The amount of Solar and Kinetic exotics compared to Void and Arc ones is insane, it feels like every new exotic is always either Solar or Kinetic

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 03:53 PM PDT

Some intresting facts to consider :

    • 4 years later and we only have three Exotic void primaries : Graviton Lance, Hardlight, and Le Monarque

    • of the six Season Pass exotics, all of them are solar except for Witherhoard (Kinetic) and Symmetry (Arc)

    • the last two void exotics we got are Leviathan's Breath (Season of the Undying, a year and a half ago) and Ruinous Effigy (Season of Arrivals, 8-9 months ago) similarly, Solar exotics have been much more consistent, with the last few being : Ticcu's Divination (added this season), Lament (added last season), Duality (added last season) and Tommy's Matchbook (Season of the Worthy, a year ago),

    • the overall number of Kinetic Exotics is 28, the overall number of Solar Exotics is 20, the amount of Arc Exotics is 16, and the number of overall Void Exotics is 15, both Arc and Void suffer a problem though : each has only three exotic primaries, compared to Solar which has six

So all in all, Bungie, please add more Void and Arc primary exotics in the future.

    Best moment of my marriage

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 06:20 AM PDT

My wife has been in the periphery as I've played destiny for the last 6 years or so. This last Sunday I asked if she wanted to play Destiny with me. I pestered and she relented so I set her up on my PS4 and an old TV next to my PS5. After carefully reading the descriptions, she made a warlock, painstakingly picking every feature. She doesn't play video games much outside some switch games like Mario kart and Lego Harry Potter. She hasn't played an FPS since Goldeneye and then only did slappers only. She powered through the opening mission, mostly moving sideways and looking at walls, but she did it. Once I could join her we made our way through some more new light crap and I set her up with Ticcus for the auto aim. The next night I suggested playing again and she was quicker to agree. She showed improvement and we got through Navota. Then it happened. Last night I was upstairs and feeling pretty tired, just wanting to watch some Netflix. She was hovering and finally asked me if I was planning on going back downstairs. I said I wasn't and she was visibly disappointed. Being the kind husband I enquired and she sheepishly asked, is there something we could in Destiny really quick. Two hours later we had beaten the Glassway strike and made it 20 steps through BL. The births of my children was fine and all, but this is something special.

TL/DR I convinced my non gamer wife to play destiny with me and shes hooked. No more guilt!

Thanks for the awards and encouragement!

Y’all. I’m stunned. For my birthday, my wife made me a Destiny hoodie with my class, clan, and gamertag all included (also with a Little Light to guide my way)

I'm so stoked to have this and I love the colors! Here is an album of the different aspects of the hoodie:

Deathbringer should get Chain Reaction as its catalyst

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 02:06 PM PDT

I think this would play into its exotic perk and make it both good for high damage and for add clearing. Better tracking would be nice as well because many of the orbs don't even track onto enemies right next to them.

You can't expect people to not use shotguns if most of the maps are CQB and the snipers have 45+ zoom

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 04:32 AM PDT

No need to nerf shotguns. Make them unusable on bigger maps. As much as I like sniping, sniping in D2 feels weird. The zoom is way too big, the guns feel clunky and unresponsive. Flinch is unreal, I'd rather take less flinch over bullet magnetism.

So yeah, you can do 2 things; 1, make way bigger maps where sniping is an option (crucible needs new maps anyways, it's crazy you haven't updated the map pool for so long), and 2, make snipers with smaller scopes. Nothing was more disappointing than seeing the new raid sniper with what at the time looked like a small red dot-ish scope only to find out it had extreme zooms as well.

So we have transmog coming soon - can we please have the option to re-customize our characters race, gender, etc?

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 09:01 PM PDT

Playing outriders really made me wish I could redo my main in D2, since in that you can change pretty much anything appearance wise except gender at any camp site. It could be literally the same system as transmog - but instead be a bit more of the currency since most people will only do it every once in a while - and I wouldn't complain, but 3 or 4 years of my character looking like an absolute doofus under the helmet is kind of starting to bug me tbh.

