What's the point of the 0-100 stat system if investing 80 mobility is the same as 89?

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 09:10 AM PST

It just feels like it's complex for no reason, and we could easily get point-something (less than 1) seconds cooldown bonuses in the tiers 1-9.

Hot take: Give us back Crucible black screen and ditch tower batch loading. Visiting the tower quickly is more necessary.

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 11:56 AM PST

With all the things that have to be done at the tower- bounties, postmaster management, weekly reward claiming, prime engrams, bounties again, these frequent 5-8 minute load times are atrocious. Not for all players, but I would think most visit the tower way more often than loading up crucible matches.

And here's the thing. Before you tar and feather me know that YOU'RE NOT ACTUALLY STARTING CRUCIBLE MATCHES FASTER NOW. You get to watch your pretty ship longer instead of seeing a black screen. And for that the price is 5 min+ tower load times? Seems like a deal the spider would make us.

Edit- u/Cinobite made a post that talked more about specifically what was happening.

Hey bungie, the battlepass system is awesome. But can you let us reset it or give good rewards for going beyond 100?

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 01:30 PM PST

The more hardcore/consistent players need more rewards, and I think resetting the battle pass, OR giving big rewards every 25 levels after 100 would be cool. Like shards, dust or other things.

Hell. You could give us higher chances of season pass armour with 58+ stats every 10 levels after 100.

I collected all the notorious armor on all classes in all elements. Here are my thoughts on the armor system.

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 09:56 AM PST

    3 classes x 3 elements x 4 roles x 5 slots= 180 pieces of armor. 634 Tier 3 reckoning runs. I kept a spreadsheet to keep track of all the pieces I obtained.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ur3YQCgAvU7K8Gz2Wfsqa1SL9ZL-k5xCcxAO_jPDLn8/edit?usp=sharing

Here is proof of my poor bloated vault.

    https://imgur.com/a/dz641Bw

My only complaint about Reckoning is honestly just the other players. It's fast enough and can be made pretty efficient. The minotaurs on the bridge are obnoxious as hell though.

As for affinity: genuinely I think affinity is the worst thing to happen to armor in the game. Farming it has been a total bitch. It feels like Bungie is trying to stretch the grind out. I hit 172 pieces or so, and have the needed duplicates to change when the new season comes out. I don't understand why affinity was added. The distinction of mods into various elements seems arbitrary at best. I don't understand what make a sword Arc. And furthermore, is it really such a game breaking feature as having Hand Cannon Loader and Fusion Rifle Loader on the same pair of gloves? Is there a single mod combo in the game that could break the sandbox using the generic mods? Changing the affinity is a band aid fix on a broken arm. It circumvents a layer of RNG that shouldn't need to be circumvented and still hinders player expression.

Stat rolls are honestly a pointless grind, and that's a good thing in my opinion. Spending hours to shave 4 seconds of your grenade cooldown seems moot, and it should stay that way considering that most armor in the game has a awful total roll and no way of upgrading it.

The seasonal mod system is bad, but it wouldn't be hard to fix it. I will not be grinding another set of armor unless everything about the system is fixed. I've spent a ton of time grinding 180 pieces, which should only be 60 because the affinity system should not exist. I haven't touched the Dawn mods. Notorious armor doesn't have a slot at all for seasonal mods. The mods added that season were just the resist mods, which are now general mods. I have some cool seasonal mods I'd like to use (Taken mods mostly) that I just can't at all. I want to wear my cool Chroma gambit armor. Armor 2.0 was made with the idea of looking how you want and not being punished with an inferior character build as a consequence. This isn't working unfortunately. Everyone either just doesn't engage with the system, or they grind the mods and accompanying armor for the season from raids/IB and just use the seasonal ornament. Why can't I have a charged with Light Reaper build? Why can't I use Taken Barrier as a Sentry? Being able to use 3 seasons worth of mods simply isn't enough, and just seems like another arbitrary roadblock on the path to player expression.

Some are probably confused why I did this. I really like Gambit Prime (22 infamy resets + Reckoner Gang), I just wanted to be able to make any loadout in it I want to. I even plan on doing build showcases and live commentaries for youtube. But it has come at a great cost. I have to farm nightfalls as well just to upgrade my armor at a decent pace. The current system is fantastic for players who want to use 1 build for the duration of their playtime. But otherwise, it cripples the ability to navigate the sandbox and experiment. It punishes players for not having endless combinations of armor pieces. Imagine if I wanted to worry about stat rolls? How much reckoning would I have to do? How many cool guns would I need to dismantle to cram the armor into my vault? Armor 2.0's flaws outweigh the benefits because the flaws are counterproductive to the goal.

I hope I am not coming off like a dick and that my feedback is useful. I believe that right now, this is the belief of many in the community, I've seen videos on the topic expressing the same ideas. Making builds in this game is so fun. I have a spreadsheet of Gambit builds that I cannot wait to show off. Please take away the affinity and seasonal mod restrictions.

Tower thought: if you are the first in line in Menagerie, you can control where everyone goes

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 08:27 PM PST

More or less, at least. I have found that if I leave a room first, everyone will follow me. Sometimes I take them on the 'scenic route' to the next room that Calus wants us to go to.

