Since the game still won’t let me make Dawning treats for Rasputin, I made some IRL instead. Behold: Chocolate Truffle Warsats!

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 10:19 AM PST

Despite letting us bake for Ana Bray and adding recipes for Vance, Calus, and Riven, Destiny has once again neglected to let us make seasonal desserts for the Warmind himself. I know he can't eat whatever we bring him, but I just want him to feel included. So this year I took matters into my own hands and made Rasputin a batch of Chocolate Truffle Warsats!

I have no prior knowledge of candy/chocolate-making, so I did a lot of googling and winged it. What could possibly go wrong? Turns out: several things, but I did it anyway! The phrase "chocolate truffle warsats" popped fully-formed into my head, so the question was how to turn it into an actual foodstuff. I decided I wanted to do an orange-filled chocolate with little sugar antennas. I knew I wanted an orange filling because a) it represents the orange Seraph energy inside the warsats and b) I love orange chocolate. First I thought of using a dodecahedral mold, but while I could find some online, it would take time for them to ship and I was impatient. So I found a professional cake & candy supply store near me, went over to check out the molds and decorations, and found one for soccer balls. The hemispherical shapes looked like the crashed warsats from public events and I thought "that way if/when the chocolates get a little messed-up it'll just look more accurate." I decided to make a couple of full warsats by sticking together two hemispheres as well as one "crashed" warsat to pose in a little Mars scene.

I made some white chocolate ganache and mixed in orange extract for flavor, then added orange food coloring and edible glitter for extra sparkle. It worked out for this project but if I make these again I think I'll try something else since it tasted like creamsicles and I wanted more of an actual orange. I tried to temper chocolate mostly out of curiosity and failed, so I switched to using the special compound chocolate that mimics tempered chocolate. It ended up not mattering since I covered it in royal icing anyway but I figured a nice crackly coat of chocolate would snap more like the metal warsat plates. I made the truffles by pouring in a little chocolate to coat the surface of the molds, then adding a sprinkling of edible gold crystals to line the inside, then putting in a ball of orange chocolate ganache. Then I filled the rest of the mold with more chocolate and let them set in the freezer.

Next problem was how to do the antennas. A couple weeks earlier I'd made royal icing for holiday cookie decorating and the stuff sets like concrete so I decided to try making shapes from that. I piped out some antenna shapes on a piece of waxed paper and let them dry, then peeled them off and stuck them on with a dot of icing. I'd also been trying a few different ways to highlight the texture on the chocolate to get that plated warsat look and decided to try the royal icing. I haven't seen it used on chocolate but it stuck so hey, figured it was worth a shot. It ended up looking pretty good since royal icing gives you that smooth glassy look so I went with it. I first used a stiff batch of icing to outline a polyhedral shape over the chocolate surface and then used a more fluid, darker grey batch to fill in the plates. It took ages to dry completely but I think the end result was worth it.

Happy Dawning, Rasputin! You're not alone anymore...whether you like it or not.

In a pre-shadowkeep interview, Luke Smith stated that "it's easier to make the numbers work when you're independent". Yet, Y3 EV is worse than Y2 or Y1. What gives?

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 04:53 AM PST

Source for the quote btw. (Happens at about 21:10) Full Article: Destiny 2's next year will depend on how players like this one

    full quote:

Jason Shreier, "Yeah is it fair to say that you guys, now that you're self publishing and no longer have to be beholden to your [partners], Is it fair to say that you're happier with lower profit margins, lower playerbases than you might've been a year ago?"

Luke Smith, "We're gonna be happy when we get to keep makin' the thing. y'know, we look at our team and we have a real responsibility to make something that's awesome for our fans that allows our team to keep doing it. And, without thinking too much about the profit margins and the numbers, it's certainly easier to make work when you're self publishing; and that aligns really good with like "hey, lets focus on the people who love this game, and y'know, our core players are our advocates, so lets build something awesome for them. Something we're all gonna love, and make it easier to recommend the game to their friends," that's the whole point of what we're trying to do, [...]".

There's more, but it's not quite relevant to the above quote.

