Posted: 25 Mar 2021 11:06 AM PDT Source: https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/50209 This week at Bungie, it's Diplomacy or Death. Zavala has issued a challenge to Caiatl. You have been chosen to represent the Vanguard in battle against the Champion of the Cabal in a Rite of Proving. If you are victorious, this could to bring an end to the recent conflicts on Nessus. If you fail, Caiatl fills a seat on her war council in the form of Bracus Zavala. Head to the H.E.L.M. for your quest and gear up for a fight to remember. This week kicked off not only with the new Proving Grounds strike, but a round of Stasis tuning for the Crucible. Many of you have been spending time testing out the changes and readjusting your strategies in the wake of change. Warlocks have also been taking Mantle of Battle Harmony for a spin in the Iron Banner, as its Exotic perk now functions in Crucible combat. If you haven't read up on the patch notes from Tuesday's hotfix, check them out now! This week, we'll be looking at some lobby balancing changes being tested in Iron Banner and covering a fresh set of Prime Gaming rewards. Read on for more! Lobby Balancing ActIn June of 2020, we made some changes to remove skill based matchmaking from all playlists except Survival. Since the change, we've been monitoring player feedback, watching data, and getting some hands on in the Crucible to see how games felt with connection based matchmaking prioritized. A common feedback item has concerned lobby balancing, and how we distribute players among fireteams within a Crucible match. Starting today, we'll be testing out some changes to how players are split between teams once a match has been formed in Iron Banner and Iron Banner: Freelance playlists. These changes are expected to be deployed around 10:00 AM Pacific, so by the time you're reading this TWAB, they may already be in place. To give a simple explanation of the change, our current algorithm tries to make the average skill level even between the teams, which can lead to lopsided teams depending on the skill range of everyone put in the match. With the changes being deployed today, we're updating our Crucible lobby balancer to balance teams with a modified algorithm which can be compared to "School Yard Pick" or "Snake Draft". This will attempt to place the best player on team one, second best player on team two, third best player on team two, fourth best player on team one, and so on. As a note, we are making no changes to matchmaking. This is specifically a change to how players are divided among teams once a match has been formed. We'll be watching feedback over the weekend to see how players are feeling about this change in Iron Banner and we have plans to expand to more playlists once the changes are verified to have positive effects! Prime Gaming Rewards RefreshEarlier this week, Destiny 2 rewards available through Prime Gaming were updated! This month, Huckleberry is in the spotlight, featuring a sweet Exotic ornament for those who prefer black and red over white and gold. Haven't signed up yet? No sweat. Head here to link your Bungie.net account and follow directions for claiming rewards. If you've done everything right, Amanda Holliday will have a package for you containing the following:
If you have any questions or hit any snags, be sure to check the Prime Gaming Support Article on Help.Bungie.net. PANIC! at the Proving GroundsWhile Guardians are in the Proving Grounds strike taking on a Cabal Champion, Player Support is working in the background with the development team to smash any bugs that might be getting in the way of your progress. This is their report.
Black EyesRaids in Destiny are like peanut butter on jelly. You can totally just have some toast with jam or jelly, but making a sandwich with peanut butter mixed in? Perfection. This week, our winners head back to the Last Wish raid to take on Riven, but with an added challenge of only hitting eyes with melee abilities. Movie of the Week: Riven Eyes vs Hunter Melee Honorable Mention: Task Force Titan If you'd like to put your hat in the ring for a MOTW feature, please submit a post to the Creations page. Be sure to credit any Guardians in your video by putting links to Bungie.net profiles in the description. That way, we know where to dish out the emblems. Weapon & GuardianThis week, the community has something really special for you to see. Twenty-two artists collaborated to create an absolutely amazing website, showcasing each of their Guardians and their favorite tools of destruction. Art of the Week: Weapon & Guardian
