    Decided to join a Garden of Salvation Sherpa group to learn the raid for the first time. Our Sherpa, GhostHound_811, was a really stinking cool and chill dude. He took all of us through each encounter, explained the mechanics extremely well, and gave us all turns taking on different roles so we could understand what each group was doing mechanically. I learned a ton, and hopefully can explain it to others as well as you when I decide to do it again. If you're reading this man, thank you for being patient with a group of randoms, especially the very last fight. Took us pretty much 7 hours to complete the whole raid (no joke), but thanks for sticking through man. And same for the randoms, thanks for not leaving and being eager to learn to. Makes the raid so much more enjoyable. To all Sherpas, thanks for being patient.

    I just realized the Cold Denial uses liquid ammo similar to Omolon, yet it’s a kinetic weapon

    We should be able to trade in EAZ solstice key fragments for useful items I.E. legendary shards, enhancement cores, upgrade modules, etc.

    Name says it all, I have so many key fragments that are just going to go to waste after the solstice event ends so why not make a way where we can go to Eva and after collecting a certain amount trade them in for items like we do with Spider in the reef. Just a thought...

    Ghost design

    I'm here 'cause my boyfriend loves the game and inspired me to draw some ghosts~

    So far I designed three different kinds of shells, and I have to say the more I draw them the cuter they get!

    Now onto the shells! The links to images of them are right below every header! For everyone who is reading this post when it's a few days old, check my profile for even more ghost shell designs!

    It's summer, so why not start with some summer themes! I wanted to enjoy some beach vibes through art at least since it's been rainy the past few days and we can't go anywhere anyway. I thought a simple sun hat would do nicely for a cute ghost companion!

    Still kinda with the summer theme, I wanted to try and go for an animal inspired ghost. I thought teeth would look rad on the shell, so I went for a shark! (Also because they're my favorite animal haha)

    Notice the fish shaped light on the ghost? With the shell it looks like it's being eaten!

    I know the tail isn't perfect because it would have two tails or not be centered if it was a 3D model but I noticed it too late so I just left it at that

    This particular shell got loads of positive feedback, so I'm probably going to draw more of it later on and then also fix that error in the next image!

    Aftermath ghost shell

    After two cute and simple shells, I wanted to go overboard a bit and tried to make a dangerous looking one for a change. They're kinda inspired by those worms with circular mouths and scaly dragon tails (just more roboty, duh)

    The backstory behind the two versions of the shell is the thought that ghosts must see an awful lot of deaths while reviving their guardian over and over again The green lights turning into red ones are supposed to represent the bad memories they collect over the years. The blood stains are just there to amplify that feeling (but please wash your ghost if it gets dirty!)

    Here's also the same quote from the picture again:

    "Not even Ghosts are safe from scars. Some may not be visible, but Memories that are burned into your soul are never forgotten."

    Before anything else, to the composers of the Destiny soundtracks, I cannot thank you enough. The scores in the game are incredible and beautiful. I hope I did any kind of justice to them with these versions. Thank you.

    Being stuck in the house day after day, I really wanted to use some of my time for something productive. I wanted to push myself to make music but wasn't sure what to do. Then when I heard "Lofi beats to Super to" I got really inspired. I wondered what it would sound like if I to try and make my own original versions with different flavors. So here are 4 tracks I made :

    Hope you enjoy my fellow guardians. It was really fun to make these. Kinda kicked my ass since I don't know music theory and I can't read musical notation.

    For an interesting note, I am aware that the choirs and some of the other instruments I used are possibly a bit lower quality fidelity wise. However, they are virtual instruments made by various musicians all over the world that are stuck in their homes like most of us during the pandemic and decided to put their heart and soul into making them since they can't play for audience. I felt it was just too fitting and inspiring so I had to include them.

    Contrary to popular belief, Lightning grenades CAN harm the user

    It seems like they only hurt you in specific circumstances. It happens sometimes when as the first explosion goes off you either take damage or the grenade gets destroyed. When it does hurt you, it's always enough to kill you.

    Disproves this post, which talks about this other post in which a titan dies because they threw a lightning grenade next to themselves whilst they where taking burn damage.

    When beyond light hits, I kinda hope chromatic fire explosions on a stasis subclass prime my targets to be frozen.

    Would make my favorite warlock exotic a little more useful in PVP, as well a possibly save a ability cooldown.

    Could also just be a cool effect of a stasis weapon with dragonfly, if that perk isn't being sunset. The perk needs a buff desperately but this would give it a little utility on one elemental type.

    Solo Vorgeth with no HUD, double Banshee-44 primaries, a terrible Mos Epoch III, and no Taken mods

    In addition to all of the stuff listed in the title, I allowed myself only three armor mods: traction, primary ammo finder, and a heavy ammo finder.     Fun fact: I almost restarted after missing the tether on the first damage phase--I was going to treat this run as "practice"--but I somehow made it through four phases (would have been three if I hadn't screwed up).

