- Was asked to draw Eris when her raid team failed in the Hellmouth and no one made it out except her and that event changed her forever. I present you the Fall of Eris, Art by me.
- Can we put the Dreaming City in the flashpoint rotation now that it has no powerful rewards?
- In case you're still recovering....
- Just go my ass kicked by a team of 880 light guardians wearing Uldren masks in trials
- I'm calling it right now. Destiny will end without any semblance of a satisfying ending and we'll be left in the dust with the gaming potential of the best story never told, as a result.
- Half way into year 3, its clear the game needs a bigger investment from bungie (more developers) in order to be successful
- Raid weapons don't necessarily have to be best in class, but they should certainly be unique
- Just a quick shoutout to all the other Drifters out there (lonely/rogue guardians) who have no one to play trials with or anything for that matter, just know you’re not alone, well at least spiritually
- The PvE DPS/Damage spreadsheet has been updated for Season of the Worthy!
- If trials of the nine is never coming back, I would LOVE to see the weapons implemented hand in hand with TOO via bounties from Xur. Not the adept weapons but the normal trials of the nine weapons. It would be such a great addition.
- Bungie, I BEG YOU, if you ever plan to bring Gjallarhorn back...
- Could we please stop getting rare gear so often as crucible rewards
- A "Boss" needs to be more clearly defined by Bungie for Rasputin Bunker bounties....some bosses count, others do not???
- BUG- applying weapon ornaments to the new seraph weapons stops them spawning warming cells
- It feels like Destiny is moving further and further from being an actual game
- Raid DPS in the Season of Worthy
- Do NOT Masterwork your Seventh Seraph weapons - bugged to not spawn Warmind Cells
- TowerThought: Common/Uncommon weapons are rarer than actual Rare weapons
- Garden gear is locked to Season 7, 8, and 9 for Seasonal Mods, the Raid is really losing incentive here
- We are to Saint as the Stranger was to us.
- Allow us to inspect the players from the last fireteam we were with, even after the activity ends.
- Wardcliff Coil is my favorite sidearm
- I found a very interesting article in the Destiny 2 forums
- So Bungie when my team loads into a trials game alone you decide to give us a loss?

Can we put the Dreaming City in the flashpoint rotation now that it has no powerful rewards? Posted: 16 Mar 2020 06:39 PM PDT Was just thinking about how I hadn't been to the Dreaming City in a while, and it'd be nice to have it be relevant in some way. [link] [comments] |
In case you're still recovering.... Posted: 16 Mar 2020 05:26 PM PDT Bungie has once again hit us with depressing-Cayde-lore-as-flavor-text. I had almost moved on, I was ready to accept Saint-14 as the friendly neighborhood Exo, but nooooo. It doesn't help that I just noticed the plague in front of Zavala a few weeks ago. https://www.ishtar-collective.net/entries/ns81-reprisal-sprint "Hey, hey, don't give up! Everything you ever wanted's on the other side of tomorrow." —Cayde-6 "How's the Warmind effort going?" Amanda asks, elbow deep in the guts of a jumpship. She can't see Zavala, but she knows it's him. He visits her here sometimes when things are quiet. Hands her tools. Talks about the early days of the City. Makes jabs about how he remembers when she was "yea high." "Well enough," he says. He sounds tired, but he always does now. Ever since the Red War. "We'll make it through this. We always do." "You sound like Cayde," she says, smiling. Optimistic, almost nonchalant. When Zavala doesn't say anything, she crawls out from under the ship and wipes her hands on her pants. "A lot's happened around here since then, huh?" she says, searching his face. "The Tower's seen a lot of changes. Some new faces." "Old ones, as well," Zavala says, looking over to the place where Saint-14 usually stands. Amanda nods. "Hard pill to swallow," she says softly. "That some people can come back…" "And others can't," Zavala says, almost too quiet to hear. They don't say anything. Amanda wipes at her eye with the back of her hand, leaving a streak of grease across her cheek. "You've earned a break," he says abruptly. "Maybe something to eat. Maybe…" "Ramen," she says immediately. She doesn't have to think about it. Zavala smiles, sad but warm. "My thoughts exactly." [link] [comments] |
