    True back then, true today. Life does move pretty fast, just as posts move pretty fast on /r/DestinyTheGame. Once a week, "This Week in /r/DestinyTheGame History" brings you some of the gems from this time last year. It's a walk down memory lane to give some perspective of where we were and how things have (or haven't) changed in the last trip around the Sun.

    Crucible Needs Enhancement Prisms.

    Farming 950+ nightfalls solo is torture.

    I get only 10 enhancement cores for reaching legend valor.

    1 reset of valor = less than one tenth of a shard and equates to one week of multiple hour sessions. 10 nightfalls = one shard and takes two hours if you got a team.

    Crucible should reward 10 prisms and an exotic for reaching legend valor. It isn't difficult but the time investment is there. Right now it is wholly unrewarding to play the game the way I want. It is also unsustainable because the lack of resources means I can't diversify my build. And will struggle to even decide which direction to take because I can't maximize the potential of any piece I get.

    Please make banshee's additional bounties grant enhancement cores as well. I'd gladly farm out 100 bounties in a day for a shard but I can't. Banshee only offers 4 cores per character per day, 84 cores per week. Sadly not enough to get even one shard and I have to play characters I have no interest in as well as log in every day when real life takes priority.

    TLDR: Rewards for crucible and ordeal nightfalls are very unbalanced. Crucible valor resets should award 10 prisms not cores. Banshee additional bounties should grant cores in addition to XP.

    Edit: For those worrying about valor reset being too easy or promotion of afk farming, an easy solution would be to add monthly bounties for crucible/gambit/vanguard that require general kills and ability kills as well as a reset/rank/point requirement. These bounties award prisms and would promote gameplay outside of afk participation.

    Who at bungie thought glimmer was a good idea for season pass rewards?

    If it was included only in the free part of the season pass, I don't think anyone would care.

    But the fact that the paid season pass has multiple reward drops that are just glimmer is insane!

    Breakdown of Mobility: Ultimate Edition

    Hey everyone, Crystic here. With the advent of Destiny becoming free-to-play and some more ways of interacting with mobility I've decided repost my mobility guide found here. The /r/IshtarAcademy subreddit right now serves as my notebook of sorts, but in the future I'd like to make it into a subreddit that focuses on the core mechanics of Destiny as a whole. But enough about that let's continue with Mobility in Destiny 2.

    What does Mobility Do?

    As of Season of Dawn, Mobility governs 3 things: Movement Speed, Jump Height, and the Hunter Dodge cooldown. For every tier of mobility you have, you will walk and strafe faster, jump higher, and have a reduced cooldown for your class ability if you are a Hunter. That's it. You'll notice I said walk and strafe earlier, but not sprint. The reason is mobility has no effect on sprint speed at all. A guardian that has tier 0 mobility will sprint just as fast as one with tier 10 mobility, if everything else is equal. Counterintuitive I know, but there are ways to increase sprint speed as well, so fret not.

    Methodology

    When showing any significant data that came from one's own testing it's important to show just how that data was extracted. This way others can replicate the tests in order to verify one's findings. Any information that doesn't reveal the way it was obtained should be regarded as suspect at best. For my tests regarding movement speed, I went to the start of the Leviathan Raid. There is a long path that can be traversed with some cool Cabal that don't attack on sight. With the exotic sniper rifle DARCI, we can determine how far the Cabal are from us. That will be our distance. If we time how long it takes to walk/strafe/sprint to Paul (Paul is the first Cabal on the right, that's Paul, Paul the Cabal) and take that time and divide it into the distance we measured, we can obtain the actual rate at which our guardian moved. That's the methodology for my testing, simply distance divided by time. If recreating this, it's important to get the furthest distance possible while also getting as close to an integer value as possible on DARCI. This will help reduce error in testing.

    An example showing multiple strafe tests 95m from Paul. This shows that Traction gives a hidden +10 mobility, and that Lightweight weapons give +20.

    Walk Speed

    Walk Speed is simply how fast you walk when moving forward. Below is a table that shows all values of each Mobility tier from 0 - 10.

