Posted: 05 Mar 2020 03:03 PM PST Source: https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/48827 This Week at Bungie, we prepare for the worthy. We're just five short sleeps from Season of the Worthy. Last week, you completed the Empyrean Foundation event, lighting a beacon for Guardians to follow back to the Lighthouse and Trials of Osiris. On Tuesday, we unveiled Season of the Worthy all up. If you haven't seen the trailer, there is a new threat for you to confront. Bungie.net also has a dedicated page for the new Season, jam-packed with information to get you up to speed before next Tuesday's launch. Before we get started with the rest of the TWAB, I wanted to take a quick moment to highlight another blog post that went live earlier today. In response to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, our teams have been working hard to build out an infrastructure that would enable Bungie employees to support Destiny 2, and the impending Season 10 release, safely from remote locations. Season of the Worthy is still planned to release on March 10, followed by the return of Trials of Osiris on March 13. While there is a possibility that this change could affect our patching cadence in the short term, we will be sure to keep players informed about those schedules as much as possible. Stay tuned to @Bungie and @BungieHelp for any future updates. Now, we have some housekeeping to do before we arm an ancient Warmind. Let's get to it. TrialsReturnsMoments after the announcement that Trials of Osiris would return with Season of the Worthy, we witnessed numerous Guardians sharing their favorite memories from this beloved corner of the PvP endgame. Moments of spectacle, joy, heartbreak, insanity, and everything in between. Trials of Osiris was the source of some awesome community highlights—a thing that some of our newer Guardians may have yet to experience. We'd love to see more of your stories and bring them into the scene. Using the hashtag #TrialsReturns, share your favorite clips from Destiny 1's Trials of Osiris. You can post them to Twitter, upload them to YouTube, and even post them to our Community Creations page. We'll round up our favorites to be featured in next week's TWAB. If your video is selected, you and your fireteam will take home a Movie of the Week emblem. Make sure to include links to the Bungie.net profiles of every team member. Power GainsWith each new Season, you're faced with new challenges that require a bit of Power acquisition to take on. In Season of Worthy, you'll be challenged in not only Trials of Osiris, but in Legendary Lost Sectors and Grandmaster Nightfalls. Here's a quick update from the Dev team on what's changing on day-one, and what our plans are for a mid-season update:
While we have the Dev team here, they also wanted to give an update on Artifact Power for Trials of Osiris.
Season of the Worthy: Eververse UpdateWith the turn of each Season, we hope to keep players up to date on how the Eververse Store is evolving. This Season, we have a few changes concerning Bright Engrams, and a new path to directly purchasing some previously featured Eververse items. Bright Engrams In Season of the Worthy, Bright Engrams will no longer be available for purchase from the Eververse Store. As said in the February 2020 Director's Cut: "We want players to know what something costs before they buy it. Bright Engrams don't live up to that principle so we will no longer be selling them on the Eververse Store, though they will still appear on the Free Track of the Season Pass." This Season, we are continuing to focusing our efforts on direct purchasing through the Eververse Store. Daily Rotation of Returning Items In the place of Bright Engrams, a new module will become available on the Eververse Store starting in Season of the Worthy. This daily-rotating module will feature one item from a small selection of ships, Sparrows, Ghosts, and finishers that were offered in previous Seasons. These items will be available to purchase directly for Silver at a discount from the original price. Aside from these changes, there aren't any other major shifts coming for Eververse. We'll be monitoring the conversation through launch and beyond, and will be sure to update you before any large changes come. Here's a quick preview of some upcoming items coming with Season of the Worthy: Hunter Finisher Titan Finisher Warlock Finisher The Final Preview (of Patch Notes)Over the last few weeks, we've been giving some previews how your sandbox will be evolving in Season of the Worthy. Not just weapon tuning, but the ability to change the Elemental Affinity on your armor pieces. This week, we'll be taking a wider look at Destiny 2 Update 2.8.0. Exotic armor tuning for PvE and PvP, UI updates, bug fixes, and more… Exotic Armor

While this list is pretty lengthy, we'll have more patch notes to share with you next Tuesday around 9 AM PDT, an hour before Season of the Worthy begins. Some of you may be asking, "Wait, 10 AM? Don't patches usually ship at 9 AM?" Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 8. If your region takes part in jumping forward, your weekly reset time will be an hour later than you're used to. More information from the Player Support team below. Systems CheckBefore we dive headfirst into Season of the Worthy, we have a patch to ship. Destiny Player Support has your itinerary in hand, and a quick list of some resolved issues.
