Small, useless fun fact about First In, Last Out slug shotgun.

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 04:07 PM PST

"I don't know how it works. You just keep taking damage and keep firing."

That's the flavor text for this shotgun. However, it is a victim of aged designed.

In Destiny 2 Year One, all weapons had static rolls, including First in, Last Out. The perk featured on the gun was pulse monitor, which reloaded the gun when critically wounded.

So the flavor text was literally just referencing the fact that this shotgun had the static perk of pulse monitor. But now, since it can roll with random perks, the description makes little to no sense.

There's absolutely no point in this info, but just thought I would share.

The Prophecy dungeon should drop trials of the nine weapons.

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 10:24 AM PST

It would be a neat way to bring some old weapons we haven't seen for a while and give them random rolls.

Just had a dude teach me DSC, it was great!

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 06:38 AM PST

Dude had the patience of a God. We took 10+ retries on the last encounter and he just waited. Patiently. Honk, if you're seeing this, you're awesome. Thanks.

EDIT- thanks for the awards, fellow guardians!

Also, to any sherpa who is seeing this- if you're teaching people and you need an extra man, I can definitely help out.

    Wish Ender needs Anti-Barrier arrows

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 03:20 PM PST

    Reasons:

    1. It makes logical sense, as this weapon's whole deal is piercing

    2. We need more diverse options for dealing with champions

    3. It would not be incredibly overpowered (It's a bow for crying out loud)

    4. I really, really, really want it

There are a couple of ways Bungie could go about this:

    1. Add Anti-Barrier to the weapon intrinsically

    2. Make Anti-Barrier the catalyst for Wish Ender

    3. Make the Hunter Exotic Oathkeeper give bows Anti-Barrier arrows when fully drawn (would be a nice buff to bows and Oathkeeper)

    4. Make Anti-Barrier bows a seasonal mod (temporary fix, but I would settle for it)

Please Bungie, I know you have it in you to do the right thing.

Sunsetting is understandable but sunsetting armor doesn't make sense

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 01:05 PM PST

all in the title really. I get sunsetting weapons to diversify the meta (maybe still re-release weapons with new perk rolls to enlarge the loot pool) but nobody had any meta armor sets. If you need to add updated versions that have the armor 2.0 features I understand that too, but it feels bad to see all of these great looking armor sets clearly still in the game files and viewable in collections, yet for some reason you can't bring them up to current light or reacquire them (maybe just make it so we can only get 50 stat rolled armor to make it fair from collections?) and I just don't understand the mentality behind it. Armor is a cosmetic choice for all players to show their style, but now all I see is universal ornament sets because the current loot pool is so limited and/or ugly, meanwhile sexy armor sets like the black armory set sit in collections, untouched and unobtainable.

TLDR; I would like to see bungie re introduce all armor sets in the game that aren't available at present and not sunset armor in the future. weapons make sense armor does not.

Edit: Did not expect this post to gain this much traction but I hope it gets seen by Bungie. I don't complain about this game just to hate but because I love it and want to see it be better!

Bungie please make a PVP map that takes place inside the Clovis Bray Facility!

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 11:23 AM PST

Like the title says I just think it would be pretty fun to see happen. When I'm on Europa exploring the facility is my favorite part its cool yet creepy and big but colorful. I don't often play PvP but I also think it's good since PvP didn't see a new map this expansion (I think) which sucks for the crucible players out there.

Edit: Thanks for the awards! :)

Bungie has canceled the Gilded Shell Exotic Ghost statue but I’m happy with their decision

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 08:31 AM PST

I received yet another status update to my order that was placed god I think a year ago? And it seems the order is canceled but they did offer something generous. Here is the text from the email.

    Dear Guardian,

Thank you for your support of the Bungie Foundation's iPads for Kids program and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and patience on your order.

After lengthy production delays, the Gilded Shell Exotic Ghost order was delivered to our fulfillment centers with widespread breakages caused during transit. The quality is unacceptable and we will be refunding your order.

You will receive an email confirmation that your order has been refunded within the next 10-14 business days.

The Bungie Store will be donating the amount originally expected to Bungie Foundation's iPads for Kids program and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in the amount of $18,000.

We apologize for the long wait that led to this disappointing news. As a thank you for your patience and support, we are sending you a code for the "Benevolent Hue" in-game emblem, which you will receive in a separate email.

Glad to see the donations still going where they matter most.

Honestly I think traction should be removed and the turn speed should just be how traction is without that mod.

