| The new minimum power level will worsen the Shadowkeep campaign experience Posted: 01 Nov 2020 01:33 PM PST Beyond Light is bumping the minimum light level up to 1050, just like Shadowkeep did by making everything 750. The maximum light level for weapons such as the ones introduced in Shadowkeep will be only 1060. I feel like this is a problem as new players who are playing the Shadowkeep campaign will not be able to use any of the guns or armor they get from the Lectern of Enchantment. The Dreambane armor set is literally required to do the final mission of Shadowkeep, and that will be locked at a maximum of 1050. It isn't going to feel good for new players to receive a shiny new weapon in the Shadowkeep campaign for it to only be locked at 1060. It's also going to be confusing, cause if they have blue armor that has bumped them up to lets say 1120, then they get the Dreambane set that is locked at 1060 that they are required to use for the final mission (yes, i know that you can change the armor after entering the mission, but new players won't know that). Not to mention that it's not like you get the whole set at once. New players might get the chestpiece for example, see that it's only 1060, then dismantle it and not know why they can't enter the final mission. I don't know, I just feel like bumping the minimum power up every year like this is gonna ruin the new player experience when they try to do the past campaigns. This year's power bump is worse than last years because some weapons that will drop at 1050 only have 10 power levels before they cannot be used. Thanks for reading my rant, I just wanted to put my opinion out there and see what others think. EDIT: This post has attracted a lot of negativity and people saying "yeah fuck bungo" or "bungo doesnt care oh my god sunsetting sucks fuck you bungo" and stuff like that. That was not my intention with this post. I just wanted to bring to light a potential issue with the new minimum power cap. I don't hate Bungie for the decisions they've made with the game. | Lets talk about scatter grenade on the warlock Posted: 01 Nov 2020 04:24 PM PST Scatter grenade has been terrible since D2's launch. The only time you will ever get a kill with it or even half hit with it is when you charge it with top tree voidwalker and it tracks, but even then your opponent would have to sit in the grenade for it to do any real damage. Despite it looking cool as heck I really miss the grenade being viable in PVP since comboing it with the nothing manacles from D1 was always really fun. I think one of the major factors that has led to the downfall of this grenade since D1 is the addition of better movement abilities and an overall increase of speed of everything D2 has compared to D1 and these movement abilities have left the scatter grenade in the dust. I recommend bringing nothing manacles back and just increase their damage a bit. [link] [comments] |

It really breaks the progression we're starting to feel in the game, when the Tower is still in refugee camp status 3 years after the Red War. Not to mention it's arrogantly big, for no reason. Theres so much vancant, wasted space. I hope we get a cleaned up and revamped tower. Or with Zero Hour being vaulted, Id love to see the D1 tower fixed and become our new home. From Mars, we could've gotten things like the Frigid Jackal Sniper, Foregone Conclusion Auto Rifle, Requiem 45 Pulse, or 18 Kelvins Sidearm. Mercury's Forge Weapons should have come back in Season of Dawn with the Sundial; but now, the odds of us ever getting a random rolled Null Calamity are pretty much...null. Io might not have had much, but I for one wouldn't have minded seeing a Man'o'War Linear Fusion added back to the world loot pool. The Tone Patrol, Tango 45...you see where I'm going with this. As it stands, all we can do is pray that someday, whenever certain planets get pulled back out of the Vault, they bring along new versions of some of our old favorites. [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 01 Nov 2020 01:26 PM PST In my personal opinion, the cloaks, bonds and marks in Destiny 2 have ranged from downright awful to ok. Of course there are some exceptions like the Menagerie mark or hell the Sixth Coyote cloak. I really think we could benefit from a class item vendor, think about it without having to constantly be tied to a set of armour, bungie can freely design class items without any restriction. Now I sound like such a boomer right now, but back in the day cloaks and mark use have personality and or backstory behind them. This could also add some lore to the relevant classes, with these class items we can hear the stories of Hunters, Warlocks and Titans. Now idk of you guys agree with me and if you don't tell me why and know that it's ok if you like the class items in D2, my opinion isn't law, just expressing. I'm a Sherpa and while I don't actively make posts to guide, I have no issue joining boss CPs and helping with my knowledge or just filling in as a stronger team member. I joined a Crown post off my secondary character( my hunter who earlier in the day I was using sunshot/ a bygones/sword. Just whatever as I finished the shadowkeep campaign. The group I joined invited me to the party all and they were having a laugh at whoever they were replacing me with and noticed I had Sunshot and a sword on. I also had the Shadow title as well. They didnt notice that or my emblem for spire Sherpas. And then kicked me from party/fireteam. It just got my heart racing at being called names for literally nothing. But I did get to join another Crown boss CP to help a group get a player their first clear. And those were great people. Be nice and patient on LFG. We all want to have a good time. And if you're in a rush looking for KWTD groups to not fail. Actually raid report someone before just jumping the gun. [link] [comments] |
| Did Some Testing On The Best Way to Spend Your Planetary Materials Before They Go Away Posted: 01 Nov 2020 08:08 AM PST I handed in 4060 Seraphite to Ana Bray and received : +5675 Glimmer+4 Enhancement Cores+4 Mod Components+318 Legendary Shards+199 Gunsmith Materials+1 Rainmaker (Keep in mind this is me dismantling every single piece of gear and shader that I received.) Our other option is the spider which gives out 1 Legendary shard per 10 materials which would means from Spider: +406 legendary shards To give a better idea of the comparison I tried to calculate the total legendary shard value from Ana if everything was broken down and depending on whether you use the current or beyond light price system for enhancements cores, the value would work out to 366 or 446 as the price goes from 10/day now to 30/day in beyond light. Otherwise no rush, keep an eye on spider to trade them in for shards over the next 10 days because the option to trade for shards will go away with Beyond Light. [link] [comments] |
