Managed to collect 10 different engrams

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 09:17 AM PDT

I would've had this a ton sooner if I kept one of those melted candle Halloween engrams.

    https://imgur.com/a/iZa9MD9

Edit: Here's a list from left to right.

Rare, Prime, Ives, Winterdrift, Etched, Crimson, Notorious, Jubilant, Best of Year One and Nostalgic.

Edit2: There's a guy who has almost 30 eververse engrams, including the 4 or 5 I'm missing. Give him some love 🤙

[Spoiler] Open Letter To The Thief Amongst Us

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 07:19 AM PDT

    Dear Lord Shaxx,

For two years, I have waited patiently for you to do the right thing and return my property, Raze-Lighter. That's right, I remember our expulsion from the Tower, when the Red Legion attacked. I remember when you opened the door to your armory for me as I went to go check on Zavala and Ikora. And I remember what you had on your back, sneak-thief.

Where is my sword? Where is my flaming sword?! I don't know how you got it out of my vault. I don't know why you took it instead of giving it to me so I could use it when confronting Ghaul, but enough is enough. I want it back.

I don't want to hear your excuses. I don't want to hear that you lost it. In the ensuing battle and confusion when the Red Legion attacked, you were able to take your ridiculous Ahamkara skull with you, as you escaped, so you could hang it back up in the new Tower. I know you didn't lose my sword. It was strapped to your back! Did you lose that too?!

I don't care if you are some old war hero. I don't care if you once boned the Queen of the Reef, or that no one can remove your ugly, asymmetrical helmet. That sword belongs to me, THE Guardian, Slayer of Oryx.

I don't remember seeing you there, with me, on the Dreadnought, as I struck down Oryx. I don't remember you purifying the remains of Willbreaker, Sword of Oryx, to act as the core to a fantastic new weapon. I don't remember you running around in circles on the Dreadnought, with me, for DAYS trying to scrounge up enough Hadium flakes to serve as a suitable blade. I don't remember you helping me to sneak in and kill Ecthar, the Sword of Oryx, or assisting my fireteam in deducing how to kill Alakhul, the Dark Blade, and his giant Warden Knights simultaneously to seal the blade's power. No, you were here, in the Tower, eating ramen and watching other Guardians make no-scope sniper montages while pub-stomping blueberries.

I want my sword…. Oh, you think I should be happy with the Steel Sybil Z-14s you have been handing out like candy to any blueberry off the street who hops into the Crucible? That sword is a piece of JUNK. Literally, Banshee-44 told me he has been building them for you out of scrap from Amanda's junkyard. I don't care if you think the spike hilt guard, you asked Banshee to add, is cool. It is a bunch of scrap metal duct taped to a handle and then sharpened. I want my meticulously hand-crafted, God-Slaying, FLAMING SWORD BACK!!!

I talked to your ghost already. He is tired of you spending hours in front of a mirror, with the sword, cosplaying as me. He is tired of you moping about "the glory days" and bragging about how you "could have been the GodSlayer, but someone had to officiate the Crucible".

Here is my final offer. You return my sword, or I go back to the Moon, find the specter of Cayde-6 and ensure he haunts you, personally, for the rest of your days.

    Yours always,

    Guardian

Seriously though, Bungie, please give us back cool flaming swords again. I want the sleek and majestic designs of the D1 exotic swords to return to D2. Glowing, flaming bits and all. I want an excuse to put on a sword in the Tower, just so other Guardians can see how awesome it looks. Please Bungie. Give our swords back their swagger.

Edit: Oh... Ok... Wow... This ended up on the front page... I did not expect that to be how my morning went. Thanks everyone who liked this, and everyone who helps to make being on this subreddit a joy.

Edit2: Fixing some diction and capitalization issues. Thanks everyone who commented on or upvoted this post. You made my day.

Bungie plz: So we now have universal ornaments. Can we add raid armor to be also one of those, so we can show our endgame achievments without destroying perfectly rolled build?

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 04:41 AM PDT

    Title.

Edit: Holy moly, first page. Thank you guardians!!! Didn't think it will be received well that widely :D

Edit 2: thank you for Silver, kind stranger!! Really appreciate it!! :) Maybe Bungie will hear us :)

Edit 3: Also for Golds!!! We're gonna do this ;)

Edit 4: Big thanks to everyone for letting this be widely known thing!!! I hope that guys at Bungie will realize that implementing full blown transmog system won't change Eververse income that much so we can have proper Dresstiny ;)

I would gladly sacrifice 50% of my super for a Finisher that does AOE damage to enemies around me.

