I'm going to miss Overload Bow Posted: 03 May 2021 02:40 PM PDT The instant stun is just so good, especially against the captains, you can even stun lock them if you keep shooting them, nothing even compares. Overload autorifle and submachine gun need a little help, it's not fun trying to stun a captain that teleports right as you get overload rounds to activate, hopefully we get something else instant like overload fusion rifle, I'll be surprised if we don't because shotguns and snipers got champion mods. Bungie - please, for the love of the Nine, buff Xur Posted: 03 May 2021 04:28 PM PDT Xur shouldn't be selling the same exotic for the 10th or 11th time when other exotics that were released at the same time have only been sold two or three times. Some things he hasn't sold in close to a year (there are probably some that he hasn't sold in OVER a year). One thing I think would be a good idea is to have him sell another 3-5 exotic armor pieces, that you can choose from, by turning in an Exotic Cipher that you can get from his quest (similar to old exotic weapons near the vault). This will add more incentive for completing the quest and get guardians playing more (and actually paying attention to Xur). I'm sure there are a million other ideas - I just hate when he has the same items over and over again. [link] [comments] |

Apparently, it could be sung to the tune of CCR's "Fortunate Son". A nice find by u/snipertoaster! Well, now there's a full band version of the entire lore tab. Frankly, it wouldn't feel right stepping into a war with the Cabal without the "Fortunate Son" riff sailing overhead. ETA: BTW I do use Destiny Item Manager, but DIM doesn't do mods so that's a no-go. If you play both PvP and PvE, then you're almost constantly running a sub-optimal build because nobody is gonna take the extra 5-10 minutes to re-minmax everything so all that rare 65+ stat armor you've spent prisms and shards don't really benefit you since they're all mismatched with the wrong attribute mods. I don't understand why they need a cap, I have 58 enhancement prisms and 5 Ascendant shards in my postmaster just to sit there. Maybe there's is a technicality issue? Posted: 03 May 2021 06:20 AM PDT Titles like ( Conqueror, Warden, Dredgen, Reckoner ) I ran a bunch of 1270 ( Heroic ) Nightfalls this week, double loot and all. I ran at least 21 on Sunday to get the exotic cypher. Just wanted to say that I offer much respect to those of you who have one of those titles under your tag. I had to actually look up a bunch of them, like Conqueror, to see what you all did to get them. What I notice is that those of you with a title never, never, passed up that first champion in the Devil's Lair nightfall. Sadly a bunch of other people do not stop and kill that champion, and I always race there so that I can kill them before someone goes past and triggers the "the best you can get is Gold" rewards. So once I noticed this I was able to relax a bit at the start ( still raced to kill that guy because you never know ). You put a lot of work and effort into those titles and they send a clear message that you will be a solid teammate. ( I do know that some of you all never bother to revive people, so you are not really perfect, LOL ). Anyway much respect. Edit: LOL just did another nightfall with a Conqueror, and that dude got 99,000 by himself. [link] [comments] |

Banner Shield (middle tree void titan, and I guess Sentinel Shield in general) should block stasis. Posted: 03 May 2021 01:46 PM PDT Title. Coldsnap grenades just crawl under and through the shield. Stasis Staff (stasis warlock melee ability) goes right through it. Winter's Wrath stasis bolts also go right through the shield. Silence and Squall can be bounced but the kamma's have to be blocked and it's quite finicky. The fact that the Shields already block almost every other Light-based super makes me think that Bunige made a massive oversight with this. Grenades bounce off the shield (except for ones that explode instantly like Duskfield, and similar grenades. They explode on the barrier but their AOE affects still occur). Celestial Fire, Throwing Knives, Throwing Hammer, and similar ranged melee abilities bounce off the shield or simply don't do any damage. Dawnblade, Chaos Reach, Golden Gun, other Sentinel Shield throws, Blade Barrage, and Hammer of Sol are ones I have seen been blocked by my shield. What's more infuriating is when I get frozen through my shield and then die as a result. I use Ursa Furiosa. Whatever damage it blocks gets converted into super energy when my super ends. Super damage against the shield doesn't count (perhaps that's a balancing thing) but I've noticed that when I absorb damage with the shield, get frozen, and then die while frozen, no super energy gets converted. TLDR I think Sentinel Shields should block Stasis. EDIT: I have confirmed that blocking Kamma's from Silence and Squall is damn near impossible xD [link] [comments] |
Today is the last day Veles Labyrinth is the Legendary Lost Sector for Season of the Chosen Posted: 03 May 2021 10:48 AM PDT Veles Labyrinth is widely regarded as the fastest Legendary Lost Sector. So if you want to farm it for the current season, today's the last day. Tip: After coming out of the tunnels in the beginning, if you jump straight up on the left-hand cliff, the unstoppable ogre won't spawn (and you can still get platinum). And you can do this on any class (ST0MP-EE5 triple jump for Hunter, Heat Rises Warlock, and Lion Rampants with High Lift jump for Titan). Here's a great post by /u/SgtHondo showing how to do it.