    Guardian Games question for Titan.

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 09:24 AM PDT

    Titan main here.

I was looking up information on guardian games and I get the impression there will be strike, gambit and crucible portions. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Then, I noticed that as a titan, I still had a Skullfort lying around. I also noticed that falling star can be swapped with Skullfort when your super is full. So strike are ours. Gambit was always going to be ours anyway. We were always going to lose crucible to Hunters.

So my question is: can I get the measurements for the trophy ? I need the find the right IKEA cabinet to display it.

Exotic weapons should make orbs with or without a catalyst

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 10:56 AM PDT

Title. Orbs are too important for the current meta to have older exotics that are languishing without catalysts being unable to create orbs. I'm starting directly at you (with fondness) Monarch. I shouldn't be punished for running a CwL build and an exotic primary that seems to have been... overlooked.

Seriously, Bungie. Why won’t you let me spawn anywhere else besides A on Dead Cliffs?

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 04:02 PM PDT

Even with a Shadebinder super in the garage you still decided to spawn me in the grassy area next to A.

Why do you want me at A so bad?

Is Wish 15 there? There has to be something that is preventing you from spawning me in literally any other area.

Bastion & Fusion Rifles in Destiny 2 Right Now

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 05:39 PM PDT

So, in the sandbox preview TWAB, Bungie announced that Bastion was getting a nerf, a 13% increase to the spread of the cone on it's shots. Now at it's face, that doesn't sound like a lot, but any fusion rifle player will tell you that that increase will make the gun a lot less consistent, in an already inconsistent type of gun. Bungie cited "Higher than normal usage in PvP" as the reason for this nerf, and by the sounds of it, they want to hit it more later ("so are making a small change here and will revisit Bastion later"). This is what I would really like to dive into right now.

I don't know why Bungie is surprised that Bastion has higher than normal usage when it is literally the ONLY KINETIC FUSION RIFLE, and we are currently in the Season of the Energy weapons. So if someone who enjoys fusions gets a fancy new Igneous Hammer or Bottom Dollar, doesn't like Astral and/or is bad at sniping, they will probably reach for the Bastion.

Not only that, but currently there is only two truly viable fusion rifles in the game right now, and one of those two is a legendary you can't even get anymore. Glacioclasm is a really good fusion rifle, the successor of the Legend himself: the Erintil FR4. The only problem is, it's a dawning exclusive, which means that until December you won't be able to get your hands on one, and even then you have to turn over a metric ton of cookies in those 3 weeks and PRAY that you get a Glacio and then PRAY that it has relevant perks. Fusion rifle aficionados have been left pretty aggressively in the dust since sunsetting, and now Bungie is nerfing the one gun that is accessible to players who might want to try fusions. Other archetypes of fusions aren't even anywhere close to being competitive, inconsistencies and issues with range when shotguns like Felwinters exist make them hilariously irrelevant. Therefore, if you want to play with fusions at any kind of competitive level, the only options are Glacioclasm, or Bastion, and if you're a new player your only option is Bastion.

I know Bastion gets a lot of hate, a lot of players don't like it, and that's fine, I understand it can be annoying to play against. I would argue that instead of nerfing a unique exotic, a better option would be to look into introducing more Fusion Rifles into the game, and make them accessible more than 3 weeks out of the year.

It's become a meme around here, "Due to the prominence of 120 RPM Hand Cannons we've decided to nerf fusion rifles". But at this point, they're basically irrelevant due to not having any that are usable and farmable. The one that people could use is becoming inherently more inconsistent, which will turn more people off of the weapon type. I am really hoping next season we get one or two really killer Fusion Rifles, with good perks and stats, that can get more people trying this, in my opinion, super fun weapon type and bring them back a little bit to prominence.

