Destiny’s plot from Forsaken to today, explained for people who don’t follow the lore. Posted: 09 Feb 2020 07:25 PM PST
(Disclaimer: I wrote this as a joke, but also for like..."In case anyone asks" situations. I tried to cover the basics but am very aware the plot is far more complex than my explanation. Please do not take seriously. [link] [comments] |
The old Tower should be rebuilt into a clan social space. Posted: 09 Feb 2020 11:33 AM PST It would be neat to have a dedicated space for clan members to group up and have their own instance. I would also like to see the addition of clan vendors where members deposit material as a group effort to rank them up to be able to earn new symbols for your clan flag, flag staffs, boosts/buffs, and clan acquired armor ornaments. Posted: 09 Feb 2020 02:46 PM PST I get worried because the armour, weapons and locations of the nine related activities are probably my favourite in the entire game. So unbelievably cool. The lore part of season of the drifter was also amazing... but it was widely considered a poor season. I just hope bungie don't read into this all wrong. I hope they still do so much more with the nine and their locations. [link] [comments] |
Tower Loading is So Long Because It's Batch Loading Players Since the Update Instead of Solo Loading Posted: 09 Feb 2020 04:52 AM PST When they changed the "no more black screen" issue for activities by not loading people in until everyone was ready, it changed the tower loading, if you pay attention, we're not loading in per player like we used to, we're loading in in batches This means we're all waiting in the load screen until the slowest person is ready. Watch the radar and listen to the audio and you'll see now that when you load in you get dumped in with 5-10 other players at the exact same time Footage here. Turn on sound and watch the radar: https://imgur.com/a/Cl1A70c I'm hitting over 6 minute tower load times now. EDIT: I'm on PS4 (ssd) [link] [comments] |

Bungie: Now we know that trials is on its way back, please don’t allow the artifact to be enabled. Posted: 09 Feb 2020 01:11 PM PST It's annoying in the crucible as is, but for the pinnacle competitive endgame activity, it would be laughable if it was used in it (I.e void/arc battery). Keep PvP and PvE separate in this regard. Please. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Feb 2020 08:09 AM PST I am here to show you the truth about Mara's secret Sov-Dungeon Behold! Sexy Skolas... and Alternative Version... Now you know what kind of prisoners Mara had... [link] [comments] |
Aztecross made a really good video critiquing the difficulties with Armor 2.0 Posted: 09 Feb 2020 05:23 PM PST While the video's title is on the new 'Charged with Light' mods, it really extends to the frustrations in the Armor 2.0 system. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Feb 2020 08:18 AM PST That's all. I love the game and I'll always play it. But I'm getting tired of being alone in VC while in pvp or struggling to get a raid together. Games just aren't as fun alone. Please let season 10 be good Bungie, please? [link] [comments] |
[ART] Warlock in The Black Garden Posted: 09 Feb 2020 12:50 PM PST https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EQVKLCjX0AA4ECn.jpg Made this a while ago. still low key trying to get that emblem Thanks for looking r/destinythegame ~ Spyke out Edit: Nevermind it was approved on the Community Creations [link] [comments] |
Vault Your Polarized Fractaline While Spamming Light-Fused Fractaline At Obelisks Posted: 09 Feb 2020 10:12 AM PST It saves you from that annoying second or so where the turn in buttons are in the wrong order and puts the Light-Fused Fractaline button in the same spot as the collect Engram button. Stop playing Crucible if you’re going to complain about whether something is skillful or not Posted: 09 Feb 2020 04:19 PM PST A floating ball resurrected you as a dancing zombie wielding paracausal energy who spends most of its time fighting reality bending cum piloting a robot, genocidal space pirates, undead genocidal space pirates, pyramid scheme cockroaches, and the rhino turtle Roman Empire. The Crucible is where a one horned masked sexual guru has repeated orgasms when you indiscriminately obliterate your brothers and sisters in arms because he wants to make sure that we never get slapped up like when the cockroach prince gave guardians an RKO outta nowhere on the moon. Go complete a master nightmare hunt, master nightfall, and raid using double primaries and a sword. Because you like being skillful right??? NO! The Crucible is where we prepare to face the darkness. Deploy the shotguns, fire the Jotunns, and deploy the meta. Why? Because when darkness is on our door and the Doom Doritos come to kill us all....... We'll be ready. [link] [comments] |
