    Nightfall - The Ordeal: Exodus Crash

    Why am I not surprised these exotic trials ornaments are eververse items and not flawless rewards?

    Edit: This sort of blew up, no way I can respond to the hundreds of comments here.

    I get that this is a rehashing of a years old complaint about the Eververse store - it seems many of you agree and still feel that way about the store. I also understand however, that these ornaments are how Bungie develops new content down the road and it is required for them to continue to improve the game we all love - I get that, I really do. I also hear you when you say "well don't buy them", that's fine - but they look amazing, we should all be able to earn these cosmetics through playing not paying, perhaps a joint avenue to earn them through in game achievements would be a possible hybrid solution.

    What is most disappointing and jarring about these trials themed ornaments is that they relate to a game mode that people have craved for so long. So long. Now it comes back and some of the best looking cosmetics they've developed in a while, themed around that game mode are "pay for" rather than "play for".

    I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.

    An exotic quest with bounty like objectives isn't fun

    I don't want to "kill cabal or complete public events on mars" to get an exotic. These tedious and unimaginative exotic quests are old. Quests don't have to be long, they have to be creative. Stop with these types of quests already. They are tedious and boring just like most of the game.

    Sooo... 4th horseman perk is kinda funky ATM... and I may know why

    READ THE EDIT, ANOTHER EXPLANATION APPEARED AND IT DEBUNKS THIS GLTCH I PROPOSED

    The perk broadside states that every shot of this weapon fired in quick sucession deals bonus damage... the issue is that sometimes the extra damage stops increasing after the first shot, making this perk kinda useless since it only works for one shot,with about 20% buff

    The thing is, I tested the weapon in the tribute hall, and notice a pattern

    Appanretly the buff the perk gives is 20-21% for each shot, so if you have the catalyst it will do 84% more damage on the last shot... But it rarely procs like that, as I said, stoping mostly at aroud 20-21%... But then I noticed a pattern to when the perk was actually proccing, and when it wasnt

    What I found is that when aiming the weapon if your sights is not pointed dirrectly at the enemys crit that shot wont proc the Broadside perk, past the first 20%

    I have a video following showing me aiming at the body and gettiny 908 and 1092 (~20% buff), and then aiming at the head, gettiny numbers such as 908, 1092, 1279, 1480 and 1696 (20%41% 62% 84% )

    So yeah the perk is actually glitched... which is a shame, this weapon does some nasty damage with the proper perk procing and the catalyst

    So pls Bungie fix this

    BIG EDIT: So apperently the issue was not damage, but simply the game cant register those many pellets at the same time, so when I unload the weapon to the body 24 pellets hit and the other 36 hit, but dont show up bc the engine is busted.... Aiming at the crit spot only allowed some higher damage pellets to be seen bc some pellets were being added into a single big crit number, allowing the game to show more and more pellets... this makes a Lot of sense

    THERE IS NO GLITCH WITH 4TH HORSEMEN!!!

    The step I'm currently on requires you to complete the legendary lost sector "Quarry" which isn't available today, but will be tomorrow or the day after.

    Edit: posted this as a quick reminder before I had to go. Didn't expect this to blow up. Cozmo has addressed this problem and it should be the CORRECT Lost sector for today and tomorrow, thanks for letting us know, Cozmo!

    With the decrease in the number of raids coming out, putting the pinnacle raid of the week on a rotation is needed more than ever.

    I know this has been mentioned by others before, but I don't think it has gotten the attention it deserves. Since October now, garden has been the only raid dropping pinnacle gear. Don't get me wrong its a great raid, but doing it week after week gets stale. I would not be surprised if the next raid drops in the next big expansion this September/October, so there is still a ways to go. To fix this, it would be nice to have a different raid each week be the raid that drops pinnacle gear, this gives me variety, and puts old content to use. One other thing that may need to be done is having the three leviathan raids get their weapons updated to random rolls to make the loot a little more exciting.

    Note: During seasons in which there is a new raid, I don't think there should be a rotation, and the new raid should be pinnacle each week to give people time to enjoy and learn the raid. But in seasons which no new raid is introduced is where I believe this cycle would greatly benefit the game.

    Please just add a champion mod slot on every gun

    In addition to your regular mod you can use a champion mod on every gun. You can make it really expensive to fit a gun with a permanent champion mod or simply lock the champion mod for every activity so you can't change it during, but please stop making me use a sidearm if I want to take on an overload champion for example. Exotics being able to equip every champion mod would already be a huge improvement. Currently I'm forced to use a small amount of weapons for every other activity that uses champions. It's really limiting your play style in my opinion. .