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 02:55 PM PST

I play on console and to me it's kinda dumb how we need to equip a mod to be able to turn fast while running even at the highest sensitivity you still can't turn as fast as you can with traction on. It sucks because I would really want to use the slot for something like a extra scavenger mod. I think that traction should be removed and the turn speed should just be how traction was. If you can't make this change then give traction something like that extra +5 mobility and +10 hidden mobility like it did last season.

The punishment has gone on too long. Buff middle Voidwalker back into relevance.

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 04:56 PM PST

Because it's totally worthless in PvE and PvP outside of Handheld Supernova. If nothing else, at least increase super duration, teleport distance, and the ability energy given back from Dark Matter so it can see some PvE viability. The Super armor could be slightly increased, but I wouldn't mind if it wasn't.

It deserved the nerf, it didn't deserve to be buried and forgotten.

Please reverse the changes with the collections where exotics are pulled at 1050

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 06:58 PM PST

Please just make it back to -20 of your highest light. If it only happens to exotics and not legendaries it's not a massive deal as you can barely pull any of them anyways.

But seriously, it's honestly just a stupid thing to have. You're pretty much spending what you would to pull from collections, plus an upgrade module. And you probably might dismantle the exotic after use aswell. Just please reverse the changes

Can we talk about how much fun Escalation Protocol would be with Stasis?

Thrall shattering everywhere. Most things that were put in the DCV I don't miss, but I bet EP with Stasis would have been an absolute blast with all of those enemies chaining shatter.

Since simulation tech has been confirmed to exist. Bungie should use it to introduce a Horde Mode that re-enacts historical Destiny battles

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 05:32 PM PST

The battle at Twilight Gap, the invasion to retake the moon, the Red Legion invading the last city, it would be awesome if we could get a horde mode that allows us to experience these first hand. It could be reasoned that we're using simulation tech to familiarize new guardians with front line tactics.

Portal in Glassway strike should be an opening to a dungeon

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 07:35 AM PST

I'll go ahead and assume most of you reading this have already heard stuff along the lines of dungeons and PvE content and missed opportunities, so I'm not going to waste your time with stuff like that. I personally love destiny PvE content, always have, and, like with the previous two expansions, I was hoping for a "NEW" dungeon. Now, this post may be too early in the season, as we might still get a dungeon, but I would love to see the portal in the Glassway strike become the opening to a dungeon.

Now in the lore of destiny, the Glassway portal is supposed to lead to a vex Dyson sphere and Clovis was able to go in and see it for himself. I would absolutely love the idea of being able to go in, in a 3 man fireteam, and battle through vex challenges, puzzles and defeating some sort of giant vex mind or something to slow down the vex invasion on Europa.

Please let me know your thoughts on this idea/if my lore is wrong or not.

Congratulations to all the developers. Thank you for Destiny.

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 11:59 AM PST

So most of you guys have seen the developers posting images of their shields and magnetic tokens on twitter.
They look like a token of appreciation to the employees.

The magnetic tokens can be stuck on the shield as they want.

Here are some images of those shields from the devs:

    Please fix Shaw Hans face

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 02:47 AM PST

I cant stand his fortnite looking face...why does it look like he's about to crank 90's and collect mats in the cosmodrome. At any moment I feel like he's going to start flossing and L-Dancing. His face is actually starting to haunt me at this point. Please. I can't be the only one who thinks this.

The original is just so damn good, I couldn't resist. I reworked "Deep Stone Lullaby" as a chill beat.

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 05:16 PM PST

    Hope you enjoy :)

For some info, I didn't sample any elements from the original song. I decided to reproduce each instrument I wanted to use from it and then add and layer in some of my own. The most obvious one being the beat. This was incredibly fun to make. The Destiny soundtrack is just unreal when it comes to composition.

Bungie, I would love a horde-like activity that rewards enhancement materials

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 11:38 AM PST

It would be awesome to get a horde mode activity. The best part of Destiny, regardless of any other faults in the game, is the gunplay and slaying out. I love killing stuff without any bounties or rewards, but I think this would be a great way to earn various materials.

It doesnt have to be anything crazy or mechanic heavy. Let us slay through a few rounds of enemies followed by a tougher/boss round, then drop us a chest that gives us rewards and restocks our ammo. Rewards can include planetary mats as well as 1-2 cores per chest, scaling up as you go on. Give a chunk of xp per round/chest. This would reward everyone with pretty much everything needed to upgrade armor and weapons and buy upgrade modules at a consistent rate, and encourage people to try to go further for better/more materials.

