| I Have One, Heartfelt Request. Posted: 24 Dec 2020 12:18 PM PST Hi Bungie, I'm pretty sure that this will get lost on Reddit, but I know I'm not alone in this desire and I felt like I had to try or I'd never forgive myself. First of all, love your game. I have one request as a long-time Destiny fan and Titan main. Please make this armor set available in Destiny 2. It's the Titan armor set you see when you first choose the class in Destiny 1 (the closest I could find to it was the rare set called Knight Type 2, but it might be a different set I couldn't find). I adore this set, especially the helmet and the arms, and this style is exactly the kind of Titan I want to be. With transmog coming to the game in the near future and returning weapons from D1 entering the loot pool (very, very excited for Shadow Price, thank you for that too), it is my genuine hope that I get to put this armor on my Titan in D2 and complete the look I fear I've lost forever. EDIT: Wow! Thank you guys so much for getting this to 100 upvotes! My goal is to get this noticed by the Bungie team no matter how unlikely that may be, so every one helps! EDIT 2: 200 upvotes! Thank you guys so so much!! I do this for Titans everywhere! EDIT 3: I walk away from my computer to clean out my closet and I come back to 700+ upvotes. | Posted: 24 Dec 2020 01:56 PM PST Having to manually start sprinting after slamming often leads into clunky situations when the crystals are too close or when you accidentally crouch instead of sliding. It's awkward and annoying, but could be easily fixed with this quality of life change. [link] [comments] |
| An idea to cut down on vault storage: merging PVP/PVE rolled weapons for a cost? Posted: 24 Dec 2020 06:05 PM PST An idea to cut down on vault storage for duplicate weapons: merge for a high cost. I have a rolled Succession I enjoy using in PVP and a roll I enjoy using in PVE. Let me merge both Successions weapon (essentially combing the perks from all columns into selectable nodes in one weapon as an outcome of merging two weapons together - for a cost (golfballs/prisms/glimmer whatever) (of course you can only merge the same weapon in both sockets). Let the Gunsmith do it for a high cost. It will slim down my vault and inventory storage. Let's say I'm doing PVP, I will just toggle the perks I want to use and swap to back to PVE perks after. You won't be able to create super weapons out of this because you can only select one from each column still depending on your activity and preference. Yes it does cut out the potential for farming but that's ultimately your choice if you opt into a hypothetical high cost for merge. The only hurdle is what masterwork the merged will take. Maybe an option of choice before merging (select which final result you want from the two: or wishlist bonus, a selectable on the weapon of the two)? [link] [comments] |

| Please undo the bug fix for Nezarec's Sin Posted: 24 Dec 2020 12:37 PM PST Nezarec's was supposedly "bugged" for two years after it received its buff and during this time it felt really amazing to use. It was clearly more aimed toward Voidwalker but had the ability to be used with any subclass so long as you used a void weapon. Now it's been "fixed" to where it is near impossible to keep a good time on the perk. You basically have to be constantly be killing ads with void kills and even than it's incredibly hard to build up a good timer. Please put the bug back and if you felt it was to strong maybe make it work just for Voidwalker, it's not like that subclass has a lot of exotics for it anyways. [link] [comments] |

I'm Arcion, the latest Hydra saddled with making these tedious reports while turning into a radiolarian Popsicle. I was able to transfer from Mercury before the Thing happened, so I should probably be thankful. Not everyone got out of that in one piece. I don't care much for Lightbearers, but it was nice that they got to ride their little scooters just before the end. Anyway, on with the report. Our partnership with the Fallen, who we also want to kill apparently: Spoke to a Captain who told me that not only would he be the one to fill the power vacuum left by Eramis, but also that he would get the Fallen to stop using our things for…stuff. Our portals, our confluxes, our wifi hotspots, have all been hijacked for various Fallen shenanigans. This Captain also showed me his Scorch Cannon, called it "Baroness bait" and proceeded to say a number of other things that aren't worth mentioning here. Suffice to say, the likelihood of him actually being next in line for Kell is negligible at best. Negotiations continue with the Shanks and Servitors, who seem to be the most reasonable Fallen, even though they still shoot at us. Hopefully this goes better than our very brief Cabal Scorpius Summit. Wyverns are jerks, but we need them: As you know, the Vex forces operating within the Sol System have not been combat types. Panoptes and Atheon were sysadmins, the Sanctified Mind was a regional