If the Light subclasses get a similar treatment to the Dark subclasses, please don't get rid of the nice looking art of the supers.

That's what is missing from the Stasis screen. It's cool seeing our Guardian in the back, but I honestly would prefer seeing a nice piece of art of the super.

Ghost Projection bright dust prices are way too steep

    Posted: 13 Apr 2021 04:55 PM PDT

Just a quick gripe here. This week there is a cool Taurus ghost projection in the Eververse and, being a Taurus, I thought it would be cool to own, but holy spumoni, 1,500 bright dust?? The universal helmet ornament is only 1,200! The exotic Divinity ornament is 1,250! Who came up with these Ghost Projection prices? I did some quick napkin math to figure out what a projection should actually be worth, based on the Silver prices for the universal armor ornament set and Ghost Projection bundle.

Armor Ornaments (full set): 1,500 Silver, 300 Silver per ornament.

Ghost Projection Bundle (5 projections): 500 Silver, 100 per projection.

Based on these numbers a Ghost Projection is worth a third of what a Universal Armor Ornament is worth, and should sell for 400 Bright Dust (1,200/3). Instead, this weeks Ghost Projection is worth a full 300 Bright Dust more than the Helmet ornament.

Ghost Projections are cool, but you really don't see them that often, and I find a 1,500 Bright Dust cost impossible to justify. I consider a Ghost Projection on par with a Transmat Effect, which are worth 450 Bright Dust. I would love to purchase some new Ghost Projections (my best projections are still the SIVA and crane projections I got two years ago during Season 6), but as a casual player there's no way I could ever buy a Ghost Projection at the current bright dust prices.

Been doing a lot of solo or LFG because my current clan is US based. I have a 3 month old daughter so raiding at 1am is not an option anymore.

Le Monarch really needs an ornament

    Posted: 13 Apr 2021 06:18 PM PDT

I'm not usually one to advocate more things for the Eververse store but the 3-5 people (me included) that enjoy using this bow would really like an ornament for this thing.

Maybe something that offers a less cluttered looking crosshair? Sometimes I feel like it's difficult to track with the thing when getting swarmed by opponents.

Can we see scope customization make a return in the future? It seems like it was just forgotten.

    Posted: 13 Apr 2021 06:08 AM PDT

I feel like scope customization on guns was a feature that was taken for granted and now that some gun types are in such poor state due to the lack of variety, (Ex. Snipers) they could use a couple scope options to help alleviate the problem.

Now that Quickdraw is being nerfed, can we get QuickCharge looked at? (

    Posted: 13 Apr 2021 05:31 AM PDT

Fallout did a recent video here(starts @ 4:50), showing what you can do to try and replicate Quickdraw. QuickCharge, a 5-slot mod, is supposed to "Greatly increase the ready speed of Fusion Rifles, Shotguns, Submachine guns, and Swords."

Looking at Fallouts video, it doesn't increase the ready speed at all. Can we confirm if this mod is bugged?

All Seasonal Challenges in Season of the Chosen are now available.

    Posted: 13 Apr 2021 02:00 PM PDT

    Important:

    • There are a total of 77 Seasonal Challenges (Technically 78 if you count 'Master Of All')

'Master Of All' requires you to complete 75 Seasonal Challenges and rewards 4,000 Bright Dust. This means you can skip at most 2 Seasonal Challenges and still get that Bright Dust.

    • In Week 7, there is a Challenge where you must get 50 kills with Sidearms or Linear Fusion Rifles and get a few Nightfall completions ONLY in the Proving Grounds Strike.

Proving Grounds is this weeks Nightfall. If you do not plan on doing Grandmaster Proving Grounds, this week is likely your last chance to complete this Proving Grounds challenge.

    • There are Seasonal Challenges that can only be completed in the Iron Banner, and the final Iron Banner of Season 13 is active right now. This week is your last chance to complete these Iron Banner Challenges.

Also, double Valor is active right now. You can knock out the challenge for five major Crucible rank ups while working on these Iron Banner challenges. This challenge is called 'Become Legend'

If you have any more advice on available challenges, feel free to put them in the comments.

A Definitive Guide on How to Create PvE Builds - Elemental Well Edition (New Mods Added in Season of the Chosen)

    Posted: 13 Apr 2021 10:41 AM PDT

    What Are They?

