    Nightfall - The Ordeal: The Pyramidion

    Modifiers:

    • Nightfall: The Ordeal: Adept
      • Martyr: Exploding units have more health.
    • Nightfall: The Ordeal: Hero
      • All previous modifiers
      • Champions: Overload: This mode contains Overload Champions, which cannot be stopped without an Overload mod.
      • Champions: Barrier: This mode contains Barrier Champions, which cannot be stopped without an Anti-Barrier mod.
      • Champions: Vex: This mode contains both Barrier and Overload Champions, which cannot be stopped without an Anti-Barrier or Overload mod, respectively.

      • Equipment Locked: You will not be able to change your equipment after this activity starts.

    Artifact needs to be 100% disable for Trials.

    Especially the artifact light levels. If they allow it people who can sit there and play 8 to 10 hours a day will be able to reach way higher power than the average player and have an unfair advantage.

    Edit- I've been seeing people recommend that trials power should just be capped to certain level so you can get up to that power anyway you want whether its through pinnacle drops or just doing XP farms. But it should have a cap to how high you can go.

    So now I won't know if I got beat because the other player is better then me? Or if his number beside his name is higher. Stupid. This isn't high stakes, this is who turns in the most bounties wins.

    Edit: for everyone saying this is how OG trials was, we didn't have the artifact that has endless power, light level was capped. If the artifact isn't in play then it's a different story

    This community really needs to stop holding Bungie responsible for self set expectations or expectations based off of data-mined information.

    Bungie does a lot of things right, and it also does a lot wrong. It's the nature of trying to appeal to hundreds of thousands of players.

    But right now this community keeps getting its hopes up at expectations they've 100% set themselves or because they've completely misinterpreted data-mined information.

    It's really not fair on Bungie and is detrimental to us as a community when trying to provide actual quality feedback as it gets lost in a sea of other posts.

    It also takes the impact away from things meant to be a surprise and that just makes Bungie's job of surprising us 100x harder.

    All bosses should strive to be headless, invincible Brakion

    While we discuss the changes to snipers and how to mix up boss encounters, I have a different solution. After messing up a Brakion one phase a few times, I realized that a headless invincible boss that charges you creates the most tense encounter in the game. So...

    If we can all one-phase bosses, why not have bosses absolutely lose their mind and change up the encounter in a punishing fashion if they get to say, 15% health within 30-40 seconds of their spawn? You could still one-phase if you're quick, but if you can't? Get ready to sweat.

    Savathun's Song is about to shatter into a million pieces before it can do it's first warp? Have it flip out and start spawning nightmare thralls and warp around the map at 3 second intervals. Zahn about to die before he can get to his first bubble? Spawn a couple of chartreuse turrets with Major enemy level health and equipped the Cabal Tank cannons while he switches to charging you with a mini-gun? Just a few ideas, but obviously those are just a few I was spit balling.

    Keep the encounters for players who would rather play the safer long game, but bake in a challenge for the players that try to cheese the encounter. Heck, I think it might be fun to even see enemies go into psycho mode because they realize who they're dealing with.

    Why is Cowbell emote so expense at 4000+ Brightdust? And why are prices in bright dust so inconsistent in Eververse?

    I can understand when an emote or exotic sits at 1200 bright dust or even 2000 bright dust is at least grindable. But 4000+ bright dust is too high to even grind for. As someone who sees Eververse as the only new content on a weekly basis, the price is too high for anyone who wants to collect. Even doing all three weekly bounties on all three characters doesn't get you the emote. Prices for bright dust need to be rethought to be more concise. Prices should be set at most at the weekly cap of 3600 bright dust available from 3 characters.

    I've got to admit, while I love that we're exploring expansive bits of the Destiny universe at the minute, it feels like its taking away from the arc we keep being made aware of and then expected to forget about for 6 months

    Like it'a obvious we're currently in Curse Of Osiris/Warmind 2.0. As to whether this was always intended or Bungie's way of righting the wrongs of those two releases, it means we end up revisiting old stuff while ignoring whats going on Right Now.

