For any Guardians who are unable to do certain activities due to speech, hearing or anxiety problems

    Posted: 29 Apr 2020 08:13 PM PDT

A lot of activities in Destiny can be done solo, but some of the games funnest activities such as raids, dungeons, trials and missions such as Zero Hour or Whisper require you to bring a fireteam with you. A lot of fireteams require you to use a mic in order to join them which can prevent some people from enjoying these activities.

For people who are unaware, there is a community that is dedicated to helping those who have trouble finding groups to do these kinds of activities, Sanctuary.

Sanctuary is a Destiny community dedicated to helping guardians who are mute, deaf, have anxiety or for those who just want to a chill group to learn and play with. We have sherpas and players on all 3 platforms who are willing to help out with whatever you need.

Can we mention how Xûr has had very little impact on gameplay for a long time now?

    Posted: 29 Apr 2020 04:08 AM PDT

EDIT: I'm not saying that Xûr is useless - he's great for New Light, but he should have more of a role for veteran players too.

For anyone who doesn't know, he's a snake-face dude who sells exotics, exotic engrams and a couple of Nine based quest things. He appears somewhere in the system every weekend.

Remember Xûr from D1? Remember Gjallahorn Day? Remember how exciting it was to load into the tower and see what he was selling?

Now there's pretty much nothing he's good for. Mediocre exotics that I already have and one exotic engram (across ALL characters) that has bad stats.

What if he sold one exotic ornament for each character each week? Or, and this is even more unlikely, Bungie could bring back Twist Fate and allow us to grind to improve our exotics? Hell, maybe we could buy seasonal mods for ALL exotics for legendary shards? I want to be hyped to see Xûr again!

    Resilience should reduce flinch

    Posted: 29 Apr 2020 07:22 AM PDT

At least that, since it basically doesn't do anything now. And it would make titans feel "bulky" as they should be.

I don't see anyone having any reason to go for the max resil build, unlike recovery and mobility, where you get real useful perks.

Also tying resilience to the class ability is a really bad idea for titans since its forcing you to invest in a useless stat if you want to use the class ability more often.

Honestly, what is the point of giving us a finite number of Artifact mod unlocks?

    Posted: 29 Apr 2020 05:44 AM PDT

I actually felt this for the first time last night when I couldn't switch to Thunder Coil on my Class item, because Tyrant's Surge and Passive Guard are both too good to pass over. Before then, I didn't have much of a problem with having only a small number of unlocks, but after this, I got to thinking:

Only giving the Artifact a specific number of unlocks makes no sense from both a design philosophy perspective and it being effectively pointless.

To the first point, Bungie's idea of "play your way" is already limited by a number of factors, such as RNG, elemental affinities, bounties, etc. This is just the metaphorical cherry on top, but in a bad way. I understand the need to force the player to make a choice, but they're already doing so when they slot it in, which brings up my second point.

There are only a finite amount of slots on armor pieces, including only one for the Seasonal mod. There's no way to get a second, so it's not like you could ever have say, Thunder Coil and Passive Guard on at the same time. Furthermore, both of these mods cost a whopping six Energy, which means it would take 12 Energy to have both slotted in if it was possible, which it isn't. The difference between the Energy system and say, the Pick 10/12 system from Call of Duty is that you could pick unlimited items that fit with the allotted point total. This system however only lets you pick three or four mods to mix and match, but they only go in specific slots anyway, and they all cost varying amounts of Energy.

I'd like to propose an alternative: allow us to earn up to 25 Artifact Unlocks, each with varying XP requirements. However, the mods that you unlock themselves, have varying Glimmer costs to slot in. This would allow you to have all of the mods available at your fingertips, but still keep the cost for some of the wacky mods. The amounts of XP and Glimmer can be decided by Bungie, but I think this would be a much better system, and it would further incentivize people to play more in order to fully unlock and complete their Artifact.

Feel free to leave feedback or alternatives if you'd like.