sales rep, et cetera. With the arrival of the Wyverns, we can finally get some actual work done. Various complaints have been lodged, words like "sweaty" and "toxic" have floated around, but we chalk it up to a simple clash of cultures. You can't claim to be bullied for knowing math when the bully is also a computer. The important thing to remember is that they are doing what they came here to do: mess with Guardians. Except for Titans. Many Titans and Wyverns are now friends. Either way, as long as they're occupied. Once again, they thirst for our milk: Guardians are gross flesh bags (and mildly attractive Exos) who engage in bizarre rituals. We know of the Sitting, when Guardians repeatedly get up and sit down on our corpses—a warrior's gesture of respect, as one Hunter told me. But this is about the Dawning, a time during which our "milk," which seems to repulse Guardians every other part of the year and actually electrocutes them, becomes a baking ingredient. I can't say it's exactly bad—if you want to risk conversion, go right ahead—but we aren't sure of the full extent of this…consumption. A Warlock "assured" me, as I was gawking at her collecting it, that her—I cannot make this stuff up—"magic oven" separated out the radiolaria from the brine, and the brine is what's used in the baking. Ah. Now it's a perfectly sane thing that you're doing, thanks for clearing that up. Shooting ice is being tempted by evil, but baking sentient creatures into cakes is a holiday tradition. I'll just let you all ponder that. That's it for now. I've been summoned to the Glassway to be a "cubbyhole invader," whatever that is. Should be fun. And hopefully warm. | To get into the Holiday Spirit, I made Lavender Ribbon Cookies! Posted: 24 Dec 2020 02:22 PM PST I was looking for a recipe for the Lavender Ribbon cookies to make at home. Unfortunately, there didn't exist a proper recipe for them. But, being a baker and fan of experimenting with flavor, I still gave it a try. The cookies are a standard shortbread and jam cookie. I used lemon curd, since it goes well with lavender (in my experience as a cook), but the actual jam is up to individual preference. The frosting on top is where the Lavender Ribbons come into play; I made a basic buttercream frosting, but, before adding the milk, I boiled it with some lavender buds to infuse the flavor, and make almost a lavender milk tea. I used the lavender milk instead of regular milk or water to add flavor to the buttercream, and adjusted to my liking. Here's the buttercream recipe (from allrecipes.com):
Specific changes: Get about 2/3 cup milk and some lavender buds (or extract, depending on preference and availability; I used fresh buds from my garden, so I don't have a solid amount, perhaps around 2 grams, crushed to free the oil). Bring to a low simmer in a saucepan with the lid on, checking every few minutes until the desired level of lavender-ness is achieved. Remove saucepan from heat and pour through a wire mesh strainer into a separate container, and then chill in the fridge while you make the cookies. The cookies were the easy part by a long shot; I used the following recipe to make them, but substituted lemon curd for the jam to give the cookies a brighter, more powerful flavor. Again, other people have differing tastes, so the jam is interchangeable, especially for flavors that compliment lavender. The recipe is as follows (from blessthismessplease.com):

| The Dawning and Community Fatigue Posted: 24 Dec 2020 02:11 PM PST With the recent triple Dawning announcement, which we all pretty much expected, I wanted to get the communities opinion on the fatigue around core activities and seasonal events lack of content, creativity and the overall grind fest that Bungie still doesn't seem the understand the communities fatigue. First off, 1 billion Dawning spirits, acquired by doing core activities. Like the same 5 strikes we've been doing for 3 years. Not a good idea. They should have learned from the Serpah Tower events that people don't want to grind ridiculous amounts for an event. Especially one were there isnt really an incentive. Yeah we have these mysterious engrams that we can get as a community, but that's about it besides the 3 rehashed weapons that MIGHT drop out of a gift that you MIGHT get after turning in cookies that you make from essence that isn't rewarding enough of from core activities. The fact, again that armor is locked behind Evervese and not apart of the event itself diminishes the event went most of the rewards are locked behind a paywall especially after this seasons bright dust nerf. I think the lack of diversity of core activities is starting to hit players. Because lets face running Exodus Down for the 10 time today and the millionth time overall is not fun. Also I cant believe that with the addition of Europa an ice plantet, and stasis, that we don't have something special tied to Europa like a special event or location or even a stasis weapon quest.... Posted: 