Sunday Plz - Give Arcstriders a Ranged Super!

    Posted: 30 May 2021 02:00 AM PDT

    Greetings Guardians!

Ever since the conception of this sub, we've dealt with floods of reposts. We're sure you're familiar with them. Many are for important issues that are shared by the entire player base, while others are just for personal requests and desires for the game. The Bungie Plz was shortly implemented after conception as a central "wish-list" for all that we, the community, desired. It is completely user driven. With rare exceptions, nearly all submissions are sent in by you, the users of this subreddit!

However, just like Destiny 2, our wiki article began to experience problems as it grew over time. It's been getting just a few sizes too big. We understand that the continued addition of topics has begun to encroach on your ability to continue the conversation towards matters that mean the most to you, and even though the Bungie Plz has seen so many successes over the years, with well over 100 officially implemented game suggestions and desires, there's still dozens upon dozens of retired topics that haven't seen the light of day for many months...even years!

Every Sunday, this thread will focus on a certain retired Bungie Plz topic of your choosing, voted by the users. We will curate a list of 5 suggestions to help focus your voting process, but you get the final say on what is talked about each week. By all means, if one topic is overwhelmingly desired despite not being part of those 5 items we picked, then we'll be happy to go with that one. Our curated list is only to help you focus the conversation. The only stipulation is that the topic must be new every week. This thread is for the entirety of the Bungie Plz wiki, so no back-to-back voting!

Think of these threads as a way to keep the spark alive, and to bring old topics up to fresh light. For example, do we still want to move Queenbreaker to the special slot? Or does Arbalest serve that purpose well enough now? Do we still want an all-black shader, or do we want to bring back Prismatic Matrix?

You tell us! This is your conversation, guardians.

For this week, you voted on:

Give Arcstriders a Ranged Super (E.G. Valkryie)

For next week, here are some suggestions:

    • Reintroduce the Faction Vendors
    • Rework the Black Talon Catalyst
    • Allow us to unlock all seasonal artifact mods
    • Allow Sleeper and Outbreak to generate Warmind Cells
    • Move The Queenbreaker into the special ammo slot

Sound off in the sticky comment for which one sounds good (just give us a moment to put it up), or anything else in the Bungie Plz wiki that catches your eye, and we'll do our best to accommodate!

The PvE precision damage nerf all primaries got in Shadowkeep was the worst decision ever made for PvE weapon balance. Please revert it.

    Posted: 30 May 2021 07:55 PM PDT

Scout rifles, hand cannons, and pulse rifles are going to be bottom tier in PvE unless they get their damage reverted to pre SK levels. Why would I bother running a hand cannon when an SMG has the same effective range and will allow me to kill ads twice as fast without needing to hit crits? Why should I run a scout since the range they are effective at doesn't exist in most activities, and I would be better off running an auto rifle? Pulse rifles are straight up worse auto rifles since they are effective at the same range yet pulses take 2+ bursts to kill.

Even in low level content, scouts and hand cannons take 2-3 crits and pulses need 2+ bursts to kill a red bar. There is absolutely no world in which a precision weapon taking more than 1 crit to kill a red bar feels good.

Due to their high "rate of fire" and large ammo reserves, trace rifles are the only weapon you can consistently draw penises on walls with

    Posted: 30 May 2021 09:34 PM PDT

Most other guns which you may have thought as contenders for this, such as ARs and LMGs, on console at least, have too much recoil and require a reload before the initial bullet holes start to disappear. Thanks to the new trace rifle mods you can now draw penises to your hearts content

Reverie dawn armor should get an ornament that makes it look taken all the time. And it should be earned from shattered throne.

    Posted: 30 May 2021 07:52 AM PDT

Title. Give us more cosmetics to earn please.

EDIT: so many negative comments about how it would probably be in the eververse store, i don't see how the people leaving em enjoy this game if they're so negative about it.

Bungie, if you want us to farm Legendary and Master Lost Sectors, why is it possible to get nothing out of runs?

    Posted: 30 May 2021 08:36 AM PDT

I've been running Veles Labyrinth for 2 hours trying to get the most recent set of exotic armor. I have gotten a grand total of 1 legendary chest piece (that had shit stats btw), and 2 enhancement cores.

Why is that even a possibility? Why is "nothing" on the drop table?

Before the bungie dickriders come in to hur dur me about champions and luck, yes I'm killing every champion, and no I don't think the exotics should be 100% guaranteed. But "nothing" should never be a possibility to get after an activity in a loot driven game

Can we please get more than one catalyst for older weapons per season?

    Posted: 30 May 2021 10:12 AM PDT

Currently there are 26 exotic weapons in the game that don't have a catalyst and 7 of these released with forsaken over 2 and a half years ago and even though some of them were datamined at some point around season of opulence, most are still unobtainable in game.

