    FAQ

    What is Trials of Osiris?

    • Trials of Osiris is the pinnacle PvP activity. Every Weekend, the best players compete in 3v3 Elimination for one goal: Go Flawless.

    • To start, head to Saint-14 in the Tower Hangar and buy one of the possible passages (see below).

    • To reach Flawless and get to the Lighthouse, you need to win 7 matches without losing one.

    • It uses Win Based Matchmaking, which means you'll face teams with a similar amount of wins on their card. Matches will get harder as you win more matches.

    • There is NO fireteam matchmaking. You need to team up yourself!

    • Power Level matters, however bonus power from the artifact is not enabled.

    How Long do the Trials of Osiris last?

    • Event Starts: Every Friday at Daily Reset (1700 UTC).

    • Event Ends: Following Tuesday at Weekly Reset (1700 UTC).

    Where do I go to find Guardians to compete with in the Trials?

    • You can head over to /r/Fireteams, www.The100.io, Xbox LFG system, DestinyLFG.net or DestinyLFG.com, or go to the Bungie.net recruitment forum (also available through the Bungie App).

    Yesterday I made a post asking what to get and everyone said Witherhoard, so I get it and go to xur and then buy Cerberus+1, and then go into a strike and Lord of Wolves drops as well as it's catalyst from the end chest, and then near the end of the night I open an exotic engram in the season pass and get two tailed fox. Yesterday was a great day.

    For New Players, Obtaining Mods Is Very Painful And Excruciatingly Slow

    I started the first day of this season and fell in love with the game. My goal was to get into the end-game as quickly as I could because I really enjoy games with complex mechanics or difficult challenges. I leveled all 3 of my characters past 1335, grinded the hell out of specific stats for armor, weapons with the right perks and must-have exotics. Hours and Hours of raids and solo legend lost sectors and 1340 night falls and my fledgling guardians were able to pick up almost everything I sought after, except mods. Now, I'm not talking about special mods, like warmind or charged with light... I mean ammo finders, scavs and reserves. See, the first two weeks of playing, I was getting mods all the time. Nearly every other vanguard, crucible and gunsmith turn-in I would receive a mod. Then, all of the sudden, nothing. I don't know what changed but I went from constantly being able to get a couple a day from turn-ins, to maybe one a week if I am lucky; and that is playing on all three characters. Keep in mind, not including the specialty mods, I have way more than half of the normal mod collection still to acquire. I'm not sure why the frequency of them dropping drastically changed but I wish they would change it back. It really sucks when your fireteam inspects your loadout for something complicated and they ask why you don't have GL ammo finder and you have to explain that you haven't gotten it yet, on top of how crippling it is to that activity constantly being the one always low on ammo. I searched for ways to make it easier, people told me to grind high difficulty nightfalls, I did... nothing. People told me Grand Masters would drop them, I did that... nothing. People told me Iron Banner tokens, I turn in almost 1000... nothing. Bungie, please make it easier for newer players to get these extremely common place mods.

    Quria is so cool, and has been kicked around in the lore for a long while. She has a special position in the lore, being one of the only Taken creatures with some self-awareness, and being a vex at that. She's this completely unique blend of Taken by Oryx, controlled by Savathûn, still being a part of the Vex network, but having a sense of self apart from all that.

    The communities attachment to her is evident in that people keep referring to her as a "her" instead of an it! What other Vex do people remember, the Undying mind? Panoptes? Anyway, I hope we stop her instead of killing her completely.

    Bungie's design philosophy on Titan's identity is not shown in PVE (not calling titan under-powered just some grievances with a few small things)

    Preface

    I am not a game developer just a dude that plays this game too much. I have been playing since destiny 2 first came out and I have been a titan main since. I also however have been playing all three classes since launch but not to the degree of my titan. I also know the hatred of player's opinions of their classes on the subreddit and many posts like mine have been downvoted into oblivion because other players dont care about other classes that are not their own. I also realize most of the class posts are just people crying about how their class sucks and boo hoo etc. In this post I am not calling titan underpowered, but just levying some criticism to the implementation of Bungie's design philosophy of the Titan in the current PVE meta and new content such as subclasses. If you disagree with anything I say in this post, feel free to tell me why in the comments below and I will respond or edit this post if your feedback is in good faith.

    Class Identity

    When you first started playing destiny you had to pick a class. You had the warlock which was described as a space wizard that uses space magic to kill enemies and to support your fireteam. Then you had the hunter which was described as a keen assassin who utilized agility and precision to assassinate their enemies. Finally you had titan, the tanks of the battlefield who were the walls that held enemies at bay and had the ferocity of a grizzly bear. Each identity has held up pretty well in game so far.

    Barricade

    Each class has their own ability. Warlock has rifts, hunters have a dodge, and titans have a barricade. Each mirror Bungie's design philosophy almost perfectly. The usefulness of titan's however is not the best. For your class ability you have two options which are towering barricade and rally barricade. Rally barricade is straight up useless and it has been for a while after the auto reload nerf. Sure it might be good for rarely used builds but ask yourself when was the last time you saw a titan use a rally barricade in high level content? Tower barricade on the other hand is good, but only in fringe cases (to be clear I am talking about PVE not PVP because tower is really good in PVP for a variety of reasons if you know how to use it). In PVE it is mostly used as a rez protector in higher level content, and sometimes is used as well an actual barricade. However, it is prone to being very buggy in blocking damage and sometimes it just doesnt block damage consistently. As stated in the preface I am not a game designer so I will not be providing magical solutions to the problem these abilities have, I am just pointing out the problems.

