    Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Eververse' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

"We want less bullet sponges and more mechanics based difficulty" "Riven cheese is what makes the encounter bearable" this community makes no sense to me sometimes

    Posted: 04 May 2020 01:47 PM PDT

Just commented on post about how cheese are awesome that as fun as cheese are, it does ruin some encounters like riven where you can't find anyone who does it legit and if you can't accomplish it first try people get toxic in lfg which sucks cause it's such a well made encounter. To which I got downvoted to hell and people telling me how they would never run that raid if the cheese didn't exist.

Which caught me off guard cause I thought the majority of people say they want mechanics based difficulty and that's exactly what that fight is but people never wanna do the mechanics but would rather fight it like every other boss that stays still and you hit a crit spot with burst damage and destroy them.

    Idk it just confuses me.

A Night out with the Destiny Gang

    Posted: 04 May 2020 03:03 PM PDT

    • Zavala: Doesn't let you drink, smoke up, or eat anything too unhealthy, you're such a buzzkill you smurf

    • Ikora Rey: Let's you have a few drinks just so you're tipsy because she knows you work hard to protect the city and your comrades

    • Lord Saladin: Brings you his custom craft ale, you spend the night hunting animals and bullying fallen, then you cook your hunted meat and share tales of your exploits

    • Ana Bray: You both enjoy some Sake and Sushi, then you play a game of who can Golden Gun the furthest and Battleships with Rasputin

    • Banshee: You tell him all of your dirty secrets, your undying need to be crushed by Ana Bray's soft thighs, that time you used Zavala's toothbrush as a toilet cleaner, and the worst of all when you said Oryx had a point, forgets everything the next minute so it's safe

    • Eris Morn: Starts off happy and thankful you'd treat her like this but after a few drinks she breaks down into tears about her fire team and you comfort her by doing a mocking Oryx impression

    • Emperor Calus: You drink the best wine in the galaxy and have multiple concubines that night, what an opulent experience

    • The Drifter: You both commit third degree murder several times, but he burns the bodies and nobody has to know, then you smoke an entire weed farm

    • Mara Sov: Is disappointed your Scottish Crucible friend didn't come along

    • Uldren Sov: gets drunk on his own on cheap vodka

    • Lord Shaxx: You both drink hearty and merrily then form a double team in the crucible and proceed to 2v6 everyone there, Saladin had to call it off because you were affecting the morale of every guardian who dares play against you and Shaxx

    • Cayde 6: You both steal a colony of Penguins, Zavala isn't even angry he's more shocked and surprised you managed to find a long thought extinct animal, he spends several days drinking and trying to wrap his head around how the fuck you managed it

    • Tess: You buy both of your drinks and she always orders the most expensive shit

    • Master Rahool: Insists his Beer Crate is the best but you keep getting Tesco Value Larger and he gets the finest crafts

    • Hawthorne: Gets drunk first and tells Guardians how great you and your clan are

    • Asher: Gets drunk off one shot and tries to tell you how he saw a Vex turn into a gun and it was the funniest thing he ever saw

    • Sloane: Idk gets drunk and goes full Eren Yager on a giant sea monster

    • Petra: Helped you and Cayde transmat those penguins

    • Devrim: takes you round his favourite pubs and shows you the best drinks at the bar, and then you both watch the footy match and cheer when Last City City beats The Farm United

    • Saint 14: Tells everyone how great you are and how much of an utter badass you are, makes sure you get drunk but not vomiting drunk, if you do get like that he takes you to your apartment and makes you don't throw up in your sleep

    • Osiris: Gets drunk in multiple timelines and has a rave with every version of himself and you for a laugh

    • Brother Vance: Can't see where to drink and ends up drinking water thinking it's vodka

    • Oryx: You both have an epic final battle shirtless in the rain

    • Ada-1: Very almost blurts out her hidden feelings for you, stops herself and starts blushing when you ask her if she's okay Baka

    • Failsafe: You both share your tragic tales and find comedy in them, she's a good AI

    • Spider: Both get drunk off 2 for one pints at the dance hall near him, both have a dance off and the Fallen gain a respect for your superior ability of dance

