This week at Bungie, we take a pass on Armor Mods and Exotics.

As we get closer to launch, I can't help but feel we should keep these introductions short and sweet. So, with that in mind, I'll keep this to a bulleted list:

    • Have you played Destiny 2 this week?

      • Check out the Epilogue. It's pretty sweet. No spoilers!
    • We have less than two weeks until our Destiny 2 Showcase.

      • Are you hyped? We are.
    • We previewed some Season 15 Champion Mods this week.

      • Miss it? Well, here you go:

    Happy Champion hunting, Guardians.

Time is flying by. We have a bit to cover. We hit you last week with a bulky sandbox update for abilities. This week, we're focusing on Exotic armor and armor mods. Let's get into the thick of it.

    Fine Tuning

Each Season gives exciting opportunity for pieces of the sandbox to move up or down. Activities and encounters are one piece of the puzzle, providing fresh challenges for Guardians to take on with the plethora of tools in their toolbox. This week, the Armor and Expressions Team has some notes on how a few of your tools are changing. Some will be slightly more limited in dominating your enemies, but still perfectly viable options to take into battle. Some will get a bit hotter...

Team: Hello from your loyal blacksmiths working at our digital forge. Over the next few Seasons, we're aiming to bring some Exotic armor outliers back into line. Though this does mean that some overperforming favorites are going to get a little off the top, it also means that we get to inject some excitement into some less popular choices. First, we'll start with something that's been top of mind for many controller players since Destiny 2 was released, followed by details on our upcoming balance pass.

    Controller Sensitivity and Traction

The Traction mod felt mandatory for PvP on controller and unnecessary on mouse and keyboard. This felt to be more appropriate as an accessibility option rather than a balance choice. Players (including us) have also long felt that maximum 10 sensitivity wasn't enough on controller, so we're making some changes to bring controller input closer to parity with keyboard and mouse.

    • Added a sprint turn speed scalar option (allowed values 0.3 to 0.8).

      • Removed the Traction mod.
    • Added additional controller sensitivity options (1-10 sensitivity is the same as before, 11-20 increases over that).

    • Added an ADS sensitivity modifier (allowed values 0.5 to 1.5).

    Super Regenerating Exotics

    Image Linkimgur

The first set of changes, coming in Season 15, have to do with Exotics that refund Super energy. As a group, these Exotics tend to outshine other Exotic choices, especially in high difficulty, endgame activities. In some cases, they can trivialize the content or make it feel like the only reasonable option to equip for your build. Most of our changes here aim to standardize how these Exotics work and to place a cap on how much Super uptime they can grant by themselves. To offset these changes, some of the perks were reworked to be more generous with their refund minimums. There's also a new member of the family!

    • Shards of Galanor: Increased the amount of Super granted for hits, but total Super regain is now capped at 50%.
    • Ursa Furiosa: Capped the amount of Super energy you can regain once your Super ends at 50%.
    • Skull of Dire Ahamkara: Increased the amount of Super refunded per kill, but total Super gain is capped at 50%.
    • Phoenix Protocol: Capped the amount of Super energy you can regain once your Super ends at 50%.
    • Stormdancer's Brace: Now also refunds up to 50% of your Super energy after your Super ends, based on the number of kills.
    • Geomag Stabilizers: Removed "sprint to top off your Super."

      • This part of the perk led to a higher uptime in PvP than was healthy and gave Attunement of Control Warlocks an immediately renewable supply of Super energy for paying for mod costs like Special Finisher in PvE.

    Retunes and Reworks

The next batch of changes is focused on injecting some more power and excitement into some less popular choices. There are a few Exotics that missed the boat this time that need some extra special attention (like a certain pair of Hunter boots), and a lot more that could benefit from a nudge or two.

