Sunday Plz - Add a Cryptarch to the H.E.L.M.

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 02:00 AM PDT

    Greetings Guardians!

Ever since the conception of this sub, we've dealt with floods of reposts. We're sure you're familiar with them. Many are for important issues that are shared by the entire player base, while others are just for personal requests and desires for the game. The Bungie Plz was shortly implemented after conception as a central "wish-list" for all that we, the community, desired. It is completely user driven. With rare exceptions, nearly all submissions are sent in by you, the users of this subreddit!

However, just like Destiny 2, our wiki article began to experience problems as it grew over time. It's been getting just a few sizes too big. We understand that the continued addition of topics has begun to encroach on your ability to continue the conversation towards matters that mean the most to you, and even though the Bungie Plz has seen so many successes over the years, with well over 100 officially implemented game suggestions and desires, there's still dozens upon dozens of retired topics that haven't seen the light of day for many months...even years!

Every Sunday, this thread will focus on a certain retired Bungie Plz topic of your choosing, voted by the users. We will curate a list of 5 suggestions to help focus your voting process, but you get the final say on what is talked about each week. By all means, if one topic is overwhelmingly desired despite not being part of those 5 items we picked, then we'll be happy to go with that one. Our curated list is only to help you focus the conversation. The only stipulation is that the topic must be new every week. This thread is for the entirety of the Bungie Plz wiki, so no back-to-back voting!

Think of these threads as a way to keep the spark alive, and to bring old topics up to fresh light. For example, do we still want to move Queenbreaker to the special slot? Or does Arbalest serve that purpose well enough now? Do we still want an all-black shader, or do we want to bring back Prismatic Matrix?

You tell us! This is your conversation, guardians.

For this week, you voted on:

Add a Cryptarch to the H.E.L.M.

For next week, here are some suggestions:

    • Kill Clip should auto refresh when reloading while active
    • Increase Vault space (again)
    • Make Raid Banners show the Clan Banner of the Guardian who deploys them
    • An exotic that allows Sunbreaker Titans to summon their throwing hammer back to their hand
    • Bring back the Prismatic Matrix

Sound off in the sticky comment for which one sounds good (just give us a moment to put it up), or anything else in the Bungie Plz wiki that catches your eye, and we'll do our best to accommodate!

[PRO GAMBIT TIP] Check if anybody on your gambit team has bunch of light nipples on their arms. If they do, let them do a finisher on the heavy blockers.

Basically: They are wearing Aeon exotic armor that allows them to feed the team with heavy ammo, when they finish a heavy blocker.

A special weapon Anti-Barrier should be a standard mod in every season.

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 01:55 AM PDT

First of all this is my own personal opinion.

Take this season for example. We got Unstoppable Grenade Launchers. They are really useful, WHEN you got a chance to actually use them. The amount of LS or NFs that are Unstop and Barrier are very limited plus IMO dealing with Unstop Champions is extremely easy.

The issue is that if the NF or LS doesn't have Unstop, which is very often the case, then you are either forced to use Eriana's Vow, which although nice, I'm sick and tired of using this gun all the time, or run two primaries which just plain sucks and robs you of a powerful option. Plus Unstop and OL change whereas Anti Barriers are a constant in every Endgame activity.

The season with the Anit Barrier Sniper was so good that anything afterwards seems so restrictive and you keep thinking "why mess with something that worked so well". Same with Overload Bows. It's things like Overload SMG mods that make me believe that the person who designed it never checked in with the person who decided to make the OL champion teleport before the OL round procs.

Introducing LS for a solo Endgame activity was brilliant and it's what I do the most. I know these problems are alleviated when playing in a fireteam so I'm mostly talking about Solo. And again, just my own thoughts that you are free to disagree with.

Ada-1 has really come around for us guardians this week.

    Posted: 26 Jun 2021 10:55 AM PDT

I mean Powerful Friends, Rage of the Warmind AND Stacks on Stacks?

As a new Player this is great for me, but i can't help but feel sorry for the other new players that didn't get any.

This mod rotation system would actually be nice if the chances weren't so abysmally low for the good ones.

    I miss flashpoints

    Posted: 26 Jun 2021 10:27 AM PDT

For those uneducated, flashpoints were a weekly pinnacle you could earn by going to its designated planet that week and doing heroic public events, lost sectors and heroic adventures. It would often breathe life into the underused locations because people would actively go there to get their pinnacle.

Can we get that back please? Maybe with legendary public events triggering instead where after defeating the heroic quickly it triggers the legendary varient?

I am a newer player that barely got 3 wins on a trials card. I shouldn't be fighting teams with so many lighthouse visits they get frequent flyer miles.

Seriously, where is the accomplishment or skill based matchingmaking? This is ridiculous.

Bungie, please reintroduce the Fourth Horseman catalyst.

    Posted: 26 Jun 2021 02:36 PM PDT

As the title implies, it is currently impossible to get the Fourth Horseman catalyst, now unlike the Skyburner's Oath, the catalyst is what makes Fourth Horseman viable, greatly increasing the reload speed, and adding an extra shell in the mag. Bungie, it's been a year and 17 days since anyone has been able to obtain it, it's about time to add it back.

