Not gonna lie, the Dorito Ships showing up on Rasputin’s Sol display is better world building/story telling than the actual main focus of this season which is to blow up the Almighty.

Outbreak Perfected and Sleeper Simulant should create Warmind cells

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 09:11 AM PDT

Outbreak Perfected and Sleeper Simulant are Seraph weapons, right? Because they should be able to create warmind cells since they are created by Rasputin. You can disagree with Sleeper as we created it with the help of Rasputin, but I'm sure that Outbreak Perfected is a Seraph weapon as It is infused with SIVA and was created by Shiro-4.

Edit 1: I see a lot of people saying that the ikelos weapons should have random rolls and should be able to produce warmind cells. Ahh yes, The Return Of The King: EP shotty.

Edit 2: Imagine Shooting a single Sleeper shot and it produces 1 warmind cell just from hitting an enemy. Not even killing, just hitting. I hope that it becomes a thing so that Sleeper gets buffed to be a balanced but not Izanagi op to the point where bungie says: Fuck you Sleeper, go back to D1, where you melted bosses.

    I miss nightfall positive modifiers

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 02:14 AM PDT

I actually enjoyed grinding nightfalls for loot like mindbenders or horrors least... but then they took away the positive modifiers from five of swords. Why? Who was complaining about positive modifiers and wanted them gone? No one.

Bungo, why do you waste time and man hours to make something worse?

Bungie have you had enough time to realize your nerf to crit damage in PVE wasn’t necessary at all?

Just go ahead and hit the uno reverse card on that one if ya don't mind. Oh and while you're at it, buff scout rifles in PVE.

Exotic armor has no reason to cost 3 ascendant shards

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 09:00 PM PDT

It is just lame and annoying i shouldn't have to grind strikes for ascendant shards to have a fully upgraded armor piece there should be a specific quest per exotic armor piece that automatically applies +10 energy and is the "exotic armor catalyst" and also would be a good way of adding some new hotness to old garbage

Be proactive. Avoid weapon retirement this fall, by stocking up on the best PVE weapons the past 3 seasons has had to offer.

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 10:57 AM PDT

Weapon's viable-in-end-game lifespan is somewhere between 9 and 15 months, so 12 months would be a fair estimate. That means everything from D2Y1 and Y2 expansions are probably going to be left behind. I'm assuming weapons from season 8, 9 and 10 will still be around, but even that may change as we get new info on how weapons will be retiring moving forward.

Adding some of these to your Vault might be a good way to prep for the upcoming level cap on the majority of Destiny's arsenal.

If you’re going to have a Season Pass model, you need Double XP weekends!

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 05:35 AM PDT

What we need in the game is double XP weekends; where every activity, every bounty, and every enemy killed provides double XP. Not only would this take the load of from casual players trying to reach rank 100 on the season pass, or players trying to earn more power bonus levels, but also incentivize players to come in and just do any activity of their choice - resulting in more players hoping in the game from time to time.

If Bungie could implement Double Loot weekends alongside, that would be the cherry on top of the cake.

    Thoughts?

Edit: This suggestion is meant to act as a Hotfix until Bungie can implement a better progression system in the game.

Edit 2: I am not referring to the 5x XP boost you get at each weekly reset. Double XP weekends are meant to last for as many levels as you can get over the weekend!

Now that all the gear and Flawless title are available I think we can all 100% agree Trials is worse than half-baked.

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 03:25 PM PDT

Wow another Trials sucks post? Yup.

I wanted more than anything for Trials to succeed, but it absolutely hasn't. This weekend got the Flawless title and the past pieces of armor for my characters and I have no plans to play again until serious changes are made. What is the biggest problem overall in my opinion and why most will stop playing it altogether?

It's not rewarding. The loot sucks. It is beyond awful.

There are PLENTY of other issues with the playlist that need to be addressed ASAP, but loot is why we play Destiny, because we want god roll guns and armor. Trials isn't bringing that loot to the table to way it should be as a "Pinnacle Activity".

The loot system sucks and the incentive to get the loot is almost non-existent apart from the shotgun, MAYBE the auto, and the armor. Most players don't even want to try for the armor because the best parts(helmets and class items) have been locked behind the flawless chest so far.

The token system punishes every sort of player who wants to get meaningful loot.

Less confident players finally slog away to get 3 wins and can only turn in their tokens for the scout or some gauntlets(because we all know that token farming stomped out any chances for them to get to 3 wins for the shotgun that week). That blows for them.

What about the players who do go flawless or go flawless multiple times in a weekend? They a piece of armor. Adept weapons with a different appearance and (Adept) to show that you went flawless? Nope, two emblems and glowing spots on your trials armor for a week. What about passage of confidence? No loot protection, so you get any two items in your loot pool. Want to get two chances at getting a god roll shotgun for going flawless without a mercy? Nope, you get a rocket and a sub 60 rolled pair of gloves, better luck next time.