    Hunter

    Image Linkimgur

    • The Bombardiers

      • The bomb now has a secondary effect based on your subclass type:

        • Blind for Arc.
        • Burn for Solar.
        • Slow for Stasis.
        • Suppress for Void.
        • Note: The suppression will not affect a Guardian in Super.
    • Graviton Forfeit

      • Increased the bonus invisibility duration.
      • The melee regeneration speed now increases based on the number of enemies near you.
      • While you are invisible, your Recovery is greatly increased, and your weapons reload more quickly.
    • Lucky Pants

      • Added intrinsic Hand Cannon Holster mod, replaced previous functionality with the following:
      • "When you ready a fully-loaded Hand Cannon that deals Kinetic damage or damage matching your subclass energy type, for a short time each hit against a combatant from that Hand Cannon increases the damage of the next shot."
        • Note: No, Hawkmoon won't be able to one-shot a raid boss using these legs. Other Hand Cannons will get a fun edge in combat, though!
      • What is a Hand Cannon Holster mod? A new kind of mod that reloads stowed weapons. More on that below…

    Titan

    Image Linkimgur

    • Precious Scars

      • Will now also create a burst of healing and bonus Recovery around you whenever you kill an enemy with a weapon whose damage type matches your subclass type.
    • Icefall Mantle

      • Removed the slower class ability recharge scalar.

    Warlock

    Image Linkimgur

    • Verity's Brow

      • Changed to trigger when you get a weapon kill that matches your subclass energy type.
      • Increased grenade damage bonus to 20% per stack (up from 10%).
    • The Stag

      • Grants damage reduction to allied Guardians standing in your Rifts.
        • 25% against combatants, 15% against players.
    • Promethium Spur

      • Has additional functionality:
      • While standing in a Rift, Solar weapon kills give you class ability energy.
      • When your class ability energy is full, Solar weapon kills consume that energy and spawn a combination healing/empowering Rift at the target's location.

Keep your eyes open for other changes to come in the wake of these as well. Our goal for the next few Seasons, especially following the launch of The Witch Queen, is to increase the variety of fun and powerful choices available to players in PvE and PvP alike.

Finders, Scavengers, and Holsters – Oh My!

We are also rolling out some changes to mods that affect the ammo economy. Running double ammo scavenger mods makes it too easy to have 100% uptime with special weapons in both PvP and PvE. In PvP specifically, we believe this is an important factor in how oppressive certain Special weapons feel. Reducing their effectiveness is a step towards addressing this - we're prepared to revisit this depending on how it plays when it's out in the wild. We're also looking to improve Ammo Finder to make it a bit easier to earn Special and Heavy ammo in PvE, while introducing a new type of Leg armor mod that reloads stowed weapons.

    • Ammo Finder

      • Now have an increased chance to spawn ammo on kills with primary weapons, and a further increased chance with Exotic Primaries.
    • Scavenger

      • Multiple copies of Scavenger mods of the same type no longer stack.
    • Holster

      • This is a new type of leg armor mod that will gradually reload stowed weapons of the matching type over time.
        • Multiple copies of Holster mods of the same type will increase the rate ammo is reloaded.
      • The following weapon types will have Holster mods: Auto Rifle, Fusion Rifle, Grenade Launcher (Power), Hand Cannon, Linear Fusion Rifle, Machine Gun, Pulse Rifle, Scout Rifle, Shotgun, Sidearm, Submachine Gun, Sniper Rifle, and Trace Rifle.
        • Hand Cannon excludes Eriana's Vow.
        • Rocket Launchers, Breech-loaded Grenade Launchers, and Bows will not have Holster mods, as we didn't want to affect any weapon that has a magazine size of 1.

    Warmind Cells. Interlinked.

To be blunt: these are currently too powerful.

This isn't a surprise. Even at their introduction, we knew they were very strong. That was the point! At the time these were created, they were only expected to last for about a year, so we could push the envelope on something cool and flavorful knowing that they wouldn't be around breaking things forever with the force of Rasputin's explosive wrath. They would have a time to shine, but eventually leave and make room for the next exciting thing. Now that they are able to remain viable in endgame content indefinitely, we feel it's necessary to bring them down to be more in line with what the rest of the sandbox is capable of. If we didn't, it would cause ongoing problems for activity design and weapon rewards.

    • Base Warmind Cells

      • Reduced radius of the explosion/effect range of Warmind Cells (10 → 6 meters).
      • Reduced damage of the explosion of Warmind Cells (previously 200-400 → now 50-250).
    • Global Reach

      • Increase the mod cost of Global Reach to 3.
      • Reduce the amount of radius increase (20 → 10 meters).
    • Cellular Suppression

      • Reduce the duration of the suppressing effect when using Cellular Suppression (3 seconds → 2 seconds).
    • Wrath of Rasputin

      • Reduce bonus Solar damage (previously 100-200 → now 25-100).