    The exodus crash nightfall doesn't even have enough adds to make it to 100k on legend, GG's bungie.

    For comparison, last week's NF 100k was doable in HERO. The strike in its entirety doesn't have enough enemies to make it to 100k on the 1000 power level difficulty. This is why everyone hates this strike. And one of the areas that actually REQUIRES to kill shit doesn't give score for it cause it disables the score in that certain part. My team played it very famably, waiting for every enemy before going to the next part. And killing ads first before damaging boss. Only got to 95k unfortunately and gave up. Funnily enough one time the boss fell off the map by itself and ruined the run.

    Edit: it's doable if u delay the ghost hack in the half section and u only damage the boss enough to spawn more ads before damaging again. Still my biggest gripe is that the score disables in an area that u do need to kill ads, if that wasn't a thing 100k would be mindless.

    2nd edit: I think I got called out by gladd on Twitter lol. Yes this post is now useless now that the whole delay the ghost scan is the Strat to get to 100k, but I still think it's bs to have to jump through this hoop when it's easier to get 100k in pretty much every other strike that is in the game, call me whatever but playing the system to get that extra score just doesn't feel the way that it was intended to be.

    If 4th Horseman was stolen by a calus shadow, one of the quest steps could have been to explore the leviathan or something more imaginative than doing public events

    It's like no one at Bungie thinks about this quests at all they just create the weapon and puts it behind a ton of old and boring content.

    Interesting callback to the tower PA system from D1

    Doomfang’s are broken (again)

    Title says the short story. So last season there was a bug with doomfangs where while in your super, melee super kills would regen super energy instead of just the shield throw hits. Bungie fixed it this season but now the exotic perk where 'Void melee kills give Super energy' doesn't work, and I've tested this multiple times on the different subclasses. Any fully charged void melee kill does not give any more super energy then a normal melee kill does. These are one of my favorite exotics on titans for PvE and I had a fun time with them while they were broken and I'm ok with them being what they're supposed to be. I'm just not ok with their exotic perk being a detriment and only useful while in their super. Bungie if you could look into this and fix it it'd be appreciated

    Destiny’s Prep (AKA “Go grab bounties before you play or suffer.”) would be significantly less painful if bounties didn’t expire.

    Title. Like what's even the point? Sure, limits on what you can pick up are fine. By why make them expire? I used to have a routine in D1, if I wasn't able to play or only had a few minutes, I'd just grab some bounties and log out. And stack em with the next days rotation. Is that so bad?

    I dunno man. I feel as though bounties wouldn't be so frowned upon if they weren't on such time limits. Maybe the Weeklys sure. But just let Daily's sit for as long as we need.

    Bungie, it would be nice to get more than one exotic catalyst per season. By my count there are 24 exotics that still don’t have a catalyst.

    This seasonal has finally killed my drive for destiny

    I'm not hating on the current season, or on people who are enjoying. I love the fact that trials is back, but this live service/fomo model has killed my enjoyment of the game.

    For the first time ever in destiny 1 or destiny 2 I have not touched the new season/dlc since it has come out. I can't hype myself up for another season of do this or you won't be able to get/ do it again for a long long time.

    Ive stuck with destiny through it's worst periods, even when all my friends and clan wouldn't. But I can't do it any longer.

    Live service is such a bad model for a game. We should be lining up to play content that is repeatable and fun to repeat rather than doing something that feels like a chore.

    I miss the days there was a story behind each of the dlc's we had such good moments with crota, omnigul, Skolas, oryx, Siva, the plaguelands, the dreadnaught, I could keep going on. This model is not a viable way to keep an active player base in destiny and it will all come crashing down sooner rather than later.

    I would rather pay 20-50 euros on dlc for destiny and actually get meaningful content rather than oh well it only cost a tenner so we will only but the bare minimum for what might meet the criteria. And don't even get me started on the emphasis that is being put on eververse.

    Destiny will forever hold a place in my heart, bringing me many meaningful and fun memories. But this current model has killed my desire to keep playing.

    Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

    What's the point of Black Talon catalyst if by the time you successfully proc it your damaged will be significantly reduced because you've wasted your sword energy?

    To get the Forth Horseman catalyst you DO NOT need to open the encrypted chest after the Seraph Lost Sectors or Seraph Public Events. It will drop from the normal chest.

    No need to waste your Encrypted Warmind Bits if you don't want too. I farmed the Lost Sector and had it drop from the normal chest about the 6th run. Others have confirmed that the normal chest on the Public Event also drops the catalyst.
