The awkward trip to the tower after an LFG raid is the equivalent of trying to leave after having sex with a stranger at their apartment

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 08:31 PM PDT

Someone will always inevitably ask "anyone up for some crucible" which basically means "you want to stay and cuddle"

I love the rush after beating a raid but man do I feel weird 2 minutes later as we're just lollygagging laps around the tower and I secretly just want to GTFO into my own tower session

Yo Bungo, can you have the person who designed the catalyst for Trinity Ghoul also make the catalyst for Le Monarque. K thanks

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 08:59 AM PDT

I wouldn't even mind if the catalyst is a copy and paste. Call it "Venomous Wings". "Kills with this weapon guarantee the next arrow is poisonous". Could negate the need to always have a perfect draw.

Or maybe "Monarch's Decree", "Precision hits cause all arrows to become poisonous for the next 5 seconds.". This would let it lean more into single target damage as opposed to Trinity Ghoul's ad clear ability.

I'm just spitballing here. I like bows, they're cool.

If Faction Rallies aren’t coming back, can we at least get the Faction Vendors to sell their armor/weapons and maybe have bounties that allow us to earn their Y1 ornaments?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 04:51 PM PDT

Would be nice to have a reason to visit them again and while the game is currently running on Bounty Simulator 2.0, would be nice to at least get bounties from the Faction Vendors that help us earn rewards, even cosmetic ones.

Also, their bounties can be more specific to the vendors like, "get kills with this faction weapon" or "while wearing at least one piece of faction armor".

I suppose that pledging to them would be put off eh question... because Bungie logic... but just open them up and let us grind for more cosmetics.

As of now, you can get some faction vendor loot to drop from the general world but it's sucks that there's no current way to guarantee any specific drops. Let us grind for the weapon and armor we want.

In the future, I think it would be good for tower vendors to have separate loot pools again.

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 10:47 AM PDT

Let's acknowledge some of the good changes this season first regarding legendary engram loot. The loot pool has been expanded, allowing players who may not enjoy activities like Reckoning or Gambit to acquire weapons like Gnawing Hunger and Night Watch. Additionally, gear from older seasons has been reintroduced in the game, allowing more players who may not have played during previous seasons to get the gear they missed out on.

While these pieces of gear can easily be farmed with Umbral Engrams, other weapons like Dire Promise or armor like Faction gear is much more difficult to attain since the loot pool is so large.

I have been trying to fill out my Collections with gear that I never got and trying to get specific drops, that don't come from Umbral Engrams, has been a rough experience. It is unbelievably difficult to target specific loot when the loot pool of legendary engrams is so large and vast.

A solution that I think would be good would be to allow all tower vendors to have their own specific loot from increasing your reputation with them. Zavala would only give you Long Shadow, Main Ingredient, Last Dance, and other Vanguard related gear. Likewise, Shaxx would give you Last Perdition, Steel Sybil, and other Crucible related gear. Banshee would sell weapons like Dire Promise or Nature of the Beast.

What would make this change even more beneficial to players would be the return of weapon and armor reward engrams from vendors, allowing players to choose whether they want a weapon or armor reward (like what Destiny 1 had).

I think this could also lead to Factions making a subtle return, allowing us to exchange our legendary shards to purchase faction engrams from them that contain old Faction weapons and Faction armor and Faction please Bungie faction armor is good for my fashion.

    Thank you~~

Outside of Xenophage, Heavy MGs Need to be PvE Buffed

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 05:27 PM PDT

I am still confused as to why all the MGs got nerfed in the first place. Even with vorpal and damage increase mods they are still too weak to be viable in PvE. Bungie, rebuff MGs outside of Xenophage so they are viable again.

Bungie, we're missing an Arc Exotic Fusion Rifle. Plan-C is waiting. And, get this, since we're losing Loaded Question, have Plan-C's Catalyst give it, RESERVOIR BURST!

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 01:13 PM PDT

Right? Solid way to Upgrade Plan C, make it's catalyst useful and retain a decent pinnacle perk!