    Elemental Wells

Two Elemental Well mods are getting improvements in order to make them a more competitive choice when compared to other Combat Style mods.

    • Elemental Armaments now has an increased chance to spawn an elemental well based on the tier of the enemy defeated.
    • Font of Might's base duration has been increased to 10 seconds and increased the damage bonus provided from 10% to 25%.

And there you have it! With abilities and armor down, we have one sandbox topic left to cover: weapons. We'll see you again next week for our final Season 15 flight check.

    Fit for an Iron Lord

Last Season, Lord Saladin brought some fresh weapons to the fold for Guardians to earn in the Iron Banner. Riiswalker packed a punch in the Crucible, and Archon's Thunder could go on a rampage in PvE. Next Season, two new weapons will make their appearance: the Forge's Pledge Pulse Rifle and Peacebond Sidearm, each available through vendor packages, bounties, match rewards, and the Seasonal Iron Banner quest.

    Image Linkimgur

    But that's not all...

It's been some time since Saladin brought a fresh set of armor to earn. Pulled from the depths of forgotten seas, these pieces worn by warriors of the past are ready for battle once more. Introducing the Iron Forerunner set.

    Image Linkimgur

Starting next Season, we'll be introducing the Iron Lord's Pride intrinsic perk through this set. Wearing a piece of this armor grants a small chance of an Enhancement Prism dropping at the end of an Iron Banner match. Each additional piece worn increases the chance, capping out at four pieces total. Defeat your foes with the fury of an Iron Forge. Show no mercy.

In just a few weeks, you can begin to collect all these new rewards. Stay tuned for announcements!

Even on weeks when we don't have larger game updates, the Player Support Team is at the ready to hop on any fires that might pop up. We had a slight hiccup with a quest that was resolved this week, and they have the full details.

    This is their report.

    HOW TO REPORT GAME ISSUES

Players who encounter issues in game are encouraged to report them to our Help Forums where other players, volunteer Community Moderators, and Destiny Player Support can help answer questions and escalate issues.

When reporting an issue, please make sure to include the following information to help us with our investigations:

    • A detailed description of the issue.
    • What you were doing when it occurred.
    • Where in the game it occurred.
    • An image or video of the issue if applicable.
    • If an error code was received, specify the exact code.
    • The platform and character you were playing on.

Players are also encouraged to view our Known Issues article for the current Season prior to reporting issues to ensure that they are not already under investigation.

    PREVIOUS SEASON REWARDS

From the Previous Season page on Bungie.net, players can collect Season Pass rewards they earned during the previous Season that were left uncollected. Players will have until the start of the new Season on August 24 to claim any previously earned Season Pass rewards from Season of the Chosen. Once Season of the [REDACTED] starts, the Previous Season page will be updated with Season of the Splicer rewards.

To collect previous Season rewards, players needed to have earned the corresponding Season Pass rank during that Season. Players should note that the ability to claim previously earned Season Pass rewards is only available for the immediate previous Season, with uncollected rewards from prior Seasons becoming permanently unavailable.

    KNOWN ISSUES

While we continue investigating various known issues, here is a list of the latest issues that were reported to us in our #Help Forum:

    • Players who have a full quest inventory can pick up the "As Prophesied" quest. This quest can be acquired again from the Quest Archive.
    • At the end of the newest Override mission, players should wait for the timer to end and not press anything so they can view a cutscene.
    • Some messages in the H.E.L.M. and Eliksni Quarter don't show subtitles or names.
    • Sometimes players in a fireteam won't be able to view seasonal cutscenes.
    • Champions may not spawn in the final boss room of the Warden of Nothing on Grandmaster difficulty.
    • In French, the Exo Stranger's Weekly Challenge incorrectly tells players to defeat enemies using Stasis while on Europa. To progress this Challenge, players will need to defeat enemies using Stasis when NOT on Europa.
    • Solstice Key Fragments remain in some player's inventories after the conclusion of Solstice of Heroes.
    • The Laconic ornament for The Last Word ejects bullet casings when firing, while the base weapon does not.

For a full list of emergent issues in Destiny 2, players can review our Known Issues article. Players who observe other issues should report them to our #Help forum.

First pick this week showed some skill in the realm of cosplay. It's been a while since we've been to a convention and will probably be a while longer to keep people safe. In any case, we're excited to see Guardians creating awesome cosplays to pass the time.

