This week at Bungie, we're back in action.

It's been a while, hasn't it? Since the last TWAB, you've gotten your hands on Hawkmoon. The Dawning has come and gone. Next-generation consoles received some wonderful enhancements. You've released a crow from their cage, and Lord Saladin watched as you decimated your foes with Stasis in the Iron Banner.

On the Bungie side of things, we took a breather. This last year has been full of challenges that none of us expected. Even through everything 2020 had in store, we were able to get Beyond Light and Season of the Hunt in your hands. This did come at a bit of a cost, though, and we needed some time to recharge our batteries for a new year. We have no doubt that 2021 will have mountains to climb and unexpected surprises, but we're all excited to get back into the groove for a new year of Destiny development.

So, let's get this party started. We've got four TWABs between you and a fresh Season of Destiny 2 content. You're hungry for what we've got planned, and we're eager to dish out the goods. First up, we'll be looking at a few changes to vendors, Dreaming City and Moon rewards, and some sandbox tuning for Hunter Stasis abilities in the Crucible.

Rewards Update: Dreaming City and the Moon

Since the launch of Beyond Light, we've been collecting what feels like a metric ton of feedback on various Destiny systems. While we've shared some plans related to rewards, DDoS protection on consoles, crossplay and transmog, we have new details on rewards from two of our more recent destinations: The Moon and the Dreaming City. Rewards Area Lead Justin Dazet will be walking us through some changes in response to player feedback.

Justin: Last month, Assistant Game Director Joe Blackburn spoke about some changes we were making to gear in Season 13 in response to some feedback. Today we're going to briefly chat about what some of these changes are as they relate to our back catalog of expansions, and the reasoning behind them.

First let's review a list of what you'll see starting in Season 13:

    • Reissued Dreaming City Reverie Dawn and Moon Dreambane armor.

      • These will also drop with high stats when earned in Shattered Throne or Pit of Heresy.
      • The final chest in Pit of Heresy will no longer drop a fully Masterworked Dreambane armor piece.
      • Instead, the Dreambane armor piece that drops will have 7 armor energy and is guaranteed to drop with at least a +16 in two different stats and higher stats overall.
      • Dreambane class items will not drop from this chest.
    • Reissued 4 weapons for Dreaming City with new Perk Pools.

      • Waking Vigil, Sleepless, Vouchsafe, and Retold Tale.
      • Dreaming City weapons that drop in the Shattered Throne dungeon can roll with perks that are unavailable from drops from other reward sources.
    • Reissued 4 weapons for the Moon with new Perk Pools.

      • Premonition (Pit of Heresy only), Heretic, Blasphemer, and Apostate.
      • Weapons that drop in the Pit of Heresy dungeon can roll with perks that are unavailable from drops from other reward sources.
    • Expanding Lost Sector Legend and Master rotation to 4 Moon Sectors.

      • K1 Logistics, K1 Communication, K1 Crew Quarters, and K1 Revelation.

We are making these changes to help preserve the relevancy of the destinations, specifically some of the pinnacle end-game activities that still exist there. To get more specific around the actual experience, activities where re-issues are acquired will be heavily weighted towards rewarding re-issued gear over capped gear -- though the exact weighting and mechanisms may differ. For example: In the Dreaming City if you have already obtained an infusion capped weapon, it will not drop for you again.

    Image Link

While not every gear source or Legendary reward will be kept up to date for the entire lifetime these destinations are available, we do believe there's high value in targeting some specific activity drops for continued relevancy to give you more options for where to spend time as you seek to improve your arsenal.

    Turn in those Tokens

Since Destiny 2 launched, Guardians have been amassing vendor reputation tokens. These could be turned in for Legendary gear, which would usually be dismantled for Legendary Shards and materials. Looking to the future, the team is excited to update the ways in which you earn reputation with ritual vendors and the rewards that come from them. Dazet, back to you!

Justin: The rewards for continuous ritual playlist completion has been a subject that's come up several times as we've looked over Beyond Light feedback, and we're happy to announce some changes coming soon to Gambit, Crucible, and strike reward structure.

Firstly, we'll be adding two new unique weapon rewards to each of the three playlist rituals (so six total across all three activities). These weapons are in addition to the ones added in Season of the Hunt, and continue to have a small chance to drop at the end of each activity.