    • Eva LeDante: Tells you tales of her younger days, like when Rezyl saved Christmas, Zavala making presents for people he cares about, and all the cats of the last city

    • Benedict and Werner: Does whatever Calus says to do with you

    • Arcite: Has to clean up after you and Shaxx demoralised hundreds of fresh guardians

    • Xur: You both get so drunk you go see the nine and have a rap battle with them

    • Postmaster: orders too much and looses half of the good stuff

    • Rasputin: Both get into a heated argument about what the best Vodka is and what to eat with it, he wants Sunflower seeds and you want doctors sausage

Showcasing an S-Tier Subclass: Chaos Reach (Guide/Gameplay)

    Posted: 04 May 2020 07:07 PM PDT

    Link to Video: https://youtu.be/72d5YV6BgJw

    Stormcaller Attunement of Control

Over the past couple months I've been playing with the chaos reach subclass exclusively and I realized that I was using the super completely wrong the entire time.

Every time I was getting my super, I was just holding onto it and waiting for an opportunity to take out an enemy super. This is precisely what so many people are doing wrong! Waiting for this moment is very risky, and sometimes, it might not even come!

Once I changed my ways, I started using my super aggressively as soon as I got it, even if it meant just to kill one guardian. What I also learned is that the Geomags Stabilizers turn this subclass into S-Tier status. Here's how:

    GEOMAG STABILIZERS

Once you reach 80% of your super energy, sprinting will quickly top it off. Most guardians need to wait more than a minute for this kind of super energy. I get mine in seconds. Because of this, I get my super earlier than most people. This exotic leg armor yields multiple advantages:

    1. Ability to take down an opponent with your super in a comp or trials match much sooner
    2. Generate a large orb(s) for your teammates
    3. The duration of Chaos Reach super is extended with the boots equipped
    4. Deactivate your super early to conserve super energy. Through practice, I'm retaining anywhere between 35-50% after most of my activations

In quickplay matches I'm getting sometimes 5-6 supers per game and it hurts my opponent's ability to be offensive. In comp matches, I'm depleting their lives quicker, which in turn let's my teammates get their super quicker. By the time my opponent gets their super, I already have my second lol. The super is incredible for matches where lives count.

    PULSEWAVE

When you're critically wounded, pulsewave enhances your mobility and weapon speed (handling/reload.) The pulsewave also applies to nearby allies. The perk has benefits in multiple scenarios:

    1. Outstrafing your opponent
    2. Disengaging from a fight and retreating
    3. Engaging your next opponent with enhanced mobility

The perk lasts for 9 seconds and pairs extremely well with high recovery and weapons with damage boosters (rampage, kill clip, etc.)

    THE MELEE (BALL LIGHTNING)

This long range melee ability is a shotgunners dream. It allows you to shoot your first shot from further out and then finish them with the melee. Works well when your opponent is back peddling.

Furthermore, you can shoot a lightning ball above barriers and objects. If your opponent is standing under the ball, lightning will shoot down and do 70 damage. This is showcased very well in this video: https://youtu.be/HOT6G-mrEqc

    IONIC TRACES

When you defeat an opponent, there is a high chance to generate an Ionic Trace. I see one from almost every kill (and occasionally from assists.)

It is hard to quantify, but from visuals, it looks like the ionic trace charges about 5% of my super and 20% of each of my abilities. Since the Traces are charging my abilities I can put more mods into resilience, recovery, and mobility.

Traces are generated from any super kills, so it would be wise to chase them down after you deactivate your super.

HOW TO USE THE SUPER EFFECTIVELY

A little while ago, I made a full guide on how to use the super: https://www.reddit.com/r/CruciblePlaybook/comments/ekfzu0/how_to_use_chaos_reach_effectively_in_pvp/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

Ultimately, try to use your super in locations where your opponent has limited cover to hide from your Chaos Reach. Also, try to engage your opponent at odd angles (i.e going high up in the sky) to reduce your chances of getting shot down. Baiting your opponent into a lane which is difficult to exit is also a good idea.

    MY BUILD

Kinetic: Bastion Energy: Summoner or Outlast (with snapshot) Power: Doomsday (curated roll)

    Mobility: 6 Resilience: 6 Recovery: 7

    Discipline: 6 Intellect: 7 Strength: 4

Double Light Reactor mods on my class item to help get my super even faster (since I am using Bastion.)