If Bungie continues to release one catalyst for old exotics per season, it will take at minimum 6 and a half years for every exotic that is currently without a catalyst to receive one (even longer when any season extensions or delays are considered).

When beyond light released I was expecting a bunch of catalysts to be released at once and to my surprise we got the leviathan's breath catalyst and... four more exotics that don't have a catalyst (this was a similar story back in shadowkeep where only the Cerberus+1 and ace of spades got a catalyst and 5 of the 6 weapons that came out during shadowkeep didn't come with a catalyst).

Overall, if I could suggest anything it would be that bungie adds a catalyst to every exotic that currently doesn't have one without introducing any new perks with them, this will allow all exotics to create orbs and gain a kill tracker while also allowing bungie to add new perks to these catalysts in the future.

I like Gambit, but it's too easy, now easier than ever, to stomp or be stomped.

    Posted: 30 May 2021 09:41 AM PDT

    This isn't a new complaint.

I like Gambit (yes I'm one of those crazy people). But the combination of blockers, blocking the bank, draining the bank and invader, is all too much. And the defending team is stuck, with players holding motes having to hide, and hopefully they don't lose their motes while the invading team continues to collect motes freely, leading to the ability to trigger a prompt follow up invasion.

Stomping or being stomped is too common an occurrence. Please make some adjustments, Gambit really is a cool and unique game mode, and can be a lot of fun sometimes!

EDIT: Well this blew up, and with awards too, thank you kind strangers! It looks like there are more crazy Gambit fans out there, even a few fellow Reckoners. Lots of good ideas. I hope there's some fine tuning that Bungie can soon try. I have no doubt the team are working hard on the game, but management is pretty bad when the perception is of "PvP neglected", "Gambit neglected", significant game activities that people play and are desperate to enjoy.

Quality of Life request: Teammates should be able to help break you out of Stasis by shooting you free.

    Posted: 30 May 2021 11:56 AM PDT

It seems really simple and I'm surprised it wasn't implemented upon the release.

Legitimately the first interaction we have with stasis is shooting Variks free from a stasis freeze affect.

I feel it would help balance stasis in PvP instead of nerfing it to the ground, and add an extra level of teamwork in the few cases you are frozen by stasis in PvE.

Bungie Plz: Fix the lighting on the Appearance Customization screen. We can't see what our shaders really look like.

    Posted: 30 May 2021 02:21 PM PDT

The lighting on the appearance customization screen is so bad. It's like there's a spotlight shining on your character, washing out most of the color and detail and making it so you can't see what your shader looks like. Sometimes you have to rotate your character, sometimes it doesn't matter.

At this point, I'm basically previewing and applying on the regular screen like we used to have to so I can actually see what it's really gonna look like.

The only reason I use the appearance customization screen now is to check out ornaments.

Edit: If you turn HDR on, the appearance customization screen looks fine, the normal screen is too dark. They made it and/or tested it with HDR on and compensated because of how broken HDR is, so if you aren't using HDR (like most people don't) the lighting is way too bright.

If SHARDS OF GALANOR refund more than half of the energy for blade barrage ON HIT, why can't SKULL OF DIRE AHAMKARA do that for Nova?

    Posted: 30 May 2021 11:32 PM PDT

Blade barrage is just a solar Nova bomb with ad clear options and the damage isn't lower than Nova that much. And hit registration for SHARDS OF GALANOR to refund super seems very forgiving. Plus SKULL OF DIRE AHAMKARA requires kills to refund super while SHARDS OF GALANOR just requires barrage to hit some enemies. It doesn't seem like a fair design to me or are there some hidden perks i didn't discover for SKULL? (did some test, barrage doesn't do as much damge as the Nova, but still the amount super enery refund and the requirement for energy to be refunded for SKULL still feels too strict)

I want us to highlight some Destiny YouTubers that don't get enough love.

    Posted: 30 May 2021 05:42 PM PDT

Look, I love Esoterickk, Aztecross, et. al. But I also love supporting relatively smaller channels that are struggling to get even a fraction of their viewers. I'll list a few of my favorites, and you can add on below as you see fit.

Mactics - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDs3qLVMtETFv6t-_-JEzrQ - This guys at the top of the list for a reason. He explicitly markets himself as making "the fastest Destiny guides in all of YouTube" and he isn't exaggerating. His guides for Grandmaster Nightfalls are all about 6 minutes long, with longer versions if you want them. He also seems genuinely nice, with little of the "YouTuber" persona that most of us tolerate at best. His latest video is sitting at 488 views. Please go change that.