Because tokens are the only way to get the shotgun when it isn't in the card based loot the confident players that want a god roll shotgun token farm lower games for hours until they have a fat stack of tokens to turn in to Saint-14. What do they get? The scout, the rocket, some gloves, the scout again, and a shotgun with Field Prep. No good loot. So they go back to token farming. No fun for either team in those matches.

"What are your suggestions to fixing the loot problem?"

I have several, but this post is already way too long, many other posts have offered good solutions, and I'm more interested in hearing your ideas. What do you think needs to be done to fix the Trials loot problem? I imagine almost anything would be better than what we have now.

As a mostly PVP player I’m really sad to hear about the lack of loot in grandmaster nightfalls

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 07:01 AM PDT

I may never complete this activity, but I want my PVE sweats to get to earn cool loot for something very difficult, I am pretty upset that flawless for me doesn't mean a ton, other then an emblem and a title, but I want to be able to look in the tower and see that PVE sweat rocking some crazy glowy gear or a unique weapon for playing what is supposed to be the hardest activity in the game. That is all.

The Doomsday clock just got updated.......... Yo this is pretty scary mate !!

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 10:54 AM PDT

    • So the Doomsday clock in the bunkers just got updated.
    • Not only have the pyraminds moved by close to 8 pixels, we also now have about 9 ships currently in orbit being tracked by rasputin.
    • So if that is the pace at which they are gonna move per week, in roughly 8 - 9 weeks at the beginning of next season they will be able to reach Saturn's orbit. Meaning Titan.
    • This is both crazy and surreal simply cause I was expecting the ships to arrive this Fall. Not in god dang 8 weeks. OMG, hype mode activated !!!!!!

Here is the Article from Paul Tassi as well.

Whatever happened to Raid Vendors as a function for loot protection and roll farming?

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 03:06 PM PDT

Loot protection or duplicate reduction is not present whatsoever in Raids, so why not enable players to purchase any collection omissions using the precedent set for Leviathan?

Leviathan (& Prestige), Eater of Worlds and Spire of Stars all have Benedict 99-40 trade loot for Calus tokens so why not add Crown of Sorrow loot. Hell give the Visage of Calus a function post-Opulence aside form giving the lowest exp bounties in-game.

The Last Wish has some truly cruel drop rates, but why should that destroy a player's love of the game when Petra Venj could sell Last Wish loot? Petra already sells Raid Banners so why not use any of the disgusting amount of currencies for Raid gear. Use Tinctures of Queensfoil, Charges of Light, Dark Fragments or even an Oracle Offering (or a mix!! Imagine buying a Glittering Key for one Oracle Offering, five Unstable Charges of Light and 200 Dark Fragments).

Wrath of th… I mean Scourge of the Past already has an awesome Black Armory vendor so let me give Modulus Reports, Mod Components or one of my 9456516 Obsidian Radiance's for some gear.

Garden of Salvation. If only this Raid dropped a dedicated currency that could be turned into a vendor that actively monitored and rewarded any activity towards the destruction of the Sol Divisive…. OH WAIT. IT DID. IN SEASON OF THE UNDYING!! Let the raid continue to drop Vex Components to trade with Ikora, continuing her role from SotU and actively giving her something to do on a weekly basis.

By no means am I suggesting free loot from lazy farming. Just like Benedict 99-44 requires clears of the host Raid or Raid Lair I would expect future raid vendors to require trials to be overcome before a purchase could be made. Similarly the vendors would not sell Raid Exotics (but perhaps Bungie don't have such minuscule drop rates from the get-go, a flat 10% never hurt anyone).

More power to the player, more access towards curating the perfect monster-killing machine via god rolls and far less SODDING RNG!!

FYI: This message was sponsored by mid-level salt after my 20th GoS clear to finish the Titan badge by getting the gosh-darned Class item.

    TLDR: Bring back Raid Vendors.

    Warlocks need some non-robe options

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 03:18 AM PDT

Their special flair is the bond, so why does every chest piece have to be a robe? It would be nice to have different options. Everything is either a dress or trench coat.

If you're a bit of a triumph hunter, the Getaway Artist arc soul counts as kills of that grenade type for triumphs.

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 09:58 AM PDT

Not a big fan of a certain grenade type? Just equip it with getaway artist, and your turret will count for those kills!

Really wish Bungie was a little more consistent on the grenade properties of the turret. Half the time it's a grenade, half the time it's not.

Bungie please fix the melee system

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 11:32 AM PDT

I cannot stress enough how annoying it is to die to someone because your melee just magically bounced off of them, and did absolutely nothing. I've lost many 1v1s because they would be a one tap, and both my melees wouldn't "land", giving them the free kill. This has been a major problem since season 7, I would love to finally see it be fixed. Again, this bug makes survival and Trials super annoying, because I will die from my melees not "landing", and it isn't even my fault.