I'd be happy to hear what other people think, I just feel this has been a sadly under utilized archetype since sunsetting, and I'm really hoping that changes.

Bungie Has Telegraphed the Events of Season 15 Leading Into Witch Queen

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 09:02 AM PDT

I'm willing to put money that Season 15, the last season before Witch Queen, is going to involve three major plot points, the Curse on the Dreaming City being broken, Mara Sov making a grand return (again), and Uldren finding out all of his past and taking on the mantle of Hunter Vanguard.

    The Curse

Bungie likes numbers. There's no way they've forgot about Wish 15, especially with how excited the community is to see it be added to the game. Let me stress this now, IT IS NOT IN THE GAME CURRENTLY. The triumph for it was removed ages ago, you're not going to find some grand in game plot to unlock the final wish wall combination. That being said, it's way, WAY, too alluring on the end of Bungie to not make Wish 15 come into play with Season 15 and a Dreaming City focus right before Savathun makes her grand entrance in the next expansion. Especially with all the events unfolding right now with Uldren.

    Mara Sov

Mara, if you took the time to listen to all of Osiris' reports in Zavala's office last season, left a message saying she's returning soon to end things. We know she left to prepare for the battle coming with Savathun after the events of Forsaken. The last season of the year, if Arrivals is anything to go off of (I think it is), will heavily build exposition for the next expansion. The Dreaming City is the one major loose end we have with Savathun. Savathun is cunning, she's smart enough to not show herself directly, and she doesn't need to due to her nature and how she gains strength. The only way she's going to come out of hiding is if we force her hand. Mara knows this, and the Dreaming City is the perfect staging ground to make it happen because of Savathun's presence there.

    Uldren Becoming Hunter Vanguard

This is plain as day. While you can argue that Savathun technically killed Cayde, I doubt Bungie is going to dig down that many layers of plot for this (even though they jokingly made mention of making Savathun the Hunter Vanguard in a lore card). Uldren is unique in that he is a Hunter who admires the Vanguard and wants to serve humanity. He wants to be apart of saving the last city. He has all the traits that a Hunter Vangaurd should have that Hunters don't typically have. Most importantly, he pulled the trigger on Cayde. This year has been slowly making us love Uldren, now Crow, and him gaining the respect of the big players out on the field. Us, Osiris, Zavala, and even Ikora. This will concluded his character arc for this year that Bungie has been telling with one grand culmination.

    How It's Gonna Go Down

Nothing is simple with Savathun. There will be plot twist, but the over arching story being told is already set in place. If I had to break it down into story beats, it would go like this:

    • Mara returns to the system, Eris and Elsie flock to her side. The three of them armed with more knowledge than most in the system formulate a plan to draw out Savathun. The Dreaming City will be the staging ground. They have to beat her in cunning if they stand any chance. Mara is strong beyond our belief, Bungie hasn't played all their cards with her yet, and she's the definition of a Mary Sue. Eris is unmatched in Hive knowledge and has already pledged to Mara as her Queen. Elsie has invaluable knowledge of future events, and Mara has already made mention of a dream in which she would come to befriend The Stranger in the future during her court visits back during Forsaken.
    • Through a series of events, plot twist, and a repetitive seasonal activity - we reach a turning point in which the Curse is about to be broken.
    • I'd wager that Uldren will play a pivotal role in breaking the curse along side us, due to him being the one who set the series of events in motion albeit he was a pawn of Savathun. During the course of the season, he will be made aware of his past life and try to atone by breaking the curse on his people. The final wish, Wish 15, will be breaking the curse on the dreaming city. Remember that Riven is still around and bound to us.
    • The Curse will break and Savathun will be alluded to coming soon (Witch Queen). Uldren, now atoned for his past, respected by the Vanguard, and shunned by Mara for no longer being his brother but a lowly Guardian, will take on the mantle of Hunter Vanguard. He's now aware of his part in Cayde's death and vows to take up the mantle and do his part in protecting the Last City. They've been making this obvious ever since Season of the Hunt, and the recent cutscene with Zavala has progressed this further.