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 06:12 AM PDT

There's been a number of instances where there's multiple enemies around me while I'm executing a Finisher, and it would be awesome if executing the Finisher did AoE damage on the other enemies that are around me. It would be cool to eviscerate a group of red bar adds with something like that. If I'm sacrificing a chunk of my super, it should have a benefit like this as a trade off, right?

    A sort of... STOMP attack...maybe?

This DLC has made me realize I want way more story and slightly less grind

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 06:58 AM PDT

Destiny's lore is so incredibly good. The amount of thought that had to go into the entire back story up until the current point of where we are at is on the level of the biggest movie franchises and we should applaud Bungie for that alone. But we barely scratch the surface in game...we literally came face to face with the darkness and just black screened, and then spawned at Eris as if nothing happened...the more cutscenes I watch and the more story we play through, the more RPG I want Destiny to become.

I love looter shooters but this is just too amazing to keep cutting short and diverting assets to other parts of the game. The grind for weapons this time around has been mild which is nice and I think the grindy parts should be saved for what they are now calling pinnacle gear all around (That word used to be reserved for the top guns of each vendor for each season, it seems they are now using the word for simply the most powerful gear hence the 100k nightfall challenge earns you "Pinnacle" gear instead of powerful tier 1 or 2).

Hopefully the raid will be story driven as well as challenging like Last Wish because those story mission were just a tad too short. Maybe another fully-fleshed cutscene to really set up for the next season dlc or another two mission that have been rumored to come after the raid. All I know is that this game is in a great state right now and I hope to see more of the amazing world they created explored in game.

Whoever gave me plat for just speaking my mind on a post I thought was going to get downvoted into the ground...thank you you crazy bastard!

    Yo Bungo, I like Shadowkeep.

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 07:34 AM PDT

Keep up the good work. I'll be playing for a while to come.

Edit: In all seriousness, I really think Bungie tried to manage our expectations prior to release of SK. They were more open and honest about anything than before. Those who were expecting more will be disappointed, simply for that reason. You expected too much. Curtail your thoughts, be more realistic.

Reminder: Tomorrow we get the first waves of the Vex Offenders...

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 11:23 AM PDT

After it gets going, we'll be able to revisit the area for Repeat Vex Offenders.

But I'll probably wait until Reddit puts together a list of whats what, so I can just focus on the Registered Vex Offenders.

Jötunn and Le Monarque were RNG-based exotics. With Shadowkeep, they're now Quest-based. Can we do the same for past Raid exotics?

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 06:29 AM PDT

It feels bad having ran 70+ Scourge of the Past runs without the Sparrow or Anarchy dropping. The amount of hours I've spent trying to get those exotics adds up to multiple days worth of time. I feel like my time and dedication are not being respected, especially because there's no way to make any meaningful progress towards getting those exotics. I've given up at this point, same with thousands of other players who've had similar luck with Lash Wish.

Also, past raids no longer reward powerful gear. The incentives to play old raids every week are now nonexistent, along with a dwindling community of players willing to form a team. Since Jötunn and Le Monarque are exotic weapons and actually serve a purpose in the game, could we extend raid-based exotic quests to Lash Wish and Scourge of the Past exotics? Please help this Sparrow Racing League Racer get the Sparrow of his dreams.

    Ideas:

    Anarchy #1:

    • Obtainable from Ada-1 upon:
    • Completing the 'Like a Diamond' Flawless Raid Triumph
    • 1,000 kills with a Grenade Launcher in the 'Scourge of the Past' Raid

    Anarchy #2:

    • Obtainable from Ada-1 upon:
    • Completing the 'Like a Diamond' Flawless Raid Triumph
    • Completing the 'Scourge of the Past' raid 9 times. Not retroactive.

    Anarchy #3:

    • Now RNG-protected.
    • Obtainable from the final chest at the end of the 'Scourge of the Past' raid.

    • Guaranteed after the 9th chest opening.

    Sparrow #1:

    • Obtainable from Ada-1 upon:
    • Completing the 'Fast and Unwieldy' Flawless Sparrow Triumph
    • Open the secret chest at the end of the Sparrow encounter.

    Sparrow #2:

    • Now RNG-protected.
    • Obtainable from the secret chest at the end of the Sparrow encounter.

    • Guaranteed after the 9th chest opening.

    Kell's Scourge Buff:

    • New consumable obtainable from Ada-1. Consuming the material will greatly increase the chances of raid-specific exotic drops in the 'Scourge of the Past' raid. Consumable does not stack.