Second, starting in Season 13 for Gambit and Crucible (Valor) and in a future Season for strikes, rank rewards will be visible on the ritual vendors. Each Season you'll be greeted by a row of rewards, progression toward which will be earned automatically as you complete relevant playlist activities.

Instead of having rank rewards dropped automatically into your loot stream, they now will be picked up manually from the vendor lists. We feel this gives much better visibility into what you'll be earning as you progress, and helps you make better choices about where to spend your time.

    Image Linkimgur

Progression is on a per-ritual basis. You can be on Rank 10 for Crucible and Rank 4 for Gambit, for example. You'll reset your rank right at the vendor by picking up the final reward.

Rewards for each individual ritual are as follows:

    • Rank 4: 3x Upgrade Modules
    • Rank 7: 3x Enhancement Cores
    • Rank 10: Seasonal Ritual Shader (changes to 3x Enhancement Cores after resetting your rank)
    • Rank 13: 2x Enhancement Prisms
    • Rank 16: Seasonal Ritual Emblem (changes to 2x Enhancement Prisms after resetting your rank)
    • Reset Reward: Ascendant Shard (changes to Exotic Engram after resetting your rank)

Every rank-up awards a base Ritual Engram just like before. Additionally, each of the above ranks also awards a Prime Ritual Engram.

    Image Linkimgur

Due to this automated progression, Crucible Tokens and Crucible Token Gifts are no longer needed and will be deprecated into junk that will delete as a full stack starting in Season 13. So, cash those tokens in before the end of the Season, and get ready to earn some Masterwork materials!

Taking a pass: Revenant Shatterdive & Fissures

The conversation and feedback on rewards wasn't the only thing we were tracking over the holiday break. Many of you have been spending time in the Crucible, experimenting with Stasis and all of the ways in which it can change the flow of a PvP match. Prior to the break, we had a round of tuning for Warlocks. Next up, we're looking at Hunters, but also have some comments on our approach to future Stasis tuning as we head in to the new year. Please welcome Combat Area Lead Tomonori Kinoshita back to the TWAB to talk through our goals for Stasis abilities in PvP.

Tomo: Over the holiday break we saw Trials go live, and with that a wealth of valuable feedback from the community. Along with this feedback, we have been tracking data from Trials and identified some short-term changes, as well as more mid-term goals we are focusing on in the coming weeks and months.

Short term goal: Address outlier Stasis abilities to keep subclass decision making interesting.

    • Reduce the potency of Shatter Dive + Whisper of Fissures against Guardians, going live with Update 3.0.2.

      • Shatterdive
        • Now has damage falloff vs. unfrozen targets
        • Max range damage reduced from 50 to 5
        • Damage reduction during ability reduced from 50% to 25%
      • Whisper of Fissures
        • Reduced max-min damage vs. non-super players from 42-22 to 30-4
        • Reduced max-min damage vs. super players from 42-22 to 16-2
        • Reduced detonation radius vs. players from 10m to 9m
    • Investigate the efficacy of the Stasis Titan Behemoth Super. We want to let the above change settle to see where the Behemoth stands in our PvP hierarchy, but this is next on our radar.

Mid-term goal: Improve PvP subclass usage and win-rate balance.

    • Addressing Stasis ability outliers will help us lower the ceiling, but we also want to pull up other underperforming Light subclasses.

Mid-term goal: Review our ability-to-gunplay balance in PvP.

    • Destiny is a game about both explosive space magic moments and intrinsically satisfying gunplay. Especially in our 3v3 playlists, the usage of abilities has climbed as we introduce more and more ways to charge them quickly.
    • We're still in very early discussions, but we're looking into restoring a better balance where proper gunplay is rewarding in these playlists.

A few of you noticed that prior to our holiday break, we were able to get a few sandbox changes delivered faster than expected. Thanks to changes on Destiny 2's backend and the Destiny Content Vault, our patch pipeline is indeed better than before! That said, some changes won't happen at light speed, as our team wants the appropriate time to collect feedback, check the data, and test proposed changes.

Once these changes have been validated, we'll be eager to get you details via TWABs, blog articles, and more.

    Worldwide Community

Sometimes, it can be difficult to think of how large the Destiny community has become since 2014. It seems no matter where you may be in the world, you might bump in to a fellow Hunter, Warlock, or Titan. Last year, we bolstered our efforts with the addition of two international community managers. Join us in welcoming a third to the team! Introducing our new Russian Community Manager, Ivan Yanyushkin.

    Ivan: Privet!