    Moving Forward Bonus

    From this data we can determine that Lightweight weapons and the MIDA twins give +2 tiers of mobility. On top of that, they give what I call a 'moving forward bonus,' which is identical to their bonuses to sprint speed. Lightweight weapons and MIDA give a 6.25% and 10% bonus respectively to moving forward speed.

    Strafe Speed

    Strafe Speed is how fast you move side-to-side and backwards. Below is a table that shows all values of each Mobility tier from 0 - 10.

    Strafe speed is walking forward speed reduced by 15%, and does not receive the moving forward bonus lightweight and MIDA gives.

    Sprint Speed

    As I said earlier, Mobility does not affect sprint speed. Below is a table that shows how fast we sprint by default and the things that do affect sprint speed.

    Sneak Speed

    Sneak speed is also determined by mobility. Sneaking reduces your walking speed by 45%. Therefore, running tier 0 mobility, you will sneak at 2.75 m/s, and running 10 will get you 3.85m/s. Using MIDA or a lightweight weapon will increase the value, but not past the sneak speed cap of 4.0m/s. The Warlock exotic Transversive Steps and the Nightstalker perk Keen Scout both increase your sneak speed to the cap regardless of your mobility.

    Super Movement Speed

    There are quite a few super abilities in Destiny that increase movement speed in one way or another. Here is what each of them do.

    Golden Gun

    • Does not increase mobility.
    • Sprint speed can be increased by Exotic armor.

    Arcstrider

    • Moving forward automatically puts you into sprint.
    • Increases Sprint speed by 12.5% for the duration.
      • Exotic armor and subclass perks that increase sprint speed do not stack.
    • Increases Mobility to tier 10 for the duration.
    • Exotic armor that normally increases slide distance does not increase slide distance while in this super. (St0mp-EE5, The Dragon's Shadow)
    • Using Way of the Current to reflect stops you from sprinting, therefore your maximum speed will be 7.0m/s.

    Spectral Blades

    • Moving forward automatically puts you into sprint.
    • Increases Sprint speed by 12.5% for the duration.
      • Exotic armor that increase sprint speed do not stack.
    • Exotic armor that normally increases slide distance do not increase slide distance while in this super. (St0mp-EE5, The Dragon's Shadow)

    Dawnblade

    • Dramatically increases the velocity of Glide, but as of Season of Dawn Burst Glide is no longer affected.
    • Icarus Dash perk no longer has a cooldown but reduces super energy instead.
    • Does not increase sprint speed for the duration.
    • Sprint speed can be increased by Transversive Steps.
    • Lightweight weapons do not increase sprint speed.

    Stormtrance

    • Movement speed is determined by Mobility, but also a unique modifier that increases movement speed, however it scales inversely with Mobility. Meaning the bonus you get is smaller the higher your mobility is. At tier 0 Mobility your movement is ~8m/s (+60%), and at 10 it is ~9m/s (+28.5%). After tier 3 Mobility the bonus modifier falls off asymptotically towards 9m/s.

    • Transversive Steps do not increase movement speed.

    • Lightweight weapons do not increase movement speed.

    Nova Warp

    • Increases movement speed to 9m/s.
    • Charging decreases your movement speed to 8.5m/s.
    • Transversive Steps do not increase movement speed.
    • Lightweight weapons do not increase movement speed.

    Fists of Havoc

    • Moving forward automatically puts you into sprint.
    • Increases sprint speed by 12.5%.
      • Does not stack with Dunemarchers.
    • Reduces strafe speed by 15%.
    • Exotic armor that normally increases slide distance do not increase slide distance while in this super. (Antaeus Wards, Dunemarchers, Peacekeepers)

    Hammer of Sol

    • Does not increase sprint speed or mobility.
    • Dunemarchers increase sprint speed.

