Leading up to the launch of Beyond Light (& Season of the Hunt), Destiny servers will be down for an expected time of 14 hours, but may be subject to extension. Maintenance is expected to begin when this thread is one hour old. During maintenance, Beyond Light will become available to download. The maintenance will end with the launch of Beyond Light. Please note that Beyond Light requires a complete redownload of roughly 70GB. The night before a major DLC, gathering in parts of the city with a massive surge in light, watching the planets get taken by the darkness in a simple but efficient cutscene, I absolutely loved it, and it left me feeling like the world of destiny was evolving right in front of me. I killed Ghaul with the exotic Traveler's chosen on today's heroic story mission. Posted: 09 Nov 2020 06:02 PM PST The whole experience just felt... right. I've been angry about Bungie taking away the farm and all the odd items i've been stashing since year 1, but all of that disappeared when I loaded into the boss fight. This would be the second and final time I killed Ghaul. I had the upper hand, I came back even stronger. This felt like a proper send-off. The boss fight wasn't hard, never really was. After killing Ghaul with the exotic traveler's chosen, I felt better. I went back to the farm and sat at the edge of the docks for a while, thinking about how far we've come. Beyond Light marks a new era for Destiny, and while i'm not happy about half of our content getting removed, I think i'm ready to move on. submitted by /u/UrbexingPA [link] [comments]