My name is Ivan and I'm the latest community manager added to the team for Russian speaking Guardians. In Destiny 2 I enjoy making raids more complicated by doing them with fewer than six people and endlessly roaming around Europa on my Warlock, which for me is a meditating experience.

Some of you might know me from my past work at Blizzard Entertainment, where I worked as a community manager for different titles. This experience will help me, but I will also be thankful for your guidance. Feel free to reach out to tell me what works, what doesn't, and how things can be improved for the Destiny community. One day, when real-life gaming events finally become possible again, I will be happy to meet you in person. But for now, let's stay in touch on Twitter, VKontakte, and on the Russian Bungie Forums.

It's an honor to work with such an amazing community. My job will be to pass the voice of the players to developers, help local content makers grow, manage Russian social media channels, and take care of many other duties. I'll do my best to be Ivan the Great not the Terrible!

P.S. Hopefully one day I'll even get used to the fact that Hydras explode after death :)

    Spasibo.

    UPCOMING RESOLVED ISSUES

Below is a list of some issues expected to be resolved with Update 3.0.2:

    • Hive bosses, In Ananh, Brood Queen and Xillox, were not counting as Hive boss kills in bounties.
    • Some players couldn't respawn if they died during the boss fight of the Inverted Spire strike.
    • Players could get out of environment in several Crucible maps.
    • Some quest items were not dropping in the Moon Freeroam activity. This prevented completion of several "Essence" quests, such as Essence of Rage, Essence of Insanity, and Essence of Servitude.
    • The Unrelenting perk was not triggering health regeneration.
    • MIDA Multi-Tool's catalyst wasn't dropping from Competitive Crucible wins.
    • Taken Psions were replicating too rapidly in some Prophecy dungeon encounters.
    • Garden of Salvation flawless completions were not awarding the "Inherent Perfection" Triumph.
    • The High Celebrant sometimes wouldn't take damage nor go to the Ascendant Plane.
    • Fixed an exploit where players could have "Shelter From the Storm" permanently applied in the Deep Stone Crypt raid.
    • Fixed an issue where Cloudstrike hits on the Divinity cage counted as two precision hits.
    • Fixed an issue where the Grandmaster Nightfall timer was set to 30 minutes.
    • Fixed an issue on PlayStation 5 preventing clan rosters from loading.

    DUST AND ECHOES

Almost nine years ago, stats and files from our previous franchise, Halo, stopped getting updated on Bungie.net. Since then, all stats, files, and other data from Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo: Reach have lived on in remembrance at halo.bungie.net.

On February 9, the halo.bungie.net website will be taken offline permanently. Everyone is welcome to save their stats and files, however they can, if they'd like to save anything. Please keep in mind that our News articles, Forums, and Groups were imported into the current version of Bungie.net back in 2013.

    KNOWN ISSUES

While we continue investigating various known issues, here is a list of the latest issues that were reported to us in our #Help Forum:

    • The Exotic Ship Reward from the High Celebrant mission is not properly showing that it is a "Rare" chance reward in the activity description. Chances for this reward increase with each activity completion.
    • Portals aren't opening when the High Celebrant leaves because the black orbs take no damage. Players can mitigate this issue by not using Sidearms and not shooting the orb as it immediately spawns.
    • Enemies in Crucible and PvE aren't colorblind-friendly when highlighted.
    • The Special Finisher mod no longer unlocks for new players.
    • Bomber mods don't work when Hunters have the Dragon's Shadow Exotic equipped.
    • The Overload Shot on Auto Rifles doesn't proc if you hold down the trigger right after reloading, even though it does the Overload animation.
    • Some players receive the BIRD error code trying to get to the Wall of Wishes in the Last Wish raid.
    • Sometimes the Vault encounter in the Last Wish raid won't let you read icons nor spawn enemies after slamming on a plate or finishing a phase.
    • Sometimes Riven doesn't get stunned on the second level in the final encounter of the Last Wish raid.
    • The Forfeit Shrine Ascendant Challenge completion doesn't count towards the Ascendant Champion or Honed for Speed Triumphs, blocking the Cursebreaker Seal.
    • The Run the Gauntlet Triumph doesn't unlock when completing the time trial in the Cimmerian Garrison Ascendant Challenge.
    • Ahamkara Bones are missing in the Shattered Throne dungeon and multiple Ascendant Challenges.
    • Players will sometimes go into a Nightfall with 16 people when they try loading into the Tower.
    • Sometimes dialogue gets cut off at the end of a Wrathborn Hunt.
    • For Hunters using the Way of the Warrior subclass, Combination Blow sometimes stops working and doesn't give Gambler's Dodge back.
    • Non-Exo characters are receiving Exo specific dialogue on Europa.
    • The Light of the Dawning emblem cannot equip stat trackers.
    • The Coaxial Bonds ornaments for Ophidian Aspect causing the bottom-left of the screen to glitch/flicker.