Elemental Wells are a new paradigm of combat mods added this season (Season of the Chosen). Unlike previous combat mods added to the game, Charged with Light and Warmind Cells, Elemental Well mods are not tied to any affinity (Arc, Solar, or Void). These mods are still in their infancy, and I believe Bungie plans to expand on them just as they did last year with CwL builds. With that being said, there is already powerful builds to be made with these; however, they do rely on the strength of existing mods in the CwL system. Think of Elemental Wells as a catalyst for CwL builds as they exist now.

    General Purpose

Elemental well mods all share one same added benefit in that collecting an elemental well increases the energy of your abilities. A caveat though, Elemental Wells function differently when matching your subclass to the type of Elemental Well you collect.

    • Non-Matching Element Well
      • Grants ability energy to your ability with the lowest current charge
    • Matching Elemental Well
      • Grants ability energy to all of your abilities

There is other added benefits to be gained when matching elements, and it is an absolute necessity with these mods to make them useful. Thankfully though, the type of Elemental Well you create is deterministic, not random. They match the element of the source that generates them be it a weapon, grenade, or super. Additionally, Elemental Wells you create are also created for your teammates and vice versa. A teammate collecting an Elemental Well you made does not make it disappear on your screen, both of you are able to collect it. Think of them as Orbs of Power for your abilities instead of your super.

    The Mods

Currently, there is only six Elemental Well mods, all affinity agnostic. These are the following:

    Charge Mods

    • Elemental Charge
      • Become CwL when collecting an Elemental Well
        • Matching Element: Receive 2x stacks of CwL

    Elemental Mods

    • Elemental Ordnance
      • Create an Elemental Well matching your subclass type when landing a grenade final blow
    • Elemental Light
      • Create an Elemental Well matching your subclass type when landing a final blow with your super
    • Elemental Armaments
      • Create an Elemental Well matching your subclass type when landing a final blow with a weapon that also matches your subclass type

    Font Mods

    • Font of Might
      • Collecting an Elemental Well that matches your subclass type provides a 10% damage boost for 10 seconds (Note: please correct me on the duration if I am wrong, I'm going off memory for this)
        • This 10% damage boost STACKS with other damage boost unlike most damage sources in the game
    • Font of Wisdom
      • Collecting an Elemental Well that matches your subclass type gives you 100 intellect for 30 seconds
        • Before you start thinking it, Elemental Wells do not work in PvP as you cannot generate them

As we continue with the remaining seasons this year, I expect new mods to be added to the Font category to expand on what this new mod system can do. Bungie has not confirmed this, I am simply going off their previous track record.

Stacks on Stacks on Stacks on Stacks

Recall that I said Elemental Well mods are still in their infancy. With that being said, there is still one very important, and very strong, synergy with them that extends into CwL builds that can benefit them in a number of ways. I'm speaking of instantly getting 4x stacks of CwL. Here's the setup:

    Elemental Well Mods

    • Elemental Charge
      • Recall - matching this to your subclass type gives you 2x stacks of CwL instead of 1 when collecting the Elemental well
    • Elemental Ordnance
      • The easiest and most consistent way to generate an Elemental Well
        • Elemental Armaments is restrictive, requiring you to match your weapon to your subclass type, as well as not guaranteed on all kills. This operates under the same system as the Warmind Cell Counter in that you need ~5 kills to generate one. Red bars count as 1, Orange bars count as 2, and a yellow bar counts as 5. You can opt for this mod instead if you feel that you can't easily get grenade kills
        • Elemental Light has low uptime. You're only able to generate Elemental Wells when your super is active and you're getting kills with it

    Charged with Light Mods

    • Supercharged - Solar
      • Allows you to hold a maximum of 4x stacks of CwL
    • Stacks on Stacks - Void
      • Anytime you gain a stack of CwL, you gain 2

Here's how it comes together. Because of Elemental Charge, you gain not 1, but 2 stacks of CwL when collecting an Elemental Well that matches your subclass type. Stacks on Stacks will double this to 4x stacks so long as you have Supercharged slotted to increase your total CwL stack limit. You can get an instant 4x stack of CwL for yourself and your teammates all for the cost of one grenade. This is by far the fastest way to gain 4 stacks of CwL.

