I hope Bungie isn't waiting until the end of Destiny 2's lifespan to finally improve the raid system just to simulate another Age of Triumph.

    Posted: 06 May 2020 02:23 PM PDT

Raids are in a really bad spot right now, with only Garden of Salvation being worth doing. I just hope they are working on it, because it IS a priority.

Hand cannons are in need of a buff in PvE

    Posted: 06 May 2020 06:12 AM PDT

tl;dr hand cannons are outclassed by other weapons in PvE

    1. The Problem with Hand Cannons

Hand cannons are the second slowest firing primaries, due to this they suffer from what i call "Hand Cannon Blue Balls" AKA leaving enemies almost dead, forcing you to take another shot, which completely tanks their Time to kill against PvE enemies.

This wasn't that much of a problem before the precision damage nerf of Shadowkeep, but after it, it became a lot more common.

Hand cannons are also pretty much outclassed by auto rifles, which have way more pure dps (which is superior in High-level content), but have a similar range.

    1. Fixing the "Hand Cannon Blue Balls" .

This is probably the most important thing to fix, as it completely ruins the add clear potential of hand cannons in PvE.

Fixing it is pretty simple, if a precision shot would open up an enemy to a finisher it would instead kill them, to balance this, this would only apply to red bars.

In my opinion this would make Hand Cannons even more high risk/reward, and make "Hand Cannon Blue Balls" a lot less common

    1. Buffing the damage itself.

Since hand cannons are burst weapons, they should kill medium to small health red bars (stuff like acolytes, thralls or vandals) faster than auto rifles, but be slower than them at killing big red bars ( stuff like servitors or knights) and yellow bars, as such their dps should not surpass auto rifles, therefore the damage buffs should be minor

Taking all that into account, here are my proposed damage buffs

Lightweight - No damage buff needed

Adaptive - 10%, they should deal more damage than lightweight since they fire more slowly and don't gives you a speed boost

Aggressive - 10%, they should have more one shot potential as they fire more slowly,

Double Fire - 10%, same as above,

Precision - 15%, precision frame hand cannons are currently the worst primaries in destiny 2, as such they need a higher buff.

Oh and one thing, every primary is good in low-medium level activities like patrols or lost sectors or regular strikes. If you think hand cannons don't need a buff, do a raid (or a round of menagerie or a nightfall) with a hand cannon, then do the same but with an autorifle with similar perks. Seriously raiding with a hand cannon is misery because it literally takes 3 shots to kill a single add, even with damage perks. A good primary should be Raid viable.

The Season of the Worthy Exotic Should Have Been a Sword

    Posted: 06 May 2020 02:06 PM PDT

With all the sword artifact perks, the lack of a seventh seraph sword, and the lack of a solar exotic sword, I think it would have made a lot more sense to have had a seventh seraph, solar, exotic sword than a solar autorifle that hurts you the more you use it. It could come with Overloaded as an intrinsic trait or Unstoppable for something a bit more unique (can you imagine stopping the Unstoppable Ogre's with a sword? You'd practically require Stronghold.)

Given the season's alleged focus on PvP, we could have had an exotic quest in Iron Banner (or just for Saladin in PvE) that could have rewarded us the Young Wolf's Howl sword from RoI. I'd rather enjoy a new solar sword than a refurbished one, but regardless I think this was a lost opportunity.

    Titans have won Guardian Games

    Posted: 06 May 2020 09:55 AM PDT

As of today's reset, out of the 28 points available for the event, the current distribution is as follows:

    Titans - 15 points

    Hunters - 1 point

    Warlocks - 0 points

Now that titans have a majority of the total points, their victory is certain. Second place will be determined by whether Hunters or Warlocks win more of the remaining days than the other (with hunters winning if both classes win the same number of days this week).

Hello Bungie, remember to add match-making into next season's seasonal activity!

    Posted: 06 May 2020 05:28 PM PDT

We all know what happened to the Seraph towers.

Also guardians with the Almighty title! If you have time to spare, try loading into the Moon and help others out. During my first flawless run two weeks ago, two randoms with the title joined and helped us yeet the oranges and kill ogres. Much appreciated.

Ability to pull any armor 2.0 class item from the collections at rank 1. There’s no random rolls on them and we’re able to change elemental affinity at will anyways.

