Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Drop Rates' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

Hello Bungie, from the API we can see that tomorrow's Iron Banner quest requires heavy weapon kills. Who thought this was a good idea?

    Posted: 22 Feb 2021 04:59 PM PST

I mean, it's only 10 kills, but unless I'm mistaken we had this exact same problem with an iron banner quest back in season 9 or 10. And everyone complained because half the team camped heavy all game? But we're doing this again... Why?

DON’T queue up for 1270s if you won’t kill Champions.

    Posted: 22 Feb 2021 06:58 PM PST

I don't know why I need to say this. If you're queueing for 1270 Nightfalls, KILL THE CHAMPIONS. If you don't want to, then DON'T queue for 1270s. There's absolutely no reason whatsoever I'm getting pulled into the tank encounter because 2 blueberries died after rushing past the anti-barrier on the bridge.

I dont want to do 'make number bigger' anymore

    Posted: 22 Feb 2021 04:54 AM PST

I have been +20 every season since it was introduced into the game but grinding to that every season along with grinding to the pinnacle cap just so I can do endgame content is just soo dull. I really enjoy GMs and Master lost sectors etc but I dont want to have to arbitrarily grind to new numbers every few months just to he able to do them. It doesnt change anything, I'm not hitting harder each season as a result. I'm grinding for hours to hit just as hard as I did 3 months ago before my progress was removed. Enemies hit just as hard as a % of my health at 1310 as they did at 1200. It's just pointless busywork. Let me grind new guns, perk rolls, mods with my time to actually create interesting synergies and builds instead of 'making number bigger'.

Put Tyra Karn in the HELM so we don’t have to go through two locations just to decrypt engrams.

    Posted: 22 Feb 2021 01:29 PM PST

The H.E.L.M. Is pretty much a perfect location, almost mirroring the tower minus the vendors, and of course a cryptarch.

I don't mind going the tower for my daily bounties, sometimes I don't even do that because of the app. But what can be annoying is having to fly to the helm, and then to the tower because I have a prime engram.

The farm is gone, so where is Tyra Karn? Wouldn't it just make sense to add her in the helm so we can have the convenience of decrypting both versions of engrams in one convenient location? We already have a post master and a vault so I don't see why not. Plus it would make sense too since Master Ragdrool can't be relocated into the HELM.

If you're doing Shattered Throne for the reissued loot there's two secret chests I see people skip constantly.

    Posted: 22 Feb 2021 12:49 PM PST

They both drop reissued Dreaming City loot, and in my 6 Shattered Throne runs this season almost everyone I've lfg'ed with has skipped both of them. The first is in the first shadowthrall hallway after the ogre platforming section. Just head straight and jump over the railing into the giant hole. Halfway down is a beam you can land on and there's a chest behind you with a portal to take you back up. The second chest is after the ogre boss. When you get to the room with four hive wizards and an elevator go over to the right side and use a queens tincture to reveal some invisible platforms you can follow to the second chest. I don't know if these chests can drop the dungeon exclusive perks since I don't even know what they are, but the armor has all been high stat rolls so I assume they can.

Please Bungie, let us hold more Enhancement Prisms/Golf Balls

    Posted: 22 Feb 2021 08:25 AM PST

    Pretty much the title...

Please Bungie, let us hold more than 50 prisms and 10 golf balls!!! Why is there a even a cap? I really have no idea. You've made these resources so much more easier to acquire this season which is great. Allows us to masterwork armor whenever we actually get a good roll or even an exotic since they take 3 golf balls. I literally had to use a golf ball I didn't want to just so I didnt lose the one that I had in the postmaster because you give us 3-5 blues after every round of crucible along with endless umbral engrams. Now I'm not complaining about the umbral engram drops. But when you farm Palindrome, you get end up getting a ton of engrams in general. I have 21 prisms in my postmaster right now. I'm sure some of you have more. These nightfall farms should be a wake up call to Bungie so we don't have endless materials in the postmaster because they give us a cap that we can hold in our actual inventory.

Edit: Thank you for the silver and hug! First of either one. I understand the reason is because of hoarding. But they have to understand that with farming for a nightfall weapon; we're going to get a lot of prisms. If they could at the minimum increase that cap to 100 I'd be more than ok with that.

What I love most about Xenophage is that it does not have time for the dev's BS.

    Posted: 22 Feb 2021 01:59 AM PST

Especially when it comes to Legendary and Master lost sectors.