    Using Your Stacks

Since you are easily, and repeatedly, getting yourself topped off at 4x stacks of CwL, there is a number of mods you can take advantage of. To list a few:

    • High Energy Fire
      • You will have 4 kills at 20% increased weapon damage
        • Remember that a stack of CwL isn't expended until you land a final blow, making this great for dealing with high health enemies
        • This can pair with Font of Might if you choose for a total damage increase of 32% (buffs stack are multiplicative, so 1.2 * 1.1 = 1.32). Edit: You'll have to give up one of your other combat mod slot to do this, but I wanted to put it out there as an option. I don't recommend it personally
    • Energy Converter
      • Admittedly, both of these require throwing a grenade, so this may not be the best synergy; however, there is builds where this can work such as Sunbracers grenade spam.
      • Since you have 4x stacks, you will get ~40% super energy (doesn't work past 50% on your super bar)
    • Surprise Attack
      • Not as strong as it once was (was 100%, now 35%), but 4x stacks will give you a substantial amount of bonus damage rounds to your sidearm. Given the strength of sidearms in PvE, this is worth remembering for next time they are in the champion mod rotation. Consider pairing this with Devil's Ruin for a good time
    • Lucent Blade
      • A near permanent 35% damage increase on your sword. If you chose to use Elemental Armaments, you can match your sword to your subclass type for even more up time as you will already be in range to keep picking up Elemental Wells
    • Argent Ordnance
      • Rocket Launchers are strong now, and this mod gives them 20% more damage as well as max reload speed. Since you have 4x stacks, you will have 4x rockets with this damage boost and max reload speed
      • This mods stacks on multiple copies, but it's not worth it due to the high energy cost and diminishing returns. The main strength of this mod is the max reload speed
    • Protective Light
      • This mod scales in duration with the more stacks you have. More up time on this mod is definitely a good thing
    • Extra Reserves
      • A very easy way to generate special ammo for your team without having to get in close to use a finisher (Special Finisher, Aeon Gauntlets). The more stacks you have, the higher your chance of creating special ammo
      • Works incredibly well for weapons that chew threw special ammo i.e., Izanagi's Burden or Fourth Horseman

    Interesting Pairings

If you opted to take my advice and went the Elemental Ordnance route, there's a few easy ways to generate Elemental Wells with grenades as well as some interesting builds. To name a few:

    • Contraverse Hold
      • Run top tree void Warlock with Vortex grenades
    • Stasis Wall Grenades
      • Shattering these walls counts as a grenade kill if it kills an enemy and spawns a Stasis flavored Elemental Well
      • Pairs nicely with the fragment that increases grenade regeneration when shattering a Stasis crystal
    • Ashen Wake
      • Recharges your fusion grenades on a fusion grenade kill. Always be looking to finish off an enemy with your fusion grenade.
      • If you go the High Energy Fire route, you can always finish an enemy with a fusion grenade to avoid consuming a stack of CwL for a weapon final blow with High Energy Fire active. Permanent High Energy Fire up time! Consider pairing with either middle or bottom tree solar
    • Near 100% Up Time on Stasis Hunter Super
      • Shatter a Glacier grenade to get 4x stacks of CwL from Elemental Wells, throw out your super, throw a grenade to proc Energy Converter, and wait for the super restore from the artifact mod after your tornado ends. You'll get close to full super energy back if your tornado is getting kills. You can also run Dynamo on your void helmet and dodge near enemies to get more super back, or Ashes to Assets on Solar to get super back from kills when shattering your Glacier grenade

    Closing Comments

If you think of any other interesting pairings, please share them! There's plenty more I know of that I didn't go over as to keep the list short. As I said already, Elemental Well mods aren't at their final form. I'm excited to see what else is added to them as they go. They have the makings for great build diversity, and it's already shown how strong they can be.

    Previous Guides

I'm working on a series of guides on how to properly gear yourself in this game and tackle harder content. If you interested in my previous post, feel free to give them a read. The next topic I'm looking to tackle is proper gearing for PvP and what you should look for in 6v6 modes versus 3v3. If you have something you'd like a detail write up about, please let me know. I love getting to make these! I'm debating putting my professional background to good use and creating a website which allows you to create and share builds, perhaps something similar to mobafire for League of Legends.

If we are building a coalition with the Cabal against the Darkness/Hive, the Cabal should bring rocks from the Proving Grounds strike, and we should bring TR3-VR.

Rocks are OP. TR3-VR is terrifying and unstoppable.

    The Darkness/Hive won't stand a chance.

    VoG and Crotas End

    Posted: 13 Apr 2021 09:55 PM PDT

My core raid group finally all got everything we needed from DSC (I was the last to get EOT after 65 raids) so we took one of our members through VoG and Crota she had never played Destiny 1!