Un-Nerfed Back-Up Plan "Plan-C" and Reservoir Burst, I think that's a solid compromise for losing a quest pinnacle that was a favorite and not game breaking.

Towerthought: The funniest thing about the delay is the fact that the Pyramids have been forced to delay their conquest/destruction of other planets due to it.

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 08:20 PM PDT

The Darkness: Yes, soon Io, Mercury, Titan and Mars will be ours! We shall terraform them to our desire and-

Pyramids: Uhhhhh... we got a call from The Architects.

The Darkness: What do you mean "we got a call from The Architects?"

Pyramids: They just kinda telepathicly contacted us. They said something about how they need more time to perfect all the changes to reality or something.

The Darkness: ...Did you tell them this kinda screws our plans over?

Pyramids: Certainly, they said "We don't care, get with the program or get nuked out the sky."

The Darkness: UGH, FINE! Turn down the terraforming machines by 30% then. That should give them the time they need. I meanwhile will go about thinking how best I can use this extra time. Maybe I can convince that Eris person the delay was all part of the plan to intimidate them or something.

Bring back The Nine's weapons & shaders when Prophecy returns

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 12:09 PM PDT

Don't get me wrong: I love the dungeon. It's fun to play, super cool environments, and the armor is very cool.
However, the weapon rewards leave a bunch to be desired, both just in terms of how good the actual rolls are, but also conceptually.
While I'm not opposed to reissuing itself (when weapon availability/perks change significantly) these aren't exactly weapons a lot of people were excited for, nor were ones that actually fit the Nine at all.
Hoosegow, Negative Space, and Widow's Bite are just... bad drops.
Hoosegow is a rocket launcher, and has no new perks (while Shining Sphere just got reissued), Negative Space is a completely normal, dull sword in the age of Falling Guillotine and Temptation's Hook, whileWidow's Bite is pretty inferior perk-wise to IKELOS SR 1.0.2, which is in the same archetype.
Basically, all of them are completely outclassed by new items in this season. and those new items are both better and easier to get.
Death Adder & new IKELOS SG are nice though.

For next time, a return of the Nine's weapons and their shaders would be the perfect new rewards.

They have very cool and unique looks, are conceptually VERY well fitting to the dungeon, and cover many archetypes.
Shaders as a special reward (or just found on the weapons themselves) would be perfect too, since I love collecting shaders.
Plus, Trials of the Nine was something a lot of people simply weren't around for.

We just beat the corrupted with 104,000+ points and by the time the chest spawned it was 99,800 and we didn't get the pinnacle gear. Fireteam rage quits. "What a stupid fucking game." Now I'm playing alone.

Bungie should introduce another 'trio' of exotics like the three swords from The Taken King

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 09:27 AM PDT

The introduction of swords into destiny was highlighted by the 'big three.' Raze Lighter, Dark Drinker, and Bolt Caster. These were awesome, powerful, and unique weapons that player could pursue. Given how the quest functioned, you could only get one at a time and it was a pretty time consuming set of objectives, so your choice on which one to go for was pretty important.

It's no doubt players pride themselves on their loadouts. Some opt for more obscure, less-used weapons for the sake of feeling unique, others use difficult to obtain weapons to show off their dedication, others will use whatever's meta because they just like to get shit done, and a dedicated few will use weapons to rep their faction or complete a cosplay. Introducing the 3 elemental exotic swords gave players a choice to further develop their own personal arsenal as a reflection of that they like, be it how a weapon functions or their preferred element. You could compare it to something like choosing a starter in pokemon. It defines your preferences and gives you something to discuss/debate/argue with other players about their choices. Ultimately, I just thinks it's a great way for player to obtain effective, unique weapons while being able to express themselves. It'd be neat to see a different weapon type be given this treatment and the possibilities are near limitless.

You can pass the orbs to your teammates and keep dropping them by switching weapons to make a "snowball" pile in the Corrupted strike. They last indefinitely and can be used to clear adds as well.