Dawn Comes to an EndSeason of Dawn has been a fun ride. We saved a Legend, stopped the Psions from changing time itself, and had the opportunity to watch a lot of Community Creations along the way. Movie of the Week: Creatures of Destiny: A Nature Documentary Honorable Mention: This player should be banned for such an unsatisfying montage Honorable Mention: Riven's Heart Theme Keyboard Cover Cheers to everyone who submitted a video, art piece, or anything to the Creations page during Season of Dawn. We're excited to see what you cook up over the next few months. It's crazy to think that next week a new Season begins. It feels like just yesterday we were watching you all explore the Corridors of Time. It's no secret that I'm pretty excited for Trials to return, and I'm also looking forward to see you share your memories with the #TrialsReturns hashtag. See you next week. Maybe we'll bump into each other on our way to the Lighthouse. No hard feelings when you lose, okay? Cheers, Dmg04 [link] [comments] |

Posted: 05 Mar 2020 12:35 PM PST Source: https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/48839 Since news of the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak appeared a few months back, Bungie leadership has been keeping a close eye on updates to follow the progress of the global containment effort. With the recent spread of the virus into the U.S., and with a particular density of cases found in the greater Seattle area (near Bungie HQ), we have been actively working on plans over the last few weeks to ensure the health and safety of our employees and partners, both locally and globally. While health and safety are our top priority, we also recognize the importance of maintaining the continuity of our regular Bungie business operations and have rapidly built a remote work infrastructure to best support this. This includes delivering on our current content plans, the maintenance and upkeep of Destiny 2, as well as continuing development of the game. Today, we have activated this fully remote work infrastructure and policy for all Bungie employees across the globe, with the goals of prioritizing the safety of our employees and continuing to develop and deliver on a game we love for our community. To accompany this policy we have rolled out technical solutions for all employees to be able to maintain communication with one another, as well as to continue working on development and maintaining game-critical functions while working remotely. Our goal is to continue crafting the ever-evolving Destiny universe, while making those behind-the-scenes efforts to keep everything running smoothly invisible to our fans. While there is a possibility that this change could affect our patching cadence in the short term, we will be sure to keep players informed about those schedules as much as possible. Most immediately, we will still be launching Season of the Worthy on March 10, followed by the start of Trials of Osiris on March 13. Bungie's approach to the COVID-19 outbreak is designed to react to rapid changes as news dictates, including how we will eventually re-integrate employees back into our local offices once the threat of the virus has lowered. While this is a big change for Bungie, we look at the challenge as an opportunity to stretch our ability to create and deliver the same kind of quality gaming experiences we always have in a new way. Be well, take care of yourself, and see you online. [link] [comments] |
Regarding the new Titan "Street Wear" set Posted: 05 Mar 2020 04:19 PM PST Season of the Worthy Street Wear Warlocks look like inner city drug lords, Hunters look like the muscle or part of an underground sparrow racing club since it was banned from the Last City. Titans? Looking for the best deals at the Salvation Army apparently. How about some graffiti on the helmet or a Last City Police Force aesthetic? Nah just a mask with a ditto mouth for an eye slot and some sanitation department work pants. Edit: Thank you for the Silver! I'll be sure to hid it from the meth addict Titan! [link] [comments] |
Paracausal dragons that subtly try to get your attention Posted: 05 Mar 2020 10:49 AM PST |
