    FAQ

    What is Trials of Osiris?

    • Trials of Osiris is the pinnacle PvP activity. Every Weekend, the best players compete in 3v3 Elimination for one goal: Go Flawless.

    • To start, head to Saint-14 in the Tower Hangar and buy one of the possible passages (see below).

    • To reach Flawless and get to the Lighthouse, you need to win 7 matches without losing one.

    • It uses Win Based Matchmaking, which means you'll face teams with a similar amount of wins on their card. Matches will get harder as you win more matches.

    • There is NO fireteam matchmaking. You need to team up yourself!

    • Power Level matters, however bonus power from the artifact is not enabled.

    How Long do the Trials of Osiris last?

    • Event Starts: Every Friday at Daily Reset (1700 UTC).

    • Event Ends: Following Tuesday at Weekly Reset (1700 UTC).

    Where do I go to find Guardians to compete with in the Trials?

    • You can head over to /r/Fireteams, www.The100.io, Xbox LFG system, DestinyLFG.net or DestinyLFG.com, or go to the Bungie.net recruitment forum (also available through the Bungie App).

    What if I have a question about another piece of armor/weapon or general Trials question?

    Events without activities (dawning and guardian games) feel like storefronts, not events.

    I'm tired of the haunted forest. I don't really even love the ariel zone BUT(!!!) they make the events unique. Solstice year 1 may have been my favorite event ever, that put a new spin on campaign missions. Solstice gives high stat armor. Festival of the lost lets me grind an exclusive weapon(s) for nice random rolls. Guardian games is better than it was last year, but still is just a bounty grind. Dawning was just a nothingburger and then hope I got a good couple guns on the last day when I turned in all my cookies.

    I get events are free and not detractors from the game. I get it's a free to play game and microtranstions drive Bungies revenue. I just wish these events had A LITTLE more.

    Guardian Games need real games. Not just core activities and etc.

    Title. If it is called The Guardian Games, there should be a different activity that feels like you are in a competition. Not just doing bounties and stuff. They should give us an activity that uses the ball mechanics, involves all three classes and to fight for your class. Like a handball or throwing the ball into the target and get a score. Maybe something like a sparrow race. Something that feels different than what we are doing.

    I am sure that most of us are bored from doing the usual stuff. Bring a new one and most of the playerbase will enjoy playing the guardian games.

    Massive Breakdown of the Season 14 Sandbox Balance Changes to Precision 450 RPM ARs and Fusions Rifles

    Changed the Precision AR numbers in my weapon stats spreadsheet to the new values. Link to spreadsheet below, comparison table under that.

    Summary

    Crit damage goes from 27.2 to 28.8 if the 1.6x crit multiplier stays the same. This will bring TtK from 0.93s with 6C2B to 0.80 with 7C. Body shot TtK goes from 1.47s to 1.33s. It may seem small, but given how good Precision ARs feel to use due to inherent high recoil direction and solid range, I would expect their usage to go up and surpass Adaptive (600 RPM) ARs as the most used AR.

    Fusion Rifle Range Changes

    As for the other changes, fusions in the Rapid-Fire archetype can expect their base damage fall off distance to push back about about 2m when ADS, while Adaptives will get about 1.5m when ADS, which is nice but unfortunately not really what they need because, when you need 6 bolts to kill, the bolt spread is often what kills you at distances of 15+m.

    Hilariously, if the scale is linear (which it very well may not be) Glacioclasm, currently the strongest fusion with the longest consistent kill distance, will also get a buff that would equate out to about .75m when ADS, and I believe will remain the strongest legendary fusion in PvP.

    Please note:

    1. Table below shows values with standard zoom (1.5x) only outside of Glacioclasm. Additional zoom will increase the damage fall off start significantly.
    2. Bastion currently has a lethal kill distance of about ~16m in game, mostly due to its pellet spread widening significantly at distance. Even with the range buff, the paired nerf to pellet spread will probably still have the most effect and I would expect its kill distance to decrease by a meter or so.

    Side Note: Fusions actually benefit substantially from the buff to High Impact Reserves and Under Pressure, specifically when the two are paired for PvP. HIR can up the damage by enough to push Adaptive fusions into 5 bolt kill territory, which dramatically increases their usability, and UP notably improves stability and accuracy which can help to tighten bolt spread.

