| Bottom Tree Dawnblade is a poor excuse for a subclass. Posted: 29 Jul 2020 02:38 PM PDT If you don't have a full super, you might as well not have a subclass. This is the only subclass where you play for your super, have no way to build up to your super without mods and bad juju, and your super isnt even a must have in pvp or pve. For a melee ability you have discount sunshot wit DoT, and a small heal bump if you use your phoenix dive that is basically usless because taking damage while doing the dive cancels the heal and no matter what you are locked into a animation after casting it. By the time you get into a safe position to use phoenix dive you would already have your health and shield recovering. Thats it. Thats your entire neutral game in terms of abilities. Once you cast you super you can swipe a good 10 - 15 times if they are enough red bar adds around. but if you have to kill anything like a regular knight or a orange bar without red bars around, be prepared to only swing your sword a good 5-7 times. You also don't have the mobility top tree dawnblade does so be prepared to get really angry when you inevitably get killed as soon as you activate the super. It was nerfed with bottom tree striker because of how long the super last but unlike bottom tree dawnblade, bottom tree striker can still feel ok without its super. This subclass tree is in need of a rework akin to what top tree dawn got. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 29 Jul 2020 11:50 AM PDT And this isn't a beef with my warlock brother and sisters, i don't want nova bomb nerfed, but there isn't a good argument to be made that when you have to put yourself in danger, that your risk shouldn't be gifted with more reward. I know Thundercrash has been buffed to be better than it was, but i cannot understand why a super with more risk, less far-reaching AOE, and that doesn't have an exotic to help buff it at all, is weaker than a warlock one in done where they can go hide or continue to shoot and position and do things while their super goes off. Thundercrash NEEDS to be the most damaging super for it's risk to be worth it, or something needs to be done like giving us some seconds of stomp/damage resist after it goes off (You can even make it combatants only, i think it's good enough in PVP that it doesn't need a buff there, it just needs some PVE love. ) [link] [comments] |

It's kind of annoying to go through the whole Strike only to see that you earned Gold because you missed one Champion somewhere. It would also help so you could know if any Champions didn't count towards the counter if they despawn or are killed by the environment. [link] [comments] |
| Bungie, please fix the Merciless. Posted: 29 Jul 2020 10:27 AM PDT For the love of God. The gun hasn't had its exotic perk since before season of the Arrivals and you haven't even mentioned in months. Please fix it or at least tell us that it's impossible to fix. Edit: Okay some of you are getting pretty close to the truth here. I want Merciless back because it's a secret monster. Impetus is pre-nerf kill clip (lasting 5 seconds) with feeding frenzy and it happens to take 5 seconds to fire off the mag (if the perk was working). Throw in high energy fire and you have an absolute damage monster. Add a debuff and you have God in your pocket. Did the numbers a few weeks back but I can't be sure of them until the gun is working. Now it's pinnacle grind and Contact dialogue day. I truly enjoy the conversations were getting. This week has been especially entertaining. Allow me to paraphrase what I've heard this week.... Heroic Contact Event #1 Drifter: Good job hero hehehe.... Goes silent Drifter: Oh hey my 4 armed friend, got me some fresh dark motes just for you. Freshly baked.... Oh me? I'm gooood. Whaaat? I'm a respectable agent of the Vanguard. You know I don't ask for much. Maybe some ghost shells.... A few cores if ya got em. Hehehehe talk to ya soon buddy. Ghost: ...... Does he realize we can hear him? Yes Drifter is selling dark motes off to Spider. So when Fallen other than the ones under Eramis have Stasis, we know who to blame. It gets even better with my second run. Heroic Contact Event #2 Eris: Are.... Are their less motes than usual? Drifter: Whaaaat??? C'mon Whaaaat? Eris: Spill it rat Drifter: Hey I'll have you know my banks churns out a 42% efficiency rate! Eris: Seems low.... Drifter: Compared to what????? Eris can just feel it in her Hive eyes that Germaine is back on his bull. Can't trust a rat. Heroic Contact Event #3 Drifter: Alright hero pack it up here done here.... Oh looks like I've got a visitor. Sup cue ball. Checking on anyone in particular. Zavala: No. Report? Drifter: Doing good. Sure you're not checking up on anyone. Zavala: (Please shut up. Once the tribute hall goes away you can swing by Eris and spend like 5 fragments to drop a flag for everyone. If you accidentally have the wrong weapon on you can re-rally the same flag. | What the community wants from Beyond Light (Poll Results) Posted: 29 Jul 2020 11:38 AM PDT Hey! So a couple days ago, I posted a poll cause I was bored, and I wanted to get insight as to what the community thought about Beyond Light and the events leading up to it. Here are the results from almost 50 responses. Not entirely representative of the whole community but still a good sample size: (tl:dr at the bottom) How do you feel the most recent season as been?83% of the people said that the season was "pretty