For a full list of emergent issues in Destiny 2, players can review our Known Issues article. Players who observe other issues should report them to our #Help forum.

New season in 25 days. I just hit 1260 and really don't want to grind to the next cap again :(

    Posted: 14 Jan 2021 09:30 AM PST

But I feel obligated to. More and more I am wishing for a new way to do this power level thing. What about like set difficulties or something instead? I don't know, I'm just exhausted, and I can finally chill having hit 1260 base power on everything, and I don't want to go all the way to the top again. Don't get me wrong I had a ton of fun this season! I just cannot wrap my head around getting the energy to do the power level grind & management next season. It doesn't make sense.

edit: thank you for your thoughts everyone. I would be interested to hear ideas of alternatives to this current grinding system. Also the reason I want to do 1260 is because I just play trials and nightfalls for the most part also my name is gjerda on youtube

Hey Bungie, can Full Auto be removed as a perk and instead be an accessibility option, or a toggle within the inspect screen?

    Posted: 14 Jan 2021 04:55 PM PST

Here are my arguments for Full Auto being an accessibility option, or a toggle in the weapon inspection screen:

    1) There are two camps. People who hate Full Auto taking up a perk slot, and people who need it to keep their hands from getting tired or stopping their RSI from flaring up. Making Full Auto an option will satisfy both camps.

    2) There is only one weapon archetype that benefits in any way from Full Auto, that being the Shotgun. ALL other weapons do not see an increase in their DPS or Time-to-kill from being Full Auto.

    3) Shotguns already have Assault Mag to increase rate of fire anyways, it could be buffed to make up for the loss of Full-Auto + Assault Mag rolls.

    4) Some people do not like how intrinsic Full Auto feels on some Rapid Fire archetypes of weapons, and giving them the ability to turn it off would improve their user experience as well.

I think that, Ideally, you could have this toggle be on a per-weapon basis in their inspection screens, rather than a blanket on/off toggle for everything.

Some weapons are genuinely uncomfortable to use. If you're going through a ten minute strike with a lightweight sidearm, and squeezing the trigger 360 times per minute sporadically for ten minutes, that's a lot of squeezing/clicking. That's a good way to make players not want to use the cool guns you design.

Edit: messed up the formatting, didn't even think it'd do that

"Reset Reward: Ascendant Shard (changes to Exotic Engram after resetting your rank) ." One Ascendant Shard on your FIRST Reset Only.

    Posted: 14 Jan 2021 04:41 PM PST

Just throwing it out there for people who missed the end part of that as I'm actually seeing people praise Bungie for allegedly giving players access to more Ascendant Shards.

Meaning, after the first reset of the season you get One Ascendant Shard and every reset after the first is an Exotic Engram.

Bungie, I refuse to believe you can find 11 people queuing up for control within 15 seconds then spend the next 5 minutes struggling to find the last person to fill that slot.

    Posted: 14 Jan 2021 08:31 AM PST

Basically title. I'm literally writing this post while waiting for this dumb matchmaking algorithm to find that last person to put into a match.

Edit: okay wow, didn't expect traction on this waking up.

Edit 2: to all those in the comments telling me to consider I was the 11th guy that joined up a queue with 10 people already, okay, so? It still doesn't explain why going from 11/12 to 12/12 takes 5 minutes. Or why it seems like this happens 80% of the time I try to queue.

Edit 3: Oh yeah, that match I had started 4v4 and we ended up mercy-ing the other team. So matchmaking time and quality ftw.

Own a Posterity for self defense

    Posted: 14 Jan 2021 08:04 AM PST

Own a Posterity for self defense, since that's what Clovis Bray intended. 4 Atraks-1 clones enter my orbital platform. "Clever little rats." As I grab my Clarity Control and my Posterity. Blow a nuclear core sized hole through the first one, she's dead on the spot. Draw my heritage on the second clone, forget to put icarus grip on it and accidentally press jump so I nail the neighbors shank in the head. I have to resort to the Eyes of Tomorrow laying at the top of the stairs. "You will now face godlike judgement. May it extend eternally." the rockets vaporize 2 Atraks-1 clones, the sound and extra rockets wake up Taniks from his afternoon nap. Fix Bequest and charge the last terrified clone. She bleeds out waiting for House Salvation to arrive since Adaptive sword wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as Clovis bray intended.