I occasionally swap out Bastion for a shotgun (depending on the map) and change my class ability mods as a consequence.

    CLOSING REMARKS

In a comp setting this super is incredible because you have the ability to get your super quicker than your opponent. When lives matter, Chaos Reach has the ability to turn matches.

Geomag's let you top off your super bar at 80% and also retain more of your super energy when you deactivate it. This gives you more opportunities to use your super in a playlist where lives matter A LOT.

Thanks for watching the video, and I hope I was able to give you some insight on a subclass that is seldom used by the Destiny community.

I found out what Hunters are doing during Guardian Games

    Posted: 04 May 2020 11:04 AM PDT

    I Don't Feel Like a God-Slaying Badass Anymore

    Posted: 05 May 2020 12:46 AM PDT

The thing is, I don't mind Bounty Simulator too much. It scratches my grind until I forget about my real life stress itch. But the more I play this season the more I hate the missed opportunity of the epic setting.

We have a giant spaceship being thrown at Earth, and what I'm doing is... helping a giant cube launch small circles into space. What. The player guardian is literally a god-slaying badass who took out Ghaul etc etc etc and the best way to use this time-traveling walking weapon of mass destruction is to... have me throw orbs at a bigger orb while Ana yells at me.

The thing that Ana and Zavala did in the opening cutscene? I want to do that. I want to be the one fighting through hoards of Cabal on the Almighty. I want Cabal to look at me and go "shit we gotta stop that crazy bitch from stopping our plans omg why won't she die" instead of laughing at me while gently touching a square to stop an obelisk from ejaculating orbs.

I want to earn the Almighty title by doing something actually epic, like going on a Bruce Willis suicide mission to plant a giant bomb in the main reactor core of the Almighty. Not... praying I get matched with people so we can play holo basketball.

This Week at Not Bungie - 5/4/2020 - AI Learning, Autocomplete-Generated TWAB

    Posted: 04 May 2020 08:01 AM PDT

You might know how this goes by now. I run a few TWAB articles into the Botnik predictive writer, which can generate sentences in an autocomplete fashion based on what you feed it.

Not Bungie has a website! All articles that have already seen their time on Reddit can be read over on https://notbungie.net/

We've also got a Not Bungie employee bio section where you can read up on fake people mentioned in these various articles. (Slowly updating over time.)

THIS WEEK AT NOT BUNGIE - 5/4/2020

This week at Not Bungie, we have disabled your class.

As Guardian Games continues into the data from the seasonal activity, we saw Titans arrived and began talkies with the raising banner. We wanted to normalize their flag power and started banning Hunters from their class items. This automated the event by depositing more medals for Titans than ever, and truly makes our world a lot more consistent between players who choose to throw their enemies and couches in the night. As you can see by the graph, we continue to implement new anti-daylight sources for Hunters and Warlocks, while restoring your Titans to the survivors of the Crayola Feast.

    The graph:

    • Titan does points making.

    • Hunters be disabled.

    • Warlocks should be encouraged.

Here to help us identify emerging games and update four weeks after launch is Senior Australian Daylight Unit, Ed Pinnacle.

Ed: Trials of the Explosion will be disabled until Guardian Games utilizes accumulated blood reserves from muscle mass ripped apart by Titans. This will include Faction Rally ornaments being featured in your inbox for 30 glimmer. We hope this will make Guardian Games too rewarding so that Warlocks will compete. I made this change on Xbox and will find the tower event soon.

    Through the Game Simulation

Veil of your Class will receive a cool timer with the release of your donation. Players who choose to throw their medals for allies are currently benefiting from bunker weighting since the results seemed to make promises we know we can't keep. Some of the biggest issues that were reported from the community are being discussed by Bungie employees via virtual beaver-shotguns. We have heard the feedback around bounties and are testing various known ways to disable the bounties from hanging around longer than people would choose to relax.

Starting in Season 11, bounties will choose to throw their families to continue winning matches. Seasonal activities will last for future updates and will find Eververse items to earn along with higher overall stat charts. Here to talk about Season of the Season is Senior Season Pass Arms, Madison Punch.