Two sandbox TWABs down, one more to go. Next week, we've got some fun details on weapons.

All I have to say is, get ready for Season of the Voop. No, that's not the official name of the Season. I'm just excited that Fusion Rifles will have a Champion mod next Season. Not to mention the upcoming Fusion Rifle changes, which we'll cover next week...

    See you again soon!

Bungie no one is going to run elemental wells until you make it so we don’t have to leave cover to pick them up.

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 12:32 PM PDT

    Title.

No one is going to go die in a GM to go pick up a well. That's always been the biggest drawback for ALL elemental mods. Warmind cells can be shot from a distance and almost all CWL mods trigger on yourself (shield break charge, weapon charges, etc.)

If you ever want anyone to take these mods seriously stop spawning them on enemies. Idc if it gives me a 50% damage buff, I'm not leaving cover just to be sniped while trying to grab one.

Edit: my favorite suggestions so far are 1.) Making the Wells work similar to Ionic Traces 2.) making them work like thorn/lumina orbs and 3.) removing some of the strictness

If the new prism dropping perk on Iron Banner armor is a sign Bungie is willing to experiment and dabble with armor set bonuses, hell yeah.

The sets look nice and have added functionality, I'll sure try to get them.

Go to town, get wild and keep 'em coming.

There is something about the epilogue that people arent discussing enough

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 07:46 AM PDT

On variations of Override Last City, you can fight simulated Taken instead of regular Vex.

I think this is a big red flag that gives credence to a theory that has been flying around ever since we battled Quria.

That theory being that Quria didnt really die.

I want to present this theory again now that we have seen the epilogue, and Ill go one by one through the arguments.

    • Quria's death animation:

Quria is a Taken Vex Hydra, of the same model as Panoptes. Hydras explode upon death, leaving nothing of their bodies behind as they have a self destruct mechanism on their chassis. I also went on youtube and looked at Panoptes's death animation from back in Curse of Osiris, and it also blows up.

When Quria is defeated, it explodes into a data stream. This is highly strange for a Hydra, even a Taken one, and what is even stranger is that it leaves behind its head.

Hydras dont leave that behind. Panoptes didnt do that either.

I think that was done intentionally, because the next clue is Quria's head.

    • Quria's remains:

After Quria is defeated, its head is left behind. Conveniently placed for players to examine closely.

(I would upload some screenshots, but for some reason imgur isnt cooperating with me, so if you wanna see this for yourselves you can go for a quick kill of Quria, or just search online for a picture.)

Quria's head has parts that are unraveling into a sort of data blueprint. I dont know if that makes sense, but what Im trying to say is that it looks like a simulation that is starting to come apart after being destroyed.

Why would Bungie deliberately choose to include that detail when they could just have had Quria explode and die like literally every other Vex weve fought in the series?

This, combined with how Quria's body blows up into data, suggests we didnt fight the real Quria.

    That was a simulation.

    • There should have been more consequences for Quria's death, but there werent:

Savathun doesnt Take herself. And she doesnt command the Taken directly either.

Quria, being the only Vex that knows how to simulate paracausality, and specifically Darkness, made a simulation of Oryx that then Takes for Savathun, and the Taken then follow the commands of this Oryx simulation.

So if Quria actually died, how does Savathun still command the Taken? Wouldnt the Oryx simulation have been undone like the Endless Night?

They should be aimless like they were following the Taken King campaign.

Another important point, is that the Dreaming City cycle is still up and running with no signs of being destabilized or slowing down.

Quria is responsible for the time loop part of the curse.

So if Quria died, wouldnt that mean the curse would unravel too?

    • Simulated Taken in Override Last City:

The Vex cant simulate paracausality. They cant simulate Taken, or Scorn, or Ascendant Hive.

The reason why we fight simulated Scorn and Champions during Override is because its Quria behind those simulations.

Now, I know that the past Overrides are still available and they still have Champions and Scorn. But those Overrides take place before Quria's defeat.

The epilogue canonically happens after Solstice, as Lakshmi said "they are forcing us to revere our dead heroes alongside their murderers".

So if Quria died, how are the Vex simulating Taken during the epilogue?

And how is there still a Subjugated Mind that is fought at the end? Who is it still Subjugated to?

Not Savathun, because she needed Quria to influence the Vex Network.