    Burning Maul

    • Moving forward automatically puts you into sprint.
    • Increases sprint speed by 12.5%.
      • Does not stack with exotic armor.
    • Does not increase Mobility.
    • Exotic armor that normally increases slide distance do not increase slide distance while in this super. (Antaeus Wards, Dunemarchers, Peacekeepers)

    Sentinel Shield

    • Moving forward automatically puts you into sprint.
    • Increases sprint speed by 12.5%.
      • Does not stack with Dunemarchers.
    • Increases Mobility to tier 10 for the duration.
    • Blocking prevents you from sprinting, therefore your maximum speed is 7.0m/s.
      • Using Ursa Furiosa allows you to move at normal sprinting speed (8m/s).
    • Exotic armor that normally increases slide distance do not increase slide distance while in this super. (Antaeus Wards, Dunemarchers, Peacekeepers)

    ADS

    Aiming down sights reduces your speed by 25% regardless of whether you are strafing or walking forward. If you want to know a specific value while ADS, just multiply it by 0.75.

    Sidearms have a reduced ADS penalty, from the usual 25% to 15%. So any time you want to use speeds while ADS for sidearms you just take the value and multiply by 0.85 instead.

    Moving Target is a weapon perk that reduces the ADS penalty by roughly 2.5-3.5%. This range indicates that the effect is small enough that it is difficult to pinpoint exactly how much it helps.

    Jump Height

    Mobility only affects initial jump height. I didn't go in depth with jump height but this image will show how much each point will get you. As of now it is still nonlinear, so you are getting more height at the top end of Mobility. Lightweight and MIDA increase your jump height by how much +2 tiers of mobility would get you, so if you had tier 8 mobility you'd have the jump height of tier 10. There are some jumps in the game that are able to be made because of the moving forward bonus provided by MIDA or Lightweight and mantling. Keep in mind that if you hold your jump button you will gain more height than if you just quickly tap it.

    Legend of Acrius when equipped decreases your jump height regardless of your mobility, but does not reduce your walk speed. It does not need to be readied for this effect. This could make Warlock or Titan skating better while not compromising on Mobility.

    Power Weapons

    Rocket Launchers and Machine Guns have an inherent 15% movement speed reduction to walking and strafe speed. However this does not affect sprint speed. Grenade Launchers, Linear Fusion Rifles, Swords, Whisper of the Worm, Darci, Tractor Cannon, Legend of Acrius, and One Thousand Voices all have normal values.

    Traction

    On top of giving you tighter turn radius, gives +15 mobility, even though only 5 is reported in the character screen. This hidden +10 also reduces your dodge cooldown if you're a Hunter.

    Hunter Class Specialization

    Hunters gain reduced class ability cool down for each tier of mobility. This includes the Mobility bonuses from Traction and weapons with Lightweight. You must have the Lightweight gun readied for the duration to get the most benefit. They do not decrease this cool down further than tier 10 mobility.

    Dragon's Shadow's effect, Wraithmetal Mail, grants +5 tiers of mobility also affects Dodge cooldown. When the buff is active, you'll have the cool down of 5 + your Mobility stat. This cannot exceed tier 10.

    Paragon mods from Armor 1.0 do stack with the specialization bonus. Using these in conjunction with tier 10 mobility will decrease your cooldown further. Tier 10 Mobility and 5 Paragon mods will get your cooldown to 6 seconds. This also stacks with Focused Breathing. With the previous build, you can get to 4.75 seconds. With that same build using the exotic Fr0st-335, you can get down to <2.5 seconds.

    Armor Mods

    Mobility mods grant +10 mobility for 3 energy in the general slot for armor.

    Powerful Friends, a Season of the Dawn armor mod, grants +20 mobility when using another Arc mod for 4 energy in the seasonal slot. This mod can be stacked across multiple pieces of armor, and the requirement to have an Arc mod also is only needed for one of them.

    Subclass Perks

    The Stormcaller's perk Pulsewave, in addition to faster reload speed and increased handling, increases your mobility to tier 10. It does not increase your sprint speed.

    The Arcstrider's perk Focused Breathing increases your sprint speed by 6.25%. This perk does not stack with exotic armor that also increase sprint speed.