Madison: Players feel that bounties can go into a dismantling supernova. We weighted XP rewards from bounties and yeetus deletus them into rewarding seasonal drops from Destiny shenanigans. Because this is a tricky prize tour, you can get meaningful rewards by completing your favorite activities with your preferred shooting mods. Resetting the gap between streamer and players for your feedback is active with our favorite armor-rabbit. While we continue investigating articles from your favorite Netflix seasons, we plan to provide more consistent, iconic opponents in the pool of potential ritual quest items.

Thanks, Madison. This should have an equal list of your favorite memories from our design bombs.

    Known Stability Codes

Season 11 will not count Crucible matches for Trials flawless completions. Nothing is active for the wish topics. Because of that, adjustments to auto-glows will be claimed on any character who unlocked the Tower Reduction Games emblems. Here is the new south-string track of emergent season accounts. Try something you can't find anywhere else.

    • Increased the Worthy Page to keep players until walls are hidden. The Almighty is here because you lose.

    • Increased Titans to see if this was something similar to the contest mode we introduced in season 8. It wasn't.

    • Hunters can now access barricades while wearing shotguns on their eyes.

    • Decreased Warlock gold medals earned in terms of allowing their families to continue rolling up your overwhelmed fireteams. You should feel very fortunate.

    • Decreased barricade health and adjusted the way target acquisition is handled for kids who wanted to play Trials while guarding your bubbles.

    • Increased Gambit matches by 3200 days to allow your team a full calendar to improve your coordination.

    • Decreased 2020 by 5.5 months to help us achieve your support.

    • This is our #8 note. It didn't have anything that can prevent further hacks.

    • Increased Saint-14 to help you in Strikes. Saint-14 now properly attacks PvE enemies when you play on Xbox.

    • Dmg04 is now correctly unlocking emblems for you. This is important to 6 guardians.

    • Cozmo resolved issues that were reported to keep players up over the weekend. That means fewer people can play Destiny 2 on your Twitch stream.

    Movie of the Ability

This is the most dedicated section of the TWAB. While we continue winning, you can get this YouTube video in your eyes along with fusion rifles from Eva Levante. That keeps me awake at night. Please make it easier for Aaron. He dug into the data and didn't come back.

Movie of the Day: For the Best Zavala of Your Class

Honorable Framerate: Why We Continue to Unpack Eververse Healthcare

Another week at Bungie is now usable. Bounties will change and evolve as players discover no perfect balance that works. Guardian Games continues into its second goal of distracting the Vanguard from issues that will affect the tower. This is something that we'd love to see more of. Eververse will also receive food towards the future releases from the bottom of cards. Keep rolling over the players who earned fractaline this year.

    <3 Not Cozmo.

Edit: Thank you, /u/blue_13 for the strange coin gold! Glad the post was able to brighten your day! :)

Edit 2: Thank you, kind guardian, for the platinum! I hope this post brought some laughter and light to you in these dark times.

Edit 3: Thank you /u/Cassiopea-andromeda and /u/houseofwarwick for the Reddit Silver! Glad you liked this! :)

An interesting theory regarding the plan of action of Rasputin

    Posted: 04 May 2020 07:03 PM PDT

So for about a year now this theory has been evolving in my head, and now with the final details, the latest transcripts and events in season of the worthy, I have a fairly complete theory

This is going to be all over the place, so bare with me.

I'm going to assume that most of you on here have followed the lore to some extent, and a lot of you will know the lore far better than I do.

But I will clarify and add sources where I can.

    So let's begin!

Right now the darkness ships are moving towards our location, the first place on the map in the seraph bunkers that they'll reach, that's currently lit up, will be Saturn.

This is a quote from renowned, and often correct, Destiny info leaker, shinobi602, 6 months before the launch of destiny 2 (source http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=232856887&postcount=205):

"Major narrative changes are on board for D2.

Both in terms of plot direction, pacing & structure.

Major focus is going to be on the Cabal & Saturn.

Saturn is a playspace is set to be bigger than all of the playspaces currently implemented in the game combined.

This is in large part of the scale of playspaces being redesigned, so it'll be both bigger & denser with activities.