Now, this one's a bit tricky as there isn't a single image to share. Click through and take a scroll. Cheers to everyone who contributed to this collaboration and thank you for sharing your work! If you're here right at publication, this is an early TWAB! We wanted to get the word out on lobby balancing as the changes went into effect, but we'll likely return to the normal "afternoon Pacific" release time next week. We've got a bit to chew on between now and then, don't we? I personally need to get a bit more time in the Crucible to see how the Stasis tuning is landing. 6v6 Crucible is one thing, but Trials will be a fun test over the weekend as I hunt for a better roll on my [REDACTED]. Oh, c'mon. You know we wouldn't spoil what the Trials rewards are before they're live! I also have a few Deep Stone Crypt raids and Grandmaster Nightfalls to get through with my clan. Fingers crossed for some Eyes of Tomorrow drops for my teammates, and I'll personally be hunting some fun rolls for the Adept Shadow Price. Until next time, fingers crossed for good loot! Not just for myself, but for you and your fireteams as well. Cheers, dmg04 [link] [comments] |

Posted: 25 Mar 2021 07:21 PM PDT Title. Edit: I imagine one technical difficulty would be that all finishers seem to result in being propelled backwards whereas this finisher would be downward. (I.e., using this on a screeb/explosive shank/cursed thrall might not end too well ha.) [link] [comments] |
We could definitely use more than 9 inventory slots for Weapons and Armor Posted: 25 Mar 2021 08:43 AM PDT Basically what the title says. With how many weapon options we have nowadays and especially with the amount of blues and legendaries we pick up, space seems a little limited. Even adding 3-6 slots would a very very long way considering how Destiny 2 is going to be supported for at least 3 more years. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Mar 2021 07:31 AM PDT It's one of the coolest guns to use in the game and is a lot of fun. It definitely didn't deserve the nerf it got. Especially since warming cells are a thing there's no reason a gun like ruinous effigy should be nerfed just bungie please buff it already. [link] [comments] |
Give Jotunn Full Court on a catalyst. Posted: 25 Mar 2021 08:16 AM PDT |
Posted: 25 Mar 2021 03:30 PM PDT Quick and easy download: Raid Dad for iOS (App Store link) A while back my friends and I posted about a web application we made called Raid Dad. Raid Dad (Destiny Analysis Dashboard 😉), is a tool to give you at-a-glance information about your fireteam's loadouts, builds, and stats, to help coordinate for Destiny raids and activities. Today we're announcing that we've brought that same great experience to a more portable and mobile form: Raid Dad for iOS (App Store link). The app is 100% free and brings some great features:
Being on a separate device from a web browser vends a lot of flexibility, I've run this on my iPad next to my desk when I'm raiding and it's really great (no more alt-tabbing!). There are no plans for Android devices unfortunately (making this iOS version was already a bunch of work), but the web interface (https://raiddad.com) works great on those devices and we will be iterating as much as we can on both Web and iOS to make it even better. Version 1.0.0 is live in the App Store right now and 1.0.1 is en route very shortly with some notable fixes:
Other known issues:
This app has been a labour of love from many of us in the Meow Pew Pew Discord and we hope you enjoy it. We'd love to hear your feedback and thoughts here (please don't post them in our Discord 😅), and if you'd like to play Destiny with us, feel free to join our Discord! Cheers. [link] [comments] |
Bungo, please make ALL Seasonal Challenges Retroactive Posted: 25 Mar 2021 03:26 AM PDT Title. We just ground out 5 Infamy Ranks in Week Five... coming in Week I know some of the challenges include progess from prior weeks, but they all should. Let me focus on playing what I want to play. Honestly, why do even legendary ghosts/sparrows/ships exists? Posted: 25 Mar 2021 09:29 AM PDT After getting back to back legendary cosmetics which are exact copy of each other for several seasons, just why? Do people even use legendary cosmetics over exotics? Honestly I may be a small sample, but over the lifetime of this game, except for new players, I have not seen a single soul equip legendary cosmetics over exotics. Not only legendary sparrows are worse, but even if you wanted something "simple", we still have several exotics like that. Bungie please, I do not want the 20 legendary ships you introduced in CoO, I will never use them. I still have several exotic cosmetics, ornaments, emotes etc. that I need to get and now that bright engram includes every season except the last 3, can we remove these stuff from them? Its already pain in the ass getting these engrams but its much more upsetting getting a dumbass legendary ghost from year 1. [link] [comments] |