24 Dec 2020 05:15 AM PST Hey, not sure if this was posted already so I apologies if this is a repost of some sorts. But, as the title states, even when in one's super for any of the sentinel shielding mechanics, you cannot block any Stasis attacks from say, the Warlock Super. Now, I understand being frozen when not blocking but this completely nullifies this super because the shielding mechanic isn't actually that useful(with the exception being Ursa on Middle Tree) other than blocking super attacks. I can eat a Blade Barrage, I can eat the 6 shooter, two of the 3 shooter Golden Gun, Hammers from Titans. Arcstriders are just twirly boiz in my face. But an icicle? Frozen through block animation. The shield doesn't even compare to the Titan heavy on Stasis or the Warlock light attack. I understand if the Hunter Super freezes me, it as an AOE freeze effect after all, but why is a projectile freezing me? I don't understand as to why this in here because why would I run this if I see a Warlock Stasis? And, it's pretty much a guarantee in this sandbox that one will see a warlock running this class. Was this designed to be a direct counter to Sentinel? Or is this a bug? I'm more confused than anything and I am just curious because it seems like a weird design choice in regards to this super and how it reacts to Stasis Projectiles. Titan super heavy I can get a bit more behind because it kind of shoots the crystal under your feet but again, I'm pretty sure its some sort of AOE effect versus the very-much projectile launch from the Warlock super. But the issue I'm having is that the super doesn't block things like the Titan's AOE freeze effect at the moment of entering the super. I'm talking about the little AOE freeze that emits from the Titan that freezes normal guardians and also freezes a sentinel blocking right at him. I'll have it said that I'm pretty sure that the block in the super stops the Warlock Melee ability but again, I've had instances in testing where it has not. Again, perhaps its a bug, or it could be a design choice but as it stands, I have no clue. I just thought I'd bring it into a conversation as I'm also curious on other peoples opinions regarding this. I just feel its a bit of a bummer considering, especially with code of the commander, its meant to block projectiles and it kind of fails at doing that here. Thanks. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 24 Dec 2020 07:03 AM PST Not just the public event ones? Brigs in strikes, Empire Hunts, and HVTs should count if you want to maintain the fireteam requirement. I know I can LFG a fireteam and we can loop around Europa mindlessly trying to grind this out, but this is tedious. This triumph feels like you need to unnecessarily go out of your (and 2 other's) way to complete. Edit: Or, change the triumph requirements to 5, 10, 20. I think forming a group to specifically target this 5 times (or 7 if you don't trigger Heroic) is sufficient. [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 24 Dec 2020 04:48 PM PST Bungie has proven that they can create compelling stories and lore in the game of destiny, but I believe that the destiny universe and Bungie's storytelling could thrive in more forms of media than just video games. Stories like the Books of Sorrow, The Thorn and The Last Word, the Bray Family, and even The Vault of Glass are compelling enough in lore form, but I feel like adding visuals, music and real acting can not only tell these stories in an even more enjoyable way, but it can also give more casual players and even people who don't play the game a more accessible way to learn about the Destiny universe. This could also give more lore oriented members of the community like Byf and Myelin a more official way to tell these stories as lore advisors or even directors. Maybe some of the more prominent guardians could make a cameo, like maybe have a scene in a series about the awoken where Savathûn shows Riven her own death at the hands of Sweatcicle and Gladd's team, or maybe a post Kings Fall story where Gothalion, Broman, and Teawrex are on a last city talk show discussing how they killed Oryx. Bungie is in a really unique position where the players in their game directly affect the lore, making Destiny less of a game and more of a living world. I believe if Bungie can take advantage of this incredibly unique situation, they can make Destiny's lore and storytelling reach it's full potential. Idk just a thought. [link] [comments] |

It only makes since for event exclusive armor to be earned through in game efforts first and foremost. Heck make it available to buy instantly with silver if you don't want to go through the trouble. Once said event is done then have it up for grabs with BD. Heck for all we know that's how transmogrification is going to work. The content in Destiny 2 is a mixed bag sometimes, but if there is one thing that Bungie has always blown out of the water, it's the music. Salvatori, you are a genius. Marty as well.