TL;DR: The current Artifact system goes against Bungie's design philosophy and design structure, by deincentivizing "play your way", despite there only being a specific number of mod slots and allowed Energy to use. We should be able to fully unlock all of our Artifact mods if we're dedicated enough since you can't ever have multiple "wacky" mods and a couple of the others anyway. I believe that it should cost more Glimmer to slot in specific mods in order to counteract the ability to unlock every mod.

EDIT: Thank you for the awards, whomever you are!

Bungie, at the end of Guardian Games I'd really like to see the raw numbers of medals contributed Vs. the number you compensated the classes by.

    Posted: 29 Apr 2020 01:22 AM PDT

Just a bit of curiosity and much-needed transparency in how your intervening with the event, which you announced but didn't specify further on, possibly changed the outcome of the event.

Everyone hated double primaries, but the Champion gimmick is designed for a double primary loadout.

I feel like Champions are a shit gimmick that casts a shadow shaped like a dead sandbox and they should be removed from all content.

An attempt to illustrate Hawthrone joining the Guardian Games, with Louis, as sort of a comic book cover art style

Got inspired by the lore that came with the Underdog ship (https://www.ishtar-collective.net/entries/the-underdog) and made this piece.

Mental image had her and Louis both bathed in Light bearing the Titan's color, fighting for a cause. Confident and Hopeful.

Statement from Bungie about latency exploit and character deleting for GG.

Basically it's not doing anything and Titans were winning until today.

" [–]Mblim771_KyleThe Gifv Guy | @gifv_Kyle [score hidden] a minute ago Dylan (wash your hands) Gafner - @A_dmg04

Apologies for the delay on commentary here:

If you see a player spamming medal turn ins in the tower, this is purely a visual bug. This is providing no extra benefit to any class in Guardian Games.

Team has tested/verified this. Wanted to make sure before making a statement.

Deleting/Creating a character isn't moving the needle either.

"The impact of Guardian Games intro quest farming, since all Classes are doing it in similar ratios, is negligible and has had no impact of the final daily rankings. Yes, Titans are really, actually crushing it!"

    To sum up:

Spamming medal turn ins using a latency exploit doesn't actually work. Deleting/Creating characters to bank extra medals isn't giving any class an unfair advantage."

A question for Eververse designers: where does the yellow in the shaders for Revelry Nightsand and Blacksand even come from?

Title. I don't know what these guys have against basic white and black and/or solid color shaders but it's getting annoying.

Can the next DLC please bring back Trials of the Nine gear with a revamped Xur?

    Posted: 29 Apr 2020 09:46 AM PDT

Let me begin with saying that NO, I DO NOT WANT Trials of the Nine to come back. Trials of Osiris is enough pinnacle PvP action for me. BUT I DO WANT Trials of the Nine gear to come back to the game and I'll point out the reasons why.

    1. They look cool and Destiny 2's RPG mechanics are about looking cool as well as kicking ass.
    2. Bungie can easily tie it into the lore as in The Nine have had an agenda regarding the Darkness and the Light. Now that the Doom Doritos are here, they can give us their precious wares to stave off the apocalypse.
    3. Xur needs something better to do than just give us exotics. I mean I like him for selling us exotics every week but after the Invitations of the Nine, there isn't much for him to do. Maybe give him a system where we earn Strange coins for doing powerful and pinnacle activities and we can turn enough coins in for weapons and armor ornaments?
    4. Have I mentioned that the weapons and armors look fucking baller?

I played the game when it launched on a friend's account who was generous enough to buy it and then give it to me. Even though I left before the glory days, I didn't forget that the Trials gear looked absolutely fantastic (I'm a sucker for sleek and chiseled designs). And I wouldn't mind if some of those stuff came back to us as gameplay rewards (and not Eververse).