vault space needs to be increased Posted: 09 Feb 2020 04:21 PM PST due to the ever increasing amount of weapons and armor, and on top of that seasonal armor and weapons, i think vault space needs an increase. this has been done before for the same or similar reasons back in year 1, but since the launch of forsaken, it hasnt changed from 500. i think a lot of people agree that it needs an increase. i personally like to keep weapons/armor that i either cant get anymore, have sentimental value, or have god rolls. for a long while ive had problems with vault space, which is generally always close to 500. Anyone else feel like Shadowkeep was over so quick you gloss over it yourself? Posted: 09 Feb 2020 11:10 AM PST Every time I think of it, I sort it mentally as Forsaken -> Forsaken Pass -> Y3 Pass, thinking more about Undying. Makes me sad. I was really hyped for it beforehand, and The Moon is still my favorite patrol in 2 for the atmosphere. It just feels so weird and out of place with the story. [link] [comments] |
I got bored in Calc class, so I decided to make the Destiny Tricorne Logo from memory :) Posted: 09 Feb 2020 03:28 PM PST |
Why is it so stupidly hard to grind for good rolls of world drop weapons? Posted: 09 Feb 2020 08:36 AM PST You know, weapons like the Y3 Uriels, Y3 Last hope, Duke, Badlander, Go figure etc. The weapons that have no specified drop source but are dropped in the random legendary engrams, those weapons. The problem There's a lot of potentially really good/fun weapons in there but currently the main way to "grind" for them is to just buy legendary engrams from Rahool... but those engrams cost 25 shards a piece and have dozens of different things in the loot pool. For instance, I just spent over 1k shards on the engrams and didn't get a single Uriel's gift, which was the thing I was looking for. The solution A good solution for this would be to simply change the way rahool sells his engrams. Instead of one engram with everything in it, why not just have him sell different engrams for armor, kinetic weapons, energy weapons, and heavy weapons? This would give players a more feasible path to grind a specific world drop item instead of wasting thousands of shards and not getting a single good thing from the massive loot pool. Just some thoughts. I just want a good Uriels gift, man. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Feb 2020 08:03 PM PST Was doing the Lumina quests and got to the final quest step: I went in blind, hoping I could figure it out myself, and was joined by two other players. Surprise, Surprise, we get to Xol and the player with Lumina begins shooting at me, and shooting at where the Hive crystals are located, guiding me along. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Feb 2020 06:19 PM PST I'm a little late to the party, but I've started grinding forge weapons. The process of getting one weapon takes quite a lot longer than most of the available weapons, with exceptions, of course cough reckoning cough. What if we could do frames in bulk? Maybe make it so that the first one is purchased with a schematic, as it's a powerful frame, and the next two or three or however many Bungie feels likes giving out are just regular ole frames purchased with modulus reports. Just a thought. It wouldn't make getting the weapons easier, but it would give the option to do multiple at once. I just want a good Kindled Orchid... [link] [comments] |
After sharding all my pants, I think bungie is full of it. Posted: 09 Feb 2020 10:09 AM PST While I disapprove of grinding armor over weapons, the are still plenty of weapons to grind for. Bungie's claim that you can get high rolled armor from regular world drops is just a misleadingly low chance or bull crap. I have had several hundreds of righteous armor this season and this season's armor is especially bad. It is very clear the only way to get a set of this season's armor with rolls over 60 is to get them from the season pass. Bungie if you are going to make such dumb requirements for armor, need to get new armor each season then make it more likely to have remotely acceptable rolls please. Until then I guess I will keep having to shard my pants and other armor drops. [link] [comments] |