Dispelling the notion that Bungie isn't making money

-Bungie made the steam top selling list, as did R6S, CSGO, DOTA2, Warframe, Sekiro, GTAV, PUBG, MH-W and more. Not only did Bungie make this list, it put itself on it in three months, when most of these games have been on here years

Here's the list, but it's not in any particular order. (It seems to change every click)

Some estimated revenues for these games. (Numbers are not likely to be accurate, but they DO give us the ballpark we're playing it. It's huge, btw)

CSGO: approximately $414 million in 2018, and rising higher and sharper with each passing year.

R6 Siege: approximately 440 million in 2018, and climbing every year

PUGB: approximately $1.028 Billion in 2018.

    MH-W: approximately $467 million in 2018.

    _____________________

So what do Bungie's prospects look like?

The 3rd best selling game of 2017

Activision received $370 Million from Destiny in 2018

at roughly the time of the split, and before the announcement that they'd move to steam, Activision was expected to lose anywhere from $300-$374 Million in 2019 by dropping Destiny in 2019.

Activision is expected to miss out in$496 Million from Destiny in 2020

    ______________________

Under Activision, Bungie earned about 20-35% of the total revenue of the Destiny franchise depending on the revenue generated. So, if the 370 Million number for Activison's 2018 earnings is correct, that means Bungie earned around $74M-$130M in revenue in 2018. I couldn't find a good post-SK number for 2019, but thanks to the steam list, we have a good idea of the money gained; a ballpark figure of around $400 Million.

Eververse was originally introduced to make Activision more accepting that D2 wouldn't be coming out in 2016, hoping to make up some lost revenue.

So while these numbers likely are not exact or completely accurate (aside from Bungie's/Activison's split of the cash), they do give us a useful ballpark to see where Destiny's money-making ability lands. In other words, Bungie is probably making a shitload of money from Destiny 2, and several times more than they used to when they were with Activision.

On top of this, up until Season of Dawn, Destiny 2 was hovering between the 3rd and 4th most played game on Steam every day. Typically hitting anywhere from 150k-200k until around November, where the numbers hover more around 130k. Destiny 2 is one of steam's most played games of 2019, and the largest the playerbase has been since launch. Not only is Destiny 2 purchased a lot, it's played a lot! Yet, the game's content has received less rewards than ever before.

These number's don't say anything about profit, but they are far far greater than Bungie was making with Activision. If they aren't profiting, something's up.

Dispelling the notion that EV is currently funding content for the game.

During year 1, the game received a plethora of free content.

-Iron Banner always had new armor and guns

    -Trials always had new armor

-Factions actually existed, and received new armor

-In Season 2, (Curse of Osiris), the game received a bunch of cosmetics AND gameplay items for FREE, in the form of nightfall rewards. On top of this, the Contender's Shell came out, which occasionally dropped bright engrams (Lootboxes) after raid encounters.

-In Season 3, this continued. Factions each had their own exotic ornament tied to them, as well as Zavala's own exotic ship available from rank-ups.

-Lootboxes still dismantled into bright dust, the prismatic matrix was introduced, and all EV items were obtainable just by playing.

-Spire of Stars contained not one, but TWO emotes. One was luxurious toast, the other a "pass the ball" emote.

-S3 also saw the whisper mission, which had it's own ship introduced from a puzzle. It was later revealed in the director's cut that Whisper had roughly fully funded Zero Hour on its own, at a time when the playerbase was rather weak. a Handful of free new maps were also introduced.

-the Mars open world also had its own exotic sparrow for finding all of one of Mars's collectible, and the Moments of Triumph contained an exclusive exotic ship.

-In both S2 and S3, Crucible and Vanguard received new armor ornaments, S2 being mostly reskinned while S3 being the most extensive model changes.

    ____________________________

-In season 4, Crucible received a new armor set, and a new Vendor (the drifter) was introduced. Vanguard received an old world drop touch up for new armor. Two new guns (might've been 3?) were given to Zav/Shaxx. Four new pvp maps were introduced

-There were a handful of cosmetics that were introduced, but all but the Taken Sparrow were legendary model touch ups or D1 imports. Two of the armor sets introduced in Forsaken were D1 imports with minor detail changes.