The true final enemy isn't the Darkness, it's the ones who have killed more guardians than everyone else combined: The Architects

    Posted: 29 Apr 2020 10:42 AM PDT

I would love to see r/DestinyTheGame come together on that final seal triumph many are missing. Stop trying to grind this with randoms. Let's set aside June 1st as "national defend the towers day"

    Posted: 29 Apr 2020 11:17 AM PDT

If everyone who doesn't have it vows to set aside that day to attempt it, everyone will have a significantly higher chance of completing it. Many of us have tried our luck on the moon, through LFG, etc. and failed due to nothing more than lack of player count

Returning Trials of the Nine as Competitive Gambit: Fan Concept

    Posted: 29 Apr 2020 07:59 PM PDT

It's season 11, the City is scrambling to prepare for the Darkness, as nightmare incidents spike across the system. You are going through your normal routine and Drifter mentions that someone "new, untrustworthy, has taken his old stand by the market. She just walked out of the Haul and set up shop"

This is Lavinia, your new Trials of the Nine vendor. She is a cryptarch that went missing after she left the city in search of the Nine. Rumor has it she's partially taken, but that would be silly now wouldn't it?

She sells Trials passages for glimmer, fireteam-wide bounties that award tokens, and TotN engrams.

TotN is now competitive Gambit. Since Gambit matches take longer then crucible, you only need five wins to go flawless. However, if you loose even one two matches, you are out for the weekend loose your passage. Each successive win rewards more tokens then the last and increases the odds of masterworked loot. Going flawless lets you return to the Third Spire to pick up adept TotN gear.

Gambit works differently under TotN. The Nine want to see a fair fight, so weapons are locked and some exotics are banned. No more Truth. You cant rely on your Gambit Prime armor either, only your wits and aim. This variant of classic Gambit is announced and introduced by Lavinia herself, and the first week will be set on a new map in the Unknown Space. Each week has a set map and enemy, so players can set their gear accordingly. Boss enemies will spawn alingside ads like in Gambit Prime.

Primevals aren't going to be your standard taken. The Nine have conjured up Nightmares of standard yellow bars, meaning your going to have to focus on getting those unstable essences to maximize your damage. TotN bosses are an in-between of the free for all Gambit bosses and the heavily structured Gambit-Prime ones.

Bosses include: Nightmare Minotaur, Captain, Centurion, Ogre, and Abomination. Supporting ads correspond to the race of the boss, instead of taken.

For loot, you can treat yourself to all of the Nine themed weapons from Year 1, now with random rolls and mod slots. A few new ones will be added too, such as a Nine themed machinegun, linear fusion rifle, and bow. These are earned at the end of round, by turning in tokens with Lavinia, or reaching the Third Spire. Players who complete all of the associated triumphs will earn a new title: Primeval.

Edit: made the loss criteria less harsh.

Bungie really needs to add knockout protection or adjust their weighted RNG for 1010 pinnacle gear.

    Posted: 29 Apr 2020 10:03 AM PDT

Grinding pinnacles for weeks for a 1010 chest piece on one character and getting 6 fucking class items in a row, and grinding for a class item on another character and getting 8 fucking chest pieces in a row is forced grind and absolutely infuriating.

To give some new life to Xur, bring back the weapon-ornament bundles he had in D1 and make exotic ornaments viewable in collections

    Posted: 29 Apr 2020 09:42 AM PDT

Those bundles were cool and offered something to look forward to if you didn't have enough silver dust to buy them from the kiosk. I know that the eververse store now has ornaments but the bundles would add another weapon/armor piece to his inventory. Plus they could offer older ornaments that are no longer attainable.

Also make them viewable in collections because I don't use 80% of the exotics in this game so I forget which I have ornaments for. Also, I would like to see older ones that I do not have.

    The Ultimate Guide to Rivensbane

    Posted: 29 Apr 2020 10:33 AM PDT

Hi Everyone! Mr Nu again. I am here after some GM nightfall grind to give you the guide to Rivensbane! As the OG Raid title paired with the hardest flawless raid, people can get very scared of going for this. There is also a lot of RNG with getting certain weapons to drop. However, LW definitely has the easiest weekly challenges out of any of the raids and the secret chests allow you to farm loot even during weeks you don't feel like LFGing for a group.

Just as an FYI, I wrote this guide assuming Riven Cheese.

    Guide to Rivensbane

I am planning to do a guide for Shadow next. Please let me know if you have any requests and I'll move them up on my list. Also, if you have any tips for me to improve these further, I am all ears.