    The Nightstalker's perk Keen Scout increases your sprint speed by 6.25% and also increases your sneak speed to the sneak speed cap. This perk does not stack with exotic armor that also increase sprint speed.

    Exotic Weapons

    MIDA Multi-tool

    • Increases sprint speed by 10%.
      • This effect stacks with Keen Scout, Focused Breathing, and all exotic armor that increases sprint speed.
    • Increases mobility by +2 tiers.
    • Grants a moving forward bonus of 10%, instead of the usual 6.25% from lightweight.
    • MIDA Mini-tool acts as the MIDA does when you have the Multi-tool stowed.

    Vigilance Wing

    • When Harsh Truths is active gain:
      • Increased sprint speed (Untested)
      • Increased mobility (Untested how much)
      • Increased slide distance.

    Tractor Cannon

    • When Scientific Method is active gain:
      • Increased sprint speed by 12.5%
      • Increased moving forward bonus to 12.5%.

    Chaperone

    • Has the effects of lightweight, equating to increase of 6.25% to sprint speed and moving forward speed, while also giving +2 tiers of mobility.

    Fighting Lion

    • Has the effects of lightweight, equating to increase of 6.25% to sprint speed and moving forward speed, while also giving +2 tiers of mobility.

    Le Monarque

    • Has the effects of lightweight, equating to increase of 6.25% to sprint speed and moving forward speed, while also giving +2 tiers of mobility.

    Sunshot

    • Does not have lightweight.

    Riskrunner

    • Does not have lightweight.

    Rat King

    • Does not have lightweight.

    Thorn

    • Does not have lightweight.

    Outbreak Perfected

    • Does not have lightweight.

    Bad Juju

    • Does not have lightweight.

    Lumina

    • Does not have lightweight.

    Thunderlord and Xenophage

    • Like all Machine Guns currently in the game, they receives a 15% movement penalty to strafe speed, but not sprint speed.

    Truth, Wardcliff Coil, Deathbringer, and Two-Tailed Fox

    • Like all Rocket Launchers in the game, they receives a 15% movement penalty to strafe speed, but not sprint speed.

    Exotic Armor

    St0mp-EE5

    • Increases sprint speed by 6.25%.
      • This effect stacks with lightweight and MIDA.
      • This effect does not stack with perks Keen Scout or Focused Breathing.
    • Increases slide distance.
    • Does not increase mobility.

    Fr0st-EE5

    • Increases sprint speed by 6.25%, but only after dodging.
      • This effect lasts for 10 seconds.
      • This effect stacks with lightweight and MIDA.
      • This effect does not stack with Keen Scout or Focused Breathing.

    Dragon's Shadow

    • After dodging gain a buff that:
      • Increases sprint speed by 6.25%
        • This effect stacks with lightweight and MIDA.
        • This effect does not stack with perks Keen Scout or Focused Breathing.
      • Increases mobility by +5 tiers.
        • This effect also affects your Dodge cool down, but not further than tier 10 mobility would get you.
      • Increases slide distance.
      • Lasts for 10 seconds.

    Transversive Steps

    • Increases sprint speed by 6.25%.
      • This effect stacks with lightweight and MIDA.
    • Increases slide distance.
    • Increases sneak speed to the maximum (4.0m/s), regardless of mobility, lightweight, etc. like in D1.
    • Does not increase mobility.

    Dunemarchers

    • Increases sprint speed by 6.25%.
      • This effect stacks with lightweight and MIDA.
    • Does not increase ADS movement speed or sprint rotation like in D1.
    • Increases slide distance.
    • Does not increase mobility.

    Peacekeepers

    • When an SMG is readied (not stowed) gain:
      • Increased Sprint Speed by 6.25%
        • This effect stacks with Lightweight and MIDA.
      • Increased mobility by +5 tiers.
      • Increased slide distance.
      • Decreased ADS movement penalty from 25% to 9%.

    Mk. 44 Stand Asides

    • Does not increase Sprint Speed.