The best thing about hitting level 100 on my season pass isn’t the level 100 reward

    Posted: 06 May 2020 11:12 AM PDT

It's the fact that I don't have to go to the tower when I load up the game. I can just log in and start playing the activities I want to. What a dream.

Vorpal Weapon TRUE PVP Damage Values

    Posted: 06 May 2020 04:34 PM PDT

So I've only ever seen people say that vorpal is a 50% damage boost, even in PVP. However, this would mean that Trophy Hunter would one-shot golden guns to the body given that GG has 0 damage resist and it should hit around 237 (1.5*158), yet it doesn't.

The image includes the damage numbers I got with the vorpal (and non) weapons I have. This was done in mayhem customs. The point of the stag numbers should be disregarded because of the 2 different fully drawn damage numbers on bows. Percentages are slightly off because of damage rounding numbers, but an overall trend is apparent.

    https://imgur.com/a/GNdTzaT

It appears that the vorpal damage multiplier is also dependant on the super's damage resistance, although it is not purely resistance penetration. Most supers have around 50% damage reduction, so that's what will be used as an average for all non-GG supers.

    TL;DR

Primary weapons deal 20% more damage to golden gun at 0% resistance, and 50% more damage to supers with 50% damage resistance.

Special weapons deal 10% more to golden gun, and 20% more to supers with 50% DR.

Swords: if Passive Guard is leaving, it should be folded into a perk that can roll on any new sword or become a new intrinsic for Death's Razor

    Posted: 06 May 2020 03:07 PM PDT

The reasoning behind the latter is the theme of the sword was always defense but warlocks are the only class that doesn't have a unique sword type. Titans get the highest dps with Aggressive and Hunters get the greatest mobility with Lightweight.

Pretty much everyone agrees that heroic Seraph towers are dead on arrival. Question is, are they going to stay that way?

    Posted: 06 May 2020 07:20 AM PDT

So far it's been a pretty embaressing showing for the season that the only new activity is almost impossible to complete. At least with the current way it relies on patrol area matchmaking to form groups.

The timer is too short, and the ball contributions too little to feasibly do it without an organised group, or an absolute boatload of blueberries making the attempt.

This is doubly annoying when you consider the leaks have indicated that the incoming exotic quest is going to be tied to 3 million community completions of the tower events. Whilst obviously this is unconfirmed info and should be taken with a pinch of salt it definitely makes sense when you think about how it worked with fractaline last season.

Honestly I dont even mind the event, its actually quite enjoyable if you get a decent group going, but if it stays in its current lacklustre state there is absolutely no chance we will hit that 3 million target.

So then what, we dont get the quest? It gets released anyway? Will bungie just ignore the problem and wait till it goes away with the rest of the season?

[Towerthought] Saladin doesn't fly to the Tower every Iron Banner but instead gets yeeted there by Efrideet

    Posted: 06 May 2020 11:16 AM PDT

I'm not sure if anyone has made a post about this already, but a couple of the Season of Dawn weapons are based off of enemy faction weapons, and I thought it was neat.

    Posted: 06 May 2020 12:48 PM PDT

Pyroclastic Flow (the rocket launcher) is a Cabal Bronto Cannon, those big things centurions carry around.

Trophy Hunter (sniper) is a Psion's sniper.

Gallant Charge (fusion rifle) is a Vex Torch Hammer.

Line in the Sand (linear fusion rifle) is a hobgloblin's rifle.

I'll update this post if I come up with any more.

Destiny is at it's best when high stakes translate to gameplay and aren't just lore references. Raise the stakes higher than you ever have, Bungie.

    Posted: 06 May 2020 03:06 PM PDT

You know what still gives me goosebumps? Thinking about Gaul's speech right before he kicks us off the tower, after taking our light. Second to that? The moment Cayde realizes he is going to die in Forsaken. These are moments that ultimately blur into the backdrop of an overarching story yet stand out when viewed on ab emotional level.

The absolute horror of Destiny is that while we are ever resurrecting demigods fueled by light, we are also stuck in this loop of death and reincarnation. Added to that is the meta but not so meta reality of a game: we know we're going to win or at the very least still be around no matter what happens.