    If I can make a request to Bungie: please buff rocket launchers. A lot. If you don't, please give me the option to auto-shard Mos Epoch IIIs.

    What should change on returning destinations?

    Destinations from both D1 and D2 will come out of the DCV. What, if anything, should be different about them when they come back?

    For example, there's speculation the Dreadnought will return. I think the secrets, such as chests and collectibles, should be moved around so they're not in the exact same spot. I would add some secrets to Io, maybe some lore collectibles and the like. It has a lot of empty books and crannies to take advantage of.

    Deer trivia: The Mirror Test is a famous exercise that determines whether or not an animal can recognize itself in a mirror. The test is usually done by applying a removable dye to the animal, then letting the animal wander in front of a mirror to see if it notices and tries to examine the dye (or in some cases, remove it). Sadly, deer have not managed to pass the Mirror Test.

    Just a reminder that a perk called Air Assault exists, please rework the perk

    Air Assault is a perk that says 'gain increased handling while airborne'... when has handling been an issue while airborne, the mod Icarus Grip has done everything Air Assault wanted to achieve but better, most players who have completed Scourge may of seen that they had gotten a 'Threat Level' with Air Assault and then insta-dismantled because there is no reason to keep a weapon that will underperform when there are better options, don't nerf the perks that are good, buff the less and underused perks instead.

    If I had to propose a rework for the perk, I would rework air assault to work similarly to opening shot in combination with Icarus Grip, where aerial accuracy is increased compared to when grounded, I understand that this would be horrible because no one wants flying Warlocks and jumpy hunters to be the ones flying around all the time but it's to see how a perk that dealt with positing instead of kills or crouching would work.

    How come I get to stare at a long boring ship flying screen when loading into a game, but the game can’t tell me what map I am about to play on? Before every game I scramble to put the right weapons and armor as soon as the game is starting and I find out the map.

    Two things about “The Corrupted”

    I'm sure many of you will be playing The Ordeal this week in search of Horrors Least the same as myself!

    I've come to notice two really important things about the strike. They're both kind of rants if you like but here goes.

    Firstly, it's SUPER glitchy. Firstly glitch I come across most often is Orbs sometimes won't spawn in the boss encounter if a teammate dies while carrying it. This gets even more frustrating when your teammates keep reviving you after you try to wipe. God that's annoying haha!!

    Second glitch I've had a few times is if you die after your teammates go through to the Boss part 2 (the Ascendant Realm part), you can sometimes be respawned WAY back to earlier in the strike. When you try to respawn, you get hit with a 5 second timer and "TURN BACK NOW" which you can't avoid so you're stuck in a loop while your clueless teammates get to the boss without you.

    Speaking of clueless blueberries!!

    Oh my word some people just have no idea how those orbs work on the boss. For some reason, they fly through the elevator with ease but once the boss comes around they lose all sense of intelligence and stare at the orbs going "I WoNdEr wHaT tHaT dOeS"

    I end up being the only one throwing orbs at Sedia which takes us past 15 minutes and we start losing score. So frustrating I swear

    Anyways thanks for getting this far. I hope I'm not the only one 😂

    What a TRUE ending to this season could look like:

    So I was in the shower the other day (where all great thinking is done by man) and came up with a pretty neat idea about what a decent ending to this season could be and felt I should share. So, here we go (obviously take this at face value, sadly with the delay in Beyond Light's launch, the timing of this doesn't exactly add up but it could be played off):

    We load into the Final interference mission (or perhaps with the delay, we are called back to the tree to hear some new development from Eris) and play like normal. Whether we fight Nokris in the ascendant plane or not is not really what I'm getting at here, it's what comes after and we are getting our message from the Pyramid. Zavala arrives once again to hear what Eris has to say about this new communication. Eris seems to be greatly disturbed by the message, something relating to "Now is the time", and Io begins to tremble. Eris exclaims this world is no longer safe, that we must evacuate immediately, and Zavala agrees.

    Then, suddenly, the shaking stops and a rift to the Ascendant Plane opens, and the Witch Queen herself floats through to confront us. She greets Eris as if she was an old friend and thanks her for her service (to the confusion of the Guardian, Zavala, and even Eris herself). She greets Zavala as the unknowing puppet and remarks on the plans she has for him (see traveler's chosen exotic lore) and then turns to face us. She thanks us for all the hard work we've been doing, for the attempts we've made to understand her plans, for our work in the Dreaming City, and for falling for every trap she's ever placed before us. She then turns to look up at the Pyramid, and exclaims that soon all this power shall be hers to command, as is rightfully so. Our Ghost (in typical ghost fashion) pops out and tells Savathun we will defeat her, just as we defeated Crota, Oryx, and Xol.

    She turns to our ghost in disgust and speaks ill of Crota, a boy with knowledge of nothing, of Oryx, her brother, who was so blinded by the Sword Logic he was consumed by it, and of Xol, who was so weak he could barely be called a god, and who chose to become a weapon to be wielded by someone mightier, rather then being his own master.