    FAQ

    Does Mobility affect sprint speed?

    No.

    Does Mobility affect jump abilities?

    Yes and no. How high your initial jump will affect your total jump height and time in air. It also affects your angle of your jump curve, which is important when using Glide, Lift, and Blink. But Mobility has no direct affect on those jump abilities.

    Does having high mobility affect warlock/titan skating?

    Yes. In that since you have a higher jump, you'll being in air longer, so the time it takes for you to descend will be longer, which ultimately will slow down your total speed. Having a low Mobility will increase your skate speed, but you obviously will walk and strafe slower.

    Does Mobility affect sliding?

    No, only certain exotics affect how far you slide.

    Can you increase Mobility past tier 10?

    Sort of. You can in that if you use a Lightweight weapon or MIDA the speed at which you move forward is faster than if you didn't have them. However your strafe speed will be the same. Moving Target can also increase your ADS speed past what it would be if you only had 10 mobility, but your normal speed will be unchanged.

    Can you test <insert effect that lasts less than 5 seconds>?

    Probably not. Anything that low will be difficult to test without a lot of error.

    What's the best/most optimal tier of Mobility?

    Unlike every other stat, Mobility's stat curve is linear. This means you will get as much as you put in, with no diminishing returns. That being said, the local consensus seems to be "what you're comfortable with," but I'd argue tier 10 is the best. You'll get used to it fairly quickly and you can hit a higher ceiling (pun intended) of gameplay.

    I'm sorry for stealing your kills in strikes. And also running 2 primaries and a rocket. And using said rocket on one lonely thrall.

    I'm sorry for invading in Gambit even though you have the red thing above your head. And using weapons and supers that do next to nothing to the Primeval.

    I'm sorry for running around in the Crucible acting carelessly and using nothing but a shotgun. Or wasting my super on one enemy. Sometimes not even one.

    I could go on, but I'll stop here. I just wanted to apologize to everyone I've encountered. I'm really not that dumb or bad as it may look. Well, maybe.

    But I'm just trying to finish some bounties.

    I would be willing to pay more for seasons if it means Eververse gets limited

    Obviously I do not know how much money Eververse makes for Bungie compared to how much money the season pass generates. If Eververse could go back in just selling emotes, I would be more then happy to pay a couple extra bucks to help offset profits between the two. I understand Eververse is there to make extra cash for their company, but with the path it is going on I believe it is soon going to do more harm then good.

    Can we for Dec 2020 - June 2021 just get strike, Gambit, Crucible, and raid content in seasons?

    Like add to what we have so the game feels focused and occasionally go back to old content like Forges, EP, Blind well, ect and add some QoL to them?

    I like the sun dial, but I feel this structure just causes the game to lose focus. We get a seasonal thing, seasonal thing gets content, seasonal thing is gone, new seasonal thing, repeat. None of it really revolves around any other piece of content.

    We dont need a ton of things in the game when we can have additions to what we already have.

    Currently the community has voiced that they want:

    • Trials
    • Strike content
    • QoL for existing content
    • Crucible content

    Theres nothing wrong with the occasional new mode, but I'd rather get additions to the stuff we already have; New strikes, Gambit maps, Crucible maps/returning modes (Rift, I miss ya pal) and the return of trials and factions (Dead orbit forever)

    Again, I love this season, but what's the point when the content I love is gone in 60 days.

    This would prevent the game from bloating to sizes deemed to large for hard drives

    Whether it'd be in Destiny 3 or a future major release, I think we need a overhaul in the fashion department. Although I'm sure this has been suggested before, I would start with class items.

    • For starters, I think I speak for many Warlocks when I say that bonds are underwhelming compared to capes and marks.

    An online artist, Paul Reinwand, sketched out how Warlocks would look with mantles. For some, there are even some crazy designs on the back of the mantle that make them look more snappy.

    Here's how that would look

    Of course, many people love their glowing bonds. Ideally, we would be able to wear either or, but I'm simply throwing out ideas.