-Iron banner received new guns and armor, but Trials and Factions were nowhere to be found, to this day.

-In S4, EV grew greatly. Legendary weapon ornaments were introduced, as well as ghost projections. New emotes, ships, ghosts, and sparrows were all more detailed and intricate than ever before.

-S5, Black Armory, saw the removal of Seasonal Vendor Refreshes, as well as the removal of the prismatic matrix. However, IB still saw new armor, and there were SEVERAL exotic cosmetics to be earned in game.

-In S6, we'd received our first real batch of "Silver only" items. earned exotic cosmetics were nowhere to be found.

-In S7, this trend continued. no new IB armor or guns, all of menagerie was touched-up old items, some from D1. The raid weapons were reskins. Earned cosmetics were legendary reskins/touchups. Not only was the EV stocked full, it had DOUBLE the unique exotic items that S6 had, and EV was basically the only source of new items in the game.

-event and seasonal bright engrams with new items no longer existed in S7

    __________________________

-In S8, bright dust was moved to single-time bounties, with the repeatable bounties offering a minuscule quantity of dust to be ineffectual.

-Raid armor was reskininned and tocuhed up S2 eververse armor

-For the first time in a major, yearly Destiny release, Vendors were not refreshed

    -World loot was not updated.

-bright engrams continued to not drop new items, and items you did get didn't turn into dust

-The season pass was introduced as another monetization path for Bungie. while technically "earnable" it's an extension of the EV in that the items in it can be acquired through silver purchases of a level. This is why they've put actual new and cool items in it, because they still have a chance to make an extra buck off of it.

-No new iron banner guns, Trials and Factions still entirely missing. one single new map for pvp.

-In S8, it appeared that all of the items that were meant to be achievement based items were not in fact in the game, but had been put into the Eververse store. This was technically untrue, but still fits the complaints since launch (thread not actually since launch but summarizes it best) that game-relevant items being in the EV only and not the game fucking sucks. This is something that Bungie has not only understood in the previous years and seasons of D2 quite well, but also in their previous online games, not just Destiny 1. See Halo Reach's original unlock system, and Spartan customization as a whole. Looks matter, and Bungie knows it - especially in a game about loot.

-the prices for EV cosmetics are through the roof, typically being more than the season itself.

-BOTH NEW STRIKES DON'T EVEN HAVE EMBLEMS, LET ALONE UNIQUE LOOT

-In S9, there is a single new armor set in the game. Iron Banner S1 has been reused again. a single old pvp map reintroduced. there's rumblings of trials being worked on, but factions are still completely missing.

-EV is slightly better. a measly 80% (up from 50% in SK) of items will be available for bright dust, compared to the 99-100% we could get from dust or engrams just months ago.

-For every new exotic released since SK, an ornament for it was immediately available for silver only, with an EV splash page asking you to buy the ornament, often before you've even started the quest.

    _________________________

-In year one, for all its faults, EV seemed to actually fund stuff. There was new vendor gear each season, handfuls of new weapons were added to the world loot pool, and all EV items were earnable!

-In year 2, EV grew, and the game was cut back a bit. It still brought in new stuff for IB, vendors were refreshed once in Forsaken, but as the seasons went on content soured, and EV grew.

-In Y3, EV is bloated. new item releases are minimal, while Macro-transactions are new every month. In S9, the game had a single new armor set introduced for each class, while the eververse contained 2, maybe 3 depending on if you count the season pass as EV, but it's certainly not pure gameplay.

In short, Eververse no longer funds new free content. It did in Y1, and somewhat less so in Y2, but absolutely doesn't in Y3.

    Does it fund updates?

-In Y1, we had full month-by-months roadmaps of where the game was going, with each month having a list of features for the future that Bungie was hoping to complete and ship. This is no longer the case, with roadmaps being for when we're finally no longer gated out of content, rather than new features.