Considering there is no rework coming soon I am baffled as to why a rocket was included in both reissued weapon sets. Realistically, we are only getting 3 weapons from each set back.

Bungie, can we have a way to earn the Trials of Nine and Crucible Ornaments?

    Posted: 14 Jan 2021 02:14 PM PST

    Trials of the Nine

    Crucible

I had all these bad boys during CoO. But came to PC during Warmind. Then a year later you guys did Cross-Save and I've been kicking myself in the teeth ever since.

I was hoping you'd let us combine our Collections but oh well. Can you give us a way to re-earn these? Since CoO you've had tens of thousands of players return and tens of thousands of new players. Not to mention the plethora that likely switched to PC.

They're already in game. Just make them earnable again.

    Edit: IB 1

    IB 2

Its hard enough to convince people to get on and RAID, do you really think anybody wants to jump on to do patrols and pray the public event that spawns is the right one? If they already have Cloudstrike, do you think they wanna do Empire Hunts?

I recognize this is a marathon, not a sprint. But I have my doubts the next few seasons will bring many people back and even if they do, it'll be for new content, not patrolling Europa.

According to dmg, you only need to turn in your crucible tokens before the end of the season

    Posted: 14 Jan 2021 02:55 PM PST

Saw some confusion about this in the twab thread but according to this only crucible tokens will be getting deprecated next season. Vanguard tokens will be suffering the same fate soon so if you have a large stack may be worth starting now.

A Bow Guide - For all Levels

    Posted: 14 Jan 2021 12:30 AM PST

Here are some tips for those of you who are starting out with bows, or maybe wanting to learn more about them, from someone who has over 31,000 crucible final blows with them over the course of the 2 or so years that they've been in the game.If there's something I've missed, I'd like to know in the comments so that I can add it to the post, or at the least to my own knowledge.

In general, there are standard rolls that are perfect for lightweight and precision frame bows.

Lightweights have a few more options for you, and it depends on how you are using them.

The only thing that persists across all of the bows is that you're aiming for Fiberglass Arrowshaft as your second column perk - this is because of the effect to the accuracy stat.

    Accuracy and Stability

Accuracy is to increase the length of the aim assist cone, and be able to hit shots easier at a distance, and the stability stat is to keep the cone from expanding as much in the air, and to help you deal with close quarters, mid range, hip fire and fast firing engagements.

The recoil direction actually depicts which side your bow is likely to land after firing a shot, so counterbalance mods may have a small effect here

    Lightweights

    The String and Masterwork

The string and masterwork are very much tied together on these frames, and it depends on what you're going for.

There's a draw time cap of 540 on lightweight frames (even the perk archers tempo only reduces this to around 536) - If you have Elastic String, I would recommend an Accuracy Masterwork, however, you can get away with a Reload Masterwork if you have Moving Target, or another accuracy increasing perk available. For the strings with a higher draw time, you'll want a draw time masterwork almost every time. If you're wanting handling, go with Flexible String - It's an absolutely solid choice on the Arsenic Bite, but if you want to increase your accuracy, Polymer String is the play.

    Precision Frames

    The String and Masterwork

You're always going to want Elastic String on these frames. Choose between a Draw Time or a Reload Masterwork.

I personally prefer the Draw Time of 576, over the reload bonus, which can be catered to with mods and exotics

    Legendary Damage Numbers and Perks

    Draw Type Precision Lightweight
    No Draw Body ↓ 61 ↑ 71
    Quarter Draw Body ↓ 67 ↑ 76
    Half Draw Body ↑ 91 ↓ 81
    Full Draw Body ↑ 101 ↓ 86
    Over Draw Body ↑ 95 ↓ 84
    No Draw Precision ↓ 91 ↑ 113
    Quarter Draw Precision ↓ 100 ↑ 121
    Half Draw Precision ↓ 109 ↑ 129
    Full Draw Precision ↑ 152 ↓ 138
    Over Draw Precision ↑ 143 ↓ 134

Explosive Heads will take half of the damage from the original arrow and put it into a blast radius, instead of being a flat damage number - this means that the more you draw back, the more your explosion will do. This can range from 31-51 (precision frames) and 35-43 (lightweights).Note: Explosive Heads themselves are unaffected by Rampage, Swashbuckler and other damage related perks.

