Posted: 16 Jan 2020 03:08 PM PST Source: https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/48644 This week at Bungie, Osiris requests your assistance. I'm currently writing this TWAB from the warmth of my home office. There's been an abundance of snow in the greater Seattle area, so many of us with long commutes have been keeping up the pace through the miracle of the internet and conference calls. The show must go on. There's a mysterious new quest being offered by the wily Warlock who's always messing about with time itself. The community's already on the case and working together to explore the Corridors of Time. We don't want to spoil anything, but do want to let everyone know that this one's a marathon, not a sprint. We'll keep an eye on things and so far we're impressed with your progress! Iron BannerThe Dawning has come to a close, and that clears up some room in the Tower for Lord Saladin to return and kick off the next Iron Banner. Iron Banner and Valor Bonus Start: 9 AM PST on January 21 End: 9 AM PST on January 28 Based on feedback collected during the first Iron Banner from this Season, we'll be auto-completing everyone through the portion of the quest that requires Rocket Launcher defeats. We weren't able to deploy a change to this step, but we can complete it for anyone who hasn't already done so. This gives us time to consider changing or removing this step for next Season. Guardians to the Rescue Last week, we pledged to support Australia's firefighting efforts and animal rescue and conservation efforts due to the ongoing bush fires devastating parts of the country. Today, we shared the full details on how you can support these efforts by purchasing a limited-edition "Guardians for Australia" T-shirt that also comes with a free "Star Light, Start Bright" emblem as a thank you for your donation. The shirt is now available for pre-order on the Bungie Store, and here is a quick preview of what it looks like. [ ](https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/48638) Click here for the full details on how you can add the shirt to your wardrobe and the new emblem to your collection. Patch Note PreviewWhen the 2.7.0.2 update slipped, we were reminded that sometimes our plans have to shift a bit. But we were able to release it today with only a 48-hour delay! So far, 2.7.1 is on schedule and here's a small preview at a few of the changes coming in it. Orbit/Director

SUPPORT RAPPORTWe launched Season of Dawn last month and we scrambled the fighters to shoot down some new bugs this week. Player Support has the details. This is their report.
Silence Your PhonesIt's time for Movie of the Week. This is our chance to seek out our favorite community-created videos and literally force you to watch them here. Ok, maybe you don't have to watch them, but why wouldn't you? They're great! Movie of the Week: This is the Way Honorable Mention: Knives Out These auteurs just won a cool emblem as evidence of their filmmaking prowess. Please allow a few days for them to arrive. Thanks for using our game to express your creativity! It's just one of the reasons why we love this passionate community. It's a light TWAB week. This new year is taking its time to roar back to full speed and the weather isn't helping at all. The current activity is hush-hush, so we're going to step back and watch as you work together to solve it. Happy hunting. <3 Cozmo [link] [comments] |

Posted: 16 Jan 2020 09:33 AM PST Source: https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/48638 The bush fires currently ravaging Australia have been devastating. Many people have lost their homes, firefighters are risking their lives daily, and an estimated hundreds of millions of wild animals have fallen victim to the fires. We have created the Guardians for Australia fundraising campaign to support both Australia's firefighting efforts and the country's animal rescue and conservation efforts. Beginning now, the Guardians for Australia fundraising campaign is live on the Bungie Store and Bungie Store EU. As we mentioned last week, we have developed a limited time T-shirt, with an additional in-game emblem code to show support for those in need. Guardians for Australia T-Shirt Star Light, Star Bright Emblem The T-shirt, which comes with an exclusive Destiny 2 "Star Light, Star Bright" emblem redemption code with purchase, will be available for pre-order on the Bungie Store and Bungie Store EU between Thursday, January 16 and Tuesday, February 18 at 9 a.m. Pacific, ending with the weekly reset and the end of Crimson Days. Half of all profits generated by these T-shirt sales will be donated to NSW Rural Fire Service. The second half will be donated to WIRES, Australia's largest wildlife rescue organization. I really like Arbalest but I wish it would work with match game Posted: 16 Jan 2020 10:05 AM PST It's so cool carrying a railgun around but it's main perk should really be more useful in the endgame, it is an exotic that's made for sheild breaking after all [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Jan 2020 03:06 AM PST I doubt I am the only one who misses those armours. They looked awesome and gave our enemies ( hive specifically) a reason to fear us. Having this aesthetic return( maybe with a TRUE hive raid. COS and LW don't count.) would be cool. [link] [comments] |