So the only answer then is that Quria remains.

We didnt kill it. We were tricked into thinking we did.

The Endless Night was lifted not because Quria died, but because Savathun willed it so as part of her deception.

    What are your thoughts?

Osmosis just got a helluva stealth buff

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 11:53 AM PDT

All these exotic armor changes requiring you to get weapon-matched eliminations.

"Get a kill with a weapon that matches your subclass"

"Kills buff the weapon matching your subclass"

"Now only applies to weapons that match your subclass"

You wanna know what perk guarantees any kinetic weapon to instantly turn into the element that matches your subclass?

    That's right, bitches.

    Osmosis.

For example, Fatebringer can roll with Osmosis and Firefly. Warlocks? Put on Verity's Brow, toss your stasis turret, and now every Fatebringer kill will give you that 20% discipline buff towards your next turret.

Titans? Same for you. Toss a grenade, any grenade, your favorite subclass grenade...and now every Fatebringer kill will heal you and your allies.

Be warned people. Osmosis is about to become the new build-crafting meta.

Hey Bungie, with all these new buffs, debuffs, gear effects, mods etc... will you improve UI to reflect them all?

    Title.

Cant be the only one who hates how effects keep stacking and i'm not able to see them all on screen even when i know some of them actually proc'd.

Charged with light, Protective Light, Elemental Well boost. Outlaw, Rapid Hit, Heating up, Feeding Frenzy, Frenzy, Tunnel Vision, Kill Clip / Multi Kill Clip, Swashbuckler, Adrenaline Junkie

These are only SOME basic ones, i'm not even listing the class-based ones (Icarus Dash cooldown, Devour) or exotic ones (Battle Harmony syphoon, well of radiance) or friendly buffs (heart of the pack, resistance) or the enemy debuffs.

Why overload bow is AMAZING in grandmaster nightfalls and why you shouldn't write it off going into season 15!

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 09:11 AM PDT

Video (SKIP TO 1:24 IF YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT GOOFY INTRO): https://youtu.be/jnnptcsSfk8?t=84

Hey, Mactics again... guess I just can't stay away from yall!

Grandmaster nightfalls for this season are done, which just means it is time to start talking about grandmaster nightfalls next season thanks to bungie's recent announcement of our season 15 grandmaster nightfall mods. I wanted to focus specifically on overload bow since it seems that a lot of folks think that it is as lackluster of a choice as unstoppable sidearm... but I am here today to show you that that is not at all the case!

To first understand why overload bow is so amazing, we first need to talk about what we are looking for in an overload weapon. And to understand that we need to talk about what overload champions do. So of course overload champions relentlessly rush you unless stunned. Additionally, they have damage resistance and quickly regenerate health while not stunned or while not being hit with overload rounds. Additionally, there is a brief period of time after a stun where an overload champion will be unstunned and will not be able to be stunned again for a few seconds.

With all this in mind, we want a weapon that can quickly ready an overload round to get the initial stun. We want a weapon that can continuously fire overload rounds without significant delay to stop health regen during the unstunnable portion. And finally, we want a weapon that can do this with decent damage so we can stagger the overload during the unstunnable period so it does shoot us. A bonus perk is also having a weapon that can do this from range.

Almost all overload weapons fall short in one or more of these categories. Hand cannons have too low of a mag capacity and can't effectively maintain overload rounds during the unstunnable period. SMGs have too low of a mag size and take too long to ready overload rounds. Auto rifles don't pack big enough of a punch to stagger during the unstunnable phase. But BOWS. Well bows check every single one of these boxes.

They can hit heavy. They can hit from range. They have great ammo economy. They have great overload shot ready time with every single fully drawn arrow being an overload shot. They have great stagger potential. And they have overall good damage.

Not only do the legendary bows have great perk combinations like archers tempo and frenzy for faster draw times and better damage, but there are also 3 exotic bows, 1 of each element, that are incredible.

Ticuu's Divination can hit multiple targets at once and apply a burn that applies the effects of overload rounds. Le monarque can apply a poison via crits that ticks overtime and also applies the effects of overload rounds. And trinity ghoul can have some nasty aoe.

Don't let people convince you that overload bow is a bad option for grandmaster nightfalls just because bows aren't one of the go to weapons for pve. I've ran enough grandmaster nightfalls and used every possible option enough to know what is effective and what is not. I can personally promise you that if you give overload bow an honest chance in season 15, you will be pleasantly surprised, and might even have a new favorite overload weapon.

