Sunday Plz - Increase Teleport Cooldown on Overload/Powerful Tier Enemies

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 02:00 AM PDT

    Greetings Guardians!

Ever since the conception of this sub, we've dealt with floods of reposts. We're sure you're familiar with them. Many are for important issues that are shared by the entire player base, while others are just for personal requests and desires for the game. The Bungie Plz was shortly implemented after conception as a central "wish-list" for all that we, the community, desired. It is completely user driven. With rare exceptions, nearly all submissions are sent in by you, the users of this subreddit!

However, just like Destiny 2, our wiki article began to experience problems as it grew over time. It's been getting just a few sizes too big. We understand that the continued addition of topics has begun to encroach on your ability to continue the conversation towards matters that mean the most to you, and even though the Bungie Plz has seen so many successes over the years, with well over 100 officially implemented game suggestions and desires, there's still dozens upon dozens of retired topics that haven't seen the light of day for many months...even years!

Every Sunday, this thread will focus on a certain retired Bungie Plz topic of your choosing, voted by the users. We will curate a list of 5 suggestions to help focus your voting process, but you get the final say on what is talked about each week. By all means, if one topic is overwhelmingly desired despite not being part of those 5 items we picked, then we'll be happy to go with that one. Our curated list is only to help you focus the conversation. The only stipulation is that the topic must be new every week. This thread is for the entirety of the Bungie Plz wiki, so no back-to-back voting!

Think of these threads as a way to keep the spark alive, and to bring old topics up to fresh light. For example, do we still want to move Queenbreaker to the special slot? Or does Arbalest serve that purpose well enough now? Do we still want an all-black shader, or do we want a character barbershop more?

You tell us! This is your conversation, guardians.

For this week, you voted on:

Increase The Teleport Cooldown for Overload/Powerful Tier Enemies

For next week, here are some suggestions:

    • Buff Tarrabah
    • Add Legendary Trace Rifles
    • Bring back the Prismatic Matrix
    • Allow Sleeper and Outbreak to generate Warmind Cells
    • Nerf/Reduce enemy boss stomps

Sound off in the sticky comment for which one sounds good (just give us a moment to put it up), or anything else in the Bungie Plz wiki that catches your eye, and we'll do our best to accommodate!

This post brought to you by right vent gang.

Edit: I didn't expect this to blow up. And yes, it is a scientific fact that right vent is better. Sorry, leftists.

Edit 2: Calling on all right ventists, block the left vent and allow no one through!

Nothing comes close to being a destiny killer.

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 10:53 AM PDT

Anthem = dead. Outriders = nothing really engaging. Marvels avengers = erm no.

Nothing even comes close, the gunplay, the movement, the weapons, the abilities, the destinations.

Yeah we have our complaints but we all come back every season or even every week to do pinnacles. For as much as it can be a grind especially with power creep (tha k god thats changing next season) nothing has ever come close to being near as good.

    Stained Glass Ikora Art Piece

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 01:57 PM PDT

Over the past 2 months I've been making a stained glass painting piece of Ikora that is now finally finished.

    The finished piece

It was designed by Drew Soman on Twitter who gave me permission to create this glass version which stands at 81cm tall.

I hope you all enjoy and I can't wait for Ikora to get a role in the story again <3

(Also yes I am Kimber Prime on Twitter to avoid confusion if anyone sees it there, it's not stolen art I just have a different reddit name).

Remove Glimmer cost from applying a Mod and add it to the API

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 03:39 AM PDT

Bungie does not allow destructive operations to be made through their open API. This means that services such as DIM cannot perform any operations that delete or consume any items. One such operation is applying mods to a weapon or a piece of gear since that costs 500 glimmer.

Removing the cost of that operation would mean that it would no longer be destructive and could be added to the API. In turn, applications such as DIM could integrate with that API to allow having loadouts with the same pieces of gear but different mods, encouraging having different builds (even with the same pieces of gear).

    I love seeing new players

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 12:09 PM PDT

If your aren't aware playstation is doing a spring sale, destiny 2 is apart of that and it includes everything from forsaken and on (I think beyond light is included)

As a destiny 1 veteran it's so cool to see new lights in activities. I have been grinding to get the god roll royal entry and god roll heretic and the amount of new lights I have seen is honestly awesome. I love loading into a strike or loading into the alter of sorrows and seeing level 8s running around. The fact that people are just now starting off almost 7 years into a game that I have almost played daily since it's release is genuinely amazing.

How many of us only do raids for fun?

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 07:33 AM PDT

The loot really doesn't matter to me when I do raids. Like I could do 20 runs, not get anything and still be happy.

It seems like I'm the only one of my friends who's like this though, for example none of them want to do any D1 raids because they think it's pointless since the loot doesn't matter. Also people prioritize getting it done fast rather than having a good time. Like Riven is one of the best experiences I've ever had with a video game, but no one ever wants to do it the "real" way.

Just curious if anyone else feels this way

Why is so much of Europa unused?