    • I also think I speak for quite a few Hunters when I say the designs for capes haven't been as thrilling in D2. There are too many hoods that clip to armor, or crowd around the helmet way too much. That, and most cloaks now have a kind of raggedy/broken look to them.

    Here's some models of Ponchos already designed by Bungie, displayed on Uldren and Hawthorne

    Personally, I do love some of the cloaks. I simply feel like we may need to add a bit of change in there.

    • Titans should be able to wear capes, akin to Saladin, especially since our Guardians are Iron Lords now. It would make a lot of sense thematically.

    Oh, and please, let us have boss specific armor back. I think that was a big check for D1; the sense of accomplishment it brought was a great feeling. And they looked unique!

    The Dragon's Shadow is the best Hunter Exotic right now

    The Dragons Shadow (DS henceforth) is ridiculously good rn. With a high enough mobility (I havent done any serious testing, but just from playing at least 70 mobility), you can keep Wraithmetal Mail up constantly *if* you have a Perpetuation mod on your cloak (it needs to be a void cloak). Wraithmetal Mail means that dodging reloads all your weapons (which is superior to Marksmans Dodge, which only reloads the current weapon), provides a whopping 100 reload to all your weapons. This is equivalent to giving all your weapons the buff from Outlaw permanently (clip https://medal.tv/clips/15120323/d1337VvpmkrO ). It also buffs your sprint speed by a noticeable amount (i dont have hard numbers for this one). The buff also provides a buff to handling that drastically increases ready/stow speed (clip https://medal.tv/clips/15119625/d1337wboqQ1C ). The handling buff also gives a huge increases to ADS speed ( clip here: https://medal.tv/clips/15119857/d1337KuaiumF ). All these buffs, with the right build and good timing, can last FOREVER (clip https://medal.tv/clips/15120705/d1337xFIj6pq ). In conclusion, this chest armor is amazing, and you are doing yourself a disservice not using it. Seriously go reacquire this baby. You wont regret it.

    Bungie should make the next season about QoL improvements and improving aspects of the game instead of pushing out unrewarding content

    The title basically sums up this post, but the entire idea is to fix all of the issues that Destiny 2 has right now in a season (or at least a short period of time) instead of pushing out content that isn't fulfilling to the player.

    A bit of background about how I play, and I think about how most of the community that isn't hardcore plays: I play when I can for about as long as I can, which usually isn't extraordinarily long. I mostly play casually, which means control crucible with fun builds I find on YouTube and just for fun with the few friends that I play with. However, I have found destiny less and less fun to play for a lot of reasons ranging from the way that high-level content works to how loot is given out.

    First of all, let's talk about the artifact mods. The concept is great, as it allows players to create combos that are fun to play with. However, the inclusion of Unstoppable, Barrier and Overload mods was a mistake. When you say "play your way", it should mean that I can use whatever weapons I want. However, now I am limited to scouts, pulses, and bows. By the way, bows are useless at literally everything, so I am basically relegated to scouts and pulses for high-level activities. By the way, that does not include Exotics like Gravitation lance for some reason. Bungie, exotics should be special and I should be able to use them against special enemies such as Barriers. I would happily trade a season if it meant I could use my favorite exotics and legendaries in nightfalls. (including a way to change the affinity on armor)

    Also, as a warlock main, half of everything in our class is useless. There is no reason to play a class like a bottom tree stormcaller. The entire idea of the bottom tree is based around rifts providing value to the entire team, which is a cool idea and I would love to play it. However, the ability to gain quicker recharge of the rift doesn't work and hasn't for years. Plus half the time our rift doesn't even deploy on cast and it has to be done again. There is a group of devoted guardians who have made a list here. Again, I would be satisfied if Bungie took off some time to fix these bugs.

    Also, the load in times are a mess. They have gotten so bad that they have started to affect PC, and I can only imagine what they are like on console without SSD. Here is a list of the issues, not made by me. These issues, combined with how Telesto finds a glitch ever other week, gives the idea that the Destiny code is a mess. I'm not a programmer, so I don't know the details, but it seems like there are some major issues. Again, I would be fine if Destiny took a season off just for QoL improvements.