What if at the end of D2's life cycle, that doesn't happen? What if it becomes clear we can't best the Darkness this next time? What if all we can do is save as many lives as we can with all the power we've built since the Red War (or prior if you imported) and it becomes our burden as guardians to decide how to keep fighting knowing every second is another citizen in the Last City escaping to the far reaches of our Galaxy, hoping to find sanctuary and Destiny 3 is about rebuilding/pioneering the unknown?

I mostly wanted to put the theme out there but here's a suggested gameplay idea for the summer between D2s final year and D3: the Darkness corrupts every single activity on every planet: events, strikes, raids, missions, patrols. It's everywhere and by doing these activities we can repel it but over time, it gets stronger and it comes back faster. Think Dreaming City but instead of just visuals, we end up with like nightfall or raid level mobs running around patrol zones or jumping out of dark corners in activities they shouldn't be in. It's dynamic depending on how many people participated in each zone/activity. The gameplay loop starts to become more about surviving these increasingly difficult encounters. And eventually we realize it's not going to stop so we have to make a choice: help all the citizens of the Last City escape that we can, knowing we're giving up on this part of the Galaxy or stay and fight to buy more time. If every activity or area gets 100% corrupted, the event ends and we see the results.

The implications are that if you help people escape, your character data inevitably survives into Destiny 3 because naturally some people are very attached and won't want to lose that. And if you stay, you literally Become Legend but die doing so. Your character is memorialized in the general lore with everyone else who died but you will have to start as a new guardian in Destiny 3.

The takeaway being: the story thus far demands higher stakes than it sometimes feels we see. Part of that is due to the nature of how games work but it would be a risky (maybe silly to anyone but me) yet cool move to see a major decision play out like this and ultimately makes a future Destiny more compelling, in my eyes. Who's to say this story has to stay in this small corner of the galaxy?

Can we get a fireteam finder IN GAME?

    Posted: 06 May 2020 05:59 PM PDT

I've played a little D1 and a LOT of D2, yet there are a couple of raids (EoW, SoS, and prestige runs) that I haven't done. I hate having to dig through discord or the companion app to find someone to make a full fireteam. How hard would it be to make a help wanted board in the tower where you could make a post and get a fireteam going without having to close out the game or go through my phone? IF you want people to still play older content, why not make it a bit easier and accessible? There could even be a split for experienced posting and newbies, because bungie knows how many times we've completed different activities, and they could put a requirement that's you've at least completed an activity a handful of times before you can post in the experienced section. I also love Sherpa'ing people through content that I've done plenty of times and think is fun, I'm sure there are more. So even if you're stuck posting in the in experienced board, you're still likely to get SOMEONE to help you out. This would ESPECIALLY make a difference on console where they don't have discord easily available. Would there be any downside to this? Just want to hear some thoughts.

    Felwinter's Helm broken after "fix"

    Posted: 06 May 2020 02:37 PM PDT

So before Felwinter's was disabled for PC abusers, it had a decent range when using a finisher or a normal charged melee (I play PS4 for context). Now since the "fix" it seems that it doesn't work half the time, as I was in the Savathun's Song strike and wasn't debuffing enemies right next to me. On the occasions that it was debuffing, it was a ridiculously small range and small debuff time. If the devs nerfed it I would love to know why, and if it's not the devs nerfing it I'd like them to be aware of this issue. Is anyone else having this issue?

Darkness Aside, Uldren and Mithrax NEED To Be Addressed Come Sept. Or Oct.

    Posted: 06 May 2020 12:54 AM PDT

IMO: Bungie needs to give meaning to the slowly crumbling species that is the Fallen, and how Mithrax's House of Light will join us (along with what dismantle mines yessss is doing).

And similarly, Uldren needs to be a presence because it will have been 2 years since we killed that blueish bastard and I want to see if he will replace Cayde or not.

    Thanks,

    A Warlock

Unlocking a full armor set should enable the armor skin for season pass holders.

    Posted: 06 May 2020 06:24 PM PDT

I want more skins. Like for instance I want to rock the forge armor skin. Seeing that the armor mods are non-existent for this armor, epuiping and using this armor is a disadvantage. But it looks cool! I want the skins.

If Bungie wants us to do bounties so bad, they need to expand storage for them