I’d play override and most of the PvE Content 10x more if the enemy density was higher

    Posted: 26 Jun 2021 12:58 PM PDT

While I do feel that PvE is actually in a good state right now I feel like at this point in the game's life the PvE side of the game is too easy (namely lower level sides of it: strikes, gambit, seasonal activities) not because the enemy's are to weak or they don't hit hard enough, but because there's just not enough enemies. Some of the times I've personally had the most fun in PvE are when I do 2-man strikes or altar of sorrow on the moon both of which are situations where the enemy density can get really high and something like a warmind cell build can actually reach its full potential. When the enemy density is high it actually feels like to me that I'm living out a power fantasy. I'm new to this sub Reddit so sorry if someone already brought this up recently. I also recognize that something like this could mess up the game for newer and players

I got so much support after my initial post. Thank you all so much. Here is another! This is the Warlock version of the Vapor Subclass. I tried mixing up the UI to change the feels. Let me know what you think!

With the dreaming city and moon weapons coming back - please fix the Toland bounty on the DC and add Essence of Envy on the moon

    Posted: 26 Jun 2021 06:20 PM PDT

If the Toland bounty is STILL broken, that is an extra day where we can't get weapons on the DC and unlike the moon, we can't focus efforts for weapons.

Also, there is zero reason we shouldn't be able to farm for Premonition - it's next to impossible to get and we can't farm for weapons in Pit of Heracy like we can in the prophecy dungeon after completion.

Hey Bungie, how about some more console sensitivity options?

    Posted: 26 Jun 2021 02:44 PM PDT

Love this game and all, but man is frustrating dying to a top tree dawn because I can't look up fast enough. Literally no downsides to this. Only going up to 10 is really limiting in such a movement based game :)

A Dream Come True (First Raid Experience!)

    Posted: 26 Jun 2021 01:31 PM PDT

I have been playing Destiny for about 6 years, and in that time I did everything except complete a Raid. First I was too young, then I moved to a country that had no Destiny population, and was always hyper afraid of never being given the chance to learn by a team. I soloed heroic strikes, nightfalls, grandmasters, and even got to 400 light solo, but a Raid just seemed so far out of reach.

Today I had my breakthrough. I saw an LFG post that was simply titled: "Just Want To Experience A Raid," I thought it was my best shot to try and get my first clear. I had been cussed out of teams for not having Anarchy, for not running double slug, and even because of my voice, but this time was different. There were 3 main guys who really stepped up and helped me and my two raidling companions fully understand the mechanics, and not be intimated by an obnoxious time robot.

By the time it was all said and done, I wholeheartedly knew all of the mechanics and so did the rest of my fireteam, and that beat any of the actual loot I got in the Raid (I only got Armor XD)

My fireteam made my dream come true. Thanks so much to my fireteam of:

    H.HammishTTV, Joel, FilC, HeubaTV, Wash

You made my freaking month :D

Also, some tips to try and get a clear:

    - Watch Raid guides beforehand, they give you a good idea of the mechanics

    - Avoid KWTD (Know What To Do) titled LFG posts, as they almost always want people already with clears and tend to be much less forgiving and friendly.

    - Don't be afraid to download voice chat apps, mainly Discord, because they help significantly. Once you know you can talk, don't be afraid to ask for clarification. If you have a true Raid team, they won't scorn you for making sure you got all the mechanics.

    - ALSO: Clear out your schedule! Your first try will usually take several hours unless you get an absolutely S-Tier team. I would recommend 3-5 hours as a reasonable amount of time to set aside.

Had an interesting bug in gambit today...

    Posted: 26 Jun 2021 05:32 PM PDT

The enemy team got their primeval up... and our teams ads just... stopped spawning... all except one lone Dreg that would continuously spawn... he spawned 3 times before the enemy just won but in the hopelessness I just couldn't help but laugh at what must have transpired behind the door, where every other Fallen just sorta gave up, except the one plucky young Dreg with everything to gain... and he just got slaughtered

Finally solo flawlessed prophecy which took half of my soul, here's how I did it

    Posted: 26 Jun 2021 05:55 PM PDT

    -Devour warlock

-Nezarec's Sin (thank god for xur lol)

-Warmind cell mods/CWL mods. I used taking charge, protective light, fireteam medic, warmind's decree, and wrath of rasputin (idk why I had it on but I just did lol I guess it works, you can use global reach instead if you want.)

-Double concussive dampener WILL CARRY YOU THROUGH THIS. Make sure to bundle up on it. Breach and clear is also necessary if you want to do big damage to the bosses.

-For kinetics, I used Witherhoard for Phalanx, Succession for Cube room (Hexahedron), and Ignition Code for Taken Skolas (Kell Echo, just called him that for some reason.)

-For energy, it was all Gnawing Hunger (the reckoning roll with Overflow/Rampage). If you don't have Gnawing Hunger, you could use a void energy with Demolitionist on it. I also used a Subtle Calamity with rampage/explosive head during Taken Skolas. More on that later.