Just go my ass kicked by a team of 880 light guardians wearing Uldren masks in trials Posted: 16 Mar 2020 10:55 AM PDT Honestly can't even complain it was pretty hilarious. Really hoping I don't end up in a YouTube video somewhere though, my pride is already in tatters. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 16 Mar 2020 08:24 AM PDT After having the best year in destiny history last year, a change in philosophy and a loss of two studios has given us one of the three worst times in destiny history (6 months into TTK, D2Y1 and now). While the philosophical changes haven't helped, Bungie has repeatedly (and correctly) called out the loss of two studios. Its probably unrealistic to think they can add THAT many developers to their studio but the crew that they have on it right now clearly cannot remotely satisfy the community with what they are able to deliver. Raid weapons don't necessarily have to be best in class, but they should certainly be unique Posted: 16 Mar 2020 07:26 AM PDT I'll use the No Feelings scout rifle, Tempered Dynamo fusion rifle (both from Scourge of the Past) and Sacred Provenance (from Garden of Salvation) as examples. Sacred Provenance is the only 4 burst pulse that can roll rapid hit and it should stay as the only one that can. No Feelings can roll box breathing which makes a 4 tap weapon a 3 tap, reminiscent of Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten, but more limited in its use. Tempered Dynamo is a precision frame fusion that can roll opening shot which greatly helps with hitting your target and bolt spread, and being that it isn't a high impact fusion is probably why you don't see it as much in PvP Of course the uniqueness of a raid weapon should not be limited to PvP but those are the most prominent examples of unique raid weapons in D2 [link] [comments] |

The PvE DPS/Damage spreadsheet has been updated for Season of the Worthy! Posted: 16 Mar 2020 01:17 PM PDT Hey! It was done a few days ago, but I'm only just now getting to making a reddit post on it - but the spreadsheet has been updated! What changed?Snipers did. Oh boy did they get changed a lot.Across the board, they were knocked down by roughly 20%. They are still one of the best special DPS options in raids (garden), as the encounters do not allow close range stuff at all. We also have to take a moment of silence for Izanagi's dominance. The headshot multiplier nerf, the blanket 20% nerf, and finally - the reload speed nerf. Izanagi's peak output was sliced practically in half. It's still the best special sniper to use for DPS amazingly - it just shows how far it was ahead. Whisper and DARCI remain top DPS picks, although other, more consistent and easier options start to run neck and neck with them. Grenade launchersBeyond the change to Aggressives (now rapid fires), these are still pretty solid picks. Adaptive GLs come out among the best for legendary DPS, with Prospector being as always - the king of dumping out damage consistently and rapidly for GLs. Wendigo, with enough orbs banked, actually surpasses it however. SwordsThese got a fair number of changes, but the actual use as Boss DPS remains the same. If the encounter allows for it, swords are extremely potent as DPS options. But the current relevant DPS targets (garden bosses) are basically invalid to use a sword on. Keep your eyes on these, and go for a strong [Whirlwind blade / Relentless Strike / Jagged Edge] sword roll incase a worthy boss comes along. Heavy attacks don't add much to your output in a DPS phase - it's actually nearly the same as just chaining lights. It does allow for moments of extremely high burst, say at the very end of a DPS phase. As such, the charge rate of your sword doesn't really matter too much with regards to DPS. Lastly, AutosNot much changed here for these in the PvE space. Still good at shredding red bars, but it's a primary - not much to say on it with regards to boss DPS. General Sandbox BalanceWith GLs brought down a peg, and Iza's + snipers in general being brought down, many other options have started to compete here. Xenophage and 1KV emerge as solid, solid picks for DPS - and are simple to use. Overall though - other than Iza's - you're top DPS picks from last season still stand as among the best. Just now, other weapons have met, or closed in, the gap. Here's the link to the spreadsheet again. Thanks for using it, and feel free to ask questions/comments on this. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Mar 2020 08:04 AM PDT Xur is always around every weekend which is the same time as trials of osiris. What I had in mind is that Xur could offer 3 bounties each weekend that are a random gun. Maybe it's the shotgun, sniper, and smg this week. I pick up the shotgun bounty and it would be something like, "Get 20 shotgun kills and get a 5 win streak in trials of osiris." This way the old trials loot could work hand in hand with TOO and would give people more of a reason to visit Xur for those random rolled trials of the nine weapons. Now I could see somebody saying that it wouldn't make sense in the story. Actually it would make perfect sense. Maybe Xur gives you some text dialogue that says something like, "The nine has been watching your progress with Saint 14. We would like to reward your progress." [link] [comments] |
Bungie, I BEG YOU, if you ever plan to bring Gjallarhorn back... Posted: 16 Mar 2020 09:05 AM PDT Please, for the love the Traveler, Cayde, Sweeper bot, Zavala's shinny head.... One of the quest steps MUST be: "Complete the Taken Blight Public Event On Heroic Difficulty" End this endless war between blueberries and the rest of the community, once and for all... Thank you. Could we please stop getting rare gear so often as crucible rewards Posted: 16 Mar 2020 12:05 PM PDT |