One Million Kill Prometheus Lens Posted: 05 Mar 2020 07:29 PM PST Finally reached 1,000,000 kills on my Prometheus Lens... If you're a doubter I urge you check Charlemange. I was/am curious as to who else has this many kills on weapons and what they may be. It's been a long time coming for this one. [link] [comments] |
My third drawing of the final hive lord - Xivu Arath, God of War! With bonus war and destruction! Posted: 05 Mar 2020 11:08 AM PST Finally I finished what was started with that Oryx drawing about a month ago. https://twitter.com/neophyte_r/status/1235643176376922114 And again, trying to draw in something resembling Mike Mignola's style, because he's amazing. Wait, wait, wait. The titan is on THE LEFT?! Posted: 05 Mar 2020 05:53 PM PST This is an outrage - we titans need to get back in the gym! (https://imgur.com/NOC8wbN.jpg) [link] [comments] |
Bungie Comp matchmaking at its finest! Posted: 05 Mar 2020 04:51 AM PST I love playing in comp games where I have 0% percent chance of winning! SMH Edit 1 : Just to confirm this wasn't the Freelance playlist, I was in a pre-made fireteam of 3, with 2 clan mates. Edit 2 : Wow! This post has blown up, my first front page! Thanks for all the explanatory/funny/git gud (everyone's entitled to an opinion) comments. Quite a few people have asked what the website/app is, it's called Destiny Tracker. I don't know the rules around posting links, but you'll definitely find it through an internet search. Thanks again. [link] [comments] |
A heads up for people keeping bounties into next season Posted: 05 Mar 2020 11:43 AM PST Between shadowkeep and season of dawn I too kept a bunch of bounties for xp gains. My fatal mistake was that I didn't wait to claim them until AFTER I had gotten my artifact. All that xp went to my character yes, but didn't help level up my artifact. So just a heads up for this next season wait to get your artifact before turning in your bounties. [link] [comments] |
The new warlock eververse armor makes Warlocks look like a bunch of pimps Posted: 05 Mar 2020 07:53 PM PST Which is accurate considering the increase to range on their bitch slap [link] [comments] |

Dear Bungie: Modulus Reports.. Please stop.. Posted: 05 Mar 2020 05:38 AM PST Dear Bungie: I know I'm probably in a very minute player-base that still very much enjoys doing Forge's, but please Bungie, IN THE NAME OF TELESTO, please allow us to hold more Modulus Reports. OR, at least allow us to destroy them ALL instantly, an entire-stack of 15, seriously! My mailbox can't handle anymore Modulus Reports! It's pinging me like mad, and I can't Bank the damn things! P.S. If I see JUST ONE MORE sneaky Mail-man holding anymore damn Modulus Reports I'm gonna hit him with my damn Hammer! [link] [comments] |
Bungie what were you thinking with the Titan armor this season Posted: 05 Mar 2020 04:24 PM PST First we got the turtle armor and now we got warlock trash bin armor. [link] [comments] |
Titans this season have it rough with armor. Posted: 05 Mar 2020 04:06 PM PST Note: This is more of a throw away thread as its just here to voice an opinion as where would anything be without feedback? And yes, it is a tad early for this. I have to say that it appears Titans this season have gotten the extraordinarily short end of the stick this season with what they have shown in regards to armor looks. Of the sets shown, being the seasonal, seasonal ornament and what can be assumed to be EV, they all look awful. Some of the worst armor designs I have ever seen in my life. The EV set looks like a bad warlock cosplay a titan made, meanwhile you have the Elder Maxon looking warlock and the "I didn't ask for this" looking hunter which is the coolest of the three. The ornaments for the seasonal armor is just... A matter of personal taste. I personally hate it, not because its not Ikelos themed as many expected but because just fundamentally it looks so unappealing. The base set isnt much better but is at least close to average. Trials at least looks great but its just from D1 and from what ive seen of D1 it still has the better overall armor design that D2 desperately needs. Mind you, the last two seasons Titans have had some pretty cool armor so to see this season with maybe one good set at best is disheartening. Maybe the guardian games will have something, who