We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Legend Lost Sectors' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

A tribute to all the Two-Guardian fireteams out there.

My friend and I could never find a solid third to stick with us throughout most of Destiny's content, so up until recently we just played one man down. I know we aren't the only ones, so here's a piece I made to commemorate all the duo squads out there. Twin Swords // Concept Art

Thanks for all the support! It's cool reading all these comments about people with similar experiences.

Masterworked armor should give back 90% of resources put in, including the golf balls

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 01:28 PM PST

would certainly lessen the impact of sunsetting masterworked armor pieces

EDIT: getting back the golf ball should be RNG not garenteed, so that u still potentially need to go and regrind that golf ball for ur new piece of gear.

It sucks that we travelled through time to give Saint-14 a sunset gun

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 07:19 AM PST

The lore behind Perfect Paradox is so cool, so weird, and so uniquely Destiny. It plays around with the time paradoxes and causalities of series and distills it down into a sleek, cool shotgun that packs a punch. As an Exo Titan main who remembers getting it before Saint-14 was back in the game, it had kind of a special attachment there.

And so of all the things being sunset at the end of this season, that's the one that hurts for me the most (alongside Trophy Hunter, which is just a cool gun). It sucks that this weapon, sort of an Excalibur for Titans, is now just scrap for glimmer — and without so much as a mission to actually complete that time loop and give it to him.

    RIP, you beautiful bastard.

EDIT: Apparently we did give him the gun already, forgot about that

Simple Question... Would you be playing more if sunsetting had never happened?

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 06:18 AM PST

I know I would, I sure as hell wouldn't be taking longer and longer breaks along with my favorite streamers and the majority of my clan and friends list... all at the behest and suggestion of the virtue mobs who can't enjoy the game if any one person criticizes it :/

I'm sure the mass exodus we're in the middle of now would not be near as dramatic and the focus on EvERyThInG wrong with the game wouldn't be near as polarizing if we could do what we used to do during these lulls, which was burying our heads in our vaults, bringing old weapons to the cap, trying out new shaders on old favorites and generally experimenting with our entire arsenals. If that was the case, I know for a fact I would have logged in more than twice in the past 3 weeks.

Virtue what you will about this community being toxic or salty, at the end of the day we're not 'gamers' ...we're paying customers who invest in a hobby and that investment is now being routinely scrubbed.

F2P players will overwhelmingly always remain F2P players. It's the dedicated and inve$ted customers you're losing in droves now Bungie.

    ...

AnD AnOTheR ThiNG! ! ! If nothing else happens, at least let us change elemental affinities on our energy and power weapons again, it would mitigate a lot of the wackedout imbalance in what is available.

I decided last night to main a warlock. I have awoken a bitter and angry shell of myself.

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 07:50 AM PST

After experimenting with a 100 intellect, Chaos reach, Geomags, empowering rift, and Truthteller build, I realized I had found my calling. I couldn't help myself, everything just died in the crucible. I masterworked a set of armor and was looking forward to starting a new week as a Warlock.

But what I didn't expect was waking up with such a negative worldview. It's almost as if a switch was flipped. When I looked at myself in the mirror while dressing, I loudly proclaimed "clothes are not made for my kind!" I couldn't find something suitable, so I walked down to breakfast naked.

My wife, who I had been in love with for the better part of a decade, had just finished cooking. She was perplexed by my appearance, but handed me a plate. I couldn't believe how terrible the the food she had made for me was.

"BUFF this food, I demand it. My friends eat so much better!" I'd never use the word 'buff' outside of the game before, and lord knows no one has used it to describe myself.

Don't even get me started on the sex. For the first few weeks we were dating, it was AMAZING. I was an animal, and there was no limit to my victories in the bedroom. Helmet on or helmet off, it didn't matter....we just kept going, all night. But it inexplicably was all taken from me, and it doesn't seem like it's even worth the time anymore. The magic is gone, and I'm jealous when I hear about so many of my friends crushing it with no problems.

When I tried to talk to my wife at breakfast about how much better my friends sex was, she kind of just stood there for awhile, then said "maybe its not just all about you." She started crying, and I headed out to my car.

From the traffic on the ride to work, to the way my boss now interacts with me, I don't know how life became so suddenly unfair.