Posted: 16 Mar 2020 12:26 PM PDT Bungie needs to more clearly define what a "boss" is for these bounties. A "boss" should be ANY enemy that has that thick, large, yellow health bar, and a NAME. The location should not matter, either a strike or public event or lost sector, does not matter where. Today I had 2 bounties for defeating bosses from Rasputin Bunker bounties. One scorn, one vex. The scorn boss I went to the Dreaming City and did the Bay of Drowned Wishes at the landing zone. That lost sector boss counts as a scorn boss for the bounty. For the vex boss I went to Mercury to the lost sector. Defeated that boss and it did NOT count. I know this is not the only circumstance like this. There are certain lost sectors that do count and certain ones that don't for the other factions as well. [link] [comments] |
BUG- applying weapon ornaments to the new seraph weapons stops them spawning warming cells Posted: 16 Mar 2020 06:11 PM PDT The weapon ornament from season pass level 88 and 95 for the Seventh seraph VU-7 sub machine gun and the Seventh seraph CQC-12 shot gun stop these weapons spawning the orange bombs ( warming cells) when used in combination with a global reach mod. I've done a lot of testing and at no time could I spawn a cell with the ornaments applied. [link] [comments] |
It feels like Destiny is moving further and further from being an actual game Posted: 16 Mar 2020 03:17 PM PDT The most common remark I'm seeing on this sub and elsewhere is "there's no reason for me to do this" or something to that effect. Folks, if you need a reason to be doing something in a video game, you need to reevaluate what you're looking for out of them. There's nothing "game" about Destiny right now. Endless series of checklists and pointless bounties is all there's left. The new Legendary Lost Sectors are a perfect example of this. These are the brand newest pieces of content to the game, one of the main aspects of the season, and they are completely pointless, other than checking off one or two bounties that require their completion. Lost Sectors as a whole have been a terrible waste of resources since the very first day, now it just seems as if their inclusion in the game is to pad some artist's portfolio. It doesn't even feel like I'm playing to have fun. Every newest addition just pushes the game further away from actual fun. Excluding the obvious Eververse; Champions, the Seasonal model, Seasonal titles, the Artifact, armor affinities, Bounties, Daily Seraph clears (feels like I'm playing some shitty mobile game like Tiny Tower doing these), meaningless, meaningless upgrades. All additions that make the game less and less fun by the day. Destiny honestly just simply isn't even a game. [link] [comments] |
Raid DPS in the Season of Worthy Posted: 16 Mar 2020 09:46 AM PDT Edit: To be clear, I never claim that these are the OPTIMAL DPS strats. But rather the most consistent/easily executed strats. In terms of straight dps Izanagi + Wendigo is king, (with perfectly timed izanagi shots between Wendigo auto reloads) however this takes considerable set up and execution is difficult. Whisper is also a solid choice in nearly all cases but it's very punishing when you miss a crit. Here's a clip of optimal Izanagi+Wendigo dps for context: https://www.twitch.tv/ayyitschevy/clip/MoistTangentialElkCclamChamp?filter=clips&range=7d&sort=time Since the latest update I've been seeing alot of people both on twitter, twitch and Destiny lfg struggling with what loadouts they should be using and how to maintain a consistent DPS. I've yet to see ehroar make a video to educate people (myself included) on the DPS numbers of guns in the new patch. So I thought I'd try and help give people a few ideas on what they can expect to run to maximise their damage output with the upmost ease. I'll be going by each raid (and encounter if necessary) Bear in mind normal strats are expected such as wells and bubbles and tethers when needed.
Xenophage is being slept on which is quite surprising imo but through the 3 runs I've tried the past week within my clan we've found hunters and titans running xenophage consistently out dps whisper and izanagi/wendigo builds. This may be due to izanagi and whisper being horribly punishing for missing shots but that's to be expected in any given DPS phase. Hunters can dodge to instantly reload and titans don't have to reload with Actium war rig. We've tried using transversives on warlock for a quicker reload but with the sound/reload bug and the fact you have to run to reload, its a lot harder to get a consistent DMG output so Whisper/Izanagi + Wendigo is the better choice imo. Xenophage clip: https://youtu.be/uFSPcvxRtK4 (1 tether hunter, 5 xenos, 1 titan (using whisper because no xeno) Disclaimer: Since it apparently wasn't clear on my part, I'm suggesting that Xenophage is the easiest and most consistent DPS option in the current sandbox. Iza + Wendigo has the potential to far out dps Xeno but it's a lot harder to pull off both in terms of set up and execution; which makes it a lot less ideal for the average player.