Since reckoning and Gambit Prime were both vaulted with the release of beyond light, I have been hoping Bungie would add new content to replace them. Unfortunately this hasn't happened, so my friends and I are left with nothing new in Gambit, besides new weapons. Its just not fair because PvP has endgame (Trials and I guess comp), and PvE has Raids, GMs, Nightmare Hunts, etc. Now Bungie either needs to create new endgame gambit content (which they most likely aren't going to do) or they can add back Reckoning and Prime. Seasonal Challenges: A good system with a flawed execution Posted: 03 May 2021 01:09 PM PDT I've seen a lot of talk focusing on the upcoming changes and a review of the season, but only a little talk on the addition of seasonal challenges (and the removal of weekly bounties) and I wanted to give some feedback. My Recommendations:
Overall this system is good, and a good replacement for the Weekly Bounties. I found it really engaging and it made me come back to the game on weeks I otherwise wouldn't have played. However it just needs to be balanced a bit further. Also for the record, I got 70 of the 75 required for Master of All, and find the last 5 options to be a bit too grindy for me to try and finish up. Ice Fall mantle needs an deactivate ability, Posted: 03 May 2021 06:56 PM PDT the biggest draw back for icefall (in my opinion), is the inability to deactivate the shield, this an annoying feature, and since by swapping the exotic off/on, it removes the shield, and starts barricade regen. adding this feature is simply streamlining, this which would be great espesslay on the slower console load times this streamlining, wont break the exotic as the ability still has DOUBLE the cooldown of an normal Barricade mantle_barricade_cooldown_is_longer, (not my post BUT, it is VERY important) this is AFTER the 20sec no recharge period. i apologise if this sounds like complaining but i like this exotic but this draw back turns me off it, and makes it less desirable then other options despite how cool it is [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 May 2021 02:44 AM PDT I was playing Titanfall and realized that we don't have a Horde mode where we battle waves after waves of enemies. It would be a fun sessonal activity and it goes well with the power fantasy trip. Imagine having a fireteam of 4 (or 6) defending some Rasputin tech from Fallen/Vex/Hive. EDIT - Probably the best way would be putting beacons in predetermined parts of destinations and the enemies would start to flock. Places like the EDZ caves that were used for just one mission in vanilla or the wells in Nessus would benefit a lot. That would be a way to make destinations relevant again, like it was with Contact. Also it should not have a timer: you lose if the beacon is destroyed. [link] [comments] |
Cabal Missile pack, titan exotic chest plate idea. Posted: 03 May 2021 06:46 PM PDT there's 2 ideas here, because i'm indecisive however everything else is the same "The armour, is yours.... for the right price" - Unnamed Scavenger. Astetic; im thinking of a colossus styled chest plate, that looks to have been severally hacked up to make it fit the MUCH smaller guardians. it would have with 4 small missile silos on the back, it still would have the thruster vents that activate when lift is active, this would help identify the chest plate even easier i expand on the 2 ideas further in the notes section Idea 1, Perk : Cabal Missile swam Description ; Replaces your Barricade with an barrage of blinding arc rockets, that disrupt Targets. Idea 2 Perk : (need Help with a name) Description : replaces your Barricade with an Barrage of Rockets infused with your Subclass Affinity
NotesNotes ; for Idea 1 this is basically the standard colossus missiles, deploying 8 rockets that split into 2 after they have been in the air for a bit. the rockets initial direction and trajectory is where the player is looking, in PvP the rockets would 16 damage a piece, (total of 16 rockets), as well as having weaker tracking, these rockets would have a 1m diameter blast/effect Diameter there is a cooldown penalty of 20%, (AKA 20% longer cool down) Notes ; for Idea 2 this is basically the standard colossus missiles, deploying 8 rockets that split into 2 after they have been in the air for a bit. however the effects upon detonation vary based on subclass the rockets initial direction and trajectory is where the player is looking, WHEN they are summoned, and can't change direction until the tracking takes over (however since they are a staggered launch you could fan them out) the potentancy of the effects depends on how many rockets hit. except for arc. there is an 100% increase in Class ability cooldown, (doubled cooldown) all but arc do 5 impact damage, and 5 blast in PvP, (PvE is MUCH higher) arc does double that with 10 impact and 10 blast damage all rockets have a 1m diameter effect radius ARC - these rockets act as the colossus missiles, blinding, removing radar, slowing, removing jump abilities. but only last 1.5sec regardless of how many hit (although the timer would refresh each time your hit by the blast Solar - these rockets applies an PvP 0.25sec burn timer or a PvE 1sec, with each rocket increasing that timer, (max of 4 sec PvP and 16sec PvP) the burn damage per rocket (0.25sec), is 10, totalling, 160 burn damage for 4sec Void - these rockets apply an 30% weakness effect, (same as melting point), PvP each rocket adds 0.25sec of the weakness (max duration is 4sec) PvE each rocket adds, 0.75sec of the weakness (max 12sec) Stasis - each rocket applies PvP +8 slow, PvE +25 slow (pvp needs 13 of the 16 rockets to freeze) the ??? are for the comming Darkness subclasses End of noteswhat are your thoughts on the 2 ideas, idea 1 is VERY simple, but could be cool, but idea 2 is VERY interesting, especially with how it interacts with the subclasses.