The Emyrean Restoration has the markings of a Ponzi scheme

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 10:50 AM PST

    • Low risk, high return - we're "guaranteed" to get our fractaline back that we "invest" at a later date
    • "Consistency" - we're promised a 1:2 "return on investment" every Tuesday after reset, hell or high water
    • Secretive/unclear investment strategies - how are we getting paid back? More fractaline out of thin air? Or.... are we getting paid from the investments of the new people?
    • Difficulty receiving payment - every Tuesday, when we are all supposed to get our return, the servers magically go offline for "maintenance" - at least every time so far we've got it back, but what's stopping them from not doing so in the future?

3D printed Thorn with the Wishes of Sorrow Thornament

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 12:25 PM PST

Hello! New to the sub, but not the game. I finally got around to painting up a 3D printed Thorn and it turned out better than I expected. Thought maybe you guys would appreciate it. The Wishes of Sorrow ornament is my partner's favorite version of the gun and it was a gift for them. What do you think?

Can we get a way to get a guaranteed 60+ armor roll somewhere in end game content?

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 11:35 AM PST

The armor from the season pass is still the highest roll total I have. Despite playing raids, farming nightfalls, Crucible, basically all activities for weeks, there is still nothing high rolled. It's really frustrating to not be able to play with nothing, but Void armor simply due to it being the highest roll I have. Can we please get some kind of guarantee 60+ armor roll somewhere. It could be even be a weekly bounty like the Gambit helmets. Just something.

If Prime Engrams are going to be low stat drops, and not increase your power, make them weapon drops.

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 12:55 PM PST

After you hit the soft cap prime engrams are beyond useless. You can use vendor tokens to even out your levels if that's going to be your argument.

After the soft cap (960 in this case) they should drop as randomly rolled world weapons only, preferably with the chance to drop fully masterworked or at least at 5 by default.

Resilience sucks in PvE and I can’t believe Titans get shafted for class ability cooldown

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 06:56 PM PST

There's always the one guy that argues literally everything on Reddit, but nobody can argue that it's bad game design for how bad resilience is compared to recov or mobility in PvE.

Regen 43% faster, move 40% faster while shooting and be very hard to hit, or have a trashy 13% more health....big WHOOP. How is it not 30% in PvE?

Bungie, can we change the pose of our guardian when we view them?

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 02:04 PM PST

With all due respect I really don't like the poses that titans and hunters make when you view one. Warlocks are okay in my opinion but titans and hunters need to be looked at.

Bungie, can you make it a way where you are able to change your guardians pose when people view them? Titans look like guardians who have trouble moving their arms when you view them. I

miss when they had their gun by their leg or over their shoulders! Even hunters have bad poses in my opinion. The female hunters have a sort of hip sway which makes it more special but male hunters just stand there stale.

I just think it would be very cool if you guys can add a certain set of poses guardians can have and then we'll be able to choose which pose we want. Honestly, half of the guardians I view probably would look better if they didn't pose like they can't movie their bodies.

The tribute hall quest dog room is the best place to farm for any type of kill bounty and catalyst

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 06:42 PM PST

    How to do

    • go to tribute hall

    • start quest

    • make your way to the room with the blights and dogs

    • don't destroy the blights

    • go in the opens space between the trees and the big rock

    • wait for the waves of dogs to pour in

Reasons this is better than whisper farm

    • faster spawns

    • no timer

    • easier to get to

    • 9/10 times the ads get to you all at once as a big wave

    I've done

    • prospector catalyst

    • black talon catalyst

    • sunshot catalyst

    • riskrunner catalyst

    • every stupid obelisk bounty involving "kill with scout rifle 5000 times"

    in roughly 1-2 hours

How to negate boss stomp effects with a little mechanic i found.

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 03:40 PM PST

I don't know if many people already know this, but i found out a little trick to prevent boss stomp effects from knocking you back. You want to be very close to the boss, and exactly right after the boss stomps, you want to melee it, and the melee lunge will cancel out the stomp knockback effect.

Can i just say that valakadyn has got to be one of the best viable auto rifles in today’s meta.

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 04:48 PM PST

With hand cannons, shotguns, and fusion rifles dominating the crucibles meta, the valakadyn is a strong 720 rpm auto rifle that can MELT people if you have the right rolls and know how to use it. It is one of, if not, the best auto rifles right now. BUT, it's just my opinion. What do you think?

Solo 999,999 Throwing Hammer in Tribute Hall - Post Wormwood Caress nerf. Synthoceps + Roaring Flames x3 + x2 1-2-Punch + Solar Plexus

    • Synthoceps: Being surrounded buffs melee damage
    • Roaring Flames x3: Kills with abilities makes abilities deal more damage
    • Solar Plexus (Season of Dawn Artifact Mod): Solar Melee Abilities do more damage
    • x2 1-2-Punch:
      • One Small Step (Moon Shotgun) - Handling MW, One-Two Punch, Grave Robber [58 Handling]
      • Prophet of Doom (Garden of Salvation Shotgun) - Feeding Frenzy, 1-2 Punch [50 Handling]
    • Enhanced Shotgun Dexterity [6 Arc Energy] + Shotgun Dexterity [4 Arc Energy]

The thing I don't 100% get is why all this, but only 1 stack of 12P does around 330,000 damage. But double 12P does 999,999.