    Resilience

    Each class has their class ability's cooldown tied to armor stats. Warlocks is recovery, hunters is mobility, and titans is resilience. Again the reasons for these cooldowns being tied to the specific stats is mirrored perfectly to Bungie's design philosophy. This one is pretty self explanatory, having high resilience in pve does not really do much and going for high resilience is shooting yourself in the leg when you could have high recovery with is S tier in high level content. How does this tie into titans? Well it is tied to the barricade cooldown which you already know my grievances on those abilities. I know I said I was not a game dev but I would fix this by either giving you more shields or more knock back reduction the higher your resilience stat is.

    New Subclasses

    With the release of Beyond Light we got a new subclass for each class. Warlocks got shadebinder which fulfilled the fantasy of being a space wizard that shot stasis out of it's staff, hunters got revenant which fulfilled the fantasy of being an ice ninja, and titans got the striker subclass again but this time with ice. Sure it fulfills the fantasy of being a walking tank that punches people but after the nerfs this subclass received and seeing the uniqueness of the warlock's shadebinder, it leaves me wondering why titans received yet another punch super instead of something different for once. Hopefully with new subclasses on the horizon, titans will get new unique ways to play the class instead of another punch guy super.

    Quick Summary

    Bungie's design philosophy on Titan's identity is not shown in PVE in regards to it's class ability not being useful in higher level content, it's class stat resilience also not being useful in PVE most of the time, and how new content for titan is unoriginal such as behemoth just being striker but ice.

    There needs to be a better system in place for Dreaming City Loot

    So a few months ago Bungie added back 4 weapons and the entire armour set for the Dreaming City loot pool and I bet alot of the people that are still hunting for a certain roll on one of the weapons still haven't gotten it yet.

    This is because of the lack of ways to acquire this loot. This is all of the sources if I remember correctly.

    4x Drops from the Shattered Throne (all of these have a chance to drop with Vorpal which can make your chances worse if you don't want that perk)

    Ascendant Challenge

    Weekly Story Mission

    Weekly 7 Bounties

    Daily Bounty (now this is 7 chances a week but the Toland bounty is still bugged to this day)

    There could be one or two more sources I'm forgetting but these are the main ones people are doing each week.

    There is another source which is the corrupted eggs which if you haven't done them yet, that's 40 more drop chances which is great if you haven't done that yet.

    That's around 14 drops per character per week. The problem is armour will also drop from this. The armour isn't high stat so most of the time it's a complete waste of a drop plus a class item is also a waste every time except the first.

    Bungie will add 3 more weapons to this pool on July 6th, making it even harder to get what you want.

    Compare this to the previous moon weapons which you can get through the dungeon and farm for in altar of sorrow which is a guaranteed weapon drop on completion.

    On July 6th, the rest of the moon weapons will come back which all can be focused through the lecturn.

    I just really hope they add some umbrals for the dreaming city weapons next season as bungie seems to want to keep this content relevant and currently it's a complete slog to get the weapons you want from this destination

    Seeing as Warmind cell mods are such a staple part of the game as a combat style, there should be more weapons we can use to make warmind cells. It should definitely start with the missing weapon classes, as we have no scout, pulse, gls or heavies besides the lmg. Then it would be nice to have different archetypes/elemental guns too.

    Title, basically. I have friends who really wanted to play the story of season of the chosen and it really sucks it's now permanently stuck behind a $50 paywall. I'm not asking to get it for free, I just hope there's a way we can get seasons without having to fork over $50 despite already having the expansion, just not the deluxe edition.

    Year 1 shaders shouldn't be in the Bright Dust rotation anymore.

    There's an Eververse bundle that is virtually free with every Year 1 EV shader in it. Why are they taking up other slots in the Bright Dust rotation, when literally everyone should have them? Just replace them with more recent shaders, to give people more chances at filling out their collections, especially new players.

    I've heard from some its great, also heard the exact opposite that its bad.

    I'd like to hear why people think why its either good or bad.

    I have a roll with Moving Target, Opening Shot and a range Masterwork and I have a hard time hitting headshots with it. I don't know if its the aim assist or something else that feels off about it to me. I mean, it feels fluid in handling, I just have a hard time on hitting my headshots with it.

    What are your thoughts on it?

    Oathkeeper should give some similar benefits to Peacekeepers

    "Bows charges can be held indefinitely" is useful but not useful enough to carry this exotic out of D-tier.

    I think it should provide some better benefits, namely:

    •substantial boost to mobility when holding a bow

    •increased strafe speed while ADS

    •no in-air accuracy penalty

    I believe this would be good enough to make it a worthwhile exotic without being broken. In its current state it's kind of sad, and really only used for Le Monarque and Wish-ender, and even then there are arguably better options like knucklehead radar for better awareness with wish ender, or dragons shadow to get quickdraw on Le Monarque builds.

    Can we get a ghost shell mod that auto picks up glimmer?