Jarv - https://www.youtube.com/c/Jarvenis/videos - probably the most successful of the "smaller" creators here, but just a nice, calm guy, with lots of high quality, brief-as-they-need-to-be videos. (the short videos will be a reoccurring theme)

PvShifty - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeAlXmWCBz-N1z5N8jHpaDQ - I'm newer to his stuff, but he is genuinely skilled and pretty prolific with his output. Despite that, his Solo Platinum LEGEND 100K Fallen SABER Nightfall video has only 1,028 views.

Jabonte - https://www.youtube.com/c/Jabonte/videos - This guy has a niche, and that niche is creating "Destiny: The Series", a series of cinematic playthroughs of all content releases to date, with no HUD, no loading screens and with minimal UI. Its a fantastic resource with a criminally low view count.

Now hit me with your best shot.

I miss when infusing gear with an exotic only costed glimmer.

    Posted: 30 May 2021 12:24 PM PDT

Basically just title. Upgrade modules can get expensive and having that occasional cheap infusion when a Sanguine Alchemy drops would make it feel at least slightly as useful as Bungie thinks it is.

Not adding Atheons epilog to Vog was a missed opportunity.

    Posted: 30 May 2021 04:13 AM PDT

Don't get me wrong I understand that why it wasn't added but why not make a smg out of it?

For everyone that doesn't know what atheons epilog was I will quickly summarize it in D2 terms

It was a 900 RPM AR with high impact reserves and dynamic sway reduction.

If bungie would have made atheons epilogue a Smg it would probably be one of the top pve meta smgs because almost all of the Vog weapons now have rewind rounds. Rewind rounds would have been amazing on a 900rpm Smg because they have an average of 35 rounds in the mag which means in total if you hit every single shot that rewind rounds would make the smg have 67 rounds in the mag. I repeat 67!!! Now pair this with high impact reserves if that would be on it. if this wouldn't be meta then I don't know.

Another reason why I would want a new raid smg is that we haven't gotten one since original leviathan so basically since 4 years.

I think not making atheons epilogue an smg was a missed opportunity thanks for reading.

It would be real cool of Bungie if they slipped the remaining three VoG weapons into the loot pool when master mode drops

    Posted: 30 May 2021 07:42 AM PDT

I can understand if the auto rifle doesn't work due to issues with the archetype, but the pulse and fusion could probably come back no problem. It would just be a nice bonus for a harder difficulty.

PLEASE UPDATE THE SENSITIVITY OPTIONS ON CONTROLLER

    Posted: 30 May 2021 02:46 PM PDT

I'm really hoping that Destiny can update the sens for controller because even with 10+traction (what I need to use) it's still too slow. I feel like having an ALC setting like in apex could really help with this and they should also allow us to go higher than 10 sens. This would also help controller players for when crossplay comes out since mnk has no limit to how fast you can make your sens. I'm only posting this because I really want it to be added to the game, and I wanted to see other people's opinions on it. I see no downside to this being added to the game and don't see why this shouldn't be added.

Edit: Also, please add ADS sens options as well

    1 year of Felwinter's Lie

    Posted: 30 May 2021 06:36 PM PDT

Aggregated some data from Trials Report regarding Felwinter's Lie from weekend of 5/22/2020 to 5/21/2021. What follows are notable observations:

    • 78 million kills with Felwinters Lie
    • 10.37% of all guardian kills (78 million Felwinter's kills divided by 761 million total kills)
    • 20.82% peak of all guardian kills on weekend of 2/19/2021
    • Top 5 weapon every weekend except for weekend of 9/18/2020
    • Number 1 weapon for past 14 weeks consecutively (24 weeks if including number 2 position where it was barely edged out by steady hand)

Potential sources of error: Manual entry of data . I also doubt that this data includes shotgun+melee kills. Can't remember if kills against frozen guardians count as shotgun kills or stasis kills Google doc: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kKPzdHqCuGZ3Cf1Scq6vcJzFcViZvsUIV8C2dabgFmQ/edit?usp=sharing

Stasis grenade trails can be shot before they reach you.

    Posted: 30 May 2021 01:58 AM PDT

Just a PSA. I'm not sure if it's common knowledge because I see people in crucible literally watching coldsnap grenade trails creep up and freeze them. Just shoot the trails as soon as you see them, it doesn't take much damage to break them either.

Hopefully this makes crucible more bearable for some.

H.E.L.M Training Dummies (Tribute Hall 2.0)

    Posted: 30 May 2021 11:36 PM PDT

It would be very nice if Bungie adds a training dummy area (like the old tribute hall) to the H.E.L.M. A place we can test out builds and check damage numbers and such. It does seem like the H.E.L.M has a somewhat modular design where new wings open up for each new season, so why not just add a training area/wing?

I'd be a happy guardian if this happens.