-In Y2, we didn't get regular gameplay updates like we did in Y1. We did get balancing every 3-4 months

-In Y3, we've gotten balancing every 3 months, just like Y2. Armor 2.0 was introduced, as well as finishers (more EV cash) and a nightfalls update that didn't even update old nightfall loot into random rolls. I'd also argue that Gameplay updates like A2.0 were included regardless of EV. Even in D1 gameplay updates were brought in through the expansions before the EV even existed.

-To this day, bungie still takes an inordinate amount of time to do even minor tweaks and touches.

Dispelling the notion that Destiny 2 is free to play

We still pay for new content. Seasons and Expansions, are all paid. Destiny 2 is free to TRY, but if you want to actual new and fun and relevant stuff, fork it over.

    In closing/TL:DR

Bungie is making more money as an independent studio than they've ever been with Destiny. If EV had stayed the same, they'd still be making 3-4x the amount of money they used to simply because they're independent now. Yet, EV is in my opinion the worst it's been over the years, with new loot being a small pile while EV sits on a mountain of items, being updated several times per season while the actual game struggles to be updated ONCE per season. Bungie is putting the bare minimum into the actual game, while their storefront takes all priorities. Cosmetics are part of the loot game too, just like guns, yet even so much as armor ornaments without a silver string attached are nowhere to be found. By Luke Smith's own admission, it's easier to make the numbers work when you're independent. It clearly doesn't need to be this way.

Eververse is genuinely eating away at the resources for a very core part of Destiny - its items. Filling content with worthwhile rewards, especially at the top prestigious end, is being denied and consumed for more macrotransactions. So, what gives Bungie? Are you actually building a game we all enjoy and want, or a storefront with a game attached to it?

Other fun, useful, and somewhat relevant threads on the state of EV and how it feels to play with throughout D2's life and recency:

'Curse Of Osiris:' Eververse And Bright Engrams Feel Like They're Slowly Breaking 'Destiny 2'

Bungie (Luke Smith) :"We need to make strikes more rewarding!". Also Bungie :"Let's give the 3 new nightfalls no nightfall specific loot"

As a day 1 player, I have spent about 160 bucks for this game and almost all its dlc. Having to pay upwards of 10 bucks for the coolest cosmetic items (which I can't earn through gameplay) doesn't give me the feeling that my money was well spent.

Very simply, Bungie: buying gear will never — ever, ever, ever — feel as good as earning gear. Putting so much in Eververse is making your game feel worse.

So iron banner gets an armour set recycled for the 2nd time, shaxx and zavala will be dropping the same thing for the last 15 months now but Eververse will be fully stocked for the season, the dawning and crimson days. This is beyond absurd

    Eververse is broken.

There's 11 new exotic sparrows and ships this season, not a single one is earned, they're all from eververse

The Seasonal Engrams are Worthless to Those who have Supported the Game Since Launch

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 09:46 AM PST

As you can see I just can't wait to open all my seasonal engrams /s .

Even the bright dust isn't much of an incentive as most of us who have been around have plenty of it. I just never opened them until I realized all my characters were full. At this point they are most likely dups so I'm not missing much.

Maybe Bungie is smart to cater to newer and new light players who haven't been opening engrams for the past 2+ years because chances are the veterans aren't going anywhere. Every engram must be pure gold to them. For others there is very little to look forward to with the seasonal engrams.

Edit: I just opened all 24. All dupes.

I would love to see a season that just focuses on improving the content we already have.

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 01:40 PM PST

The following I would like to see in the Season of Improving:

    1. Add more loot to menagerie and add one or two encounters. Make heroic 950/980
    2. Give all strikes specific loot with skeleton keys. Would also like to see some strikes evolve based on what's happening currently in the world with new stuff thrown at us.
    3. Have a weekly pinnacle raid (Like Age of Triumph back in D1)
    4. Valor rest giving enhancement cores and pinnacle gear. Giving the option for the comp playlist to drop adept crucible weapons (ex. weapons that Shaxx sells but with an extra perk or trait).
    5. Have Iron Banner reworked. I really liked the way it was handled in D1 with rank ups.
    6. Bring back factions but with the way they were back in D1 when they were permanent.
    7. Rework flashpoints. Maybe the flashpoint planets have a 950/980 version of patrol where you could launch 6 players fireteams. Enough Public event completions would grant pinnacle drop.
    8. Have a weekly Pinnacle "Event". Weekly rotation through escalation protocol, blind well, and altar of sorrow that can be launched as 950/980. Grind pinnacle drop with last wave completion with more weapon choices.