knows. The addition of the faction armor would be cool if year one Titans werent so ugly with all the arms having over sized pauldrons. A retroactive resizing would go a long way as some of the do look good but are ruined by the cartoonish proportions. Here's hoping a better set comes along somewhere and a more depressing hope that following seasons look better. I hope we see more traditional armor instead of the flashy fantasy look one of these seasons, some of my favorite armors thus far are some of the simplest in the game and not the over the top ones we have gotten lately. Feel free to discuss, im not really looking to have my mind changed but id be willing to talk at least. [link] [comments] |
Bungie, season of the worthy's Eververse Hunter armor is what we Titans want. :( Posted: 05 Mar 2020 04:08 PM PST Looking buff and badass WITHOUT GIANT SHOULDERS. What is even that Titan look? [link] [comments] |
Aggression, Power, Tenacity...Titans Posted: 05 Mar 2020 06:53 PM PST |
Please Make More Gun Mods, Especially Specs for Non Damage Perks. And Revist Some Old Perks. Posted: 05 Mar 2020 06:31 AM PST For those say why not just buff the perks: I really think every mod should have a mod like this conversely that buffs the per to be above other perks. The trade of is which of your two main perks do you want to buff? Or is there another mod like a Champion Mod, Enemy Spec, or General mod like Freehand Grip that might fit the scenario better. Many perks are really really good but aren't lol more damage as easy as possible. Take a currated Threat Level for example. Would I want a Trench Spec, Graverobber Spec, Major Spec, Boss Spec, or Quick Acces Sling? All could situationally be good, others could be personal preference. This adds to player agency a ton to allow us the decision how to tune our guns. Some examples I though of: 1) Grave Robber Spec: Melee kills that would proc Grave Robber have a chance to find ammo for you and your Fireteam (odds weighted towards the Ammo type of the gun equipped) 2) Tripple Tap Spec: Tripple Tap and 4th Time's the charm have a high chance of returning an additional extra bullet 3)Trech Barrel Spec: Trech Barrel Buff lasts an additional 2 seconds and grants damage on an additional shot. 4) Box Brearhing Spec: Time to activate Box Breathing Decreased by 50% 5) Clusterbomb Spec: 3 additional Cluser Bombs are created and Cluster Bombs do 10% more additional damage. 6) Ambitious Assassin Spec: Grants additional ammo in your gun's magazine on reload after kill. 7) Firing Line Spec: Grants a level of of Mobility, Recovery, and Resilience to all members of your firing line (anyone counted in procing the perk) 8) Demolitionist Spec: Kills Grant Additional Geranade Energy. Gernade Kills can Overflow the Magazine. Edit 1: Going to add new ideas for mods here as they come. 9) ~Enemy Race~ Spec: I'm really bummed we didn't get more of these. Or any of the Race armor mods for that matter. Only Aramaments were thay big of a problem. The rest were awesome chouces. 10) Shield Disorient Spec: it was discussed here in the comments. https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/fdw1vw/please_make_more_gun_mods_especially_specs_for/fjk9smz 11) Bonus Shield Damage Mod: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/fdw1vw/please_make_more_gun_mods_especially_specs_for/fjl5gt5 Perks to Revisit 1) Dragonfly (and Chromatic Fire): Make it activate faster like D1 Firefly (Ace of Spades works perfect) and buff the base perk damage. 2) Pulse Monitor: Add the Life Alert Perk to it from D1. 3) Air Assault: I don't know but it is really bad..... 4) Headseeker. It can be passable, sometimes, but is mostly just bad. 5) Explosive and Timed Payloads: they need to do more additional damage in PvE. Bring them back to their equivalent D1 and D1Y2 glory. Edit 2: D1 Perks missing in D2 that could be cool Battle Runner, Army of One, Rodeo, Battle Runner, Bipod, Tripod, Gernades and Horshoes, Luck in the Chamber, Final Round (post Sniper Nerf version), Shoot to Loot, Firefly (for Kinetic Weapons). Edit 3: Other Unique Ideas Spawned in the Thread 1) New Rocket Perks and Archetype: 2) New Perk and Gernade Launcher Idea: [link] [comments] |