Can Orpheus Rig get a consistency buff?

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 11:16 AM PDT

If being capped at 50% regen makes it balanced, so be it. But in its current state if you pick up any substantial amount of orbs or regen any super before rigs gets its benefit in you do not get the full (or even close to full) benefit of rigs.

This leads to rigs being super inconsistent when compared to shards of galanor, phoenix protocol, ursa, etc.

If the exotic would just not be able to regen more than 50% by itself, but it would still work while super energy is above 50% it would be so much better.

Or even better would just be to raise the cap to 75% akin to phoenix or ursa

Chaos Reach should not hit through walls neither should Silence & Squall freeze through walls

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 01:00 AM PDT

    Basically what title says.

Chaos Reach is already kind of hard to deal & combined that with Thresh + Super Cancel + Nezerac/Mantle + Geomag swap, its really get hard to play in 3v3 gamemodes especially.

A bad chaos reach super activation should be punished, instead they get away with kills us through walls, its the same as glacial quake pre-nerf jumping in the face and activating super and Freezing everyone.

Silence and squall is not far behind,Even if successfully dodge and get behind cover This super still freezes us,moreover if the hunter DIES in super the Tornado still keeps going and kills us,why do others super disappear when user dies and this one doesn't....?.

You can make it so that first karma throw sends out a pulse/wave which freezes instead of insta freeze whatever is in radius(which is huge) and even through walls.

These quality of life improvements can go a long way to remove some of the pain points in PVP.Thanks for reading this.

Veles Labyrinth is the Legend Lost Sector Tomorrow - EZ Exotics

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 09:04 AM PDT

As stated in the title, tomorrow (15/4/2021) the legend (1300) lost sector is Veles Labyrinth which is probably the easiest LLS as it can be completed in less than 2 mins using the video linked as a guide.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-HPS8xFAts

    You will need:

    - Hunter on bottom tree void and gambler's dodge

    - Subzero Salvo with Ambitious Assassin to quickly kill the barrier knights

    - Stompees to make the jump up the cliff to avoid spawning the unstop ogre

    - Izzi and a solar weapon for the wizzy (not sure whether u need catalyst or not)

Also, if your inventory is already filled with engrams any exotics earned will be sent to the postmaster. You can store them there until the MASTER (1330) is dropping the exotic armour piece you want e.g if the master on the 15th is dropping chest but you want helmet, wait until the master is dropping helmet before decrypting your stored engrams at the postmaster

Do I have to use stompees? Yes, I tried dragon's shadow to cut down on time loss on reloading but stompees makes the cliff jump super easy and consistent

Why subzero salvo? The lost sector will always have arc burn and it's an arc weapon so ez kill on champs

Any questions feel free to leave a comment or message me. GL guardians!

Note - I did not come up with this strat, totally stole it from Jez and his 'I did the same lost sector for 8 hours' stream

For all hunters who are not aware of the power of the 2 tailed fox

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 10:17 PM PDT

Since rockets got buffed this season, they've actually had competitive dps, and whilst they've certainly got a lot of attention, I feel that the power of a certain exotic rocket has gone under the radar.

Two Tailed Fox is unique in that it fires 2 rockets in a burst, one void rocket, that suppresses targets, and one solar, that burns targets. The second rocket, the solar rocket, is responsible for an almost broken synergy as a result of its burn effect, conveniently proccing Way of a Thousand Cuts (Middle Tree Gunslinger)'s The Burning Edge, which refunds dodge energy on burn damage. You can see how this works.