Edit 1: Added Season of Improving

I'll add more to the list based off feedback in the comments.

Don't Sleep on "Heat Rises," it's basically Invis for Warlocks

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 04:16 PM PST

As part of farming grenade and Taken kills to feed my hungry dragoness gf, I've been playing a lot of Top Tree Dawnblade. As part of that, I've been experimenting with Heat Rises.

For those of you who don't know what it does, I'll educate you: consume your grenade for 10 seconds of Heat Rises, which gives you a much longer glide and improves your in-air accuracy. Airborne kills extend the timer, capping at 30 seconds.

From that, it sounds mediocre, right? Why bother?

I don't know why, but activating it seems to bug out enemies a ton.

It seems like your "aggro" drops to the floor in certain cases, allowing you to walk past stuff like the Headless Goblins in the tunnels of Insight Terminus undetected as long as you have it up. On top of that, it seems like most enemies won't attack you about 95% of the time, with the other 5% being the game realizing something's afoot, you being too close to a boss and them using their pushback mechanic, or seemingly shooting.

Using Mountaintop, it seemed like enemies would only realize where I was upon shooting at them, and fire back a shot or two where I fired from regardless or not if I was still there. That said, using abilities such as melees or grenades didn't seem to break this stealth and I was free to shoot bolts of fire and lob grenades.

How to exploit this? Sunbracers. It's been relegated to a niche Exotic for the longest time, but with Heat Rises, it's actually great now, thanks to the new changes Top Tree Dawnblade got. Getting airborne kills also charges your melee. What can you do with a melee that's always up? Why, trigger Sunbracers of course, and from a distance, too! Your melee isn't the strongest thing in the world, but it can pretty reliably kill a chunk of things from full (even more things if Brawler or Solar Singe are modifiers). With a melee kill, you have 4 seconds of charge. If you throw a Solar Grenade (the miniature sun one, not the sticky or the arcing bolt ones) in that time, you have 4 seconds of unlimited grenade energy, which translates to about 5 free grenades plus a final charge to top you off as it finishes. And with those grenades, provided you put them in a good choke point or a cluster of enemies and were floating around as you lobbed them, you can easily fill up your melee once again plus lengthen your Heat Rises. Didn't get enough kills? That's fine, use Mountaintop or something and kill like 3 things while bunnyhopping to refuel, and use your recharged grenade to restart Heat Rises.

If you're playing in a Strike or something, you're almost guaranteed to not be targeted, as the other two people are going to be generating much more "threat" than you are.

So what do we have? A 3 second preparation for 10 seconds of faux invisibility that can be permanently extended with a buffer of 30 seconds, during which you can kill with almost no repercussions.

If you want to test it for yourself, load up Whisper and test it on the Shadow Thrall. They're coded to always rush you no matter where you are, but if you have Heat Rises active, they'll kinda just congregate around you. Maybe one will slash at you. I'm pretty sure this is a bug based on the game considering you as a vehicle if you're in Heat Rises (which can be confirmed if you test in PvP, you show up as a vehicle on radar) and enemies not knowing what to do to airborne vehicles (or sometimes, vehicles in general; Thrall vs Pikes are one example).

TL;DR Heat Rises makes you fake invisible to most AI, can be exploited with Sunbracers for shenanigans

My take on Savathun and Quria: Splash sketch & Character Design

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 01:46 AM PST

This was done as an attempt to break my month-long art block. Basically it's done by studying all the existing Wizard designs and anatomy on their morphs, some thorough reading on existed lores plus my own creative liberty.

    Splash sketch: https://imgur.com/MuQRLQX

    Character design: https://imgur.com/56rE6XP

I have envisioned Savathun to have a black hole as her "crown jewel", and grafted/melded the bones, skulls, and feathers of various unnamed Ahamkaras, most of which she has won her bargain against, with her carapaces. Because Savathun is a Mother Morph, I've envisioned her lower half to be a wider/rounder abdomen like In Anânh the Brood Queen. Her twisted horn is a homage to Oryx's design, which the two of them had similar cranial carapaces as juveniles, yet to symbolize Savathun as the master of cunningness, her horns are twisted.