I deserve so much more than this. Consequently, I'm going to be airing my grievances everywhere, particularly in places where they're completely unrelated to the subject at hand. Fellow warlock mains, I get it now: we've been handed a raw deal from the moment our ghost woke us up. It's time to rise up, even if we need some medication to help with that.

Take the vacuum effect from Duskfield and give it to Vortex grenade

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 04:48 PM PST

It's actually kinda insulting that it isn't the case.

The Void element references gravity or pulling a lot.

Graviton Forfeit. Graviton Lance. Entropic Pull. Deadfall. Black Hole. (D1 Nightstalker perk.)

Currently, the Vortex grenade is literally just "the bad spherical AoE grenade." It doesn't suck in and slow like Duskfield. It doesn't cause DoT with the initial blast like Solar. It has a slower TtK than Pulse.

Conversely, the only reason Duskfield isn't practically the most OP non-Super ability in the game right now is because Glacier grenade is competing with it by instakilling things after a Titan/Hunter slams into them. Duskfield is slightly under the radar because of that but holy hell, is it strong.

It sucks you in and then you're immediately forced to abandon all offense and feebly try to escape it since failing to do so results in being frozen, which is certain death. But the pull alone can get you killed by pulling you out of cover and into a shooting lane, where you can't even shoot back or move fast since you have to limp to safety.

The pull is so ridiculous it's even ruining jumps; if you're airborne and this hits some place kinda near you, wherever you wanted to go is not where you'll end up. I've started to strafe forward with a Titan and wound up going completely vertical thanks to a Duskfield landing, making me easy pickings for enemies. I'm sure we all have similar stories.

I sincerely hope that the Shatterdive combo is fixed but I really think Duskfield and Vortex can be fixed as well if we swapped somethings around. My proposal for how I want these 4 sphere grenades to work:

    • Vortex pulls you in*
    • Pulse still kills quick
    • Solar still causes DoT
    • Duskfield slows*

*in compensation for these changes, Duskfield's slow effect should linger a bit after you leave its AoE since it now does nothing if it doesn't land on a foe or they don't walk into it, and the damage buff that Vortex grenade gets from a Voidwalker overcharging it would have to be removed or else it would be an auto-kill all the time

What the hell does Stasis, aka "I want my enemies to stop moving" have to do with pulling them in anyway? That's what Void should be doing, and it would make Vortex grenade have an actual good trait to it.

Yeah Vortex would pull you in but you would be able to escape it at normal speed. Yeah Duskfield wouldn't pull you in anymore but landing it would slow a foe for a significant moment even if they escape it, rewarding accuracy.

Is there a downside to this? I don't see any. Voidwalker currently sucks in PvP at the moment anyway and appreciates the boost, and only Way of the Wraith is good when it comes to Nightstalker but I think the boost to top and bottom tree Nightstalker will be worth Wraith being a bit better. (Revenant will still be king anyway.)

Shadebinder received a compounded nerf in just 9 days, but Revenant is still running amok even after 2 months.

Beyond Light Launched on November 10th With Update 3.0.0.1. Hotfix 3.0.0.3 dropped on November 19th containing multiple nerfs to the Shadebinder subclass.

Just pointing out the difference in reaction speed. Make of it what you will.

    New Gambit Mode: Gambit Strikes!

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 08:38 PM PST

The Drifter pulls a coin from thin air and glances at it with a grin. "The Scarlet Keep! Bring two swords!"

Two teams run the same strike, ordeal difficulty. Enemies drop motes which you collect and deposit at checkpoints to drop Champions on the other team. First team to kill the final boss and finish the strike wins.

Not sure how invading would work. I just liked the idea of a linear gambit map that was more like a race than the "three areas and a bank" standard for gambit.

Riot and Bungie teaming up to sue Valorant and Destiny 2 cheatmakers

"They're looking to the court to shut down the operation, citing the alleged trafficking of cheating software and intentional interference in players breaching contracts, as well as unfair competition."

I'm all for companies teaming up to take care of this issue. Nothing will ever 100% stop cheaters, but this may help stop more players from starting.

Dear Bungie, please don't tell me "Oops, you left a gambit/comp match" after your servers keep booting me to orbit.

