikes need emblems, triumphs and to be caught up on loot.

And well, strikes having new difficulties and high exotic items/shard drop rates is cool and all, but we need more than JUST that as content to chase. It is my belief that happy players are more inclined to spend money in the ever verse.

" Buy items with money yessssss? Or, you dieeee." - variks to guardians, probably.

It's an easy way to add long time content to the game, that would satisfy a large portion of the community and have people desire new weapons and rolls. This isn't even touching on the fact that we need new perks and old perks to return. ( looking at you Third Eye. )

Thank you for reading, have a good night guardians.

Why have we strayed away from the open world portion of the game?

The vast, open worlds of Io and Nessus, along with the majority of open planets feel like they're only used for getting your account from 750 to 900 power and quests. There's almost no reason to be free roaming on any of the planets like Io or Nessus.

As a Y1 player who came back in the month leading up to shadowkeep, I was capped at lvl 20 due to the Bungie store not selling the game. I was so confused and intrigued when I came up against the forge saboteur in the EDZ, 200 light above me. It made it a challenge to cross the bridge toward Niobe, and I thought it was so cool.

Of course this is extreme, but to a lesser extent, just having ads be challenging in the open world, or even your effective power cap to be equivalent to the enemy power rather than capped to 50 power above (Your take less damage and do more damage until 50 light above the enemy, if you take a look at GoS this is true where the final encounter is set to 940 power and you will experience a damage and damage resistance increase until 990), will add an engaging aspect to traversing the world rather than it being a trivial "ignore every enemy until you get to the next checkpoint" situation.

Similarly, right now for the past two seasons have made each planet more and more useless feeling, even with the new season of dawn, there is no reason to visit the mercury open area except when you are forced to a quest, people just travel directly to the sundial and even Osiris, a VENDOR is instanced by himself rather than in the open area.

TL;DR: I think future changes to destiny should focus more on the open world, rather than new privately instanced areas that feel like the new core of the game.