For Quria, as we know she is a Precursor Vex, I mixed the Precursor Hydra's vertical slit "eye" with 4 extra round, flaming eyes which are commonly found on Taken Hydra designs.

I hope these designs may be appreciated, and any feedbacks are dearly welcomed!

Edit: OMG AN AWARD! It's the first time I have received one and I am so honored. Thank you so much! 😭❤️

Edit2: ANOTHER AWARD!? Oh my, I am truly speechless. Thank you all so so much for liking my artwork & concept!

Edit3: Wow I truly was only crossing fingers and hoping people wouldn't be offended or feel negative about my concepts as I uploaded these pics. I didn't expect to get so overwhelmed by positive and constructive (plus hilarious) comments and even receiving now a MULTITUDE of awards! I thank you all for your kind heart and sharing your great ideas!

Edit: it's quite clear due to my dislike of playing Gambit that I'm clueless to Wishenders ability to do massive Boss damage.

I get why many of the community see it as broken , while those like me that stay out of Gambit generally see it as being in a good place, and now worthy of taking an Exotic slot for general PvE.

Let us patrol the Last City's wall.

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 07:56 PM PST

I've always wanted to do this, ever since Destiny 1. We're Guardians, right? I want the game to convey that theme better. Supposedly we are protecting the city with everything we do, but I never get that feeling. It's more like we are just adventurers and mercenaries a la DnD. I think it would solidify the player's position as a true Guardian if we were down, close to the people, where we can see the place we protect right in front of us. Public events could involve things like escorting convoys to the front gate and defending the cracks in the wall from Fallen scavengers while repair crews scramble to fix them.

Also, it would be cool to explore more places on Earth in general. I don't think we've had a chance to patrol anywhere in the US yet, so how about Las Vegas?

    Optimized Bounties For 1/13/2020

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 10:17 AM PST

    Now with 100% more flair!

Deer Trivia: In 1973, researchers at the University of Colorado taught six deer to communicate basic phrases in Morse Code.

    And now, bounties!

    Step 1 - Give Eva a hug. She's leaving tomorrow. :(

Step 2 - Grab the following bounties. Grab Spider's last, so we start from there.

    • Saint XIV - No Challenge Too Great - Kill 25 Challenging Enemies
    • Saint XIV - One Shot - Kill 25 Cabal With Precision Damage
    • Eva - Big Finish - Kill 5 Enemies With Finishers
    • Eva - Light It Up - Generate 20 Orbs of Light
    • Eva - Joyful Precision - Kill 50 Enemies With Precision Kills
    • Zavala - One Shot, One Kill - Kill 25 Enemies With Precision Damage
    • Zavala - The Harder They Fall - Kill 10 Challenging Enemies in Strikes
    • Zavala - Vanguardian - Kill 50 Enemies in Strikes
    • Shaxx - By the Code - Defeat 10 Opponents
    • Shaxx - Lightbearer - Defeat 3 Opponents With Abilities
    • Shaxx - Into the Light - Defeat 1 Opponent With Super
    • Spider - The Great Equalizer - Kill 35 Fallen in Thieves Landing
    • Spider - Sharpshooter - 25 Precision Kills on Tangled Shore
    • Spider - Orbital Drop - Generate 10 Orbs on Tangled Shore
    • Spider - Lost in the Gulch - Clear Trapper's Cave Lost Sector

Step 3 - Follow these steps:

    1. On the Tangled Shore, look for the Public Event in Thieves Landing. As long as you can make it Heroic before some doofus melts the boss, you should clear Spider's first three bounties from the PE alone. If the PE isn't up yet, go clear the Trapper's Cave Lost Sector. If you need to kill 2-3 minutes before the PE starts, grab the "Kill Anything" patrol. This will clear all of Spider's bounties, make solid progress on your precision kills/orbs bounties, and give Lost Sector/Patrol progress for your Obelisk Weeklies (10-15 minutes).