Devs: Hey guardians, we're introducing a streamlined way for you to get exotic armor for specific areas of the body!

Players: Great! Wait whats the catch.

Devs: Well you have to do lost sectors

    Players: Alright..

Devs: We've increased the light level and added champions and your favorite burns like match game! :)

Player: That's not bad, a challenge is fine and with a fireteam you can cover and shield type-

Devs: No you have to do it solo :) Player: Ok...so since everyone will obviously want the exotics the difficulty and champs are balanced towards solo play right?

    Devs: Nope! :)

    Player: No..?

Devs: Nope! :D but don't worry we've added burns so your weapons will do bonus damage to help you out.

Player: Well that's great I hope that the match game shields will line up with the specific burn-

Devs: Well no not really. Like K1 Logisticis, we added a void burn, but there isn't a single void shield just arc and solar! :D

    Player:...

    Devs: :)

Player: So there's no void shielded enemies, and the burn is void why...?

Devs: So the servitors do more damage to you! :D

    Player:....

    Devs: :D

Player: So I don't even get the benefit of the void burn since I need to break solar and arc shields and no void abilities affect champs this current season

    Devs: Yes! :)

    Player: Xeno?

    Xenophage: Yo.

    Devs: Wait.

    Player: You got this, man?

    Xenophage: Oh for sure

Devs: Wait no don't do that

Player and Xenophage then walk into the sunset to farm K1 Logistics.

Shot out to whoever added xenophage.

I can only assume it's some rogue dev who doesn't play by the golden rule of bungie "screw over the player at every turn" they probably ride a motorcycle and wear sunglasses indoors.

A warlock explaining why a lot of us are complaining and what are our concerns

    Posted: 22 Feb 2021 07:37 AM PST

    (Mods please don't remove this)

Long post warning, there will be a TLDR at the bottom if you are interested

First of all, i'm sorry for all our complaining. I know some people consider all of this whining annoying. But we have many reasons for why we are making so much noise these days.

Mainly it's this: We are either getting nerfed too Hard and too quick or we are getting nerfed for no real reason and just for the sake of nerfing us and make us have less choices. They are really slow at addressing our concerns but when it comes to nerf us they are really quick. They don't treat us exactly like the other classes.

    I will provide some examples:

    • Skull of dire Ahmakara. It needed a nerf. It was nerfed too much, now struggle to even regen 25% of your super.

    • Nova warp. Did i need to explain this one? It needed a nerf, but now it's dead from a very long time.

    • Bottom tree Dawnblade. Great super, orrible neutral game. Super got nerfed because it lasted a very long time in PvE. The tree is now dead from a very long time.

    • It took a very long time before they addressed our melee that was too slow compared to other classes or the fact that you couldn't see anything during Chaos reach.

This is Just what comes in top of my head first, but i think there are many more. Now i don't want to start a war against Hunter and titans (i play and love all classes!), But Let's compare all of this with them.

Spectral is still one of the strongest subclass for PvP for Hunters, they didn't destroyed it like Nova warp (luckily). Striker bottom tree is the same, really good in PvP. OEM and Wormhusk crown are still really good too after their nerfs.

Now, we get to this "rage" because our new subclass, what we even pay for BL, got hard nerfed in 9 days! Super quick. Don't get me wrong it needed a nerf. But they didn't even waited to see how things were evolving, or the release of the new aspects and to everyone getting Fragments. Well, anyway the melee got slighty buffed again shortly after.

Revenant and behemoth? Shortly after they showed to be much more stronger than Shadebinder but they are still there, running rampart. The nerf did take way longer than Shadebinder to come, and it did barely anything. What they did then? They nerfed Shadebinder again! The subclass was perfectly fine before this and they still nerfed it, it wasn't a "Must have" in neither PvP or PvE and it was competing with the light subclasses like it should be. There wasn't any reason to nerf Shadebinder. And we have some fear that it will end like Nova warp again. But still behemoth and Revenant are there. They even buffed Revenant.

Why we didn't get the same treatment as others? Revenant and Behemoth got slighty nerfs to Shatterdive (for hunters) and Glacial grenade combo (for both, basically). The nerfs were really small, but then for behemoth they said: "Investigate the efficacy of the Stasis Titan Behemoth Super. We want to let the above change settle to see where the Behemoth stands in our PvP hierarchy, but this is next on our radar"

Why we didn't get small nerfs to Shadebinder and see how the subclass will end? Why did get the nerf hammer so quickly? Why 6 multiplicative nerfs all at once? And then nerfed again for no reason in PvE?

