Bungie, please give Perfect Paradox the Khovstov treatment Posted: 02 Nov 2019 12:27 PM PDT I feel like this is an incredible weapon that ends up being stored in the vault due to how outdated it has become. With the new mod system a lot of early weapons have been left for dead. Perfect Paradox should not be left for dead, it is an iconic weapon with a deep lore history which is why I think it should be updated. I think that Perfect Paradox should be redone as either: 1) An exotic upgrade 2) Refreshed so we can apply mods to it, or even possibly have 1 of the perk slots roll randomly Personally I'd really like to see an exotic upgrade that would make this a PvE slaying machine when paired with Helm of Saint-14. I think the exotic perk should complement Starless Night, or just the helmet in general somehow. If we are sentinel Titans running HoS14 and Perfect Paradox, then I think we should get the feeling that we ARE Saint-14. Anyone else with similar ideas I'd like to hear your thoughts. I thought it was one of the best parts of CoO campaign and a really awesome storyline. Edit: I said PvP slaying machine and I meant PvE slaying machine. Perhaps we can mark certain events in that calender and only those events -when they come up- are splashed on our login screen, as a sort of personalized notification. (Here's the optional ranty bit: A year ago, those splash screens were used few and far between and were kinda special to me since they always entailed something big. I stopped and read them every time back then because they were rare. Now they have become a bit mundane/ordinary imo. Most of the messages too are like "Next week, the Vex Offensive _continues._" I 'd rather have Bungie use them a bit more sparingly. Or use em only for MAJOR events and have that in-game calender I talked about for all the tidbitty stuff. (it might take a while to load) For a while now I've been collecting some concept art and in games renders for wallpapers purposes, and I ended up with around 600 differents artworks and screenshots from Bungie all in quite good quality. I primarily focused on art from the worlds and left the weapons concepts behind. There are a few characters concept as well. I believe I found all of the artworks available online, but there are more in-game renders out there that didn't make the cut. I've found these mainly on Artstation from the accounts of the many artists ( Darren Bacon, Adrian Majkrzak, Dorje Bellbrook, Jesse van Djik, Allan Lee to name a few) from Bungie, High Moon Studio, Blur... You can Celestial Nighthawk into your own Divinity bubble for massively increased damage. Posted: 02 Nov 2019 09:00 AM PDT The divinity bubble persists for like 2 seconds after you stop painting your target with divinity. This allows you to buff your own one off supers, this should work with any nova bomb and thundercrash as well but I did my testing with a celestial nighthawk shot. Against the simulated minotaur in the tribute hall, a normal crit unbuffed did roughly 180k damage, while a divinity buffed celestial nighthawk did roughly 270k. That's a one person setup to get 50% more damage out of the most powerful attack in the entire game. All you have to do is keep your divinity on your target till you see the bubble (around a second) then pop your super and just hipfire goldy into them, the window for this is very tight but its easy to pull off. It brings out the best and the worst of us. The mix of emotions in this game mode is excellent and I love. So what I get body shot my a sniper, or constantly tapped by a jade rabbit or one hit by a melee. We as a community need this type of game mode so PVP doesn't get stale. P.S Bungie if you are reading this can you please please please please give us the stats on how many jade rabbit kills there has been over this period of possibly the best game we've had. Posted: 02 Nov 2019 06:22 PM PDT After messing around with the gun for the past few days, I've personally come to the conclusion that a higher ammo capacity would suit this weapon well, more so than a damage increase. A mag size of 20 or more would allow it to be used in more long-term situations, do more boss damage before reloading, and avoid the slippery slope of buffing raw damage numbers - especially considering its explosive damage. As it stands, 13 rounds is awkwardly too low to actually do anything useful. I think this should be the first thing Bungie tries to improve the weapon. Since I've recently gotten hooked on this game, and since the community here on Reddit is quite substantial, I've decided to poll players for the number of Legendary Shards they have right now. But it's really lame that my hunter