    The Darkness is not only on the Moon, but actually made contact with us. We've been inside their ship. And yet here we are on Mercury dicking about with time. The Darkness has always been levied as an existential threat that's going to consume everything and throw everything into chaos when it finally hits

    Except it has. Its here. And... nothing happened? Eris got emo for a bit, but we fixed that by finding trinkets. Ikora sank a solid 6 weeks into building a portal to kill a Vex we already killed once, but doesnt feel the need to dedicate time to work out the Darkness?

    This probably sounds like a story bitch, and it's not. I'm loving the stories we ARE getting. I mean, we finally met Saint-14! We're waged trans-dimensional warfare on the Vex. We're about to get a Rasputin DLC that might actually be what we wanted Warmind to be. It's all good. However I feel like part of the draw of The Darkness is that its been pitched as this unstoppable all consuming force that will stop at nothing to destroy all life, especially anything connected to the Light. And it's just kinda dormant. And the longer it stays there, literally a moon's jump away doing nothing, the more it cheapens the concept. They're clearly not that big a threat if we've got time to kill a Vex in every concievable timeline while The Darkness is napping next door.

    If 'Destiny's story' is segmented out on a wheel, we keep getting a laser pointer out and picking one. It's the main reason I feel like this is CoO/WM 2.0, because I feel like these strories were meant to be told before Shadowkeep. I just hope we get back to the here and now before it all feels like a distant memory.

    Edit - I'm loving some of these responses. It's added depth to plot points that I never considered. Also glad to see I'm not the only one somewhat frustrated with the level of fragmentation. The story will evolve as it always has, realistically we're not going to see any core progression til the fall and we all know it. So now i've had my whinge time to get back to appreciating whats here!

    The mars event was better because we could progress while actually playing the game. My issues with it were that we didn't have a big progress bar like we do right now and the fact that I felt it was a little restricted; would have liked to see more activities work towards the goal.

    This seasons event though is mind numbing and boring. The only saving grace of it is that you get showered with loot.

    I'd like the next community event to be more like what we had on Mars but on a wider scale; let more activities/different strikes count towards the progress but keep the community progress on the director.

    I think this would both solve the problem of being stuck with things like 49 intellect, just hitting those breakpoints enough to clean up the "oh-so close" stats, as well as letting general min-maxing take place without hours upon hours of grinding and sharding and grinding and so on.

    Plus it's supposed to be our guardian forging their armor to be better and stronger, makes sense for us to try and focus those stats we desire.

    (also make masterworking exotic armor cost less Jesus H. Christ 3 ascendant shards is way too much.)

    (also also let us masterwork equipment in general slowly by gaining experience while playing with it, like we could in D1, this would alleviate the grind a lot kthxbai)

    The title says enough. Especially with rumors that an old game mode that's extremely competitive is returning. I literally matched into a full game of people from Europe and Asia in Countdown today. (10AM PST) Even if it's because not many people are playing countdown I'd rather not even match people that far away in the first place. I've matched people from outside of the US in other game modes as well when it starts getting late, and that's just unacceptable to be honest.

    This new game mode rumored to be returning is gonna suck if I have to play against people who lag when I shoot them and are able to shoot me/ have their shots register before I even see them on my end.

    Edit (1): Changed some wording that might have come across with a different tone then intended.

    Also, I don't mind having a system where people get to choose longer loading times over faster loading times based off of matchmaking preferences. Let's say you do want region lock and SBMM, I feel the option to change that for yourself (Like in Halo Reach) should be available.

    Hey Bungie, you know how you're bringing back the og Trials armor? I would DEFINITELY not be mad if you did the same for ttk Iron Banner armor.

    Not unlike the Trials armor you're bringing back (great move btw), all three sets are super iconic. And they offer another great way to show off the you're dedicated to PVP. Pump up the armor's stat drops to 60+, which I hope is already being implemented for Trials, and I guarantee you'll have a healthy playerbase. That's good incentive. Especially if this upcoming balance pass you're talking about in the dev commentary is good.