(Just to clarify, i DON'T WANT nerfs to Revenant and Behemoth becuase they nerfed Shadebinder. I think both of these needs a nerf in PvP, but in PvE they are both FINE! And i love using Behemoth or Revenant in PvE)

Penumbral blast damage nerf was discovered as a bug. But it needed a lot of time and complains to actually address that as a bug. Eyes of tomorrow and Dunemarchers bug got addressed really quickly like it should be. Before you come to say this: Iceflare bolts grenade regen removal wasn't a bug, and it was an intentional nerf.

Our new exotic doesn't work in PvP, but from what i know, still no response from bungie.

We have only 2 choice in PvP now, and we are the worst class out of the 3 for now. To be really competitive we are locked on using top tree dawnblade, and Stormcaller middle tree. Shadebinder, Nova Warp and Stormcaller top got all nerfed.

We complain because we want to get heared, our concerns are being addressed very slowly and they always brings the heaviest Hammer when it comes to nerf us. We want to keep the discussion active so bungie will most likely address us. We don't complain because we want to be OP, we just want bungie to treat us like the other classes.

I will share some comments that for me had really good and well explained points:

EDIT: adding some things with the help of comments. Stormcaller top tree got nerfed hard too, it's still good thanks to Crown of tempest luckily (but a slave of it) but the lightning chain does less damage than Dunemarchers, a titan exotic (which i love using on my titan). And trascendence is a anti-synergize perk they didn't address. Plus is bugged and doesn't always regen health. Nezarec's Sins got nerfed for no reason and they said it was a "bug fix". Well, thank god the exotic it's still good. Sanguine alchemy was good in PvP and it was nerfed even if it wasn't even meta if i Remember right. Two of our void grenades are bugged or useless, especially in comparison to Vortex.

EDIT 2: i think this needs to be added too? Us warlocks Still don't have a real class exclusive sword with animations and such. Well... Sadly every class right now doesn't have one due to sunsetting, but i love the idea of a katana for hunters and BIG sword for titans. I would love to have one for warlock. Another thing, we warlocks still don't have an exotic for stasis or an exotic that changes our main jump.

TLDR: We warlocks are usually ignored, our things get addressed slower than other things, we get nerfed heavier and quicker compared to other classes, sometimes even without any reason. It feels bad. Shadebinder didn't need another nerf. Nova warp is still dead. Because of hard nerfing we have less choices, especially in PvP. We don't want to be OP, we complain just because we want to be treated like the other classes.

(Sorry for bad english and for the wall of text)

This week of Trials have proven that the gamemode is flawed and need a rework. New name, new rules and make it more appealing to the playerbase that actually want to play this game

    Posted: 22 Feb 2021 12:51 PM PST

The list of topics regarding Trials is way too long to write it all down here, but this is my take of potential changes that need to be touched on, so it might attrackt more of the core playerbase and make it less appealing for people stop either paying or getting ´free´ recov by following a sweaty streamer:

Make it 5 wins for hitting the lighthouse. I cant think of any other games that makes either a weekly event or permanent ranked mode, where it requires to win 7 matches in a row in order to get the loot that is being advertised. Games like lol, CS, COD ect. you most likely not going on a 7 win-streak. Even for better players. But a game like destiny is really not build around being this super competitive and I cant see the logic making this exclusive trip to the lighthouse only for those that put their gaming life only into destiny pvp. Because of the amount of carries - both paid and through popular streamers, it just feel like you are forced to play the same super talented players over and over all weekend long because they are now making their income.

Make all rewards both bounties and if you reach the amount of wins to get the loot (1,3,5) wins. This would encourage more players to anticipate to play, even if they lose game, they still work slowly towards getting this weekends loot. I cant see why this would not be a good thing.

The amount of loses on your card decide what loot you get at the lighthouse. You should always get the weapon/armor that is avaiable that weekend, since we still have to deal with heavy RNG on rolls. But lets say you have one lost, then you dont get the weapon mod and if you had two lost you dont get the ascendant shard. That way it is still more rewarding to go flawless but more people have a fair chance.