She tried to level all week and came in decently leveled with only one or two exotics, but no matter. Shook the rust off! Finished VoG in 45 minutes, Crota in about 40 (lamp section was tough since her husband rushed ahead).

So much fun and nostalgia! I got a dragons breath from Crota and not much else, but she was ecstatic to get chatterwhite (she rocked it through Crota) and just playing again was fun. I even had some engrams and bounties to turn on from my last day in D1, which was the day before D2 dropped.

The frame rate and little things like grabbing a hold to the edge of things was not fun. You don't realize how refined D2 is until you try D1 again. I did love having 3 rockets in the chamber and icebreaker again though! Those old raids seem so simple now and the mechanics are just beginner level. While I love VoG for nostalgia, all the newer raids are just designed better. It's obvious Bungie learned a ton as time went on. Next week we will try Wrath of the Machine and maybe Kings Fall if we are true gluttons for punishment.

    Worldbosses with specific loot.

    Posted: 13 Apr 2021 02:54 PM PDT

That is all. That's all we need to get some people playing with randoms in patrol again. All we need to have some fun grouping up, riding our sparrows, killing a cool boss and hoping for a cool drop.

A big boss with some mechanics that takes like 4-6 average guardians on patrol to kill. Bring back the pre House of Wolves feeling of hunting those treasure keys in patrol. Everyone riding around looking for the boss at specific times of day. Maybe just a few days of the week. It would be amazing Bungo. Do that. Subtract one new lost sector and put the resources into this. The next new exotics could drop that way as well as a specific legendary weapon or armor piece that only comes from that specific boss. Replayable content. I will even play it after I've gotten my drops and help others for fun.

The title says it all, I personally think its kinda ridiculous that the only way to view all the exotic armor ornaments I have is to go through each armor piece and check to see what I have

    FAQ

    What is the Iron Banner?

    • Iron Banner is a week-long Crucible event in Destiny 2 that offers its participants unique rewards. More info can be read right over at Bungie.net

    • The game mode is an unique variant of Control - Control all three zones, and the Hunt will begin. The zones are locked down for 15 seconds, before they are reset to neutral state.

    • Unlike all other Crucible modes, Power Level matters. Meaning you will deal less and take more damage if you are below the Power Level of your opponent.

How Long does Iron Banner last?

    • Event Starts: Tuesday at Weekly Reset (1700 UTC).

    • Event Ends: Following Tuesday at Weekly Reset (1700 UTC).

Where do I go to find Guardians to game with in the Iron Banner?

    • You can head over to /r/Fireteams, www.The100.io, Xbox LFG system, DestinyLFG.net or DestinyLFG.com, or go to the Bungie.net recruitment forum (also available through the Bungie App).

What if I have a question about another piece of armor/weapon or general Iron Banner question?

    • Use Control + F (Or Command + F if on a Mac) and search for keywords in your question. Someone may have asked it already. If they haven't ask right below.

    Seasonal Bounty

    • Each season features a seasonal quest you can pick up from Lord Saladin. After each quest step, you will be rewarded with an armor piece from the current season.

    • Progress will carry over to subsequent Iron Banners in the same season, but the quest will expire at the end of the season.

How to earn Iron Banner Tokens

    Match Completions:

    • Upon completing an Iron Banner Crucible match, players will be awarded with Iron Banner Tokens to turn in to Lord Saladin. While all Iron Banner match completions award tokens, wins award more tokens than losses.

      • Wins reward 5 Tokens.
      • Losses reward 3 Tokens.

    Weekly Bounties:

    • Players may earn additional Iron Banner Tokens by completing the Weekly Iron Banner Bounties. These can be completed on each character.

      • Weekly Bounty Reward - 50 Tokens
      • Each Weekly Bounty also rewards a piece of Pinnacle Gear.
    • There are seven different weekly bounties, of which four are available each IB. See below for a list!

    Available from Lord Saladin:

Lord Saladin oversees the Iron Banner. He appears in the tower, up the stairs to the right of the Gunsmith to bring Guardians Iron Banner based Weapons and Armor.

    Faction Rewards

Turn in 20 Tokens to get an Iron Banner engram, which contains randomly rolled weapons. After you've finished the seasonal quest, you can also receive randomly rolled armor.

I shouldn't be penalized if my teammate in freelance comp leaves the match and we lose.

Could be an unpopular opinion, but I shouldn't lose glory if a teammate quits or disconnects from a freelance comp match. It's more frustrating than a fair loss.
