- Yesterday PvE had 1.2 million players and PvP had 960k. PvP draws nearly half of Destiny's players and yet Bungie has abandoned it in terms of incentives. This has to stop.
- Guarantee a Gift of Dust when a player opens a Nostalgic Engram.
- When I complete an exotic weapon catalyst, the gun should gain a mod slot. When I masterwork a piece of exotic armor, it should remove it's elemental affix. These are 2 acts that are time consuming and I feel like this would make exotics feel much better to equip.
- "Cannot reacquire randomized gear" is the biggest killjoy in this game
- Shadowkeep is 40% off for the weekend on steam
- Can we please never do another quest like Season 8: First Watch?

Posted: 16 Nov 2019 02:35 PM PST In terms of incentives pvp has essentially nothing. Games feel meaningless. This is a loot based game. Where is the loot? Rank ups should award cores and prisms. Perhaps each rank up could give one core and a couple pre set rank ups per reset could award a prism. For shards they could create a recurring quest. 100 PvP wins = ascendant shard. This will not only incentivise play but it will encourage people to actually try to win and play the objectives. As far as loot goes it is apparent that Bungie lacks the time and/or resources to create new loot. That's ok. luckily the game has tons of unused loot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJ9OCk4eJto The trials ornaments are arguably the nicest looking armour ever created in Destiny and they are completely unattainable at the moment. These ornaments could slot in as rewards for resetting your valor in PvP. Every 1 or 2 reset rewards you with an additional ornament piece. Arms, legs, class, chest, and finally helmet. The rest of the trials guns and armour should be updated and replace Shaxx's current lootpool. It is incredible that PvP is doing so well when it is offering nothing outside of the gameplay itself. Seriously one of the biggest killjoys in the game. there should obviously be a cost to doing so, say 10,000 glimmer or something, but not being able to get it at all is just utterly dumb. I'm sitting on 3 exotic heavy weapon because the grenade launchers I've been getting are just terrible. So I don't really have any heavy weapons I can use with my suros regime and I'm pretty annoyed.... Can we please never do another quest like Season 8: First Watch? Posted: 16 Nov 2019 11:41 AM PST This quest has made me just want to stop playing the game. I'm going for the Undying title so I guess it's my own fault, but my god, did you guys really have to put the longest most boring possible quest in the most boring gamemode with no progress from your fireteam and then give it literally zero reward? 450 void/grenade kills. 675 solar/melee kills. 900 arc/super kills. This isn't a grind. It's a chore. Video games should be fun, not boring to the point of quitting. I've switched from playing the actual strike to going to a lost sector and it's still almost as slow as before. The hardest part of the Undying title is going to be not killing myself before I finish this quest. [link] [comments] |

Bungie, Exotic Armor should have Exotic Armor Catalysts Posted: 16 Nov 2019 04:42 PM PST I know people been asking for a mod slot for exotic guns and armor (its a must) I agree But why stop there Bungie?isn't destiny supposed to be an evolving game?? I think it would be cool if they added catalysts to existing exotic armor. Giving more variety of game play on exotic armor and incorporate some incentive to nightfall's and pinnacle drops on world bosses. Having a armor catalyst brings more to the playing field giving the armor another Active bonus or activation to its active bonuses making them a Red Exotic icon other then a lets say armamentarium titan chest exotic,
with a armor catalyst can provide multiple stats granted a build that give this item other Active stat bonuses to its existing perks like:
just a ruff example of an idea that can be added to almost all of the exotic armor with different types of sets and maybe bungie can not hold back and make a truly great RPG type game they intended it to be [link] [comments] |

The servers really need to be improved for PVP Posted: 16 Nov 2019 12:37 PM PST Was in a comp game that would take me over 2000 and finally unlock the recluse for me on reset. Suddenly the red bar of death. Uh oh. Kicked. Warning from Shaxx and 50 glory and a 3 match streak down the toilet. Played some PVE for a bit in case it did it again, but everything was fine - cool let's go back in to comp. we're 3-1 up and it happens again. Now I'm locked out of playing it for 30 minutes and my score is decimated. What makes me really salty is that it's 100% not my end. One of my kids was next to me playing Fortnite on our other Xbox and the other in the same room playing Apex on his PC. Neither of them had any connection issues, lagging or anything. We have a 300 meg fibre line and it's not even coming close to using all of that. Sort it out Bungo. Don't penalise me for problems that categorically aren't at my end. [link] [comments] |
Remaster the year 1 red war armor sets for armor 2.0 Posted: 16 Nov 2019 10:48 AM PST When I say red war armor sets, I mean the armor from the first mission of the red war story. The destroyed armor before it got destroyed, that armor set. Ikora used to have her own tokens and heroic story missions, from which you could get the tokens. You would use them to open her own packages and get the revamped armor sets. I managed to get the full titan set back in year 1, and I'm sure tons of other people did too. And I'm also sure that tons of other people would really want this armor set brought back into year 3 as armor 2.0, or to just bring the armor itself back as ornaments. Whatever the case, it would give ikora something to do after this season, depending on how this season ends, and would allow for many people, old and new, to keep and appreciate these armor sets [link] [comments] |