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 10:12 AM PST

Throughout this season, I've often been getting error code "Aragula" and as a fairly frequent comp/gambit player, these error codes are quite annoying. They almost bring me back to season 10.

However, what makes me livid, is the fact that the game has the audacity to tell me that I left the match whenever I get error coded.

Can you guys just remove these? They're just pointless and annoying.

Bungie please bring the Prismatic Recaster system into the Gunsmith

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 09:10 AM PST

I've been thinking about this for a bit and decided it would greatly benefit how players obtain weapons and provide a new system for players to pursue and upgrade.

    _____________________________________________________________________

Umbral Engrams are now Gunsmith Engrams

Altered Element is now Gunsmith Materials

You should be able to focus Engrams into a choice between sunset or current weapons. This would provide a great way for players to obtain the sunset weapons they missed out on.

The Prismatic Upgrades would be weapon quests (Kills with x weapon) instead of a number of materials and would reward new perks for the Recaster. Upgrading the Recaster previously rewarded a n umbral engram but would now reward a new armor/weapon mod.

A weekly mods system so instead of resetting daily, it resets weekly with a larger variety of mods.

A possible wrathborn hunt system to obtain Prismatic upgrades or gunsmith materials.

Whoever at bungie is responsible for the raid armor and weapons and the season pass armor did an awesome job.

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 04:21 PM PST

The gun scopes are really cool, the season pass armor has awesome spikes and even a thrall head, and the raid armor has glowy bits. Can't beat it. Great work.

    Lament for The Lament

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 05:17 PM PST

    Enjoying yourselves casuals?

It's worth knowing the cataclysmic DPS you will be responsible for today.

Do not fool yourselves. This weapon is not simply the fruitless work of some pathetic game developer.

This sword was built by the genius Lucas Smith himself. Within lies the franchise's salvation. Le fontaine de dommage.

    Made possible by Banshee's Wail.

Magnificent, isn't it? A perk from beyond our own dimension, and the answer to the playerbase's eternal struggle: Atraks-1 health regen.

Were it to fall to a nerf, humanity, and the universe, would be utterly doomed.

I have no reason to believe that the next patch is anything other than "a slight nerf."

You now face godlike damage. May it extend eternally.

If half a team leaves a crucible match, could you please stop matchmaking and just mercy rule the game?

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 01:23 AM PST

Please stop matchmaking players into games about to be mercy ruled.

If half the team left because the matchmaking was so unbalanced to begin with, then just cut the losses of the bad match-up and instant mercy rule the match. Please stop throwing players into matches that are 50 to 10 where everyone on the winning team has charged supers.

Say, if half or more of the team quits out of a match in less than 1 minute, just end it already. Thanks.

Title. Combine that with the random teleporting of fallen enemies in Exodus Garden lost sector, which makes the lost sector so annoying because they teleport behind you randomly. I think it should its allies that are in the line of sight rather than what it feels like.

Why does Glacial Quake have WAY more damage resistance than all supers?

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 12:45 PM PST

Bungie, supers were already a problem in the past. Why did you give one of the most mobile supers the most damage resistance?

Remember when Shadowkeep first came out, and every single super got their damage reduction reduced? Why is Glacial Quake an exception? The super is already good as it is, so there is no point in making the damage reduction so unreasonably high.

P.S - I was somehow able to tank a Golden Shot (Bottom Tree) to the head :|

Could u let me know a word when you try to farm God perk gear??

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 07:53 AM PST

Hi all! Im one of korean players who plays destiny2 Suddenly, I got curiosity to find out specific terms or words in playing game, among people using English.

So, this time, I'd like to know if you have any terms that mean 'Farming God roll gear'

In Korea, we call it 'bake pottery' cuz usually pottery masters shatter their work if those are not perfect. Maybe grinding gears will be same stuff with shattering their work.

I'm looking forward to yer comments! Cheers!

Why did bungie think removing crucible maps was a good idea

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 09:44 PM PST

I've been playing destiny 2 mostly iron banner and it feels like there is 6 maps at most, I remember in d1 there being 20ish. Who in bungie thought let's get rid of eleven maps and not replace them and leave only the shitty d2 maps. Why not add all of d1/d2 maps to the crucible and give it some diversity instead of the shit we are left with