Spire + EoW... who cares... probably whisper. I hope this will be of some help to people doing lfg's etc. I've seen GoS especially be an issue for people, a lot of talk about people ending up 4 phasing Sanctified which I found surprising. If there are any questions I'd be happy to answer. I'm hoping the formatting on this post turns out ok given I wrote this on my phone on the spur of the moment. [link] [comments] |
Do NOT Masterwork your Seventh Seraph weapons - bugged to not spawn Warmind Cells Posted: 16 Mar 2020 03:34 PM PDT [Final Edit: after more tests, I found out it wasn't the Masterwork that caused Warmind Cells to stop spawning, but actually the freaking Ornament on the weapon. Once I took the ornament off my SMG, it started working fine. I guess the ornament changes something about the weapon in the back-end. TL;DR - don't use the ornament on your Seventh Seraph weapons.]
[Edit 1: apparently Warmind Cells still spawn with the MW Carbine autorifle, but not working with the SMG in my experience] I did a bunch of testing in the Tribute Hall with 2 versions of the new SMG Seventh Seraph VY-7 (one MW'ed, and one non-MW'ed), getting hundreds of kills with each, all while wearing the same armor with the new mods. Only the non-MW'ed weapon would spawn cells (about every 4-5 kills on red/orange bars); the MW'ed weapon would never spawn cells. If you're having a different experience, please let us know. Perhaps it's only the SMG that's bugged, but I didn't want to test with other weapons and waste more MW materials. Also, could someone please include/forward this to the Bungie community managers? Not sure how to do it, but this bug needs to get fixed ASAP, since these weapons are the only way to spawn Warmind Cells outside of the Arc ability damage mod (AFAIK). PS: If this is already a known issue, my bad - I did a search on the subreddit before posting but couldn't find anything. [link] [comments] |
TowerThought: Common/Uncommon weapons are rarer than actual Rare weapons Posted: 16 Mar 2020 07:04 PM PDT But please bungie we need a auto dismantle blues setting. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Mar 2020 08:59 AM PDT I did my first Garden run thinking it would be the best way to get high stat armor that could hold Season 8, 9, and 10 mods, giving me the best of both worlds. But, Garden is capped at Dawn mods which are much less fun than Worthy mods. It seems like the only relevance the Raid has now is for Pinnacles? No shards or upgrade mats, limited Season Mods, the Raid needs an update in terms of rewards. [link] [comments] |
We are to Saint as the Stranger was to us. Posted: 16 Mar 2020 05:58 PM PDT It's funny because Destiny 1 had this running theme of time repeating itself, and although I thought that Destiny 2 didn't have this, I realized exactly why Saint's story is significant. Stranger shows up while we're fighting something, tells us to go somewhere. We go to that place, kill big monster. Stranger gives us gun. We travel back in time, help Saint fight stuff, give him gun. We save Saint again later. Saint is now alive again. In theory, if time is to repeat itself again, then we could be dead. For real, like in CoT. BUT. The Stranger has yet to return to save us. Most likely this is when the story arc for the Stranger will resolve itself, in a very distant future, or it could possibly be that the Stranger already exists, but hasn't needed to travel through time yet, and we haven't met her. Allow us to inspect the players from the last fireteam we were with, even after the activity ends. Posted: 16 Mar 2020 01:25 AM PDT Crucible, Strike, Gambit, all of them. I always like checking the gear of players with high KDA in a match, or a player who's nutso at invading in Gambit, but the activity always ends and I get booted out. Please allow us to be able to check the last roster we were with until we queue into another activity or location. [link] [comments] |

I found a very interesting article in the Destiny 2 forums Posted: 15 Mar 2020 11:55 PM PDT No, I didn't write it, but in case you had concerns or questions about Destiny 2, this article addresses a lot, imo. https://www.vice.com/en_ca/article/g5xkgw/why-destiny-2-isnt-working-and-how-to-fix-it I'm not here to argue or start arguments, please read. So Bungie when my team loads into a trials game alone you decide to give us a loss? Posted: 16 Mar 2020 11:55 AM PDT On a 5 win card and we had already lost our mercy at this point and me and my team load into a game with no enemy team. sick right, free win? Nope gave us a loss as soon as we loaded in and ruined the card. I wouldn't care except I was helping my friend with get his flawless which is annoying. [link] [comments] |