Optimized Bounties for 1/16/2020 Posted: 16 Jan 2020 09:24 AM PST We have followed in Osiris' footsteps, and sent thousands of our own reflections into the Corridors of Time to search for answers. An infinite number of possible futures, and we now know that in each and every one of them, you have already done today's bounties. In order to preserve these futures, you must complete them in order to ensure that the future we saw in the past becomes our present. Look, I don't make the rules, alright? Take it up with Jeremy Bearimy. Step 1 - Put the Peeps in the chili pot, then add the M&M's. Step 2 - Pick up the following Dailies - you can check here for the Weeklies you need. Tower Bounties:
Extra Planetary Bounties:
Step 3 - Follow these steps:
Total Non-Elemental Non-Weapon-Specific Bounties Cleared: 19 Dailies, ??? Weeklies Total Time: 80 minutes-ish. Note 1: I've had some requests from the PvE crowd for alternatives to the Crucible/Gambit Dailies, so I'm going to start adding in Planetary Dailies for any Planet that has three easy-to-complete bounties that can also feed into Weeklies. For example, Titan's bounties today can all be completed in two public events, and if you do the Fallen public events, you're helping to clear your 300 Fallen Obelisk Weekly at the same time. There are also element/weapon specific bounties you can do, but I'd recommend only doing them if you already like using those weapons/elements. Don't force yourself to play with guns/abilities you hate! [link] [comments] |
Hush is still broken and has been since Season of Dawn started Posted: 16 Jan 2020 01:44 PM PST So I haven't seen this posted anywhere, but the seasonal mods don't work on Hush. Unstoppable shot and anti-barrier both don't work for it, which is really unfortunate as it is the only solar bow in a decent archetype. I can't imagine that it was intended for Hush not to work with mods, so is bungie aware of this? I was hoping that it would have gotten cleared up this hotfix, but it is still broken. EDIT: Anti-barrier only works on champions, but not other things. So anti-barrier is still weirdly broken and not applying to everything correctly. [link] [comments] |
No wonder some of osiris' hundred thousand echoes went insane. Posted: 16 Jan 2020 01:23 AM PST There is like trillions and trillions of possible combinations each echo can take in the corridors of time puzzle. I kinda feel bad for them now:( [link] [comments] |
If trench barrel lasts for 3 shots, why can't box breathing? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 02:00 AM PST It would make a former great perk not just good again, but also desirable. [link] [comments] |
Can the Trinity Ghoul get some much needed love? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 08:07 PM PST It's a bow that is so underwhelming that you think would be sick with its Lightning rod perk, but it has been covered in dust and forgotten. I go to use it after using Le Monarque and my god, have I never felt so weak. I was using it in crucible and it's perk is so hard to proc. It has no range for a bow as it's arrows split to 3 and it is drawn to slow to even compete with the Le Monarque. Can it maybe get a buff to speed it's draw time up or add snapshot? Something please... I really love the concept behind it but it's as if Bungie was afraid to make an overpowered bow. - Your friendly bow user [link] [comments] |

A Mythbusters style look at Weighted Knife and Contraverse Hold+Handheld Supernova Posted: 16 Jan 2020 08:08 AM PST Recently I've been seeing a lot of arguments about Weighted knife (and hunters in general) and Handheld Supernova with contraverse hold. I've seen a lot of misinformation on both sides about the range, durability and aim assist values of each. I've decided to make a mostly unbiased video showcasing these abilities and talking about a couple other busted things. Here I do a mythbusters testing of Handheld Supernova + Contraverse hold. I test it's max range on PC and its max range with 30fps and a controller. I also test a variety of things you can facetank with the added armor. I also test the aim assist values of the weighted knife. Surpising results on this one. I also talk about the last word a bit and compare its body shot ttk to the headshot ttk of spare rations and the antiope. Did you know Erentil can kill at 52+ Meters? Here's the full video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBH3FBcy3CU&t=6s (there is a 46 second explanation before the tests.) And here's a short and sweet version without the YT fluff: https://youtu.be/2fKTZRYWwPI Note: If you are in a high ping environment your results may vary. HHSN and Erentil tests done on a stationary target. Hope you enjoy! This post might be CONTRAVERSE-ial but lets keep it civil guys. [link] [comments] |