Rampage on precision frames will 1 tap at 3x, or at 1x with most other damage buffs. On lightweights it's used to up the weapon consistency. 2 bodyshots with 1x rampage will kill 4th tier resil and less, and 2x will double body any guardian.

Dragonfly will do around 49-56 damage while I was testing, and when you add dragonfly spec, it increases to 95.

Swashbuckler is quite possibly the most broken damage perk on bows. Pair with a damage buffing melee (or any other damage buff) on lightweights to one shot kill (before the buff it will do 183 to the head at x5). Precision Frames will deal 202 on a perfect draw at x5, killing every guardian.

Rapid Hit is pretty much a dead perk if you have bow reloader, as it will go up to around x3 before it stops having an effect. If you have anything else that enhances reload speed (ophidian aspects come to mind as a great one) then it really becomes useless.

Archers Tempo is a risky perk to have. You'll want it on a bow with a draw time that is greater than its archetypes minimum to get any noticeable effect out of it, but if you feel like you need more accuracy and prefer a longer draw because of that, then this will be the perk for you. I'll be trying to get some more numbers for this over the next week or so.

Moving Target and Surplus are two neutral perks that are fantastic. If you use your abilities often, I'd go with moving target, but a heart of inmost light titan or someone more conservative with their abilities may prefer surplus.

Snapshot Sights is a great perk on bows, and will give you a good transition point if you're used to Le Mon's ADS speed.

Opening Shot is a fantastic perk if you're having issues with the accuracy (perhaps you don't have Fiberglass in the second column) - and even if you do, this will make your shots crisp as all hell at a distance.

Killing Wind is absolutely a fantastic perk to go for, and going for Natural Fletching instead of Fiberglass can be recommended in this case, as the stability + the extra weapon aim assist range will doubly effect the accuracy cone

Sympathetic Arsenal is the archers auto loading holster, meaning you can use your killing capacity to reload that machine gun in PvE, or the quickdraw fusion in your back pocket in PvP. Don't sleep on the pairing with fighting lion either, double dipping for consistency on the thin the herd playstyle, always having your heavy loaded

Firmly Planted is an interesting one, as it will increase accuracy, stability and aim down sights speed while crouched - this also procs on slides - and drawing back your arrow at the start of a slide will mean it's drawn by the time you've finished, the whole time, your arrows will be more sticky

    Lightweight Frames

A no draw headshot and no draw body shot will kill at 2nd tier resil, but a quarter draw is needed above that for 1 of the arrows - preferably the head to cover most resilience tiers, but a body should cover 6th tier and less.

    Precision Frames

You're gonna need to flick shot the head twice at a quarter draw or more, or fully draw and hit the head before you can flickshot an arrow into someones body. Note: A guardian at max resilience will survive the double quarter draw flick approach

You can also body shot and melee with this build with no buffs in a perfect draw (max resil) or an overdraw (6th tier or lower)

    Exotic Damage Numbers

Draw Type Le Monarque Trinity Ghoul Wishender Leviathans Breath
    No Draw Body 61 21x3 61+30 51
    Quarter Draw Body 67 23x3 65+30 100
    Half Draw Body 91 25x3 68+30 143
    Full Draw Body 101+24 35x3 72+30 343
    Over Draw Body 95 33x3 71+30 300
    No Draw Precision 91 31x3 109+30 91
    Quarter Draw Precision 100 34x3 116+30 159
    Half Draw Precision 109 37x3 122+31 228
    Full Draw Precision 152+24 52x3 129+30 548
    Over Draw Precision 143 49x3 126+30 479

Vorpal Weapon (Precision Frame) Damage Numbers

    Super Head Body
    Goldie 181 121
    Chaos Reach 145 97
    Blade Barrage 124 83
    Well of Radiance 121 81
    Daybreak 119 79
    Hammers 119 79
    Nova Warp 119 79
    Shadebinder 119 79
    Spectral Blades 117 78
    Sentinel 114 76
    Striker 114 76
    Arc Staff 114 76
    Burning Maul 114 76
    Thundercrash 114 76
    Tether (while tethering) 114 76