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 03:08 PM PDT

So, I just went and once again looked at every corner of Europa and well.....its huge. But I really don't understand what bungie was thinking. The whole fallen city and the clovis facility are completely empty when taking about playable content. Why is there no dungeon? No strikes? There is so much unused potential, the whole planet just feels half baked which is really sad considering it's beautiful aesthetics

Stasis has ruined Bubble-Titaning in PvP for me

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 05:18 PM PDT

This is a shitpost and I'm just complaining and I apologize in advance.

I love running bubble Titan in PvP. Twas my favorite.

But no one respects the bubble anymore. And why should they? Anyone can just waltz right in, throw down a coldsnap or glacial grenade, freeze me inside, and then shotgun / shatterdive me.

The days of punching anyone who dared to enter and laughing maniacally the entire time are done. It's so disappointing.

    Carry on.

Playing against Eyes of Tomorrow in Gambit feels bad.

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 10:51 AM PDT

Now, I'm certainly far from the best in Gambit, but after playing it for multiple hours this week while trying to reset my rank, I've come to truly despise this weapon. Its tracking discourages attempting to kill the invader, as revealing yourself for only a short amount of time allows them to lock on and almost always guarantees death. This ruins a huge part of the game mode, as what should be a challenging decision between risking going after an invader or trying to play it safe by hiding completely removes the first option. This feeling is only exacerbated when more than one opposing player has EoT, so when invasions start happening back to back, there feels like there's no chance to come back from a deficit. I don't know if its ammo needs to be looked at or the lock-on mechanic should be adjusted, but in its current state it's not fun to play against.

    Who is destiny for?

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 10:06 AM PDT

I always listen to podcast while working or just laying in bed (usually the official podcasts and super castle beast) and they always shit on the game. Which made me think who's the game for? People say that destiny is a lot more grindy than warframe which I believe is bs. Honestly I feel like this is the game that will really be your thing if you can create self goals and just do it. That usually fuels destiny. For me it's a complete exotic collection, raid sets and guns. Of course between 3 characters.

Is it possible to reach rank 100 in season 13 with 30 days left?

Is it possible to farm bounties from vanguard gunsmith and variks in the days left to complete the season pass. Would rather not do pvp.

Edit: I'll try my best to reach 100 thanks for giving me hope lol.

    Shader vendor

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 09:41 AM PDT

Can we get a Shader vendor that sells old shaders on a daily rotation like how banshee does mods. I know we have eververse but they don't sell old raid shaders or ones from trials of the nine and stuff like that.

All Warlock Subclasses are absolutely thriving in endgame PVE content right now and I love it.

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 09:28 PM PDT

There really isn't a single subclass between the 4 elements that doesn't have a place in the endgame. This is such a far cry from D1 where I felt like I had to run Sunsinger with self resurrection as an ace in the hole for hard mode raids. Even in forsaken, unless you were engaging with solo content, Warlocks were pretty hard locked into well of radiance for most group activities.

As of right now, because of GMs highlighting previously forgotten subclass trees (Ursa Furiosa for example) there isn't a single element I dread using for triumphs or challenges. Well of Radiance is still king for "group stands in one place and shoots big bad guy" but I just feel like we have so many more choices in how we contribute to a fireteams overall composition. Here's why each and every subclass is kicking ass for Warlocks right now.

Stormcaller - Attunement of Control has been getting a lot of love these past two seasons and that's because of 1) how often you get your super with ionic traces and geomag stabilizers as well as 2) how the super actually works. In grandmaster nightfalls, you're so fragile that the only offensive supers that are worth anything are the ones that you can utilize from a safe distance. Chaos Reach is incredible in the sense that you can look at the battlefield swarming with champions, pick one of them and say "I choose you to die" while taking out groups of adds from a safe distance. With high intellect, geomags and the refund function, you're usually going to have it for every encounter you're in.

The other two attunements for stormcaller have fallen a bit by the wayside. I'd chalk this up to Stormtrance being just another ad clear super that requires you to be close to groups of enemies and a lack of a strong neutral game. I'd love for someone to prove me wrong here though!

Voidwalker - my favorite subclass across the entire franchise with good reason. It has quite possibly the best kits for solo flawless content out of all the subclasses in the game. If someone said to me "you have to play as one subclass for the rest of your time on this earth" I would choose voidwalker no question. Attunement of hunger is so strong I am honestly amazed it came out in D2 Y1 with how weak everything else felt. it compliments aggressive play styles so well because you are literally safer in the midst of a group of enemies than you are taking cover from them. This Attunement got me my solo flawless pit of heresy and prophecy and I don't know how I would've done it without devour being constantly procced. For grandmaster content, Attunement of Chaos with Contraverse hold gives you such great overall DPS. You will have a super powerful grenade that shreds through Champs, trash mobs and bosses almost constantly thanks to contraverse, in addition to a super that hits like a truck and requires even less commitment than Chaos Reach. This tree is also great for solo content like solo flawless master presage. One charged vortex grenade decimates entire packs of ravagers and by the time they're all dead you already have a grenade for the next horde.