We've had Barrier Sniper, Unstoppable Shotgun, When are we going to get Overload Fusion? Posted: 25 Mar 2021 05:54 PM PDT I've been a fusion rifle main since Plan C and Its just sad how Bungie has treated my baby Fusion rifles were somewhat decent in PVE, Good even with Loaded Question in the mix but, then Erentil comes on the scene Sniping left and right. Not as badly as DRB mind you but enough to get attention and so ALL FUSION RIFLE RANGES got nerfed. I've always felt that aside from Hand Cannons Fusion rifles were always Destiny's Iconic weapon because its unique to Destiny, Just wish they would get some love soon. dont even ask about LFR :( [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Mar 2021 06:53 AM PDT I'm not talking about me straight up missing my lunge, I take blame for that. I'm talking about me hitting someone while I'm in super, watching it lock on to them, watching it hit, hearing it hit, seeing the slow debuff on them, and it doing zero damage. I know the super is still good. I'm not asking for a buff, just a bug fix. If it's still too strong after that then nerf it again, I don't care. I just want consistency. [link] [comments] |
Bungie, please fix Heart of Inmost Light. Posted: 25 Mar 2021 11:49 AM PDT For those unaware, the Titan chest exotic, "Heart of Inmost Light," has the perk that "empowers" your other abilities when you use them. It makes them stronger and recharge faster. The affected abilities include melee, barricade, and grenade. The empowered buff lasts 10 seconds but you can refresh it AND strengthen it by using another of those abilities within 10 seconds of another for an Empowered x2 buff, and a third ability, empowered x3. I'm not quite sure how long this has been an issue, around a year maybe? Perhaps longer. But with Beyond light came many behemoth mains and many people drifted towards a subclass neutral exotic as there were none for behemoth specifically. With that large influx of Inmost Light users came the realization that the exotic wasn't working as it was supposed to. The empowered buff does not increase to x2 unless you activate your abilities in a specific order (I believe, or its just random) and as far as I know the empowered x3 just does not activate. Bungie, please fix this. I beg you. [link] [comments] |
Using the FULL Code of the Missile Kit Posted: 25 Mar 2021 07:26 AM PDT So everyone's running Thundercrash with Cuirass of the Falling Star, but they aren't really using the whole skill tree to its potential. Whenever you see ammo on the floor, slide over it. You instantly reload your weapon and gain a short damage buff. This works especially well with Izanagi's Burden; after loading Honed Edge x4, slide over special ammo to reload the mag. After that, you can shoot the Honed Edge x4 shot then lay into the Champion or Boss with an additional 3 shots to finish it off. Use Ballistic Slam as much as possible (it gives you super energy). I like to slam into a group of ads with my Heritage out, the major is normally weak and slightly staggered after the slam. The inertia override buff with a slug shotgun means instant death. I know this isn't exactly a revolutionary post on the subclass, but I've been using it for years and now that its popular, its annoying seeing Guardians not using the subclass to its full potential. Now that stasis has been tuned separately in PVP, can we do the same for exotic weapons? Posted: 25 Mar 2021 05:52 PM PDT Before you tell me that is already a thing, hear me out. I know some perks work differently in PvP but there are some exotics which would greatly benefit from separate balancing. Ace of Spades, Lord of Wolves, Tarrabah and Hawkmoon come to mind. Most of the reasons of why these weapons are not in a great place in PvE comes down to PvP balance. There is no reason Ace should not keep its buff when switching in PvE, the same goes for Tarrabah or Hawkmoon. Lastly, Lord of Wolves should not have horrible spray when in Release the Wolves mode in PvE, I know it was OP in PvP but I want to be able to hit my crits in PvE without whiffing half my shots. What other exotics would you like to see balanced separately? [link] [comments] |
Make 3 exotic "universal class items" Posted: 25 Mar 2021 08:18 AM PDT A cape, a bond and a mark that you'll be able to wear on any class of guardian, as a pure estheticism. They would have slightly different render to adapt to the different class models and armor and they will be the only way you can wear a different class item, just adding new possibilities to guardian customization and characterization [link] [comments] |
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the Dreaming City’s beauty? Posted: 25 Mar 2021 05:39 PM PDT I mean, after all these years it's still the most beautiful looking destination IMO. It not only changes week-to-week because of the curse schedule, but also has way more stuff to do than other destinations. It's now the only location with an ongoing public event that can be joined at any time (since Mars is gone now). It's only one of two destinations that has secret hidden objects to destroy with a particular weapon (Wish-Ender and the eggs, the other being Europa with Salvation's Grip and the mini doritos). The skybox is absolutely amazing. Now I'm not saying the other maps don't have good skyboxes (I sometimes sit at spawn and watch Jupiter spin all the way around), but there's a lot to look at in the Dreaming City's. The giant spire, the mountains, the rings of stars, etc. It's also got the longest raid in Destiny. And a dungeon, too. Both of which are really well-designed. I'm hoping they don't vault the Dreaming City at least until Lightfall, it's a spectacular destination. [link] [comments] |
