The Duty Bound, DFA, Frontier Justice gun models are super cool, maybe use them in the future

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 02:31 PM PDT

    Those are my top three.

The point is that there are some really nice gun models in tha game that are not being used. Maybe put them in the world pool as a new gun or the same one with random rolls, even as nightfall exclusive guns (wink wink).

Can charge time masterworks PLEASE NOT REMOVE IMPACT anymore? Plug one becomes effectively useless with one.

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 04:38 PM PDT

Charge time masterwork sucks on fusions because it lowers the impact of the weapon as well, causing it to do less damage. It is the only masterwork I know of that gets a NEGATIVE when you masterwork it.

The intrinsic perk on exotic armor is more valuable than whatever stat loss you might experience from using a bad roll.

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 07:55 PM PDT

I hear it everytime I get on LFG: "I can't use that I don't have a good roll." In regards to most popular PVE exotics, they are worth wearing even if they had no stats. Waiting a few extra seconds for some abilities is going to be greatly overshadowed by whatever the granted ability can do for you and your team.

Obsessing over stats is encouraged in pvp...but it just doesn't matter as much in pve. I promise you will be okay...I've suffered through many collections roll exotics and lived to tell you that I didn't notice they were a collections roll unless I opened my menu to see the stats.

    I love this game

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 04:26 PM PDT

No hate, just thought I'd send some love towards the game I've been playing since 2014. I joined the USMC in 2011 and got a firefighting MOS so my job can be really stressful at times. This game has helped me cope with a lot of downtime and hard times in my life.

For me, one of the best parts about destiny is getting to play with friends I've met in the military who have moved away or are still here. I'm thankful to Bungie for making this game and can't wait to see where it goes!

Bungie, please either reissue Horror’s Least, or remove the collection seal requirement from cursebreaker.

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 08:24 AM PDT

Basically title. I've been thinking this for a while, but with this weeks TWAB revealing that LITERALLY EVERY OTHER DC WEAPON is getting reissued except the one hard locking most players out of Cursebreaker, I was motivated to say something. I'm one of five people I know who have every requirement for Cursebreaker except Horror's Least. I figured when they started fixing bones and ascendant challenges so that the title was obtainable they would either remove the requirement or allow the weapon to drop from alt sources, but no. I am generally of the opinion that collection seals shouldn't be a part of titles to begin with as they add unnecessary rng to a process that should be based on mastery, but that's a different rant. Give me horrors least or give me death plz.

Hey bungie can warlocks please get a class unique sword that has a unique frame?

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 02:01 PM PDT

It's sad that when d2 launched Titans and hunters got their frames for swords and warlocks just got the same basic frame that every other sword had and now with these swords being reissued and warlocks still only getting a vortex frame sword that every other class can get comes off as lazy.

Please dont delete, remove, castrate, exterminate, or Thanos snap Gambit.

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 12:46 PM PDT

    Title.

Tweak the game mode/bring some more prime mechanics back.

I just cant take the rift brand of salt again when something was complained out of existence and as soon as it was gone people who liked it started to speak up way too late.

Just....dont delete it please even if the idea is picking up steam, Id rather not lose an entire avenue of getting loot just because. Id rather trash can my way into a bottom dollar than it being in the world pool or something else. Replacing it with something else that has the same loot also seems like the worse option when you can just keep it and add whatever new thing they make on top of it.

How does Gambit count as a "pillar of the game" if it doesn't even have a pinacle activity? Difficulties? Rotating Gamemodes?

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 04:20 AM PDT

I think this highlights the state of Gambit and the utter lack of care put into it better than any post about opressive invaders or motes falling through the floor. Strikes have Nightfalls/GMN and you can probably also count Dungeons and a Raid into this, PvP has Trials and Iron Banner, but Gambit "just exists".

And no, this is not a "bring back PRIME"-Thread. PRIME addresses "some" problems of current Gambit, but also introduces it's own fair share of problems while not fixing the core issues of Gambit as a whole. It would just be a different flavor or a turd sandwich. The same with all the calls for a Freelance-Playlist, you'd still be stomped by a team that manages to invade first or has som lucky heavy drops. The same with "better rewards", like Bottom Dollar, a bribe will not suddenly make the mode more enjoyable.... see how that works out for Trials, at best, people will go into the mode in apathy and at some point just AFK farm it ...