Attunement of Fission is the only tree here to not have any real endgame viability but it does seem like a happy medium between its siblings. The void ability kills triggering health regen is reminiscent of bottom tree and handheld supernova could be fun to use in nightfalls if it intrinsically stunned champions. Other than that, voidwalker is chefs kiss.

Dawnblade - Attunement of Sky. This subclass has tons of notoriety in PVP but has carved out a niche in PVE content like speedruns because of how fast it is. is it going to be melting or perma stunning champs? not to my knowledge. But why would you need to regen health if you never get hit at all? better players than me could probably make more points but if you're interested in moving faster than any other class in the game and skipping past the rainbow road part of Prophecy entirely, look no further. As for Attunement of grace, this has been an immediate staple since it was introduced and part of the reason I'm making this list is that I'm so happy I don't have to use it 24/7 anymore. stand in glowy circle. shoot thing.

Attunement of flame recently saw some renewed interest thanks to dawn chorus' introduction in Beyond Light. It does melt Champs and I could see a case made for it in end game content, maybe even more so than Top tree. Sort of a weird mix between Chaos Reach, since you can use it from a distance and get some super energy back from killing ads, and a more traditional roaming super.

And finally, the new kid on the block,

    • Shadebinder Holy fuck I am so glad this thing is good in the end game.

When beyond light launched, I was hyped for the subclass but I felt that out of the three, Warlocks were really only going to be useful in PVP and man was that wrong. When the glassway GM dropped I was exclusively running well with my group to try and get through but it just was not panning out. I did some theory crafting and it turns out being able to infinitely stunlock champions and reset their stun timers is more useful. If an overload captain decides to teleport into your well, you're fucked unless someone gets the stun off. With shadebinder it's as simple as pulling out your staff and they're out. The roaming super is also best in class: no other roaming super allows you the amount of control over the battlefield as winter's wrath does. this was all in last season too which means...

it was before we even had bleak watcher.

I don't even know where to begin- it just goes to town. it literally arrests champions as soon as it makes contact with them. It also has a lot of solo flawless end game potential. Chieftains in the presage boss room giving you trouble? bleak watcher will hold them in perpetuity while you mow them down. Now you're free to deal with the locus of communion at your pace.

Feels good to be a warlock, man. Can't wait to see what's next.

It would be amazing if there was a way to get old season pass ornaments that were missed.

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 11:22 AM PDT

Specifically, during Season of The Undying and Dawn, I completed all 100 levels of the season pass, but I forgot to claim the ornaments on my 2nd and 3rd characters. I'd love for there to be a way to claim those ornaments. There are in game trackers of season ranks for those seasons, so it seems like it would be easy to claim them if they were missed.

Go for vorpal on Threaded Needle

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 05:08 PM PDT

Title. If you didn't already know, linear fusions are getting buffed next season. Threaded Needle is arguably the best one to go for as it has rolls like Clown Catridge, Rapid Hit, Auto Loading, I believe field prep, combined with vorpal or frenzy for dps.

Frenzy does give a higher damage bonus right now at 20%, compared to 15% on vorpal weapon. However, frenzy is getting a nerf, so it will be a 15% bonus.

So why vorpal? When LFR get buffed frenzy and vorpal will do the same damage. But frenzy still offer reload and handling bumps. Clearly it's superior, right?

Frenzy states that you have to be in combat for it to work. Shooting stuff, taking damage for around 12 seconds. So in a boss fight, if you aren't shooting constantly, taking damage all the time or you die, damage bonus is gone. With vorpal, it's a flat 15%, always active when it counts. Bosses, champions, those really annoying interceptors. You trade a bit of reload and handling for the much greater ease of use. I don't know about you, but I'm not using my heavy to kill a thrall.

On top of that, auto loading holster mitigates reload, rapid hit greatly increased reload and clown cartridge gives you plenty of ammo in the magazine (at least 6, assuming you use the highest damage coil)

TL;DR go for vorpal with whatever it is that you want in the first weapon perk slot. It means ease of use for any boss fight.

Xivu’Arath May be in Saladin’s head.

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 12:35 PM PDT

As we all know, Lord Saladin has been getting… dangerously aggressive throughout the course of the season, constantly preaching that the extinction of the Cabal is the only way. This is the exact opposite of what he stands for as an Iron Lord, as this is what the Warlords did. As I was thinking about it while playing today, I realized that there may be a reasonable explanation for this.

Xivu'Arath may be in his head, manipulating and corrupting him.

The goddess of war, as we all know, destroyed the Cabal home world and wants to wipe them out— the exact same thing that Saladin wants to do. It can't be a coincidence… can it?

Tell me what you think of my idea!

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 10:58 AM PDT

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 09:11 PM PDT

Bungie, putting the baby shark dance in destiny seemed like a great idea. It made my toddler daughter's day! Then I tried to shoot things but had to stop so she could see it again. In the end I had to tell her the button broke. Way to ruin my gaming experience! For real though, the chomping dance was a hilarious addition that has brought my family a dumb amount of joy.