Suggestion for Ghosts 2.0! Make all Ghost perks into Mods that can be equipped on any Shell. Also allow all Ghosts to be Shadered

Pretty much as the Title says. This could be an opportunity to make Ghost Shells more than just cosmetic items, but instead a customizable piece of gear. Also there's no reason every Ghost Shell shouldn't have an option to be Shadered.

In D1 Ghosts required upgrades as well so maybe something like the energy system could be implemented. However do not attempt to incorporate the affinity system on Ghosts if you go this route. I'm serious Bungie, you will ruin this for everyone.

At this point, grinding weekly bounties for BD feels more rewarding than completing activities that drop Pinnacle rewards

Because I can at least get loot that makes me look cool with Bright Dust.

Make loot cosmetically appealing for harder activities in the game please

The only item I'm proud of wearing is the ship "The Platinum Starling", mainly due to the fact that it took TIME and EFFORT to achieve this item.

    Sliding under a Thundercrash

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 10:13 PM PDT

During a game of Trials, I slid under a thundercrash which was really neato, but I wonder if it's because the hit detection is wonky, or the guy missed.

The way you start a new character now feels... off.

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 07:45 AM PDT

Disclaimers: I acknowledge that this is very nitpicky, and also, this is by no means a demand for Bungie to "fix this now!". They have even less resources due to being confined to their homes, which I think people should take into account. Third, I am a complete Bungie shill, and I will end up preordering any Destiny content anyway, so don't take my word too heavily.

Before Shadowkeep, I deleted my secondary characters multiple times just to relive the campaign in its entirety, from scratch. The first few and last few missions were, in my opinion, masterpieces. There was just something about starting with white gear, and then having it all stripped away. Adieu is in my top 3 story missions in all of Destiny. However, the way they have it now just doesn't feel right. Hoping to have it just as it was before, I restarted my 960-ish Titan once again. I really like A Guardian Rises from D1. I really like that mission, but it feels off in D2. I'll try to break this down into different topics from here on so that it doesn't become more cluttered.

To play the vanilla campaign as of now, you have to do the tutorial mission, talk to the vendors, then you can go to Amanda and start Homecoming. However, you already have blue and green gear at this point, and have already grown accustomed to the new Tower, so seeing the OG Tower in ruins feels less impactful, and makes the reveal of the New Tower at the end of the campaign feel like "Wait, I've already got this place. What's so special about this cutscene? And who's this robot Hunter guy? He wasn't in the Tower when I went there." (The idea of having to go and manually acquire each campaign when you haven't done them yet on a character is a separate issue.) This all felt too cluttered.

The fact that I had to go and manually pick up The Red War, on top of my already established character having more gear than just Traveler's Chosen makes me feel really detached from the situation at hand. So much for trying to stay alive while only having a sidearm and an SMG. Now I can just sit in the back and kill them easily with an 860 something pulse rifle. (Everything being bumped up to 750 was a very double-edged sword...) Then, when Hawthorne finds you and gives you a shotgun, which is one you got about 20 minutes ago, it just adds onto the confusion, and lessens the feeling of slowly rearming yourself. On the topic of lessening the impact, when you talk to Holliday, she offers the ability to "relive" some recent battles, which makes you feel like the character you're playing isn't... you. A nitpicky dialogue thing is in Spark, where you are first supposed to see the Fallen. If you're a veteran, Ghost says "These Fallen weren't wearing any banners we've seen before" or something, which, well, you actually have. You killed like 50 in the tutorial mission, including a Fallen Walker. Confusion abound. Also on the topic of Spark, sort of but not really, is the fact that you immediately get everything unlocked for the base two trees of the subclasses just feels not as fun as having to go out and rebuild your strength as a Guardian.

The way it worked in D1 was great. You started with scrapped-together gear, and you leave with scrapped-together gear, plus a white Special weapon. Then, when you started doing the vanilla campaign, you just had to select it from the Director, instead of having it be like a little side quest not immediately noticeable in a world map like D2. The flow of one campaign to the next is smooth, as you can just hop into them right after you complete the main one, without having to go and manually pick up the entire campaign from a vendor. (Having a use for Holliday was a good idea, but the thing chosen wasn't the best idea, ya dig?) You had to unlock the worlds one by one, which was always fun, especially with something like Dread Patrol. However, in D2, you already have all of them.

I don't really have too much else to say, so that about does it. In summary, the new way new characters work feels too cluttered compared to the pre-Shadowkeep version. New Light, in my opinion, was a 'good intentions, bad execution' type thing, which I know has been covered many times over on this subreddit. What do you think?