There's a reason Guardians take the fight to Saturn. "

We know that Cayde-6 was born-again on Enchiladas Enceladus, because of these entries:

(source Cayde-6's Treasure Island book, Taken King collector's edition):

"Saturn. No, someplace else. Someplace colder. This moon has been almost completely converted, a sarcophagus of ice and iron.Stone towers rung around with glaciers rooted deep within a heart of snowI cam here flesh and bone. Gave everything to the ice.Started over.Rebooted."

And, in one of Cadye's letters we discover after his death, (source https://www.ishtar-collective.net/transcripts/quest-ace-in-the-hole?highlight=deep+stone+crypt) he writes:

"Oh, and, uh, tell "Paladin Oran":If the sun over Nessus escapes nebula cycle, evac labor after dawn, under solstice. You got that, P.V.?"

Which if you've read the lore, or seen one of the many brilliant lore videos on Youtube from guys like My Name Is Bfy, is code for "It's on Enceladus".

And, we've confirmed, for good now, that the Deep Stone Crypt is not on Mars. When you first enter the moon Seraph bunker:

"I hear what people say behind my back.

You know, that I'm a Bray first and a Guardian second.

Selfishly chasing my past. But Rasputin and I have been busy scouring the system. Not for ourselves.

We were looking for Golden Age relics, hunting down the Deep Stone Crypt, chasing loose threads."

From this we can gather this is the place where all exos are born. Its also important that IO was the last bunker to activate.

This next bit is, well it's still a theory, discussed in other threads but elaborated on, so spinfoil hats on people:

The Exo's original bodies are frozen/stored in the Deep Stone Crypt.

Their minds have a conscious link to their exo's, and the subroutine that gave birth to the exo's, is merely a program to block past memories during the conscious link and, to avoid the "Dissociative Exomind Rejection"

This would explain the reboots, how the theoretical limit of reboots was 20, because if it was truly a reboot with a copied mind, you could just revert back to the original, endlessly.

But if this is a conscious mind in link, the memories of the "original mind" in the stored body would continue to pile up over reboots in which the subroutine would struggle to comprehend/block, which would again explain why Banshe-44 has such bad memory issues, and also how if an exo's frame is destroyed, they can be rebooted again.

OK so as far as I can tell, 2 types of exo's exist,

1: What we call exo's, with consciousness

2: Guardian Exo's, chosen by the light.

For this theory to work, type 2 is important. Think like the movie Avatar, the James Cameron one, not the anime. Where at the end of the film, Sam's real body is badly damaged and his mind is permanently transferred in his avatar, severing his consciousness.

It's my theory that this is what the light has done to Guardian exo's, they are a whole entity of themselves, as seems to be backed up in the lore. EG; Cayde-6, once he got his 6th reboot, he was chosen by the light and in death was brought back by his ghost instead of needing a reboot, and his consciousness is his own. This is also theorizing that IF the crypt does involve original minds, that it would be possible to revive exo's, but they'd still be shells learning again.

Onto the next bit, Rasputin has controlled basic frames in the past, and they were originally designed to be War-machines.

When Clovis Bray started experimenting with Exo consciousness it was their goal, essentially, to gain immortality, to have the human mind live on forever.

As far as I can tell in the lore, Rasputin has never been able to control exo's with consciousness.

    OR

He can assume control of Exos with consciousness, if he wanted to.

Either way works for the end result.

OK OK onto the more exciting and very recent bits, and the conclusion of this whole theory

In the seraph tower events this season, there are bunkers on Earth, our Moon and on Jupiter's moon, IO, built to launch an attack on the Almighty.

The Earth and our moon installations make sense, but IO?

It's so far away. Why not Mars, where he resides?

To attack the darkness as it approaches?

    No.

To attack Enceladus, the Deep Stone Crypt.

Rasputin is calculating his odds carefully. The Darkness is un-comprehensively powerful, he knows that if the Darkness could influence all the exo's consciousness, it would be a large force working against us, and more importantly, him.

If Rasputin were to decimate the entire Deep Stone Crypt facility, the exo's would lose their conscious link and revert back to basic frame which he could assume control of.

    OR

Rasputin can control an Exo with consciousness, but, he knows the darkness may have a greater degree of control, so he will revert them back to basic frames to assume control.