    Zavala, Eris, and the Guardian ready themselves for a fight, but Savathun waves her hand and shakes her head, exclaiming that we are all acutely aware that killing her here, even if it was within our power, would mean nothing, as she would simply retreat to her Throne World. The ghost chimes up saying how we killed Oryx in his, and we would do the same to her.

    Savathun Laughs.

    She looks down on us and tells us "do you truly believe you have entered my throne world of your own power? No, I have invited you, to trick you, to study you, to steal from you that which you do not know yourself." Eris exclaims that it makes sense, Savathun would craft her world that it cannot be entered by force, and that there is no way we could follow her with the knowledge we have now. Savathun turns to her, and remarks "poor Eris, lost to my plans once again. If only you knew what I had in store for this system, or the power I hope to gain from the darkness. But then again, that would be my undoing."

    Our ghost quips up "We will find a way, we always do." Savathun turns to the Guardian and the Ghost and says "Oh you poor Little Light, so weak is your connection to your traveler, so weak is your power, so empty is your future." And with a flick of her wrist the light is drained from our ghost, and he is left in a weakened state (similar to the first mission of the vanilla D2 campaign). The Guardian looks up at Savathun and exclaims "give me back my Light!" to which Savathun yells "If you want it, take it from me!"

    She then throws Eris and Zavala through an ascendant rift and the cutscene ends. We are thrown into a mission where we must fight her Hive and Taken forces, but under a constant suppression effect (our light is gone thus so is our powers). It is obvious through the fight that we are no match without our light, and things look bleak. At this point, the ghost says "this is it, this is where we make our last stand, it has been an honor fighting at your side, guardian."

    Then, suddenly, a beam of energy envelopes us from the pyramid, and our bodies begin to encase in icy crystals. The ghost exclaims how he has never felt such power, but that he can feel that we have unlocked something within us, within itself, some new element to control, and that this might be what we need to win this fight.

    The fight then is a typical constantly super recharging fight where we use whatever class we are using's stasis subclass and defeat Savathun's forces. She retreats into her Throne World, exclaiming we haven't seen the last of her and that she will be back to claim what is rightfully hers. Zavala and Eris return, and Io begins to shake once again. Without time to discuss the Guardian's newfound power (which begins to fade as their light returns), they leave Io and a shot in the background shows the planet beginning to be terraformed and changed. This marks the beginning of the exodus quest (for all planets touched by a pyramid), the end of the interference mission, and just a taste of our stasis powers.

    Near the beginning of Beyond Light, the stranger would then arrive and ask us about the power we displayed. and remark on how we will need to harness that power again if we are to defeat the forces on Europa, and sends us on a quest to discover how to truly unlock that power.

    Anyway, that's my take on what the end of the Season of Arrivals could be like and what I think from a Lore perspective would be a real treat for everyone. The Pyramids still being "Evil" and taking over the planets, while "blessing" us with it's power when in a dire position against Savathun. Let me know what you all think!

    Why are catalyst completion objectives so unimaginative?

    I know this is a minor complaint in the grand scheme but why are catalyst objectives so uninspired? Nearly every catalyst is just "kill 500-1000 enemies with this gun". These are just objectively boring and grindy. And the worst part is these are for the most interesting guns in the game. Weapons with perks unique to them that could easily make for more interesting challenges. Here is a handful I came up with in about a half hour.

    Huckleberry - Get 10 kills with this weapon without reloading 20 times.

    Hard Light - Break different types of elemental shields with the matching element. Do each type 50 times.

    Izanagi's Burden - Get 100 precision kills with having Honed Edge active.

    Eriana's Vow - Get 3 precision kills while First Glance is active without reloading, 30 times.

    Trinity Ghoul - Get 200 kills with the chain lighting damage.

    Merciless - Get 100 kills with atleast 1 stack of Conserve Momentum active.

    Coldheart - Get 50 kills after this weapon has ramped up to max damage.

    DARCI - Get 150 precision kills with Personal Assistant active.

    And here are some for weapons that dont currently have catalysts:

    Tarrabah - Get 150 kills while Ravenous Beast is active.

    Queenbreaker - Get 100 precision kills with Marksman Sights. Get 100 hipfire kills with Combat Sights.

    Le Monarque - Spread poison to 150 enemies other than your target.

    Do you see what I'm getting at here? These are significantly less grindy and also more interesting to the player. The player gets to play around the strengths of the weapon and truly master their unique functions rather than just mindless hit their head against a brick wall until its done. And these arnt even that creative. Anyone could have come up with these in the same amount of time I did. Which begs the question of why catalyst objectives are so mind numbingly boring and tedious.

    Please Bungie. Going forward atleast put in even a little bit of effort towards catalysts. They have the potential to be an engaging way to master our exotics but instead they are just another mindless grind.

    Edit: removed Sunshot cause my memory was foggy on what it was. Although it is just get kills plus something else it does have another requirement.