just flying Belgian kicks an ogre every time, if a 'random' option was added, your character would rotate between all your owned finishers. Once you use the toothbrush you get from Eris at the end of the Halloween quest line, you get the used toothbrush. Posted: 02 Nov 2019 01:01 PM PDT Anti-Barrier Wish-Ender-"Piercing arrowhead that damages the target on entry and exit. One shot can overpenetrate multiple targets." it should eat barriers too. Arbalest-the whole point of the gun is to be a kinetic weapon that rips shields. Why not have it rip the big red ones that make things invincible too? Sleeper Simulant-"The weapon's laser overpenetrates enemies..." that's pretty obvious that it should be anti-barrier. Hard Light-rounds penetrate targets, why not penetrate shields too? Skyburner's Oath-it already pierces phalanx shields, why not have it pierce big boy barriers at the same time? Thorn-"rounds pierce targets and deal damage over time." Should also pierce barriers. Overload Sweet Business-with how many bullets this thing has, it should have another perk that has it spit out 2 or 3 overload shots per mag. Le Monarque-i just like this weapon and would like it to be helpful bungo pleas Queenbreaker-it has no use right now. This could be one reason to use it. It blinds whatever you hit with it so overload makes sense. Unstoppable Sturm-i don't know. I'm looking at all the exotics and I don't think I've ever used it before. Maybe make it useful lol Borealis-snipers in general really should just be unstoppable or anti-barrier. Snipers need some love Whisper of the Worm-see Borealis Xenophage-I don't own the gun yet, but from what I know, it shoots big chunky bullets. Let it stun the chunky boys with them. D.A.R.C.I.-see Whisper Tractor Cannon-the gun weakens enemies. Why not make it stun the big boys too? If you're able to charge an unstoppable ogre with this thing and live long enough to hit it, you should be rewarded lmao Honorable mentions for things that go into too much detail/I haven't thought through enough to happen: Outbreak Perfected/Overload-when you shoot an enemy enough that nanites start stacking, the first time they come out and hit the enemy, that hits them with the overload. Izanagi's Burden/Unstoppable-only works with Honed Edge x4 shots. Riskrunner/Overload-only works when Arc Conductor is active Legend of Acrius/Unstoppable-same reasoning as Tractor Cannon, minus the weakens enemies part Malfeasance/Unstoppable-once you shoot something 5 times and the bullets start exploding, that should stun them ig Lord of Wolves/Unstoppable-only with when Release the Wolves is active Trinity Ghoul/Overload-only active when Lightning Rod has been proc'd Thunderlord/Overload-"Continuous damage generates lightning strikes." Same thing as I said for outbreak (see below). Have the lightning strikes stun the overloads, if they live long enough to get hit by them. Posted: 02 Nov 2019 12:48 PM PDT It all started with Phoenix Protocol. I got the exotic and that was the end of the game as I knew it. Every encounter, a well. Every raid, well. Even in strikes, I used well when it wasn't solar singe... I'm sorry teammates. It was simpler then, a casual intrest in buffing teammates. And then Bad Juju returned. I lost all semblance of reality and deleted my other exotics. I went mad when people told me "put on lunas for the reload" because what about my super energy? And now we have intellect back. Naturally I went for an intellect build and have since achieved 100 intellect. My super is always charged. I have placed 5 wells at a given time in Altars of Sorrow. They say the first step to healing is to admit that it's a problem. So here it is... my admission. Don't do what i've done warlocks. Its not worth it to see the super bar instantly climb up. It leaves you wanting when there are not enough adds. Please do be cautious with your builds. They are dangerously powerful to both the enemies and your own psyche. Then I'd have to Google for how to get there because I'm old and my brain doesn't remember. I knew I saw it, I knew I'd been there, but couldn't for the life of me remember how to get there. Add in the "quests" from Iron Banner, any Year 1-2 Pinnacle quests, any Ritual Weapons/Shaders and the need to go claim ALL the available bounties planetside... and it fills up quickly. Why not pull the Synthesizer and Chalice out from "Quests" and put it back in the Inventory/Character screen next to the Artifact? The Artifact looks like it's not going to be used for anything else (aka, no back piling once the season ends), and it closes the problem with the blank space just under the heavy weapons slot and inventory.