    Predictions:

    Combined with the nerfs to shotguns I would expect Fusion Rifle and Bastion usage to go up slightly, but as noted in the TWAB shotguns will probably be heavily favored in usage, especially once people figure out how easy it is to get high handling in ways other than QD. Similarly, DMT usage will go up quite a bit especially on PC, but I don't think shaving a few meters off of 120 HCs is going to do much to neuter their usage. 140 RPM HCs got a pretty significant buff by proxy with the changes to 120 HCs, so expect to see more of the stronger Adaptives like Palindrome and Ace of Spades as well. I would expect a similar, albeit slightly more varied, meta moving forward into this season until we get new exotics.

    As always, these are just predictions, and we all need to wait and play the game to see how it shakes out for real. We've been surprised before, and sometimes it takes awhile for small changes to have their impact felt, especially when they're done in batches.

    Hunter armor that looks like Titan armor. Hunters can FINALLY have more armored looks and be symmetrical.

    Warlock armor that looks like Hunter armor. A warlock with a cape is peak wizard!

    Titan armor that looks like Warlock armor. Imagine a Titan in a trench coat rocking Synthoseps. You can see all their gains!

    Something something I'll throw money (or bright dust) at my screen.

    EDIT: People seem confused. I don't want other classes to HAVE another classes armor, I just want the STYLE of it. A Hunter with full armor instead of pieces and cloth, a super buff Titan who has a trench coat, a floaty warlock boy with a cape. I mean Saladin has a cape and no one thinks he looks like a Hunter

    Just because VoG's "story isn't changing" doesn't mean it won't be relevant to the overall seasonal storyline at all

    It's definitely the most lore-friendly raid to bring back, because the Vault exists outside of time and space, and it is as eternal as the Vex itself.

    Bungie could just write some lore connecting its return to the season's plot. The story inside the Vault doesn't NEED to change. If they brought back, say, Crota's End or Wrath of the Machine they would definitely need to change some stuff.

    People are manually cancelling the Icefall Mantle overshield when it's not needed by unequipping/re-equipping the exotic. Could this be turned into a game mechanic instead of a weird gimmick using the inventory?

    A while back I painted player's guardians onto feathers which I then turned into a hunter cloak, and I wanted to do something community focused like that again.

    I decided to make cards showcasing people's guardians since a lot of my friends had gotten back into Pokémon cards.

    Here's the test set of cards I made

    Now I'd love to make more than this and have been getting a lot of Guardians to make via social media but still have spaces for some more.

    I'm planning to get a set of 395 cards printed. So far I have 156 more cards ready for printing, and 82 responses left to sort through so we still have around 150 spaces.

    If you'd like your Guardian to join in and be made into a card I've set up a Google Survey which will ask for the details I need to make one (your class/subclass, name you want on it, a quote for the card, and an image upload).

    So, you can kill a Champion with a Drop Pod. The Barrier in Proving ground stopped where the 2nd Unstoppable lands, barrier up and all, Unstoppable killed him.

    Teleporting needs to be fixed

    it feels really bad that you made overload sword a mod for this season but if you get too close to an overload captain they will teleport away from you constantly. you cannot get close enough to proc overload sword. this is just broken and really needs to be fixed. also can i please get an armor 2.0 Stomp-EE5. ive run the leg lost sector 35 times today and every other leg exotic multiple times, no stomp-ee5.

    I've lost count on how many solo flawless runs it ruined for me over the last week. It's literally RNG if i get to procced the run or have to wipe myself and start all over again.

    What is happening?

    The encounter starts all normal. Collect the motes, put em on the right plate and go to the middle to be teleported into the next area. But on that last step sometimes, for no given reason, it just doesn't teleport you and you simply fall back to the floor

    Hi fellow Guardians,

    If, like me, you're struggling to hit Legend rank in comp, or looking for that last Gambit reset, then I have some good news:

    I've created a new Destiny 2 web application, designed to help you focus on improving certain aspects of your preferred game mode.

    The app allows guardians to select their preferred mode: Crucible, Gambit or Raid.

    After selecting your mode, Destiny-Focus analyses your last 30 games, displays relevant data and gives feedback on how to improve such things as Kill/Death ratio, average time alive and precision kills per game.

    I've tried to give pointers on guardians behaviour when playing - such as when to be more aggressive and when to focus on staying alive.

    The precision kills per game can be used to track your improvement with a precision weapon across multiple matches.

    Edit: I forgot to mention, if you click on your guardians emblem you can see a breakdown of their stats, either all time or season by season.

    Would be nice if Battleground Playlists gave Bronze Medals.

    I hadn't done the Battlegrounds for a while but I just wanted to get some Triumphs done and get some weapon rolls because people stop doing them once new content comes. I realized that it's totally separated from GG. At least a Bronze Medal would be kinda nice. Pushing your seasonal content a bit is kind of a given.