    Additionally, there are so many useless exotic armor pieces. Exotics should be special, and there should be some reason to use all of them. Here is a list of the ones I think aren't great:

    1. Stormdancer's Brace: Buffs damage on Stormcaller for each enemy killed. No reason to use, as very little situations where this would be better than blowing my GL load.
    2. Ursa Furiosa: Buffs movement speed while guarding with sentinel shield, returns super energy for damage dealt. I have used this with middle tree, and have found the super energy return to be super inconsistent. Additionally, I would rather just use a bubble as effects don't stack anyway.
    3. FR0ST-EE5: Quicker ability recharge while sprinting, and increases sprint speed after dodging. The ability recharge rate is minor, and stompees are vastly superior because they also impact jump speed.
    4. Eternal Warrior: Grants overshield upon activation of Fists of Havoc. Only possibly useful in PvP, and a one-time overshield during a super activation that doesn't need an overshield is useless.
    5. Armamentarium: Additional grenade charge. That's it. An additional grenade charge is not something that I would ever use my exotic slot for, although I understand it could be usefull at times.
    6. Apotheosis Veil: Grants ability energy upon super cast, and allies class regens faster. Again, something that activates upon super cast is not useful because of how sporadic a super is, and you would need to play around this in order to gain value from it.
    7. Verity's Brow: Provides grenade energy upon energy weapon kills. This would be fantastic. However, in order to make it not broken, Bungie nerfed the recharge rate to next to nothing.
    8. Claws of Ahamkara: Grants additional warlock melee. Additional charges with no buff to the ability will always be useless unless the ability is exceptionally powerful.
    9. Sanguine Alchemy: Heightened radar in rift, and wallhacks on one powerful enemy while in the rift. This would be amazing. However, after using it, the opponent has to be very close for it to work and doesn't feel as good as it should.
    10. All Aeon Ally armor: Grants energy to Aeon Cult allies upon an ability activation. First of all, it isn't explained what an Aeon Cult ally is, and it would be hard to find one in random matchmaking.
    11. MK. 44 Stand asides: Grants overshield while sprinting with a shoulder charge. No use for a overshield if not in a gunfight or when you can't use weapons
    12. Mechaneer's tricksleeves: Buffs sidearms. Sidearms aren't the best weapons in the current meta. Not super useful.

    There are honestly a lot more that I couldn't find or wasn't sure if I needed to point out, such as Crest of Alpha Lupi, which gives a healing pulse when a barricade is cast. A barricade blocks damage, meaning you can recharge naturally. The pulse isn't needed. Please, Bungie , give these exotics some love, even if it takes some time.

    The main issue with this idea, of course, is the fact that there would be no more content for an entire season or whatever length of time this would take. However, I would argue the contrary. For example, if Bungie made all exotics have 2.0 mods, or intrinsically had them, there could be other builds besides Divinity + Izanagi's Burden, which would add diversity and more enjoyment to the player base. Also, if Bungie made other activities other than bounty farming rewarding, it would open up so many new activities to the players, as there would be a reason to do more activities, such as giving Shaxx and Zevala new loot that isn't years old. Seriously, I have about two thousand useless crucible tokens that I would like to do something with. Anyway, that's about it. I just wanted to express my frustrations while also giving a possible solution to the problem. (Also, sorry for any typos I typed this really fast).

    Clarifying edits: I am not suggesting that there should be a paid season that focuses entirely on just bug fixes. I am just saying that I, (and this is my opinion, would rather see some things tweaked and fixed instead of putting items into eververse, for example.)

    Why would I masterwork this season's gear if it has built-in obsolescence? The practice of planned obsolescence is frowned upon everywhere and in Destiny it should be no different.

    What has happened to you Bungie? From wanting to make a game about collecting everything and not leaving anyone out, you've resolved to abusing FOMO and planned obsolescence. What's next? Handicapping all our weapons after each season so we have to grind them all over again as well?