    Spectral Blades (Invis) 111 74
    Behemoth 97 65

    The Reticle and Draw Length

⊙ | | | - This is what the reticle looks like when you aren't drawn back (well, this is sideways, but you get the idea) - when you draw back your arrow, the bottom lines will be accurate for a quarter draw and the lines will get closer together past the half draw mark to keep accurately representing the flight distance - ⊙||| - before disappearing entirely when you're fully drawn back and you no longer have to lead your target -

If you're sprinting towards a target, tap/pull back in the opposite direction to be able to get that reticle back (same as every weapon in destiny) so you can judge the distance to draw time and actually start drawing back your bow without having a small delay or whiff entirely because of it cancelling your sprint instead of drawing

When you're aimed down sights, there is a line at the bottom of the reticle, that will be accurate up to around 15 and 20 meters before you have to judge additional falloff height (precision and lightweight no-draw ranges respectively) this distance will increase the longer that you draw.

    Draw Type Precision Lightweight Line
    No Draw ↓ 12m ↑ 18m Bottom
    Quarter Draw ↑ 24m ↓ 20m Middle
    Half Draw ↑ 31m ↓ 25m Top

Full draws and near perfect draws will tend towards being on target to the center of the reticle - and it's just about practice (note, when I'm using quarters and halves, it's more about where the string is drawn back visually, rather than how long you've been drawing back, as that depends on what string you have).

The lower draws can be effective, but they do require learning of how your draw time effects the flight path and where you have to release your shot to get the best accuracy - if you want to rely more on flick shots and getting your accuracy down, you could go for a higher draw time lightweight frame to train with before increasing the draw time when you're able to judge your shots better.

A perfect draw isn't when the bow starts glowing, there's about an 8 frame window just before where the arrow will release silently and do full damage. That's the perfect draw.

    Builds

    Get Down Mr President

    • Biting Winds with Swashbuckler
    • Insurmountable Skull Fort on Top Tree Striker

Simply shoulder charge your way to 1 tap headshots

    But I am the shotgun...

    • One Two Punch shotgun in your kinetic slot
    • Liars Handshakes
    • Top Tree Arc Strider
    • Trinity Ghoul

Shoot with the shotgun, 1 down, punch the next, 2 down, dodge and switch to Trinity Ghoul, punch again, 3 down, shoot the floor with trinity and carry on punching... FANTASTIC WORK You now have all of the combination blow, so just trinity the floor and punch away

    Thomas the Siege Engine

    • Khepri's Horn
    • Deafening Whisper
    • Whispering Slab with Swashbuckler
    • Sunspot Titan with Thermite Grenades

I'm not sure if this one even needs explaining - but when you make a sunspot, stand in it and have swashbuckler, you'll one tap

    Wrath of Cupid

    • Top Tree Dawn
    • Karnstein Armlets
    • Biting Winds with Swash

Like with the first build, except you can deliver the punch down the hallway heal from it, pop heat rises for perfect in air accuracy and kills to get your melee back to start the entire process again

    Corrosive Sting

    • Le Monarque
    • Khepri's Sting
    • Middle Tree Night Stalker

Invis when you're crouching and get that precision final blow, poison clouds everywhere and the ability to melee yourself out of most situations, this will be the build for you if you like watching your opponents suffer in their final moments. Also, note, if you hit someones face with your smoke from a distance and they stay in the cloud, they're probably going to die from that alone

    A Hunger For Wishes

    • Blink Devour Warlock
    • Autoloading Holster Demolitionist Truth Teller
    • Wishender
    • Felwinters Helm

You can see through walls, you can bounce grenades off of walls, you can no draw bodyshot guardians and clean them up with a melee to heal and you can debuff the surrounding enemies with a fully charged melee. I don't even know what the damage numbers are on regular guardians on a full draw, it doesn't display, it just deletes and you heal. Run alongside your favourite behemoth buddy for their tectonic harvest for the best results

    Edit

I'm going to start working on a PvE post like this, as there will be a lot more damage numbers - I hope that you don't mind waiting until next season for it though

Isn't it time to let us view our character with our energy and power weapon... at least in the inventory?