If PvP is Destinys "unwanted step child", then Gambit is the kid that you trapped behind a wall in the basement and that somehow still scraches on the wall after months of abandonment.

I have my fair share of ideas for "minor" adjustments to the current version of Gambit and "major" gameplay changing reworks, but I don't think "Armchair Development" would benefit anyone.

Even if they were to somehow "fix" Gambit as a whole ... the mode is so stigmatiest and loaded with bad experiences that it's questionable if anybody would really care. This raises the question if it wouldn't be more benefitial if they delete the mode and replace it with something else.

I dare to say that this "PvEvP" mode is one of the more unique modes in all of Destiny, and something that other games don't seem to offer as well... but it can be as unique or special as it wants to be if it's simply not fun and keeps getting sidelined for any usefull updates.

I think they are really close with Override to have a good "pure PvE" Gambit replacement, it's still a bit rough around the edges and some aspects need a second look but the foundation is there for a good mini Horde-like mode. It could play like some kind of Heist, commentated by Drifter, where we collect Motes of Darkness, while evading enemies ... only for every now and then "get invaded" by a ton of Taken, and some party members must "invade" a taken realm to kill a mini-boss to end it while the rest remains to defend the Bank so nothing gets drained.

    TLDR:

Gambit's in a bad state, but at this point we, the playerbase AND Bungie as the developer, have ask if we even want it "fixed" and not just replaced with something "new" and "refined" that is not saddled with the "sins of the father".

Lack of social systems is leading to more and more new players quitting the game. Destiny's reliance on outside tools is unhealthy for the game

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 02:31 PM PDT

I see so many threads of "stop complaining about good loot being in raids" and "why can't I play grandmasters"

I think what people sometimes forget is that not everyone knows of the third-party tools that exists and help destiny 2 being a better game experience. Things like DIM, the LFG's, discord for clans, and so on. And well, not every casual player knows of these tools.

For a new player, a raid is simply an activity he can not play because he doesn't have any friends. He doesn't know he can just go on a lfg and get someone to teach him that. Not everyone knows reddit exists, not everyone gets the thought of going into youtube, not everyone knows of the free guides online.

So when I see people complain about rewards being "locked to sweaty veterans", I just think they simply don't know of the whole ecosystem that exists and keeps this game floating.

It's something that has been talked time and time again, but yet here we are. We need social systems, we need bungie to implement outside functions inside the game, we need the game to tell new players at least the basics of endgame content so they can learn a raid or get someone (inside the game!) to tell them how to do a raid so we can have a more begginer friendly game.

About guided games: It's just LFG lotery into a sherpa matchmaking system. It's subpar for a game where you have people from all regions and people with different skills levels.

I don't know how to fix this, I'm not a game dev. But I'm a player, and players are great at pointing problems. I hope with this thread we can bring more attention to this issue and help bungie fix this situation.

PS: About the external tools. I think they do a fantastic job, but they shouldn't be a requirement to play the game, they should be a complement of the game experience. I like bungie talking about them inside the game on the vault, but anyone can also easily miss that message.

Everyone talks about bringing raids, strikes, and crucible maps back from D1, and we’re getting them. But has everyone forgotten about prison of elders

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 03:20 PM PDT

I think a very good idea would be to rework it and bring it back to Destiny 2 as a horde mode. Everyone has always asked for one, and Bungie can implement it very well I believe. Each wave can be a different enemy faction, with different champions. Higher up in the waves more modifiers get added, maybe every 3 rounds you also get a beneficial modifier. Besides the obvious enemy density and health/shield level as the waves go up, eventually 2 enemy factions can spawn, with additional champions etc. every 5 waves or so we can have additional tasks just like back in prison of elders, dismantling mines and such. And for the obvious, rewards, we can get rewards every 5 waves or so, with an additional chest when the horde mode ends, or you lose. Higher rounds granting high stat exotics, maybe adept versions of some weapons, and adept mods etc. thoughts?