EDIT: These RNG exotics have been a scourge to my past raid experiences. My last wish is for Bungie to supplement/exchange these RNG exotics for a Quest-based version.

To the guy who managed to obtain 10 different engrams, I RAISE YOU THIS:

Jötunn, Sealed Ahamkara Grasps, Peregrine Greaves are disabled for the first 24 hours of the raid launch.

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 01:11 PM PDT

Zavala hate needs to stop, and hopefully this post will explain why.

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 03:10 AM PDT

Zavala is a controversial character, some view him as a coward and a weakling in the face of his friend being murdered, some view him as too slow to act, and being too reactive and not proactive enough. Others view him as the realistic reaction to threats as they happen.

Caydes death was tragic and hurt him greatly. But a full blown assault on the reef with our full number?! Are you insane?

The Reef belongs to the Awoken, and a Vanguard approved assassination of their Prince, justified or not, is an act of war. Caydes death does not instantly mean that hundreds or thousands have to die in war.

Did he want Uldren to taste a bullet? Of course he did!

Did he want thousands of others to share that fate? Of course he didn't.

Politically, the situation with Uldren was a nightmare. Ikora was right in wanting his head on a spike, but Zavala was right because the chance for Uldren's death to spark a war between the City and the Awoken was too great.

Of course, we now know more. The Awoken probably wouldn't have cared. He caused their current situation. But Zavala didn't know that. He made the best choice for Humanity at large, and was able to rise above his feelings to make the best call.

Now look. Zavala ordering a full scale assault on the Moon because its haunted as fuck?

Are these the actions of man unwilling to act? To wage war when it has to happen?

    No they are not.

He is acting in the best interests of the City, always. Attacking the Moon and dealing with the threat is the best course of action, he knew that, and acted on it.

He knew Valus Ta'aurc would have been a massive threat, so ordered his assassination.

Sepiks Prime? Knew it was going to be an issue later down the road, better to cut the head off the snake. Ordered an assassination.

Taniks Perfected? Came back with a vengeance. Nah mate. Fuck that noise. Ordered an assassination.

Rasputin in trouble because of a Giant Shank? Dangerous because Ras isn't friendly, but worth the risk to defend. Get in there Guardian.

Speaking of Ras, why would Zavala have any reason to trust the Warmind? After all, every time we tried to make contact with it, bits of Guardian were found scattered all across the Cosmodrome. Hardly the actions of something on our side. He was absolutely right to distrust it.

Hating the Titan Vanguard needs to stop.

He's the wall. The one made of stone. A beacon of order in this madness.

More Zavala love please. You do not become Titan Vanguard by accident, and you definitely don't become the Vanguard Commander by accident.

    Kindeguardian Question

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 05:31 PM PDT

So. I started playing one of the leviathan raids and I was solo. Got to a large open area where I had to bring "keys" to a certain area (a chalice key, a lion, and can't remember the other one).

I got the chalice to it's spot (finally) only to have it reset — is this impossible solo?

Welcome new players! Here are some unwritten rules or truths of our community and game to get you up to speed

    Posted: 03 Oct 2019 11:53 PM PDT

    WELCOME GUARDIANS!

I am honestly so glad to see so many of you join the ranks of other fellow Guardians, so let me just say, welcome to the Destiny community!

Destiny's community is very unique and unlike any other community I've ever seen or been a part of, so it is no surprise that we have our own set of unwritten rules, code of conduct, and general terms. I took the time over the weekend to compile some suggestions, used terms and stuff that you would find helpful.

    Let's start!

First, following are some unwritten rules, general code of conduct, and some tips:

    • Guardians may be the best killers in the galaxy but they're even better dancers. Remember - if you see anyone dance, whether it is in the Crucible, in the tower, in a strike or whatever - lay down your arms and shake what the traveller gave you!
    • Always try your best to activate heroic Public Event: what does it mean? Every public event has "secret triggers" (a set of actions) that advance it to heroic mode. This means more XP and sometimes even better loot for everyone involved! You can read all about these secret triggers here.
    • Whenever there is an Iron Banner and you find Lord Saladin in the tower, please unequip your Outbreak Perfected (if you have it) before you go to see him. Seriously, he has been through enough. [Lore Video, as a lot of you wanted content for this]
    • Always activate Tier 3 in the Blind Well unless you are alone.
    • Dip dip potato chip: every community has its fair share of salty members - you'll realise that especially in the Crucible. If it so happens that you were killed and tbagged (I know Bungie technically invented it with Halo but we do not do that here… most of the times), chances are if it was a Hunter, they might have been trying to unsuccessfully dodge. Maybe, maybe not. If it was a Titan or Warlock though - get back in the fight Guardian and avenge your honour! Also veterans - not cool, man! Don't bag below 4000 Glory!
    • Kinderguardian: it was used to describe younger Destiny players however it has evolved since then and it is now used to refer to players who are new to the game. You are one! Wear it with pride.
    • Dad Build: These are common combinations are armor and weapons that perform well and are easily achievable.
    • Let's talk about classes and what they mean:
      • Titan: you're a lean, mean punching machine. Titans never back down from a fight. You come from a long tradition of valour and bravery - remember the title symbol, the Battle of the Six-Front, wear it with pride. You are the shield behind which the city stands… also, you'll constantly be told how you're most prone to doing stupid things. (Titan main, ayooo)
      • Hunter: you're fast, swift, and almost everyone hates you in the Crucible. But don't let that keep you from using St0mp-EE5 rocking a shotgun. You paid for the game damn it! (Note: I clearly offended a lot of Hunters with this comment and I humbly apologise lmao I admit Titans are worse as far as PvP goes right now and for the last few seasons. My opinion is obviously biased as I still have PTSD from Graviton/Wormhusk)
      • Warlock: You're a scholar and a true warrior, you harness the energies that surround you and use your wisdom to channel it against your force and to safeguard your allies. Just kidding - you're a fckn space wizard, Harry.
    • If you ever find yourself in the Exotic Quest "Zero Hour," there will come a place where you'll be chased by a mechanical monolithic comb. His name's Trevor. Be nice to him even if he isn't nice back… like, ever.
    • If you need an item from the vault or postmaster, have multiple characters and want to transfer gear between them - save time and use the Destiny 2 Companion app or one of the many 3rd Party Applications. My personal recommendation.
    • TWAB: stands for This Week at Bungie - a weekly publication released on Bungie.net that focuses on the community and talks about the game - what's to come, what will change. Always well written and worth a read by our lovely team at Bungie!
    • Gjallarhorn: it is said, that the longer a conversation in a raid goes, the more likely someone is to mention this fabled weapon from Destiny 1.
    • The Architects: are fucking bullshit, man. Trust me, you'll know soon.
    • If you're free roaming and see someone emoting twice in your feed, that person probably wants to show you something, go to them. (Thanks, u/ChuckVB)
    • Xur's will is not his own. He comes at a "secret" location every Friday (for the weekend) and sells exotics for legnedary shards. You can find details for this week here.

There may come a time when you want to use LFG (the Fireteams section on the Destiny 2 Companion App). The LFG experience varies for everyone - as someone whose native language isn't English, I've had a few bad experiences because well - welcome to the world, not everyone's nice BUT remember - toxic people are surprisingly a vastly overstated minority, in my experience. I've honestly met so many great people I regularly play with now thanks to LFG, and still join random teams because it is just fun. Never be too shy to use LFG - heck, make your own Fireteam, so that you have control and decide what activity you want to do or need help in. This is also great for finding Sherpas. Which bring me to my next point, common LFG terms:

    • Sherpa: someone who is well experienced in a certain mode and is willing to teach you how a certain activity is to be done.
    • Sherpa Run: this is a run where someone is probably helping his friends out. You'll see this mostly in raids.
    • Fresh Run or simply Fresh: said mission or activity will be done from the very start (and ideally to the end).
    • CP: shorthand for checkpoint. The activity you are joining is already done up till a certain point.
    • Blind run: no guides, no experienced players - this is a mission of discovery and extreme frustration. However, jokes aside, they can be extremely fun with the right people!
    • KWTD: shorthand for Know What to Do - basically, as it implies, it means you already know the mechanics of the activity and don't need an explanation. Doesn't necessarily mean you need to have cleared it, just as long as you have an actual and clear understanding of the activity.
    • x clears: x denotes any number - this means they require at least x clears for you to join their team. Some people have limited time and want to get some stuff done fast so no worries. If you don't have that many clears, find another team or make your own fireteams!
    • No Mic: as it implies, you'll play without a microphone. You don't have to but it usually means communications among players shouldn't be expected.
    • DM for NF: don't lmao just don't. (Not trying to bash on anyone who offers the service, but I personally wouldn't recommend it. It means that you want to share your account details with some godly player so they can do an activity for you for a certain price).

WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON (A quick roadmap and guide of sorts with resources for returning and F2P Players)

First of all, this game is all about the loot - there are many facets to it, like addictive gameplay and stellar story writing (I am talking about the lore here, I'll include some stuff related to that down below) but one thing holds true for everyone - we all love loot, and that's what you'll spend most of your time chasing, after you're done with the campaigns.

Every activity has its own specific loot - there's stuff you get from raids (Leviathan Guide, Eater of Worlds Guide, Spire of Stars Guide), there's stuff from PvP, from the Forges and so on. There are also various Exotics tied to quests, you should consider doing those as well.

    Let's Get Started (New Light/F2P)

After you're done with the first mission you are taken to the tower - this is the social hub for the game. This is where - technically - you can do what you want but I would suggest you try doing the series of intro quests the game gives you. These are market by "Main Quest" and "Introduction". This is Bungie's attempt at taking you through the whole game modes and the general play style of the game. I've noticed there's a lot to read - each vendor gets an explanation but sadly, it may be too much information in too little time Below are vendors available in the tower and what they do:

    1. Zavala: He's the Titan vanguard - he is basically everything related to strikes and nightfalls. Always take his bounties before going to a strike or a nightfall. Some of his bounties can be done anywhere.
    2. Lord Shaxx: Should be called ShaXXL because you know ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) He is basically for the Crucible (PvP) what Zavala is for PvE (Strikes, Nightfalls). Again, take his bounties before going to the crucible!
    3. Master Rahool: Decryptor of Engrams and Destroyer of Shaders
    4. Banshee: He's mostly helpful with world-drop weapons, very useful mods, upgrade materials, and some of the most important bounties out there. Be sure to do these!
    5. Kadi 55-30: All that you don't pick up - ends up here. Pro tip: if you're grinding a certain planet for whatever, the stuff that drops on whatever planet you are on IS NOT SENT TO HER unless you go to orbit. (Also, can someone confirm if the last part is still true? I know it used to be.)
    6. Tess Everis: "Always good to see you, Guardian." SENTIMENT IS NOT MUTUAL. This is the cosmetics store that badly needs new dialogues.
    7. Amanda Holliday: Quests and Legacy Campaigns
    8. Ikora Rey: As far as I can tell, you need to go to her for Quests and awards. Also a key character in the vanguard.
    9. Hawthorne: Clan vendor - you can get 4 bonus drops from her if you clan does the activities listed on the clan tab.
    10. Drifter: Rogue Lightbearer. Badass. Also vendor for the PvEvP mode called Gambit and Gambit Prime.
    11. Ada-1: Total cutie and vendor of the Black Armory. Some real solid weapons from her. Also exotic quests.
    12. Werner 99-40: Vendor for the Menagerie (again, great loot and amazing game mode).

These quests will teach you about how power level, bounties, XP, and most of the mechanics of the game work.

Afterwards, it is ideal to go through the many activities to gain XP - play the campaigns that are open to you, do public events, lost sectors, strikes, crucible, and so on. Initially, only Earth will be unlocked - to unlock other planets you need to reach its XP requirement. They unlock in the same order as the Destiny 2: Red War campaign (this is also know as the base game).

How do I play the Year 1 campaigns?

In order to start said campaign, visit Amanda Holiday in the Tower. She is located on the far right side when you open the map. Go talk to her and these three campaigns (Red War, Curse of Osiris, and Warmind) will be available under Legacy Content at the top. Now, fair warning - these may not be the best campaigns as veterans can tell you - however, they are mostly enjoyable and a great way to experience it. It will definitely give you enough simple content to digest so that you become more familiar with the game itself.

I've played the campaigns, what now? This is where the fun begins - welcome to the Endgame. Each week, there are challenges (these used to be called milestones), all of these challenge give you powerful gear - this means gear that is above your light level. This will only show up after you have reached 900 light, which shouldn't be that difficult assuming you've done the campaigns and other activities.

Why is "powerful gear" important? I was already getting drop higher than my current light level when I was under 900. The reason is 900 is the "soft cap." This means most of the world drops that were dropping for you at what was a higher level then will now be capped at your max base light (minus the light bonus you received from the artefact which is unlocked from the "seasons" tab of the game. This artefact grants you one bonus light level for each level up of said artefact). Now you need to do activities that are most rewards. These will be highlighted as challenges on the Destinations tab in the director.

At this point I would also recommend you play the three raids (guides linked earlier). You can get started earlier if you like but it would be best to go in there with good weapons. It'll be a great experience, hopefully!