A note about stasis: Just make it a support focus class in pvp. No frezze at all Only slow and no penalties to anything on your stats when slowed Give 3-5 sec cooldown on shatterdive Shurikens should deal less damage Cloudgrenade should not be able to pull guardians Make Behemonth travel abilty cost more super energy for holding down longer

I am not the best to making post like these but I had to get this off my chest and hopefully someone more talented can make a better post and bring it more to light.

EDIT: I can see a lot of good points are being made in the comments and also good suggetstions. I dont know how realistic it is for Bungie to make changes to a mode they have worked on for a long time (not joking, no matter what state the mode is in, they sure have put alot of workhours to make it ´work´) but it terrifying to see on trialsreport the amount of players that plays trials each week and how many get flawless. That number is just getting lower and lower and is possible very misleading because of the amount of recov/carry that being made. I dont know how many are doing these paid services but it have to be the majority because of the many advertisements and when you load into a match - you look the team up - never been flawless and have less than 1.0 KD but they play like the world champions. It hapens way too many times each time I myself try to go flawless

Bungie, of all the moon weapons to reissue, not bringing back Loud Lullaby was a huge miss.

    Posted: 22 Feb 2021 04:20 PM PST

Like a lot of you, I've been chasing a good Bottom Dollar roll, cashing in weapon parts for a True Prophecy roll, waiting for Iron Banner for another stab at a good Steady Hand, and couple things occurred to me.

1: Of the 120s we have, every single one is an absolute pain in the ass to get ahold of.

2: Of all the Moon weapons to be reissued, the 120 with the most unique visual flair and the single most kick-ass sound design in the game, has been left to rot.

Seriously, it's a travesty that such a beautiful looking, beautiful sounding weapon has been left out of the Moon reissues. Whoever worked on that weapon absolutely knocked it out of the park, and it really, really deserved to be brought back and given a chance to actually shine now that 120s are so good.

    Just another casuality of sunsetting.

The tickrate is in dire need of an increase, at least 64 ticks servers should be thing, THIS WAS A STANDARD IN 2010. Even Roblox has a better tickrate than this crap, I dont understand why it's impossible to implement a more smoother and less BS experience in this game.

Trials from a Incentive Rework Perspective

    Posted: 22 Feb 2021 08:16 PM PST

I've seen quite a few discussion posts on Trials changes, but most suggestions I have seen push to change the game mode in a direction that reduces the difficulty or fundamentals. Trials is endgame PvP content, and should remain challenging and difficult as such; however, I would argue that the reward structure needs to evolve for the health of the playlist. The approach I would suggest is based around 3 types of incentives: incentives for flawless players, incentives for populating the playlist, and incentives for community "inclusivity."

Incentive for flawless playersCurrently, flawless cards are constantly farmed by the top echelon of PvP players in Trials. Flawless is something desired by all, but only really pushed for by the top players since most of the lower skilled players don't see being able to achieve it as possible, and average players don't see it as a time investment worth pursuing, or they simply don't have the time needed to give a "solid attempt." Once players have gone flawless on a card, the card should be marked as such, and they should be able to "play out the card" to compete with others who have gone flawless for HIGH (if it's low, the argument could be made that it would be easier to reset the card and farm more flawless cards) chances at additional adept rewards on wins. Once the card hits the 3 allowed (4 on mercy) loses, the team would need to reset. This would encourage players who have gone flawless to continue playing on their card for good rewards which would keep the top players at the end of the card and help to reduce the competitiveness at the lower end of the card.

Incentive for populating the playlistWe need more loot. No one wants to get stomped or sweat for hours only to get enough tokens for a few vendor drops and then have those drops be complete trash. Tokens NEED to be granted on losses. More tokens NEED to be granted on wins. Encourage players to play more with guaranteed loot over time. It says a lot that players are forming "suicide squads" just to get one reward and avoid the playlist as much as possible. The system needs to move back towards the Destiny 1 system where pieces of Trials gear or weapons are granted on occasional game COMPLETIONS. Note that does not say wins since this encourages early card farming similar to when Trials first returned in Season of the Worthy. Wins should have a higher chance for a random drop, but should not be required. This change should increase the overall population of trials and encourage the lower and average skilled players to remain in the playlist.