Hate to be the bringer of badness during fun puzzle time but.... Unveiling is still bugged. Posted: 16 Jan 2020 01:40 PM PST |
Posted: 16 Jan 2020 12:54 PM PST There were some amazing ornaments I worked my butt off for, like Trials of the Nine and Faction Armour and there is no way I can use them on my current gear. This is a real shame, it would be great if we could use any ornament on any piece of armour. What annoys me though is eververse armour like Optimacy which is older than any ornaments can be used and bought from the store. There should be more respect to the hours and hours guardians put in collecting these ornaments only for them to be made redundant. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Jan 2020 11:55 AM PST Intro I'm back with my final movement guide, this time for Titans! Some of you may remember my Warlock movement guide or my Hunter movement guide. This guide is intended as a resource for players of any skill level. In particular, if you are a new or intermediate player, you will hopefully find some new information here to incorporate into your gameplay. For veterans, this should hopefully serve as a touchstone reminder of everything that the Titan class is capable of. I tuned the audio so that you can hear specific keypress timings to get a better feel for when you should be making specific inputs. Each section of the guide is linked to the timestamp in the video, so if you want to see demonstration of a specific technique, just click on that section. The mobility stat only affects your strafe and initial jump height. It does not boost sprint speed, nor does it directly affect ability jump height, which are common misconceptions new players hold. Your lifts will be indirectly affected by mobility, since they operate off your initial jump. You can increase your sprint speed by other means, typically exotic armor and lightweight weapons. Keep in mind that sprint buffs cap at 2. This isn't a huge deal for Titan, as you'll mainly be acquiring sprint speed from exotic and weapon buffs anyway. Titan surprisingly has a number of exotic mobility options. Dunemarchers are the obvious choice, as it's the Titan's version of Stomps/T-Steps, granting spring speed and slide distance buffs. You also have the Lion Rampant, a very powerful aerial exotic. This is useful both for the buffs to your lift, hipfire accuracy midair, and greater control. Antaeus Wards are also a sleeper mobility exotic that many people ignore. Although they don't buff sprint speed, they do buff slide distance, to pretty much the same degree as Dunemarchers. Combo these with a lightweight weapon and you'll be pretty close to getting Dunemarchers level effect without Dunemarchers. As with the Warlock rift, Titans cannot cast their barricade while sliding. However, if you press your barricade activation key while sprinting, your Titan will deploy the barricade with a special sliding animation, useful if you want to return to cover or challenge a corner with your barricade without stopping. You have 3 jump options:
High Lift is the weakest lift imo. It has slow acceleration, poor control, and leaves you hanging in the air. The only time I ever consider this lift is for jumping puzzle cheeses. Strafe Lift offers the least height, but the most control and good airtime. You can also perform a pseudo "skate" by delaying your lift activation until right before you hit the ground. This will cause you to glide forward very rapidly just off the ground in a flat line. If you are on console, this is a good alternative to traditional Titan skating, which is hard to pull off on a controller. Catapult Lift is my go to all around lift. It has a great initial burst of speed, decent height, and poor in air time. While High Lift wins in total heigh, Catapult Lift gets much more initial height thanks to the speed burst, making it much more useful in pvp and for general usage. You can feather your jumps into two to three bursts to cross greater distances, effectively turning your lift into a pseudo Triple Jump like Hunters have. It's also the best lift for traditional Titan skating. Titan skating is rather simple and basically boils down to binding your jump key to scroll wheel and rolling it gently to spam jump inputs incredibly fast. Unlike the Warlock, you don't need to worry as much about specific timings or finesse, just make sure you don't accidentally leave your lift on and send yourself sailing up