In terms of what you'll need:

    • 100 Mobility (Powerful friends can help with this)
    • Sixth Coyote
    • Two Tailed Fox
    • Middle Tree Gunslinger with Marksman's Dodge

Other, beneficial, but not necessary things to have:

    • High strength (Radiant light can help with this)
    • Incendiary grenade
    • Double rocket finder/reserves/scavenger
    • Bolstering Detonation/Focusing Strike (Void Arm Mods)
    • A warmind weapon and burning cells (This requires high health ads, as most tend to die to the detonation, which isn't useful. I wouldn't recommend this, but it's there if you want to try it)

Simply make sure to have both dodges prior to the damage phase, using your grenade and melee to accelerate dodge regen if you don't. Then just fire, dodge repeatedly until whatever you were shooting at stops moving.

It can sometimes help to burn your target at right as the dps phase begins by throwing your knives or an incendiary grenade to begin your dodge cooldown immediately, rather than once the rocket hits the target.

Assuming my calculations were correct, this combination totals at ~21.7k dps on Kalli, which when compared to /u/IAMADragonAMAA's DPS Spreadsheet, makes this combo the best single damage weapon in the game, and outperforms combos such as Sniper/Anarchy (Assuming no vorpal) and 1xSlug/Anarchy. This leaves your kinetic/energy slot open to whatever you want to run.

I hope this guide helps those who have not realised the power of 2TF in the current sandbox.

TL:DR: Sixth Coyote + Two Tailed Fox + Middle Tree Gunslinger = Budget Autoloading

Remove tracking from frozen enemies in PvP.

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 09:21 PM PDT

The tracking on frozen targets is the most overlooked part of Stasis in my opinion. Being able to freeze someone around a corner is annoying, but being able to see if they are actually frozen through a wall and when they break free is an advantage no one should have. This is a pretty simple idea and it surely wouldn't balance the subclass completely but I think it would be a good change nonetheless.

I should note that the tracking from One-Eyed Mask was removed and that exotic is in a pretty decent place right now.

So Yesterday I Won an Elimination Match By Using Emotes...

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 03:07 PM PDT

This was one of the most memorable moments for me in Destiny - hell, in gaming. After both of my teammates left, I thought I'd offer a truce to the enemy team and hope they wouldn't blast me in the face. And somehow they accepted and never broke the ceasefire! I couldn't stop laughing afterwards.

I don't know if the enemies left as a mercy to me, but between that and simply not going for the easy kill, thank you. You guys were awesome. These sorts of emergent social situations are some of the best times you can have in multiplayer games, where people pause their competitiveness and remember that behind each screen is a human playing a game for fun. Cheers, Guardians!

    Crimson Recoil Bugged on PC

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 12:52 PM PDT

I don't know how long this has been in the game for, but I have never seen it mentioned by anyone so I might as well bring it up. So basically it seems as if Crimson's recoil animation is tied to FOV, as the higher your FOV is, the higher the gun seems to bounce up when firing, so at max FOV it is pretty much unusable because the recoil is blocking the sights of the gun.

I tested the gun at 55 FOV, and it seemed perfectly fine, I could still see the sight on the gun while firing. However, when I moved the FOV up to the max of 105, the recoil got in the way of the red dot, making the gun really hard to use.

By posting this, I hope I can shed some light on this because I have never seen it mentioned before. Hopefully this can get fixed eventually.

With time getting short, be SURE you check off the weekly Presage triumphs before beginning your next Presage run!

    Posted: 14 Apr 2021 12:03 PM PDT

My son isn't always great about claiming triumphs; I'm pretty OCD about it. Seeing the steps marked complete in week 1, we made our week 2 run together. I got credit, he didn't. I looked at his list, and it turns out he did not claim the completed triumph (Figments of an answer). That meant the next step remained "secret" and he is now a week behind me, as a result.

I have also seen some posts from people wondering what is happening.

It's not that big a deal, but with the clock starting to run short, it is getting to the stage where a mistake like this could block completing the Graven Scrawl weekly challenge.

In general, it's always a Good IdeaTM to keep up on checking off Triumphs and Challenges. You don't want to miss a seal, XP, or Bright Dust award because you forgot to check a box.