Incentive for community "inclusivity"Right now, Trials feels very exclusive. It is full of sweat and toxicity. Encourage the playlist to be more inclusive. The title requires carrying people to flawless who have never been to the lighthouse. While this is a start, it is not incentive enough. Once in a lifetime is too limited; open it up to once a week. "After going to the lighthouse, help a player to the lighthouse while they have not gone to the lighthouse this week." Make it a bounty or challenge that grants an additional adept flawless reward. If you really want to push for this kind of "inclusivity," make it an adept weapon from a different week! This would highly encourage players to assist others in getting to the lighthouse. There is currently little incentive to help others. This type of change would help push a cultural change in the playlist which is drastically needed.

TL;DR: More rewards/incentives are needed to increase and retain the population of Trials as well as encourage players to "delve" in the playlist more often.

Edit 1: After proof reading a few times, I completely missed the grammatical error in the title *facepalm*... "Trials from an Incentive Rework Perspective."

Either fix NF drop rates or stop lying to me about 'uncommon' drop rates!

    Posted: 22 Feb 2021 02:09 PM PST

If the NF specific loot is "uncommon" and enhancement prisms are "rare", I should not get 5x more prisms than strike legendary drops. I am not that lucky...

I get that farming the 1330 NF gives the best chance for strike specific loot, just saying as a solo player, farming the 1270, I should not be getting the rare drops more often then the uncommon ones.

Korean games have bad time because of the language.

    Posted: 22 Feb 2021 01:54 AM PST

Sorry for title. it was meant to be "Korean gamers".

    Hi, fellow guardians.

There are some serious problems using Korean language. I'd want to inform u/cozmo23 and u/dmg04 about this.

    So... this is start.

    1. Cannot type Korean

We can't type any Korean since Season of arrivals. This is very critical, because any of command is not working. Like "/합류" same as "/join", is not working. We cannot see our own ID because "/아이디" = "/id" also not working. Anyway, Korean chat can be pasted into destiny chatting so we can join a party but, this is not convenience.

Also, this problem was acknowledged at Season of the arrivals, in this twab. It's almost half year and still having these problems. We are using some kind of user-made program to automatically change English to Korean, like "dkssudgktpdy" to "안녕하세요". This is frustrating because these programs could be a virus or keylogging program. It's very dangerous to use, but there is no choice.

    2) Critical misreading translation

Are you guys enjoying battleground? Me too. It's one of the most fun activities in destiny. But there is very strange things happened in Korea.

there are some bosses named "unstoppable champion" but not acting like real unstoppable champion. They cannot be staggered by anti champion mods and very easy to kill.

Because they were not. Someone find out that "Unstoppable champion" is not Unstoppable. In fact, it's Unstable. This is very wrong translate. We don't know why they dropping battery. Even the dog translated into "Unstoppable beast". This is confusing a lot of people, like me.

And there are another serious misreading translation.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/hfj212/deep_stone_crypt_has_serious_misreading/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

It was wrote by me. If you curious about this, read it and i'll appreciate you guys.

TL;DR for this is "Cayde-6's last word about Deep stone crypt is translated into Deep stone password and this make every korean's mind blown because we didn't know DSC was a place, not a password"

There can be a mistake when translating, but this is so different form original mean.

    3) End

I appreciate what Bungie doing. I started this game at start of forsaken, DLC that Bungie decided to fully translate Korean and release game. I really having a good time Enjoying your games. I hope everybody safe and having a good time. thanks!

If you’re gonna constantly queue me into the Hollowed Lair, at least have the decency to let my bounties count.

Idk why the hell this isn't a daily thread on this subreddit until Bungie finally nuts up about that damn boss room.

The normal nightfall list is gone, and there isn't an Ordeal version of Hollowed lair (yet),so it's harder to efficiently farm that encounter over and over.

And I know Bungie did this on purpose, god forbid that somebody gets a basic objective they bought done in a room full of enemies.

By that logic, negate any progress with Devil's Lair and Battlegrounds kills.

Make everyone unhappy while you're at it.

I would throw money at the screen to get a kill cam in PvP. You hear me? I have years of saved up pennies just ready to throw at my monitor.

Bungie, pls fix the finest matterweaves, so that they auto use when in our inventories

    Posted: 22 Feb 2021 06:01 PM PST

It's a huge hassle to go into my inventory and use finest matterweaves (the item that guarantees enhancement cores on major kills). Its a small change, but it would be so quality of life for us guardians to NOT have to use them, but rather it just auto uses when it is inside of our inventory. Love Destiny and cant wait for more!