into the air. Most players understand shoulder charge basics, so I'm going to skip them here (although I do cover them in the video if you are new or never played Titan). One of the most important shoulder charge techs to know is the fact that you can still shoulder charge out of a slide. This is important because it means you can fire your weapon during the slide and still shoulder charge. Once you are comfortable using this technique, you can use it as a Hunter dodge equivalent to safely challenge corners and sightlines. Approach the corner you want to challenge, slide out, take your shot, then flick to face your cover and hit your shoulder charge to dash back into cover as you come out of your slide (check this out if you're confused by the description). Mastering this technique allows you to be much more mobile and safe when challenging angles. There are three important things you need for sword flying: Lion Rampants, Catapult Lift, and of course, a sword (any will do). To perform, activate a quick lift burst and immediately deactivate it. Wait about half a second, then perform a light attack with your sword. Wait another half second, and repeat with the lift burst. The timing here is very important (check the video timestamp if the description is confusing). This isn't Warlock sword skating, you need to be deliberate and leave a bit of room between your lift bursts and your sword swings. If you time it right, you'll be able to fly around in a flat line without losing any heigh for as long as you have sword ammo. There are only two Titan supers (Burning Maul and Fists of Havoc) that can proc into a slide without losing momentum. However, almost all of the roaming supers can be procced mid air to retain a small amount of momentum (and you can also throw in an aerial shoulder charge before the proc for a little more distance). Thundercrash You can use your Ballistic Slam right before your Thundercrash to gain more distance. If you pop Thundercrash while in the middle of a Ballistic Slam (before you hit the ground) it will not consume the Slam CD. Burning Maul You can spin to win infinitely with the light attack as long as you do not spin yourself off a ledge. As soon as your feet leave the ground, the chain will end. Sentinel There are two variations of the bash combos, a grounded (3 hit) and aerial (2 hit). You can spam the first attack of your aerial chain over and over in combination with a jump to perform a bash skate. The timing on this is pretty tricky to pull off. It's also worth noting that certain attacks chain much better into your shield throw. The aerial chain starter is the best attack combo into the shield. You should also note that your will combo out of shield far better than you can combo into it. I.e., use your shield as a chain starter, not a chain finisher. Conclusion Titan is a very interesting class for movement because it is very fast but tends to lack a lot of control. Once you get going in a certain direction, you can move pretty fast, but it can be difficult to adjust your course while in motion. Smart application of lift mechanics and shoulder charges can help mitigate some of these issues, but in general you have to be a bit more forward thinking with your movement than a Hunter or Warlock. In PvE, you'll be faster than a Hunter, but will still fall far behind Warlocks. Sword flying is your main movement strength, and allows you to do some things even Warlocks can't, even if you're not quite as fast as them. Once again, I have made a guide just like this for Warlocks and Hunters, so if you're interested, you can find those links here: [link] [comments] |
I really hope that Bungie will add some new maps to the Gambit rotation soon Posted: 16 Jan 2020 05:19 PM PST After literally playing Deep Six all night, I am really excited to play some new maps when they finally add them into rotation! [link] [comments] |
Phoenix Rise: A Tribute for Phoenix Protocol Posted: 16 Jan 2020 07:36 AM PST A few months ago I've created an artwork to express my love towards Well-lock and Phoenix Protocol in particular. I have always been playing as healer or supportive classes in MMORPGs, and unsurprisingly I've been a Sunsinger since D1 Day 1. After the nerf of Lunafaction, I've turned to use Phoenix Protocol and the Fenghuang ornament caught my eye when it was in the store. Full image: https://imgur.com/a/SAtZvFS Details (face): https://imgur.com/k6X0GUH Details (sword): https://imgur.com/58bi45p Since it's apparent that the Fenghuang ornament is a clear reference to Chinese mythical bird bearing the same name, I've taken some inspiration from the mural art of the Mogao Caves with some apparent ancient West Asia and Chinese Han Dynasty aesthetics, especially by trying to replicate the rich, saturated colors that could only be recreated with mineral pigments. I have always wondered how