I'm teaching myself to use Blender and made this last night as practice. I'm coming home, Ace. Posted: 25 Mar 2021 02:46 PM PDT 1920x1080, wallpaper size. I'll make a mobile version too if anyone's interested. Edit: Someone asked for mobile, so that's here: [link] [comments] |
You should get a Trials token for every round you win in a match Posted: 25 Mar 2021 01:33 PM PDT So basically everyone is on the same page that Trials should have more loot incentive. I think this would be a pretty simple solution. Currently you get 1 token if you win a game and 0 if you lose. So if this was implemented, the winning team would always get 5 tokens and say if the other team won 2 rounds, they would get 2 tokens. This solves the issue of teams suiciding and would definitely bring in a lot more guardians who avoid the game mode. Bungie might have to make Saint14 engrams cost a bit more to accommodate this but that would be fine. [link] [comments] |
Let us have Bracus Zavala in Tower on April 1st !! Posted: 25 Mar 2021 01:57 PM PDT We want it... NO, we need it !! Beside, add Drifter's "Whoooooh~~~~!!" for each frozen Guardian in memory of those who fell under the domination of Stasis. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Mar 2021 06:38 PM PDT I fully support people using the loadouts they want as long as I'm not having to use 2 champ mods because they refuse to use any. It seems Bungie wants to diversify our load outs in PvE by featuring certain weapons in the seasonal artifact mods. I'm okay with that. Where my support sways is when I'm doing battlegrounds or low level NFs and no other players are using champion mods. What if we were required to have at least 1 champion mod/gun equipped in order to do things like battlegrounds or nightfalls? They could match us with others who are using a mod/gun for the other champion types that are not covered by our loadout? This would obviously exclude fireteams of 3 loading into an activity because they should coordinate who is performing each role. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Mar 2021 10:02 AM PDT Heavy Handed This mod's secondary perk is active when at least one other Arc mod is socketed into this armor, or when at least one other Arc Charged With Light mod is socketed into another piece of armor you are wearing. 7 Arc While Charged with Light, regain half of your melee energy when you use a charged melee ability, consuming one stack of Charged with Light. While surrounded by multiple combatants, defeating a combatant with a Fusion Rifle, Shotgun, Sidearm, or Submachine Gun adds ammo for that weapon to your reserves. [link] [comments] |

Deep Stone Lullaby in My Singing Monsters Posted: 25 Mar 2021 08:03 PM PDT I tried my hardest to make this sound good with the limited sounds My Singing Monsters has, and the 31 measure I had to work with. Comment which songs I should try to make next! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Mar 2021 08:26 PM PDT In case anyone doesn't have the expansions and wants them, Forsaken and Shadowkeep are half off, and Beyond Light is 33% off. These offers go until April 8th. I didn't see anyone else post this so hopefully someone can take advantage of the discounts. [link] [comments] |
Every buff should show a counter. Posted: 25 Mar 2021 12:03 PM PDT Really, what's the deal with them not showing how much time is left (Killing wind, Rampage, etc) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Mar 2021 02:25 PM PDT I just want to start this off by saying I'm glad I gave Destiny 2 another shot A few years ago during my freshman year of college when Destiny 2 first released I (surprisingly) was unimpressed. I had payed full price for a game that felt no different than D1 with the exception being that many of my favorite weapons (that I had spent countless hours grinding for) were not in the game. Though I admit the beginning of the story (War with the Cabal) was different it just didn't feel like enough to keep me invested and I eventually shelved it. Fast forward to present day after years of watching expansions come out, and seeing gameplay and screenshots come up on my social media feeds I decided yesterday to reinstall and purchase all Expansions. I mean worst case i still find it boring and I'm out $70 (That's how much the Bundle for all expansions was) but at least I would have something to play. I have to say I am 100% loving my decision to get back into Destiny while it does suck that none of my old Raid buddies play anymore I have been so invested in the grind and enjoying every bit of the story/lore. And it's been a while since a game has made me feel like it's worth putting in the hours and effort to grind. [link] [comments] |