    What happened to respecting our time investment?

    Bungie, if you're having a hard time providing content to keep us engaged, using these tactics isn't the way. We're just going to burn out at some point. If technical dept is the reason, work that out first. No need to create a whole new throwaway activity every season. I'd rather just see new variations of existing activities, like Strike versions of Story missions. How about six-person strike variations?

    Hey guys! I always like to share our progress on speedruns and here's our newest run. A lot of changes were made a few weeks ago to garden in a patch (including the nerf to standing on sticky grenades). Before the changes, around a 12 minute time could have been achieved.     Something I found messing with Python

    So, the overflow perk on Python brings the mag size up to 10, which is nice, and with Backup Mag it goes up to 12. What I found out by accident is that if you pick up a Special Ammo Finder brick (extra glow) to overflow the mag, it overflows the mag with one extra round, bringing it up to 11, or 13 with Backup Mag. It doesn't do anything if the mag is already Overflowed to max, but if it is under the overflow max, it will bump the mag up to max +1.

    Dunno why it does this, but thought the wider community should know.

    EDIT: i should note that i didn't try this with Shotgun Ammo Finder, but specifically Special Ammo Finder

    This game has an incredibly clunky UI. While I personally believe it could use a massive UI/UX overhaul, here are a few QoL improvements I think would go a long ways to helping the interface out.

    1. ACCEPT ALL COMPLETED TRIUMPHS

      First up is something pretty simple. Currently, the only way to clear your triumphs is to go to each individual completed triumph and click it. Please allow us to accept them all with a button press if we don't want to go through it one by one. https://i.imgur.com/xMyfdmc.png

    2. COLLECTIONS SORTING

      This one is also a somewhat obvious QoL improvement. The various collections tabs should each be able to be cycled through various sort methods including Quality/Alphabetical/Season. https://i.imgur.com/3QFQG8j.png

    3. INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

      I'm going to include a few things under this. Firstly, a button to quickly deconstruct everything blue and below would garner a lot of respect from the community, especially Crucible players who are drowning in blues.

      Secondly, color coding the "quick reference" boxes is an easy way to get a better idea of what's in your inventory, rather than just knowing how full your inventory is. https://i.imgur.com/oaBjccA.png

    4. MELEE ABILITY

      The Melee Abilities are, as they say, abilities tied to the melee button. Activating these abilities can be clunky however. Using a hunter throwing knife for example, it can be difficult to judge close range distance - you may want to throw a knife to do damage but keep a distance, but end up lunging with the melee directly into danger.     5. HUD MANAGEMENT

      This one is likely to be the most divisive as console players would be unlikely to like differences in PC and console versions, but on PC the ability to adjust the UI would be a MASSIVE improvement. At high resolutions and playing somewhat close to a monitor, things like the radar are too small/in a bad spot. The ability to individually adjust scaling and placement would be incredible and make the game significantly better in the moment to moment. https://i.imgur.com/NICdzSr.jpg

    We need matchmaking preferences for Crucible.

    After watching watching DFP video on SBMM and recently playing Halo again, I had to say something.

    Let's be real SBMM has screwed crucible ever since shadowkeep. The wait times are garbage. Team balancing is just horrible if you queue solo. And connections are not priority.

    Why do we have to let Bungie decide what were looking for in matchmaking. This same thing happened in D1. They added SBMM for year everyone hated and they took it out after everyone complained. They would have to worry about this if they took some resources to make matchmaking preferences.

    Look how they did it in Reach so basic yet could solve so many problems with crucible's matchmaking situation. I dont care if it's this basic I just want the option. If they want to add more to this later fine but we need something.

    If I want fast match have default be broad and look for quickest match possible but have a warning saying something like connection and skill are not prioritized for faster matchmaking time.

    Do this for every option. Have a description and a warning.

    If there are UI gods out there make a mock up version for Bungie to see because I know it's because of you guys we got the Quest and Bounty UI to be better than what is was before.