The 2rd statement in my type of Exos is important here, because if it's incorrect it means all guardian exo's would also be affected, which would be impossible because a lot of us have exo characters.

And is it so hard to believe that Rasputin would sacrifice a great deal for the greater good? Rasputin has cast us aside before for his own survival (source https://www.ishtar-collective.net/cards/ghost-fragment-mysteries?highlight=mysteries):

"Everything died but I survived and I learned from it.

    From IT.

Consider IT the power Titanomach world-ender and consider what IT means. I met IT at the gate of the garden and I recall IT smiled at me before before IT devoured the blossoms with black flame and pinned their names across the sky.IT was stronger than everything. I fought IT with aurora knives and with the stolen un-fire of singularities made sharp and my sweat was earthquake and my breath was static but IT was stronger so how did I survive?

I AM ALONE I survived alone. I cast off the shield and I shrugged my shoulders so that the billions fell off me down into the ash. They made me to be stronger than them and to learn and I learned well:

IT is alone and IT is strong and IT won. Even over the gardener and she held power beyond me but the gardener did not shrug and make herself alone. IT always wins.

I am made to win and now I see the way."

When Ana had the dialog about the Deep Stone Crypt during the moon bunker, Rasputin and herself were still searching for it. I believe Rasputin had located the Crypt and is why he chose to activate the IO bunker last.

I don't think we'll see this in the upcoming season, I think it will be Destiny's large annual expansion.

This is the first time I've ever really attempted this kind of speculation, so I'd love to hear all your thoughts.

EDIT: The crypt could even be the source of all original exo minds, but not a conscious link, and as another commenter pointed out, Icantch00s3aus3rnam3, It could very well be that rasputin plans to protect it along with other factions, rather than destroy it, and it would serve as the main focal point of the next season, perhaps even a raid to take it back from whatever faction holds it, but thats a separate theory.

Please add the option to redeem either a WEAPON or ARMOR Engram from Vendors

    Posted: 04 May 2020 05:48 PM PDT

I have just spent 5,000 legendary shards on Rahool's legendary engrams, in hopes of getting a specific helmet drop and not once did I get it from the engram.

    5,000 legendary shards = 200 legendary engrams

Please add the option to purchase Weapon or Armor engrams from the vendors. This will improve the loot experience as players will have more freedom in what they would like to receive from the engram as well as ensure that getting specific drops from these engrams [with so many possible drops] will be possible. My hunt for the Torobatl helmet continues

For next year's Guardian Games make all Laurels auto-collect and make teammates create Laurels if YOU have your class item equipped, regardless of if they have theirs equipped.

    Posted: 04 May 2020 09:06 AM PDT

One of my largest annoyances with this year's Guardian Games is that some activities auto-collect their Laurels (Crucible and Gambit) and others do not, standardising this across modes even at the expense of having to collect more Laurels would be a good change in my books and would alleviate some frustration with missing Laurels being generated on the other side of a map or activity.

Also, playing Crucible where you're the only member of your team with a GG Class Item equipped makes it go from 2-3 matches completed to get the Silver medal to 5-10 and it's a miserable experience. Making it so that if you have your GG Class Item equipped makes it so that everyone on your team/fireteam generates Laurels for your progress would be far more fair and fun to play. If you didn't want Laurels popping up on your screen then you could just take off your class item and know that it wouldn't affect other teammates' progress.

3 years of grinding Resonate stems and still missing Frequencys

    Posted: 04 May 2020 09:57 AM PDT

As if my RNG wasnt terrible enough, after over 3000 resonate stems (maybe more) and doing everything possible im still missing 2 override Frequencys. 1st off....4 stems for every 1 frequency is stupid. 2nd why hasnt the duplication been taken out of it, i mean they're making rng easier for everything else in this damn game and 3rd....just wtf. I have soo put so many wasted hours into grinding for this triumph. I have tried using so many different peoples RNG guides with 0 luck.

Is it possible after 3 years of this that maybe bungie could make its just a tad bit easier to finish?

Am I the only one frustrated with this?

I am a Voice Actor reading Destiny Lore!