Keeping it rather simple with increasing difficulty can make this a viable match made activity (like menagarie) while adding a heroic version (non-matchmade) at some point could provide bonus rewards.

It would also be a great way to do general bounties, get mats, upgrade catalysts, experiment with builds, test weapons, and just be a place that we can feel like monster killing machines, a vision given to us back in shadowkeep.

I think its alot easier now to get mats, but I cant imagine ever upgrading multiple armor sets in a season. Hell, I still havent masterworked any exotic pieces, it's just too expensive to upgrade a sub-par roll. I would be much more inclined to grind for multiple armor pieces and upgrade more leniently with good rolls if the materials were more readily available, and an activity that could keep going would help a bunch of people get a rewarding destiny fix when they dont have much loot to chase.

Note: Tie it to Europa similar to exo simulations, that way it wouldnt leave after a season, and you wouldnt need to tie it into a huge chunk of story that probably makes things much harder/take longer to implement

Each class should have an armor set that represents their animal

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 11:19 AM PST

Warlocks should have robes made out of bird feathers and wing decals

Titans should have a set with fur and a mane like a lion (even though those already exist they're dope so why not more)

Hunters should armor with scales from a snake

I'm just saying it seems like an obvious choice to do this, maybe a reward for guardian games this year???

Rework Raid Mods to have Zero Energy Cost.

    Posted: 05 Dec 2020 02:09 AM PST

TL;DR: Raid Mods/Perks should have a zero cost to them as they only work within the confines of their respective Raids and can only be applied to the relevant Raid Gear. This will allow players to have their builds + experiment with Raid Mods and promote use of Raid Gear. This was more-or-less done in D1 where 'Raid Perks' were just at the end of an armour piece's upgrade tree and were specific to the armour slot (example: boots typically getting an agility bonus when using the raid relic or doing a 'runner' role because...boots...).

Ok, praise first: Love the new slot on Raid Gear for the Raid Mods, in theory this makes it easier to build around other mods you want to use, whether that's a seasonal/charged-with-light mod or ammo or stat increase mods. Note the In Theory - Raid Mods cost 4-5 a piece (at least in DSC). You can not effectively use the rest of your build with any of these bad boys.

If Raid Mods applied outside of the Raid - how Fallen/Hive/Taken armaments/barrier etc functioned pre-BL...sure I could understand it for those types of mods specifically.

However now all Raid Mods function only within the confines of their respective Raids (according to descriptions) and are typically tied to mechanics only present within, GoS and DSC in particular (the Scanner Augment being a minor, once a week exception seen outside the Crypt for now).

Drum roll, please, the Proposed Solution:

Raid Mods now have Zero energy cost.

    That's it.

To me this would promote using the Mods and Raid Gear itself during Raids (only downside atm is that Raid Gear drops with questionably low stat distributions I've mentioned in a previous post but not the focus here). The mods themselves are already gated by rng drops. Then locked be elemental affinity (which I personally don't mind too much) but then being further gated by a ridiculous energy cost doesn't make me want to use them, I'd rather have ammo reserves, a charged with light/Rasputin mod and a stat bump than a situational 5 costing mod (again I think GoS mods cost far less overall and I don't know about Last Wish because I haven't got BL variant gear from there and very few LW mods anyway).

This isn't even that far-fetched an idea - this was done in D1, on a lot of raid armour/weapons (I will prefaced that we didn't have the current Energy System in D2 and other perks like weapon reserves were pure rng for non D1 folk). Crota's End boots gave an agility bonus when using the Hive Sword, similarly King's Fall boots for example gave you bonus agility when you where 'torn between dimensions' and KF arms gave a bonus to reload speed 'inside an aura' as Raid Perks. VoG arms had a branching choice, bonus super energy on Praetorian kill or on Oracle kill (which you could change whenever? It's been a long time do sorry if it was just set choice when the perk was bought) and VoG weapons had bonus damage to Oracles at the end of the upgrade tree. There are more examples you can look up but these are the ones I remember off-hand because I always tried to use them if an exotic didn't take the slot at the time.

Anyway, post ended, hopefully this makes sense? If I were to make a general statement it would be I think mod costs overall needs minor tweaking and take away the cost of switching mods...it's just annoying? Elemental Affinity is already a barrier for certain mods...eh, I digress. Honestly I would be fine with a 1 energy cost for all Raid Mods, but again with D1 as a basis, specific raid bonuses that were only present in their raids were 'passive' additions (and guaranteed!) for lack of a better description.