-For heavy, I used Hezen Vengeance (any rocket will work tbh), Xenophage, and Anarchy. If you don't have Anarchy for Taken Skolas, you can stick with Witherhoard and Hezen, but Anarchy is 100% the way to go in this place.

I'm going to assume that if you're reading this, you know how to do Prophecy. If you don't, there are guides out there that can help you out.

For the beginning encounter, you can use anything you want, really. Just make sure you don't do anything stupid. If you use Witherhoard, you can stick one shot on the knights and sit in the spot of your choice (light or dark) and wait for it to die, dropping light or dark motes of your choice.

For the Phalanx, I killed one knight when the encounter started (immediately), and killed all the adds with Witherhoard, mostly. This encounter is extremely annoying, as RNG can sometimes screw you over (knight will straight aimbot you, or sit by the phalanx meaning you can't get shots off of them). Devour will help out a lot here, don't be afraid to throw your grenade if you have devour active, but be sure you can at least get your grenade back in case of an "oh crap" moment. For DPS, I would shoot witherhoard, throw a nova bomb, shoot 2 rockets of Hezen (I had overflow/vorpal on mine), spawnkill whatever goblins I could with witherhoard (shoot the blight right where you see them spawn), shoot whatever amount of Hezen I had left, shoot whatever Witherhoard I could shoot out, repeat. I ended up 2 phasing this boss, but my thought process was "I'd rather take more time and play it safe rather than do something ballsy and end up killing myself."

For the Wasteland, you can use a scout/sniper to take care of the hobgoblins up top, and one shot of Anarchy on a blight will kill it.

For the Cube Room, I quickly checked what type of motes I needed, killed the snipers quickly with Xenophage, and killed the knights with either Xenophage as well or Succession. The knights are all up to you, but Xenophage is a must for the snipers (unless you're a great shot and can pick them with Succession, your call).
Check motes -> kill snipers -> clear adds (with whatever, your call) -> kill knights -> drop motes -> go in elevator (which isn't bugged anymore, yay!!)
As for the """boss,""" you can simply just super the centurions or pelt them with xeno/sniper shots. I used my super on some groups of adds rarely, but it helps to play it safe/stay alive if you need to.

For the Rainbow Road, you can do whatever as well, as long as you just play it safe and don't do anything stupid. Watch out for that end elevator though, as laggy phalanxes/bungie will sometimes have a bad day and just kill you out of nowhere.

For Taken Skolas, it was pretty hard staying alive here lol. Make sure you have devour on 24/7, it will help a lot. You can kill the psions with gnawing/ignition, but killing knights with ignition will save your life a ton. If you're feeling extra risky, you can stick two Anarchy shots and sit in the spot of your choice to force the knights to drop light/dark motes. When an Ogre spawns, it's easiest to drop two anarchy shots on it and take cover. Make sure when you see an Ogre, Do Not Special J u m p, as the Ogres can fling you into the air with their attack and slam you into a wall, insta-killing you (learned this the hard way lol).
For DPS, before I dropped into the portal thingy, I would switch to Subtle Calamity to one shot the snipers on the platforms. When going back into the main room, I would then switch back to Gnawing Hunger. On the first platform, before the boss teleports, I stuck two anarchy shots, threw a nova bomb, pelted him with grenade launcher shots, then advanced a few platforms to take the snipers out early. My priority order was: stick two anarchy shots on the boss -> take out the snipers -> pelt boss with Ignition code -> stay up platforms -> repeat until damage is over. Make sure you keep up with the boss and that all snipers are dead, because it is very easy to die in this room.

Repeat everything you just did until the boss dies. Don't be afraid to take three or four phases. Again, if it's easier to play it safe than get a two phase, do that.

I didn't wake up one night and say "I'mma solo flawless the hardest dungeon in the game!!!" This took a while, a lot of rage, a lot of experimentation, and a little bit of luck.

But hey, you never know unless you try. I tried it, and did it finally.

Good luck anyone who wants to try this hellscape challenge

We need more SIVA/Taken-themed exotic weapons

    Posted: 26 Jun 2021 10:28 PM PDT

So far we only really have Outbreak Perfected and Whisper of the Worm. You might count Witherhoard and Malfeasance, and possibly Wish-Ender, but (IIRC) those were all man-made. We have so many exotics that are either just man-made or themed around the base enemies (Cabal, Fallen, Hive, Vex).

I'd also like to see a Acorn weapon. We don't have any of those in the game I don't think, even though they're technically just modified Fallen.

I think the 'extra' door in the boss room of Expunge: Styx is going to be the gateway to Quria

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 12:15 AM PDT

It's obviously a door or portal. Bungie did not put it there for no reason. We have not used it yet.

It also has a kind of weird energy radiating from it and as you approach it, you can easily see how it could be a mirror or looking glass to another location, like the doors in the Vault of Glass and the Whisper mission.

Lastly, when the boss fight is going on, if you take a minute to look at it, the door looks like it's locked. I know it's locked now, but during the fight it just looks like Bungie put special detail into that door making it look "locked". That was actually what made me think of it.