    2. Run a 920 Ordeal in the Insight Terminus for all Cabal bounties, Strike bounties, and more progress on orbs/precision kills (15 minutes).

    3. Play one Crucible match (10 minutes).

    4. Complete as many Cookie Delivery bounties as you can without going insane. While I try to organize these to reduce grind as much as possible, today is the last day of the Dawning, so if you're sitting on an excess of Essence, now is the time to use it. If you don't feel like completing dozens/hundreds Cookie Delivery bounties, you can still get some XP out of them by baking as many cookies as possible and dumping them on a vendor. You should get a Dawning Package roughly once every 5-6 cookies, and opening those packages gives you some XP. Not a ton, but it takes way less time than cookie deliveries. (??? minutes)

    Total Non-Weapon-Specific and Non-Element-Specific Bounties Cleared: 18 - ???

Total Time: 45 minutes, plus however much cookie-ing you can stomach.

Note 1: We're skipping Drifter today because he's only got two easy ones. Small/Medium/Large blocker bounty depends too much on how mote-happy your teammates are, and on not getting run over by Invaders. It's possible to do this in one game, or two if you need, but it's not 'free' the way the best bounties are. If you still need to round out Gambit weeklies, you can grab Drifter's "Defeat Enemies" and "Defeat Challenging Enemies"; otherwise, I wouldn't go out of your way for them.

Note 2: Still waiting on Wanted Bounties. Starting tomorrow I'm going to rethink this and see if there's an efficient way to add patrols to Tangled Shore stuff, so we don't have to wait for Planetary Vendors to have three good bounties to synergize with a Wanted Target. Considering how many Wanteds there are in the EDZ, it should be worth it to just go there and do them all in one go. As soon as I've got this worked out, I'll add it to the list.

It was a pain-in-the-ass messing with them because of the extra fabric and the sleeves but I think it worked out, hope you like it too!

This Week at Not Bungie - 1/13/2020 - AI Learning, Autocomplete-Generated TWAB

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 08:00 AM PST

You might know how this goes by now. I run a few TWAB articles into the Botnik predictive writer, which can generate sentences in an autocomplete fashion based on what you feed it.

Not Bungie has a website! All articles that have already seen their time on Reddit can be read over on https://notbungie.net/

We've also got a Not Bungie employee bio section where you can read up on fake people mentioned in these various articles. (Slowly updating over time.)

THIS WEEK AT NOT BUNGIE - 1/13/2020

This week at Not Bungie, we have reverted our victims to eye remains.

Please join your foes from Lord Power Max. In the new year, you believe that we have achieved attention to mod banners. This is amazing. Everyone who stopped Destiny 2 for more time out in the world will be automatically embedded in knives. Figuring out the remaining triumphs for you is going to impact some sweet reward caps. Please post links to your bungie.net profile on Twitter. Dodge off the map and cause other shenanigans for your teammates.

    This Season of Issues

Destiny: Dawn of Sands is almost over. The Eververse store now has everything you believe to be confirmed. Instead of bright dust, you have Pool Energies to spend on Destiny social weapons to add packages from Lord Rewards. Shoot immediately before just joining in progress. Thanks for all the mist.

Guardians meet in glorious swarming Vex notices, but those are some notable strike Mood Cats. You know what, have a special emblem for dismantling any solar subclass with the intention of going hardcore. That should help you make better choices around Shaxx in the tower. The subreddit will remain aware of our ongoing tradition of picking thousands of loud changes to keep dunking on. We know what you are.

    You and Bans

We doubted that this will be obtained, so we weighted the chance of you getting a ban against airborne solar headshot montages. You can have a full day to earn your Honeydew Silver. After that, there will be an attempt on your voice. Momentum Warning in the crucible will be available in strikes until March 25th. Most of your lunar sales will receive familiar temperature mods.

Please start earning Le Monarque exotic quests or we will have to rebind your hands. This isn't what Dmg04 started working for. Let him build a new PC with your bread on the Moon. If you haven't finished the 4th painting by the new year, you have not yet acquired confusion.