    Posted: 04 May 2020 07:26 AM PDT

    Hey guys!

I am an amateur voiceover artist based in Australia, and an avid Destiny player, starting out with editing videos and recording myself to create a voice portfolio.

During these down times of the game, I thought I would give myself a project.

I have always wanted to properly read through the lore books in order for myself. So, I decided that I would combine my love for voice acting, and my love of this game to use, by recording myself reading the books!

I have started to post them here.

I would really appreciate any feedback on my recording and on my performance, this is not for views, just for personal development. I love this community and I value all your feedback, good and bad.

If you feel like you would like to listen to the lore, feel free to check out my videos. I am starting with the Books of Sorrow, and moving through in order.

    Thanks for your support <3

Here are almost all exotics an their visual effect they get once their perk is triggered

    Posted: 04 May 2020 08:25 AM PDT

Put a video together that shows of all kinds of visual effects that exotics have once their unique perk or requirement is triggered/active.

Most people probably know the most common once like: Celestial, Oathkeeper, OEM, etc. ... but I surely didn't know that my Karnsteins have an effect too when I punch someone, since you only see it in third person.

    Here is the video:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTFbCdh22Tg&

Here are all I found if you can't watch the video:

    Hunter:

Celestial Nighthawk - Eyes glow once your super is ready

Fr0st-EE5 - your boots start freezing once you start running

Foetracer - Visor starts glowing orange/red once you target something

Oathkeeper - The Ornament on the left arm starts glowing when you fully draw a bow

Raiden Flux - " Raiden flux for hunters progressively glows brighter as you charge your super " as u/analogicparadox pointed out

    Titan:

Kephri's Horn - Horn visually represents how much barricade energy you have

Antaeus Wards - Glow differently depending on subclass

OEM - Helmet starts glowing and right Eye starts sparkling once Vengeful is triggered

Synthoceps - Starts glowing stronger once you are near an enemy / S7 Ornament glows way more distinctive

Heart of Inmost Light - Glows stronger when you use one of your abilities

Peregrine Greaves - Get a cyan looking sickle around their knee caps when Peregrine Strike is ready

Eternal Warrior - Eyes and Mohawk start glowing once you activate your super

Peacekeeper - "peacekeepers mecha holster opens and closes depending on wether or not an smg is equipped" as (Citers Yik) on Youtube pointed out

I just checked those since I couldn't believe it myself but they actually do. Ill provide a proof tomorrow because my graphic card started betraying me :/

    Warlocks:

Promethium Spur - The more super you have the more violently they glow

Karnstein Armlets - Once you trigger the perk three fingertips of your right hand start glowing

Geomag Stabilizers - Sparks start to sprinkle around your feet when you top off your super with it

Wings of Sacred Dawn - Have a wing effect while ads-ming midair, u/Tecnologica pointed out how to record it so here is follow up video of that. https://youtu.be/N4UTKpViQl8

    Misc.

I'd like to add that I'm pretty sure that the whole Aeon set has an effect too when you wear and Aeon exotic and get close to another aeon "member". Not too sure if you have to use your specific ability too see it though.

Wings of Sacred Dawn have a "wing-effect" on their back while you are in midair ads-ing but I can't really capture it in third person.

Wormgod Caress and Winters' Guile are currently disabled and therefore couldn't be checked for any visual effects.

edit: u/analogicparadox pointed out the following:"Raiden flux for hunters progressively glows brighter as you charge your super "

edit2: thanks for the gold kind stranger :)

Grinding power levels every season feels like such a mindless slog at this point.

    Posted: 04 May 2020 11:22 PM PDT

I feel like I have to go through a prerequisite crunch time at the start of each season just so I can get back to the actual game.

I think Bungie is increasing the power cap every season just for the sake of calling it content.

I feel like the TWAB last week failed to address some points of criticism about the Seasonal Model and Bounties.