Bonus: no clue where skolas fits into this LMFAO

If you don't know how overloads work yet or feel they're inconsistent, here's a rundown for those weapon types.

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 11:47 AM PDT

Smg and autos are the same where the overload shot procs after one second of holding down the trigger. This is consistent and works every time. If you miss your overload shots don't just keep holding down the trigger cause it won't reproc. Let go and then shoot for another second and it'll reproc.

Hc overload shot procs at the 3rd consecutive hit to where you get a 5 second timer. This is why timed or explosive payloads are awesome cause they count as 2 hits per shot. This means shoot them twice and the overload shots will be from the second shot instead of third.

Tips and tricks You can't reproc overload stun immediately on the overload till the glow around them is gone. But in that time being if you hit them with overload shots over and over before they start moving then they will stand still and never teleport. Video of eso showing this.

Assassin's Cowl Clipping Through 80% of the cloaks in the game.

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 08:48 AM PDT

I've been sitting on this feedback since shadowkeep came out and I've been confident this would have been addressed, but it hasn't. Assassin's Cowl is an underrated hunter exotic helmet that is invaluable to my build, except it has the issue of clipping through majority of the cloaks in the game.

⭐Bungie!! Can we please get an ornament or a simple fix to this? I hate having to limit my cloak selection because this helmet clips through them all!

I’ve never had more fun in destiny PvE

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 06:47 PM PDT

I've recently made my return to destiny and I am blown away with how fun Endgame PvE is now. I absolutely love studying the modifiers of a master lost sector or nightfall and creating a build around it. Charged with light or warmind cells? Or a bit of both? Which champion disrupters will I run?

I just love the trial and error and how satisfying it is to create and optimise a build that works!!

Why do people think skill based matchmaking is bad?

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 05:00 PM PDT

I genuinely have no Idea how people can think skill based matchmaking is bad for any game. The most I hear is from extremely good players saying" but then I have to wait longer!". No one cares about your wait times your the the top 2% of the community. Another problem I have is that the meta feels like gatekeeping because not everyone can use it. I don't like hand cannons but if you can use them You become better than most of the community. This wouldn't be a problem if we had skill based matchmaking. I could feel comfortable trying them out if I didn't get stomped for using them.

    Malfeasance Buff & Catalyst Ideas

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 06:13 AM PDT

Note: The idea here is to provide realistic upgrades that will help underperforming Exotic weapons. No Wolfpack Rounds. No Pocket Infinity. No BS.

    Explosive Shadow

    1. Stacking five slugs on one target should cause one large explosion, like in the Forsaken Weapon Trailer. Yes, a barrel was hidden behind the minotaur but that was misleading as hell.
    2. Four consecutive precision hits on one target cause tainted slugs to detonate early for full Explosive Shadow effect. (Possibility of getting five explosions instead of four in one mag)

Note: Currently, the "explosion" is rather underwhelming and proccing Explosive Shadow slightly early through precision would be a nice benefit

    Taken Predator

    1. The damage bonus against Taken and Invaders is actually decent (has been buffed a couple times in the past) so no changes are needed. At most, a Threat Detector like effect could happen when near these specific enemies.

Note: As stated above the damage bonus is good but a little something extra could be implemented to boost the "Taken/Invader Hunter" playstyle

    Catalyst- Ascendant Gunfighter

    1. Full power Explosive Shadow kills temporarily grant increased rate of fire (^10-20rpm) and handling. Reloading or stowing will cancel this effect.

    If Too OP

    1. Explosive Shadow final blows return ammo to the magazine. (4-5 rounds)

Note: The idea is to have a catalyst that allows more fluidity in combat so you can have more explosions and fun while not breaking anything in the meantime (Crucible)

I was just introduced to Time Wasted on Destiny....

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 05:18 AM PDT

A friend recently introduced me to wastedondestiny.com to view my time spent playing this game (it does not track social areas or idling in space).

In D2, I have logged, to my horror, 1,607 hours and 42 minutes. I am in the top 5% of total players in regards to play time.... and I'm still just the world's "Okayest" Guardian when it comes to skill.

If we add D1 stats, tack on an additional ~700 hours.