Ideally do this before you start the elevator. Hope this helps you guardians out there going for conqueror this season.

MIDA multi tool is in a sad spot. What if MIDA multi tool and mini tool were the same weapon?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 01:42 PM PDT

Basically what I'm suggesting here is to have MIDA multi tool hold reload to change into a lightweight frame SMG.

Like how Cerberus+1 transforms into a close range shotgun when you hold reload.

Fire mode switching fits the whole "multi tool" name, and would give it some functionality other than just being a lightweight frame scout rifle that has the knucklehead radar perk on it. It's just not very exotic in the sense it's not very unique.

Giving it it's original mag size of 21 back would be a good thing too...

And the catalyst being something other than outlaw... MIDA does not need outlaw because it's reload speed is almost maximum...

If it was moving target it would make sense thematically for the weapon and also add to it's strafing capabilities.

Either way... This gun is iconic to Destiny and really needs to be more unique in functionality. It's currently not a "multi tool" at all.

The Umbral Engram system is great and should be incorporated into all vendors

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 07:21 PM PDT

Umbral Engrams have made this game feel properly rewarding for the first time ever imo. No longer do I need to grind strikes or crucible matches in hopes of getting the season pass weapons to drop, no longer do I need to waste time completing weapon bounties in an already bounty-heavy game. I can play whatever activity I want and at the end of the day I have 5+ engrams that I can choose what they have inside. It's still RNG but at least it's a 20-50% chance instead of like a 3% chance.

The only problem with this system is the lack of utilization. Imagine if every vendor had their own specific Umbrals, with vendor-specific drops in them. Especially in Trials and Iron banner, this would eliminate the agony of grinding out tokens just to not get the gun or armor piece you want. Tokens instead should be what you use to focus the engrams.

Umbral Engrams have a lot of potential and Bungie needs to realize that.

Skyburner's Oath. Remember it? One of the most underused Exotics along side Aeons. Now imagine if Skyburner's had, let's say, Barrier rounds intrinsically. What Barrier shields?!

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 05:42 PM PDT

And for Aeons, man, just make them an Exotic ornament for Gauntlets because I love the way they look.

    Or,

Buff them to add champion properties to Kinetic weapons saving the weapon mod slot for Major/Back-Up Mag etc etc.

Titans get Unstoppable Hunters get Barrier Warlocks get Overload

    Or a mixture.

I just don't see what else can be done with Aeons.

A 'hero-shooter' styled selection system would be a small change to Gambit that could change the direction of the mode for the better!

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 05:14 PM PDT

The Gambit Prime armor sets are widely thought of to be one of the most innovative armor sets in Destiny 2 given the relevance they have to the game mode and the benefits that a full (or even partial) set can reap.

The current armor sets acquirable from Reckoning to build a Gambit Prime set are:

    - Collector

    - Invader

    - Reaper

    - Sentry

Changing the system to instead allow users to select a "class" when in a Gambit match that rewards the player with all of the perks that would come with a complete set would take a level of depth in the game mode and make it more accessible to the player base.

This is especially important in consideration of the recent transfer from perk based armor sets to slotable armor. In addition to the customization and mods that you can apply to your own armor, being able to select a "gambit-class" empowers each player with a role (presumably these roles would be highlighted at the selection screen).

This methodology is often used in hero shooters and role playing games, it seems logical to enable a system in Gambit where ease and accessibility is paramount. Fleshing these Gambit classes out and giving them as an option seems naturally more appealing!

There are, of course, other changes to Gambit that would be beneficial to the game mode overall. More modes, maps, and mechanic diversity are all great examples of changes that I (hope) Bungie plans to make in the future.

This mode feels like it is best suited for Destiny, yet at the moment, it is one of the least fleshed out activities. Gambit is often seen as a detractor from other content, rather than an additional activity that people love to play. I myself am not a fan of its current state, but it holds a ton of potential (as does a lot of other things in Destiny :) !)

tldr: Hero Styled selection system for Gambit drawn from the Gambit Prime / Reckoning armor sets