LIMITED TIME - Xur is selling Way of a Thousand Cuts (Hunter) starter pack Posted: 16 Nov 2019 08:29 PM PST Xur is selling Prometheus Lens and Ophida Spathe this week (he's on IO somewhere with the big drill). That's a combo with the "Way of a thousand cuts" tree, basically giving you a spammable melee ability. You probably could literally just use that for add clear. Here's how it works: Ohpida Spathe gives you a second Knife charge (in this case it's Knife Trick). It charges seperately and simultaneously. Knife Trick sets targets on fire and if you kill targets that are on fire your Knife Trick recharges faster. Additionally, while enemies are burning your dodge ability recharges faster. If you use Gambler's Dodge near an enemy, your Knife Trick instantly recharges. Prometheus Lens sets enemies on fire, which charges your Dodge faster and on kill your Knife Trick. [link] [comments] |
Xenophage really needs more ammo. Posted: 16 Nov 2019 11:50 AM PST 50% buff is cool and all, but that doesn't solve the problem, its got a limited ammo supply for its use. It doesn't keep up with gls due to rof and damage values. 50-75 ammo max, would make this gun feel so much better for all kinds of use, even if you keep it from criting. Its an exotic, it should have strength over other weapons in its slot, not be weaker than legendaries. [link] [comments] |

So a shard should dismantle into 5 prisms, and a prism would dismantle into 5 cores. You might be asking why would someone even want to dismantle these items? Well if you're like me and all your armour pieces are masterworked all you need now are cores to masterwork those weapons. Currently I best way I can see in getting cores is 920 nightfalls which are simple enough. However, I think doing the higher difficulties and getting the better rewards should allow then to salvage those higher rewards and use them for other uses. Opinions? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 16 Nov 2019 07:31 PM PST Title sums it up: With the recent nerfs to Hand Cannon range, and both these weapons getting changed to 150 RPM, these two pinnacle hand cannons do not feel special at all anymore. I recently got Not Forgotten a week ago, and it really doesn't feel like the competitive grind to 5500 was worth it. I mean aside from bonus range, it performs just as well as Thorn or a well rolled Waking Vigil. Not to mention both Luna's and NF got absolutely shafted in PvE damage. At least revert the perk back to normal so people have some reason to get these weapons beyond collections sake. [link] [comments] |

He has been playing a total of 5 days in destiny total and as such knows almost nothing about endgame content. Our team that regularly runs raids decided to take him through a quick last wish run. All the while joking about how our drops would definitely be 1k. We finished the raid and without hesitation he chooses a top chest and gets it, his first raid in all of destiny. We completely lost it, the surprise we had was immeasurable. Then as a joke we right after decided to do SoTP. No joke this man got anarchy his second raid in all of destiny, and his first run of that raid. The worst part being that he had no clue these exotics even existed. We promptly made him an admin because of his RNG powers and I'm just hoping they rub off on me. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Nov 2019 03:43 AM PST This is my post on the shader icons if you have yet to see it Many of you have been angered over the years because of certain areas of an armor set not being affected by shaders. A few examples are the gold on the Revelry sets, the yellow of the Supremacy Sniper Rifle, and the ornamental stuff on the Eris weapons like the Arc Logic(The second image in this set shows the dyemask threshold. The black is non-dye-able area and the white is dye-able area). The reason for this is because there is a part in the item's textures called the "Dyemask Threshold", which basically governs what can and cannot be dyed in the shader system. This allows devs to be able to manually control the color, metalness, and gloss of the area without needing to worry what a shader is going to do to it after the fact. It is also used because of some technical limitations. An example of these limitations is the parts of our armor sets that have cloth physics. Our armors are split into roughly 30 pieces and each of these pieces can only be dyed one single color. Bungie gets around this by adding decals, which are basically separate objects that are overlayed onto the armor pieces like a sticker, and then the decals get a different color applied to them. Here is an example of a decal from the Hunter Optimacy Set. Note how the silver parts in the Optimacy set can be completely separated from the black base. Those silver parts are decals. Now that you understand what decals are, understand now that those decals cant be applied to armor pieces with cloth physics because the decal and the base cloth would flow in different directions because of the randomness of physics and they wont stick together. So the only feasible way to add different colors to a cloth physics object is by adding the color in themselves and making those added colors un-dye-able through the dyemask threshold. An example of this method can be seen here with the Substitutional Alloy set(Again, the second image shows the dyemask threshold. The black is non-dye-able area and the white is dye-able area). Another limitation that would require the dyemask threshold is the sheer time constraints in creating an armor set for a game with seasonal releases. Bungie Technical Art Lead, Veegie, talks about this a bit in this reddit post.