    Publish Strike Settings

At Bungie, we have deployed several Hive attacks on your face. Act fast or your armor will be removed from all veteran players. Season of our Sleeve notes will feature familiar foes in new respawns. As we raise money from completing matches that rely on your language barrier, this will further evolve the restriction on perks. Here to tell you about some upcoming maintenance deadlines is Senior Happy Fans, Cheat Williams.

Cheat: Yes. Gunslinger got blown away. We have a few tweaks coming to hunters that will appeal to the Vex on the Moon. Guardians must confront removed pictures that could amplify the Eververse content every season. Precision damage from Lord Supplies will reset when players close more options than desired. Here are the fists of ongoing confusion.

    • Increased base damage from Ada-1 to 3,790%. She can now throw grenades at your guardian.

    • Adjusted hammer throw animations to kill 1,630 guardians per second in PvP. Titans can now hammer for 300 days per super activation. Expect this to be locked in 22 hours.

    • Increased the low end of your guardian to the top of all players.

    • Adjusted titans who disabled earlier milestone iPads. These titans now undergo multiple names before settling on a final, funny, Thanksgiving Hive stream.

    • Decreased hunters from 4 to 2. Hunters now grant more bonus points per rabbit.

    • Warlocks now need 60 days to talk to Shaxx.

    • Increased Cozmo to Studio Gunsmith. He will receive more information on Google Stadia right now. It's been reduced.

    • Adjusted Shaxx from 500 to Proud Heavy Weapons Juggernaut. He is now sweet French hammer.

    • This is now the 9th design note.

    • Dmg04 is now part of this Horrible Candy Corn media.

Thanks, Cheat. I always gave you the undying yeet for Festival of the Objectives. Alongside the lost mods are new exotic rewards:

    • Fists of your continuous confusion: Titans have 20 seconds to melee a hunter before they consider which Tuesday to complete the raid challenge on.

    • Flames of Other Evidence: Warlocks gain 3x super energy for each class on Twitter or chocolate rifle on top of Shaxx.

    • Knives of Prohibitive Salvation: Hunters consuming Hive candies get spooky Monday books.

Movie of Exos in the Dungeon

People sent us videos while we continued to build holiday treats. We didn't ask for this. Go live on the forums with an old wildlife rescue badge.

    First Dust: Headbutt the Moon

Honorable Grenade: Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Your Feedback…

Take the lost emblem and confront your own darkness. Thank this hotfix.

Today, we weighted that new title incorrectly and gave it to everyone. The first TWANB of the year and more people than desired are talking about earning your account. Don't pay for pinnacle rewards. This will be donated to wires who accept other tweets. However, I work digitally in bungie.net, and ban more than a million players every day. Try out your appealing link until the hotfix resolves this.

    Stay you.

    <3 Not Cozmo.

I gave Benedict 99-40 200 cookies, and this is (roughly) what happened

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 05:33 PM PST

I'd like to preface this by apologizing for any formatting issues, I'm on mobile. Also, if you need proof, you can view it here.

Due to the crazy amount of Sundial grinding I did, along with just sheer laziness, I ended up with A LOT of Essence of Dawning. So instead of letting it go to waste tomorrow, I decided to bake as many cookies as I could before The Dawning ends. I ended up having the most ingredients for Benedict's cookie, so I decided he'd be the one to suffer.

While I didn't pay attention to EVERYTHING I received, I did take note of how many Gifts in Return I got (34), and what I got out of them. Here are the results. From the Gifts in Return, I got:

    -47 Enhancement Cores

    -3 Upgrade Modules

    -3 Enhancement Prisms

    -10 Essence of Dawning

    -18 Cold Front SMGs

    -16 Avalanche Machine Guns

I think my only gripe is that I only got 10 Essence of Dawning back out of all of it. If I'm doing math right, my chance of getting A Gift in Return was 17%— my guess would be that the actual drop rate is 15% but I'm not certain. Either way, with how rare they seemingly are/we're, I feel like the chance of getting the Essence back should be higher. Maybe it could be a change for next Dawning? Who knows.