As always, if you have any questions fire em off below!

    Thanks for watching/reading!

The growing issue with inventory capacity

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 12:50 PM PDT

I'm perpetually up against the vault space limit, and while the arguments pop up now and again about whether we need more space or not, we're definitely going a direction that requires a storage improvement. Each season Bungie is (thankfully) adding more armor and weapons, as well as weapon mods and exotic functionality that balloons the space that we need. Outside of the most conservative collection managers, sooner or later every player will feel the sting of the current storage system. Here's some quick and fairly rough math:

If you keep high end builds for 3 characters, with three different elements, statted any sort of different way (say 3), you're starting at 135 slots. Plus one good roll on each exotic armor is another 96 (231 total). If you run separate kits for PvP that's double, so 462 slots filled out of 500+character inv (150). Your total storage is 71% full before you even consider weapons, of which there is even more variance and necessity to "hoard" different perk rolls and elements types, even within the same archetype.

Let's talk weapons then. There are roughly 189 PL-relevant weapons in the game right now (rough visual count, I'm likely off by a few) and 71 exotics. Inside of the parameters I've arbitrarily laid out, that puts our vault total at 722 gear for 650 slots.

Not to mention alternate rolls, experimental build options, or different mod kits since quick swapping is neither time nor cost effective, and that's considering you can even reasonably track any of it. If you have any intent of min-maxing the game, it's an exercise in futility. This imbalance will only grow every time new content comes out, which is definitely a problem I'd pick over not having anything new. Regardless, our vaults are stuffed and it's only getting worse.

    So here are some solutions:

    • Double our vault space: I'm sure this comes with a huge performance hit, not to mention solves nothing in terms of finding what you want, but just having a place to store it would be a start

    • Fix/overhaul the collections system: Lots of issues trying to bring this up to a functional place in the era of random rolls, but this would keep a lot of postmasters and vaults free of infrequently used weapons at the very least.

    • Addative weapon perks/unlocked armor elements: As we acquire weapon rolls, fill them out as potential combinations on each weapon. Instead of keeping 3 different Fatebringer rolls, let us rock one fatebringer and call up a specific roll OR select perks from an increased table on the weapon. Likewise with armor, let us pay big to permanently unlock an element to switch to, rather than paying every time.

Disclaimers: I know there are many out there who don't have any issue keeping your vaults clear, but just because it isn't an issue for you doesn't mean that it's a barrier to other players. I also recognize this is supremely subjective math on my end; apologies, it's the best I can offer. I also know that each solution comes with drawbacks, and may not even be achievable in the game. I'm just bummed that I have to spend my gameplay weekend sorting through my armor and weapon rolls, rather than jumping into activities.

If you have any other solution ideas or have some constructive feedback on what I've said, I'll look forward to chatting below. Cheers guardians!

    TL;DR We're gonna need a bigger vault.

Kevin Yanes on Twitter confirmed values around the new turn speed scalar setting

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 06:41 PM PDT

From the TWAB we know this setting will go from 0.3 to 0.8 (at least), but we didn't know which of these settings was the default turn speed with and without Traction equipped.

    Kevin says:

"0.8 is the traction value. Hope this helps!"

    https://twitter.com/_Tocom_/status/1425973058112684034?s=19

So this must mean 0.8 is the setting you want to use in order to maintain your Traction turning speed once the Traction mod is gone, and 0.3 for the default normal turning speed if you prefer not to use Traction.

PS: hallelujah for faster look sensitivity and the addition of an Aim-Down-Sights Look Sensitivity setting! New settings are always a win!

I soloed all the Spoils to buy Anarchy

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 11:00 AM PDT

It didn't drop for me in ~10 SotP clears before the vault, and then I took a break for the first two seasons of this year. My schedule and ability to dedicate time to raids isn't what it used to be, so I've been mostly solo this season. After VoG released I saw the sparrow breach glitch to get the first secret chest, so I figured I could spend a few minutes each week and save enough to buy Anarchy sometime in October.