I got all my obelisks to rank 69, while at Season rank 69, and 969 power. Nice Posted: 09 Feb 2020 11:01 AM PST So after taking a break from Season of the Dawn, i came back for the sole purpose of getting my obelisks to rank 69 for the Empyrean Restoration. I did some hard core calculations to see how many materials i would need in order to do this, along with how many i would need to purchase all the glimmer to complete nearly 1900 bounties from the total fractaline i would generate, assuming the event stays active for 5 weeks. This sounds like rambling even to me right now, so here is my glorious collection of screenshots. http://imgur.com/gallery/2ePjELA Nice [link] [comments] |
Shield Disorient should proc when breaking shields of any type, not just the matched type. Posted: 09 Feb 2020 08:01 PM PST The perk is already weak. Having to match shield types makes it a weak perk that is rarely used. [link] [comments] |
Got the feeling we might need a priority system on the postmaster Posted: 09 Feb 2020 01:01 PM PST Because I was spamming the consumable to level up obelisks and these 2 items got replaced by 2 useless armor pieces because I forgot to clear it :) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Feb 2020 11:12 PM PST Ok so with Shadowkeep's marketing, Bungie said repeatedly that the story of Shadowkeep would be a basis that all of the following seasons would get insane around. As you know if you played Shadowkeep, we found a active Darkness ship and had our very first interaction with The Darkness itself. Thing is... none of the seasonal content has followed up on that, barring some lore tidbits. All we got in any ways relating to The Darkness was the Undying Mind reaction to it, and when we killed that a single lore tidbit about how the futures of the Forest changed to The Darkness winning. Maybe some whispers in the timeline that the Psion sisters could hear, but that is tenuous at best. What we HAVE done instead is kill The Undying Mind, Save Saint 14, Kill people fucking with the timeline, and maybe bring back Trials Of Osiris. All great feats, all pretty crazy stuff, and some of them even fun. (We NEED those 2 Saint Missions at least to stay Bungie!) But... well, they don't really tie into the coming Darkness, at least as far a I can see and barring a few tidbits of lore that are not even in game. Now I'm not expecting a full on Darkness invasion or anything... but I don't know, I WAS expecting more of a tie in to it. [link] [comments] |
Can we have Exotic Subclass Class Items return? Posted: 09 Feb 2020 12:07 PM PST Back in D1 one of the pre-order bonuses for The Taken King was a set of Exotic class items commemorating the new Sunbreaker, Nightstalker, and Stormcaller. They were special in that they all had different effects. The Hunter cloak would glow bright purple, the Warlock bond had lightning chaining around it, and the Titan mark had a Hammer of Sol hilted, ready to be thrown at someone's face. I think it would be really awesome to see a return of Exotic class items as mastery badges. Titles and seals are great to show our accomplishments, but it would be great to show off our mastery and dominance with a Subclass. Each Class Item would have a memento of the Subclass attached to it. The Nightstalker would have the Void Bow slung around the Hunter's chest. The Arcstrider would have the Arc Staff slung, and the Gunslinger would have the Golden Gun holstered at their hip, overriding any Hand Cannon or Sidearm equipped. Sunbreakers would have their Hammer of Sol back hilted at their hip like before. Sentinels would have the shield on their back. Strikers would have their fists electrified. Stormcallers would have their lightning return to surround the bond and occasionally arc to nearby objects. Dawnblades would have their sword sheathed at their hip. Voidwalkers would have their entire left arm engulfed in Void energy. Whenever equipped, the subclass you have the most kills on will activate a Solar, Arc, or Void Aura at your head to show off what subclass you are most skilled with, while the character you have the most kills on would see an even greater effect granted to that Aura. The only worry then is the class item's elemental affinity. Being a Life Exotic, it should have a neutral affinity, allowing for any element of mod to be slotted in, but not able to mix them. If you have Fusion Rifle scavenger equipped, you can't then also equip Shotgun scavenger as well. The acquisition for these would ideally be after completing a Subclass's triumphs and scoring over 150,000 kills with that Subclass. They should be relatively simple to get, but not a cakewalk. These class items should be for people to show off who their best character is, and what abilities they can utilize to the highest degree. [link] [comments] |