Loot - precious loot. Most activities have their own unique loot - go to the collections tab in the menu to inspect items you may want to get. The "source" for these weapons is mostly mentioned there. This will give you a good idea as to what you can chase.

Here's all the stuff you can do for free in the game right now.

[[Note: I am currently going through the "purchased all but new player" options right now - I will update this post soon. Made a new account and checking it out just so I can have better insight on the matter haha]]

Please let me know if I have missed anything, I'll edit the post and add it there. Back to action, hotshot. Be notorious!

    Edits:

    Spelling and grammar.

Added New Light guide (please give feedback and pointers, I would love to add it here. Also if I got anything wrong - which I definitely did, please point it out.)

I am honestly as shocked as I am immensely pleased by the reaction my post got - from the very core of my heart - thank you! Thank you for the platinum, silver, and gold - none of it was necessary and you guys are way too kind! Thank you for the suggestion, upvotes, and informative comments! I love this community, you guys rock! I originally intended this to be more of an introduction to the lovely "culture" of this community along with some useful common phrases but a lot of you have similar questions and I've tried my best to answer them.

Since I am not too well aware of how New Light actually works - I've tried to give the best understanding possible from various resources and past experiences. I really hope you guys find this useful - PLEASE feel free to correct me if I got anything wrong. I would appreciate it greatly. Also, I am very pleased to see all of you responding to questions in the comments - let's keep that up. I may not be able to answer everything - but, dammit, I will try!

We should be able to run non-powerful raids as many times as we want in a week

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 06:49 AM PDT

Seeing as only year 3 raids drop powerful loot, we should be able to run year 1 and year 2 raids as many times as we want in a week. With the current system, it could take months to get the "perfect roll" on a set.

The chance to get masterworked or exotic weapons could still be limited to the first run each week, possibly the cosmetics if needed.

Can the Halo Grunt birthday party be implemented as a finisher?

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 05:17 AM PDT

Guardian takes aim, pulls the trigger, and a shower of confetti with the "yaaayyyy" sound effect emerges from the enemy corpse.

Maybe call it birthday suprise or something?

    This would complete me.

You can easily solo farm for the Edgewise using the old Nightfall Playlist

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 11:46 AM PDT

Since the old nightfall playlist doesn't have matchmaking, you can just load up a nightfall that has access to Public Event areas to grind out the new Vanguard Machine Gun. All progress made in public instances count towards completion and you can refill your MG ammo at Public Event flags if you run out. After roughly 25 minutes of farming, I'm about 20% complete on all objectives. It's especially easy this week due to Lake of Shadows being available. Good luck guardians

Bungie should add a weather system to the tower

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 08:48 AM PDT

It would really add to the immersion and I feel that Bungie is capable of doing it since they've made events that change the scenery and added some particle effects to the tower in the past. It would be cool if the weather corresponded with seasons irl. Ex: During Summer and spring there would be rain, thunder storms, morning fog, and maybe some made up sci fi storms, during fall there would be overcasts, rain, and leaves blowing around, during winter there would be blizzards, etc. Visual changes to guardians during weather like wetness effects and snowy effects would be cool too. I think it would really make tower visits more interesting instead of it just being the same thing every time.

A long lost character has a voice actor now

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 06:34 PM PDT

On the imdb page for shadowkeep, there's a voice actor who apparently voices our favourite titan, Saint-14: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt10460150/fullcredits/cast?ref_=m_tt_cl_sc

We haven't heard of him since CoO, so let's hope this is gonna be good.

Edit: Reposted this to avoid spoiling people with the title

Bungie, I don't know who you're pleasing by making power ammo spawn In EVERY round of survival..

    Posted: 04 Oct 2019 02:20 AM PDT

But none of us would be pissed if you just removed it completely from competitive. Nobody says "we need more power ammo"

Power ammo should not be as proliferated as it is in a game mode where each life is as crucial as it is in survival.

It makes the entirety of the game revolve around who gets it because they require very little difficulty to secure kills.

Reducing players from 4v4 to 3v3 was a great change because it empowered individuals to have more of an impact to the outcome of the game, but having power ammo spawn like it does is so counterintuitive to the experience because most scenarios that require an individual to "step up" are scenarios where opponents already consolidate power ammo and map control, thereby nullifying the opportunity.

Either power ammo shouldn't spawn every round or it shouldnt be present in comp at all. Nobody would miss it.

Edit: Obligatory thanks for the gold. Glad to see a near unanimous opinion among us here. Hopefully this gets through.