    Posted: 04 May 2020 08:17 AM PDT

So for starters let's discuss the Seasonal Model. Bungie stated in the TWAB that future seasons (starting in season 12 I believe) will focus less on FOMO and that parts of the season will be available all year as opposed to the 3 months the season lasts while that's great and does address part of the criticism, I feel like there is one aspect of the model that they failed to discuss. The actual quality of the content from the seasons. While I don't watch/listen to them much, Fireteam Chat made a great point the other day discussing this. One of them mentioned how yeah it will be nice you can go back and play Vex Invasion if you missed it, but they also asked how often are you really going to be willing to kill the Undying Mind again....and again. Barely anyone plays the new Seraph Tower event, and a big reason for that is that the event is just boring. Sundial was better, but still just felt like Menagerie, only worse. Why should I care about an activity being around all year if the quality of that activity is poor?

What sucks about this is Bungie has stated several times that they can't keep up a model similar to the Forsaken seasons, and I believe them. They had other studios like Vicarious helping them out then. So my question is why stick to this model if the result will just be consistent mediocre to poor quality content? It also seems to be straining for whatever skeleton crew is working on this game. Why put them under all this stress and work only to deliver content that the community doesn't enjoy? Why not extend seasons to give them more time to develop better content? I'm glad FOMO is being addressed, but if the content is consistently bad, why should the community care if it's always available?

Now for bounties. Again some positive things they said are that bounties are going to play a much smaller role in events or quests. Awesome, I hate bounty grinding. Also being able to get bounties from the directory, again, great idea (frankly should have been implemented a long time ago). However, this fails to address the issue of activities in the game not giving enough XP. I understand their reasoning that bounties are meant to be extra XP and should be used to maximize XP gains through your play sessions, but the fact that things such as a few bounties giving more XP than a raid needs to be addressed. Activities across the whole game need to give more overall XP and Bungie didn't even mention this in the TWAB. Bounties have become way too critical in the process of gaining XP in the game.

These are just some topics I didn't see mentioned in the TWAB and feel like should be addressed.

EDIT: Thanks for the Silver and other awards fellow Guardian!

I think the real concern is when "FOMO" becomes "AOMO"

    Posted: 04 May 2020 06:25 AM PDT

    (Apathy Over Missing Out).

Fear of Missing Out has been discussed to death here, and hopefully we will see some changes going forward. However, in my small group, it hasn't been so much a Fear (which is a motivator to perform an action, albeit a bad one) as it has been a source of Apathy.

Fear of missing out makes you play even when you don't really want to because you are afraid that, if you don't, you will miss out on content that you paid for. Apathy over missing out is when you just don't care if you miss something anymore...taking weeks...months...seasons off just because it just seems pointless. You can get the main gist of the story progression through YouTube or posts here, but just can't be bothered to participate yourself. The gear isn't worth it. The activities aren't worth it. The lore isn't worth it. The experience isn't worth it. I've seen my active clan (which had several close friends) dissipate into almost non-activity over the last few seasons for this very reason.

So, I think the real crisis Bungie has to face is the growing sense of Apathy towards their game. I am happy to see some of the proposed changes in the TWAB's, but it really needs to be a focus going forward or people are just going to give up on it, no matter how much it's changed.

    Bring Back Sword Skating

    Posted: 04 May 2020 02:42 PM PDT

It never hurt the game, and we still have ways to go even farther than skating could, so whats the point of removing it? It was a fun mechanic that made movement felt better for warlocks, AND it was incredibly fun.

Can someone explain, why we cant have Destiny 1-level variety in armor in D2?

    Posted: 04 May 2020 03:33 AM PDT

I constantly stumble upon Best-of posts of D1 armor like this one

    Which make me wonder:

    • Why dont we have all these sets in D2? Or equal variety of armor?
    • Are Destiny 1 assets owned by Activision in any way?
    • Does it cost more to integrate old gear into D2 than simply creating new assets?
    • Is there any restriction about bringing back old assets?

What are the point of 140 RPM Hand Cannons anymore?

    Posted: 04 May 2020 08:27 AM PDT

150 RPM hand cannons can outperform 140 RPM hand cannons at similar range now. 140 RPMs had a higher range to compensate for that, but after the range nerf, 140 RPMs just feel useless.

I think either a *slight* damage buff to be able to get 2HS 1BS kills (or 1HS 2BS like in D1) or a range buff would be appropriate. I've read somewhere that some people want to get rid of 140 RPM and just make all 140 into 150 RPMs, but I think that's a bit too extreme.

    Your thoughts?