Then Bungie announced the nerf at the start of next season, and I decided I needed to experience Anarchy in its full glory. I stepped up my game and learned to solo Raising the Spire, doubling my haul. Plus I used the "no wipe glitch" to solo Kalli for extra spoils each week. Last night I hit 240 and cashed them in. I've sworn not to unequip the gun until the nerf patch goes live on the 24th!

Edit:. I know I could have done it faster with a Templar farm, but by the time I figured that out I was a large portion of the way there and it became a pride point.

I don't know why I got excited for new Iron Banner Armor knowing the design choices made in the past.

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 02:30 PM PDT

I didn't ask to look like Cobra Commander.

Midlevel inspired armor sets or reissued ones from D1 as they were originally designed after would be nice.

The armor design team is so trapped in their Asymmetrical Bubble it's baffling. Quit pushing asymmetry so hard and put a fair amount of both Symmetrical and Asymmetrical armors.

It ticks me off to no end that my left arm or leg looks sexy as hell but the right side looks ugly or out of place because"Art". This also ruins any hope of Shaders working the way you want because the left side shades different from the right side.

Now from an "Artistic Standpoint" they look good and are well made but just isn't MY cup of tea. Armor bugs my brain in this game and a lot of the design choices boggle my mind on why they chose to do this and that but that's not to say someone else may like it. Which is why I asked for more Symmetrical gear and as well keep making Asymmetrical gear for those that like it as I feel the Asymmetrical side vastly envelops the game more.

Add the static discharge effect to Geomags permanently as cosmetic only

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 11:40 AM PDT

Since the topping off perk is being removed from the legs, that presumably means the static effect that triggers when topping off active will be gone by association. Add that effect to the boots permanently as a cosmetic feature so it's not lost forever.

Plug One.1 can literally become Loaded Question in season 15

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 02:40 PM PDT

Slap 1 or 2 of the new Holster mods with a resivour burst plug one and it gets auto loading holster like loaded question, then you can pair it with bottomless grief for the instant reload after getting a kill as the last living member of your fireteam...

Edit: Bottomless Grief is just a suggestion, because if you were using Plug One.1 as a Loaded Question , you wouldn't need the feeding frenzy for reload buff as you get auto-loading holster.

I just hope it is almost the same as auto-loading holster perk

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 12:21 PM PDT

Instead of reloading a full mag and emptying it to get to the end, or depending on extremely rare HIR/Slideshot pairings, you will now be able to let a Holster mod partially reload a weapon passively and swap to it while High Impact Reserves is active.

Trustee 4 taps, fusion rifle damage boosts, Palindrome 2h1b, adaptive pulse 2 bursts, etc etc, all just got a lot more consistent. We will have active, deliberate control over the perk and be able to play around it in a way that simply wasn't possible before.

With nerfs incoming to Anarchy and Warmind Cells, and with Breach and Clear and (to a lesser extent) Warmind's Decree going the way of the dodo, I'd warmly recommend to anyone who's been on the fence to go for that Solo Flawless Prophecy run. It's likely easier now than it will be next season.

Charge up Devour, load your Witherhoard, and get in there Guardian! Best of luck :)

    All speculation here.

I think sagira isn't dead. If you think about it the only reason we think sagira is dead is because osiris told us but now that we think osiris is savathun chances are she was kidnapped by savathun just like osiris..

I assume that when osiris fought sivu arath was when they both got kidnapped by savathun.

Basically that story of how the high celebrant of xivu arath killed sagira is made up so we don't question why fake osiris doesn't have his ghost

    Make Perfect Paradox an Exotic

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 05:19 PM PDT

Alright, I'm sure this has been a whole conversation already since sunsetting came into place a few seasons ago, but after seeing this week's cutscene with Saint using his legendary shotgun I gotta bring it up again.

Perfect Paradox has always had the makings of an exotic weapon in my mind. It's from an important character in the game, it's in several cutscenes, and most importantly it has pretty important/unique lore.

As for it's Exotic perks, I think it should have a combination of Rewind Rounds and Rampage. Essentially: "Saint's Crusade: Kills with Perfect Paradox increases damage, and multikills reload the magazine from reserves." I think that kind of perk works to make the weapon a great potential ad clear gun along with scavengers and finder mods. Maybe even as an alternative to having the mods, the Catalyst perk could be: "Getting a kill with the final round in the magazine has a chance of spawning special ammo."

What do you guys think? Should it become an Exotic Weapon? If so, what do you think a good perk/perks could be for it?