The Eververse armor this season is exactly how all Eververse armor should be. Posted: 05 Mar 2020 04:00 PM PST We give Eververse a lot of crap for putting stuff in the store that's cool looking and/or should be in the main game to earn, but this new armor is outrageously ridiculous for the Destiny universe that I would only accept that it comes from something like the Eververse store. Hate it or love it, you have to admit this stuff is so absurd that we'd never expect to get it from running something like a raid or strikes or crucible or whatever. If Bungie could keep the ridiculous cosmetics in the store and the enemy-and-activity-themed cosmetics earnable from activities in game I'd be perfectly happy. [link] [comments] |
Triple bow setup is fun this week in 980 Ordeals Posted: 05 Mar 2020 07:52 AM PST
Tired and completely bored of running Izanagi's Burden. Try triple bow (with a void subclass with Unstoppable Schwarzschild Condensor). Ran it on my Nightstalker (quad bow / top tree). Ran this a bunch last night in a squad with sub 10 minute runs. Zero problems. You do not need Divinity, you do not need Izanagi's Burden. Lift the veil over your eyes. [link] [comments] |
What is going on with the TITAN design aesthetic Bungie? Posted: 05 Mar 2020 05:59 PM PST I just cannot understand what is happening here ? We have gone from Washbasin shoulders to the Random Homeless TOWER NPC now? How was this approved? I don't use 90% of D2 armors because they are so ugly , I have basically given up. How did we go from this to whatever the hell that is at the top of the post? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Mar 2020 07:47 AM PST That's right around Neptune, it means that the Darkness is not only advancing fast, but they'll also very likely arrive at Earth within a year. That's all according to the new Osiris and Rasputin lore post, of course, but if they are really in the Kuiper Belt, that's also assuming that Destiny travel speed is consistent in-lore. The Darkness must not be advancing with their full fleet then, as that issue will probably be dealt with within Destiny 2's lifespan (or atleast, a small number of Darkness Ships). [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Mar 2020 07:51 PM PST 11 x 5 = 55 armor parts, I have not included the current weapon drops and the upcoming faction weapon drops which means getting the armor/weapon that you want is less than 2 percent. This is kinda ridiculous don't you think? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Mar 2020 10:46 AM PST This mod is nuts. It's essentially like explosive arrows and hi cal rounds in one. The explosive damage also bypasses elemental shields. I solo cleared the 950 ordeal using this mod in my load out. I'll be sad to see them go. [link] [comments] |
All possible returning armor sets Posted: 05 Mar 2020 04:13 PM PST This information may not be 100% accurate but most likely is thanks to This image from the TwaB Current 3 sets:

Posted: 05 Mar 2020 05:12 PM PST People have long hated how some of the best armor sets, design wise, were behind Eververse. The worst case of this, by far, is the Emperyan Cartographer set from Season 8. I would go so far as to say those sets are some of the best in the game. The high-fantasy aesthetic you could see, especially in the Titan set was beautiful. The problem was that it was in Eververse of all things when it would be an amazing armor drop for people to grind for. Now, though, the new set resembles casual, current day clothing. Something that simply wouldn't make sense to drop from an activity or a world drop. That's what Eververse should be. A space to put in items that would otherwise make no sense as regular drops, ie. Techno, modern, and robotic designs. Please Bungie, if that's the path your going for Eververse, please keep it up, that's a good balance. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Mar 2020 04:19 PM PST Level 430 on the pass, so much Frac invested, so much Iron Banner played and I only got like 5 60~ Stat Armor pieces that have acceptable stat distribution in the entire season. We won't know exactly how much of a change they have made until we play the new season for a few days but hopefully it's a decent bit easier to acquire high stat armor next season.