do Well-locks look physically when they put down the Well of Radiance. By its defensive/supportive nature, the Well is much alike the Bubble, which the Light energy is "bursted" through a very disciplined manner. Hence I conceptualized the Warlock having her Light being heavily radiated through the Light-forged sword, so much that it could cast off a prismatic colored radiance, while her entire form pulses subtly with Light. With this in mind, I tried to represent the aura of "the peaceful one is at war without and within" of the Super ability. I've also elaborated the sword so it bears the same silhouette with the in-game sword but has a phoenix motif on it. Hope this piece may be appreciated by Warlocks who likes Well as much as me. Posted: 16 Jan 2020 02:27 PM PST Marsh here from the Dumbo spreadsheet, I'm here to reach out to all community members that want to contribute to the Corridor Puzzle in a more interactive way. We believe we have a very strong method of optimizing speed and data correctness. But in order for this to work we need anybody and everybody who wants to start deciphering their own codes and contribute more than just your pictures to some streamer. Our Data collection is one of the largest and what I believe as the most reliable because of how the data constantly cross checks itself. With the mass amounts of community submitted combinations added to our sheet there are bound to be duplicates. We use these duplicates to our advantage to check if they were entered correctly. If combinations come in identical that would mean 2 different people deciphered the same code and got the same exact results. Statistically making this highly improbable that they made the same exact mistake in the same exact location. This concept of one community submitted combo checking another is the basis of our high accuracy. The speed will only come from greater and greater community participation on our google form. Its time for you community members that usually sit back and watch someone else solve your puzzles to stand up and be a part of something greater. Isn't that what these puzzles are meant to do? Bring the entire community working together, not just the typical group of streamers. I encourage you all to take some time to decipher your combos, your friend's combos, your friend's friend's! Details on what you can do to help us in the long run and how to submit specifics and tips are below in the help section. TLDR: We want an entire community effort rather than a small group effort to collect data. So get your butts on our form and decipher some combos. Posted: 16 Jan 2020 01:27 PM PST I would love to be able to toggle between having my guardian hold the currently equipped kinetic and energy weapons. As someone who plays the game a lot, one of my main time sinks these days is customization and fashion and I don't know about you, but there are entire loadouts and weapons that I avoid because I don't like the way they look when they are equipped! I know that the weapon preview and inspection system is pretty baked into Tiger - so this may be a long shot - but it is definitely something that I would love. I would also love to see some different "stances" like in warframe, but I know that one is a huuuuge request. Imagine unlocking a new stance from a pinnacle actvity :0 (imagine unlocking anything cosmetic from a pinnacle activity) Happy TWAB day :) [link] [comments] |
Breakneck getting a buff, but Redrix' Broadsword not? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 11:07 PM PST First of all Bungie: Thanks for listening to the community and upping Breaknecks Ramapge damage. It's been a constant request since its nerf. Similiar though you nerfed Redrix' Broadsword but just a lot worse (I think our boy Aztecross said something about 20% damage loss) - But still there's nothing heard about that gun being buffed or made somewhat viable again. Why? That pulse was never really meta, but yet it was nerfed to the ground with the patch.... edit: some spelling and formatting.... [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Jan 2020 07:33 PM PST I play with a controller on PC (I know, sue me) and it is honestly frustrating to only be able to use a handful of presets when playing the game instead of just being able to outright bind my controller buttons to whatever I want it to be. Bungie allowed the Keyboarders to key bind completely however they want it, so I don't see why controllers can't also have the titanfall 2 treatment in fully customizing our controller key binds, I've even tried using steam's controller configs and destiny is literally the only game that doesn't support it. There is literally no reason as to why controller users should not be able to customize completely their controls. For the love of the traveler bungie, at least let me use steam's controller configs.