I'd pay 100 Hereafter Pieces to skip the beginning part of Empire Hunts

Just lemme pick it and hop in man... I don't wanna defend anymore fallen skiffs or anything

    Warlock Rift Freeze

    Posted: 14 Jan 2021 11:15 AM PST

Hate or love stasis but I always love when a Warlock manages to time a stasis rift just right to freeze someone rushing in with a shotgun. Always looks like something out of a movie or something. Anyone else ever looks in awe? 😂

A few hot takes about the game that I don't really think fit anywhere else

    Posted: 14 Jan 2021 05:37 AM PST

    - Luke Smith should 100% not be blamed for all the game's shortcomings. Bungie may be a game company, but it is first and foremost a company that has reallocated a lot of developers and designers to the project now known as "Matter" because of a $100 million investment deal they made with the biggest game corporation in the world. Not saying that what can be done immediately to change the game for the better shouldn't be done, absolutely not. Last month's rewards update even said that Bungie is hiring more designers to work specifically on Destiny for more loot.

    - Season of the Drifter is kinda underrated. I feel like the main reason why people didn't like it was because Reckoning felt underwhelming, it had no raid like the other two Y2 seasons, and it the first season with today's standard 3 exotic weapons. There are a number of reasons why I liked it, though. It was the first season that experimented with armor set bonuses, which is a mechanic that I really wanted to see more of in future seasons. It had amazing lore and I want to see more of the Nine in the game (Prophecy is cool, but the plot focuses more on the dark future of the Sol system than the Nine themselves). There were some pretty good legendary weapons introduced this season, and the three exotic weapons, despite all being kinetic, are all pretty solid options. SotD also introduced Zero Hour. Finally, this is less significant, but Reckoning's music was sick.

    - I don't like it, but I can understand the logic in sunsetting armor more than weapons. Before this one gets me downvoted to hell let me explain why. While each weapon is unique, armor sets have really nothing to distinguish them from other armor sets anymore, and therefore if you get a high stat roll any legendary piece is replaceable for another. This will be especially true once s14 rolls around and Transmog comes out. However, I 100% agree that if armor sunsetting is here to stay it should cost substantially less to masterwork, and RNG on powerful armor drops should be fixed. 57 IS NOT "HIGH STAT ROLLED", BUNGIE.

    - Just because exotics aren't meta doesn't mean they're useless. I think some of the underused exotics deserve buffs (and Ruinous Effigy did NOT deserve its nerfs) and that Merciless should be fixed ASAP, but there are few truly useless exotic weapons. For example, Leviathan's Breath. Is it used often? No. Do many people hate it? Yes. But it's the only heavy bow in the game, it does good damage, has anti-champion capabilities, can OHKO supers in PvP/Gambit, and can stagger/knock back any enemy or boss in the game, which no other weapon in the game can do, including Tractor Cannon.

Why don't raids drop upgrade materials?

    Posted: 14 Jan 2021 04:18 PM PST

The newest TWAB announced that pit of heresy will no longer drop masterworked armor at the final chest in season 13 which got me wondering why raids don't give masterwork materials. I think Last Wish is the only one that comes close because you can get curated weapon drops that can be dismantled for upgrade cores but that's it. Raids are an endgame activity so it's weird that you can't efficiently earn upgrade materials through them

For petes sake.. make the audio on the disc jockey emote fade if you get further away from the guardian using it..

    Posted: 14 Jan 2021 11:09 AM PST

It is a nightmare to listen to that beat in the tower or in any matchmade activity no matter how far away from the person using it I am.. it is super annoying. As it is now it is Max volume on repeat and it is driving me crazy..

Why did we lose so many Crucible maps but Dead Cliffs is still in rotation?

    Posted: 14 Jan 2021 08:12 AM PST

The spawns on this map are 100% broken. If you play a halfway decent team you are going to be stuck in A spawn and repeatedly spawn killed for the duration of the match. On top of that, this map was removed a few seasons back to FIX the spawns, and it plays exactly the same. There are maps that were removed that play way better, there is no reason Dead Cliffs should be in the game in the state it is.

I doubt this will get any visibility from Bungie, but by the off chance it does, please fix the spawn points in this map or move the control points. And please, give us some new maps, or even some old D1 maps. Anything. Thanks.

I've been playing middle tree arcstrider in comp the past couple days and I have a question...

    Posted: 14 Jan 2021 08:36 PM PST

Why do people t-bag when they shatter dive me in my super? Oh, you have this combo that can 1 hit kill any super in the game, and is also harder to miss with than to hit? And you managed to use it on my incredibly immobile roaming super? Fucking Einstein reincarnate. Kill me in my super with a pulse rifle? I can understand the bag. Shatter dive? A toddler could shatter dive an arcstrider.