good" and there was not a single person that said it was bad. I personally missed out on this season so I can't comment on much, but from what i've seen the umbral engram system is really good and I quite like Runinous Effigy. How do you feel about the Beyond Light gameplay we've seen?Over 80% of people said that it was either amazing or pretty good. Shoutout to the one guy who thought it was dogshit. What's the most important thing Bungie gets right in this next expansion?This is where it's no longer multiple choice, so i'll share some answers that I like: "A gameplay cycle that people like" "Gun Perks" "Loot (Hawkmoon better be good)" "Make stasis balanced and bring the other classes back in line" "Don't fuck up crucible with stasis please god". What's something that you want changed from now to Year 4? Gameplay, weapons, PvP, etc.Got a few really good answers here: "I want a lot of the weird redundancy in the game removed. Streamline. Make shaders not consumable items, address blue items being pointless, etc. etc." "Less restriction on what kind of weapons you have to use in end game content. The ability and option to freely pick your own loadout for any activity." Have you preordered?13 people said no, 8 people said not yet, and 23 people said yes. (Shoutout to the one guy with the digital deluxe preorder) Why or why not?Surprisingly, a lot of people said that they haven't preordered yet due to financial reasons. There were a few people that said they were waiting to see what happened, but a good majority were just waiting for income. The people who said yes said that they have faith in Bungie that Beyond Light will be good. Do you believe any gamechanging system updates will come with Beyond Light?I originally meant this question as SYSTEM updates but a lot of people talked about Stasis so whoops. That aside, this is probably the most mixed question. It's split about 50/50 on whether something gamechanging will come. (Stasis excluded) Why or why not?"Bungie is always actively working on system improvements and they've already mentioned a new system update to the way loot is earned, hence why prophecy will be unavailable next season and reintroduced later on" "beyond light was pushed back coincidentally to when systems are planned to be released. i see some optimizations ahead on console" How do you feel about the DCV? (Destiny Content Vault)Very wide range of answers here. "I think it's a good idea to lower the game size and loading times. I'll miss a few of the things being taken away, but I think it's a mostly positive decision." "Terrible idea. Make D3 before taking guns and half the game away." "It's fine as long as they are actually able to deliver on their promises of being able to update the game more easily/quickly" I think that 3rd quote is one that i'll personally be paying attention to. How do you feel about the story?This question was meant as a prelude to what many believe to be a coherent storyline coming with the next three expansions. "The idea that stasis isn't exclusive to guardians is exciting, and I think the continuation of Eramis's story post zero hour was a good idea." "This seems to be one of the most, if not the most, important expansion in Destiny history story-wise. This is the darkness's first attack, literally choosing a race of champions to do it's bidding, just like us and the Traveler. We're literally fighting the Darkness (space Satan). The story better be good, and it seems to be shaping up that way." And then, the expected reply of: "Who cares" Are any of your favourite raids leaving into the DCV? If so, how do you feel? Do you have the associated exotic? (Tarrabah, Anarchy, etc.)Community is split 50/50 on either Scourge or Crown, which are both fantastic raids. A good majority of the people that replied have the exotic but just really like the raid. What platform are you playing on?Unexpectedly, 55% of people are on PC. Followed by 22% for Xbox and 17% for PS4. Shoutout to the one guy on Stadia. Thoughts on Hawkmoon?"Why call it Hawkmoon if it doesn't work like Hawkmoon, leave it in the past if it doesn't fit the vision of weapon balance, it's not like we need more Exotic hand cannons" "Leave it in the past. Either bring it back full power, or let it stay in Destiny 1. Same goes for all returning exotics." tl;dr A lot of people have really high hopes for this new expansion. If not high hopes, than you can call it cautious optimism. People are looking forward to stasis, new lore, new destinations, and the DCV isn't as much of a blow to the community as I thought it would be. My only hope is that being able to fly around with stasis powers doesn't trick people into thinking the expansion is good. I'm one of those players that sees exotic quests and achievements as they'll come as I play and I never go out of my way to do them. So a few weeks ago I noticed I only needed the Braytech RL and the EP weapons to complete Wayfarer and decided to just get it over with. Either fix the tree or delete it already. (Referring to Nova Warp) ————————————— Edit: Not saying spectral should get nerfed (even if I do want it but that's me being a Warlock and that wouldn't be fair.) This post is just to being attention to how lackluster Nova Warp has been compared to other roaming supers of the same caliber. I don't want anymore nerfs; I want buffs where there needs to be for all classes/subclasses. I also didn't expect this to blow up like it did on my first daily post of it.
