This week at Bungie, something unexpected happened on the way to the Moon Bunker.

Many of you have been chasing a Lie. Last week, you began your hunt with Ana, successfully defending Seraph Towers in the Winding Cove, Anchor of Light, and the Rupture (or watched as your fellow Guardians carried the weight…). You burned through a thousand enemies with your trusty Shotgun. Sadly, your quest for answers came to a halt on Sunday evening, all thanks to a faulty door on the Moon's bunker.

Earlier this morning, Destiny 2 Hotfix 2.8.1.3 was released, unblocking your journey in finding truth behind The Lie. While we hate to see a bug ship, we're excited to right the ship as quickly as possible.

Now, we look to what comes next. Season of the Worthy is winding down, which means it's time for a round of previews from the team. This week, we're hyper focused on Legendary Engrams and weapon tuning.

    Decrypting the Future

Last week, we did a deep dive on how loot will be evolving Season over Season. With the upcoming addition of a Max Power Level to your gear, players have been asking how acquisition methods will be changing. We have a breakdown from the Destiny Dev Team on how we're keeping the items you earn from Legendary Engrams and core activities relevant during a given Season.

Today we're going to talk about some changes that are coming in Season 11 to the way the world loot pool works. Because the world pool serves as a baseline of legendary gear that can be earned across different activities, we want to update and refresh it seasonally with meta relevant weapons, some of which were previously exclusive to specific activities like Gambit or Crucible.

This shared pool can also be unwieldy -- if you're looking for a specific roll of a specific weapon, a pool too large can make it statistically challenging to find, much less with the roll you want. Starting in Season 11, it will be curated both for relevance and overall size, to strike a balance between number of rewards and the chance to get a sought-after drop. Every season gear from previous seasons will be added, and any gear that would no longer have a Max Power Level greater than or equal to the current Season cap will be cycled out to ensure that drops are Power relevant in the current Season.

The World Pool for Season 11 will consist of the following weapons:

    • Uriel's Gift
    • Elatha FR4
    • The Old Fashioned
    • Mos Epoch III
    • Hawthorne's Field-Forged Shotgun
    • Last Hope
    • Timelines' Vertex
    • Interference VI
    • Dire Promise
    • True Prophecy
    • Jian 7 Rifle
    • Enigma's Draw
    • Distant Tumulus
    • Escape Velocity
    • Honor's Edge
    • Gnawing Hunger
    • Arsenic Bite-4b
    • Main Ingredient
    • Outrageous Fortune
    • Truthteller
    • Nature of the Beast
    • Last Perdition
    • Bad Omens
    • Night Watch
    • Toil and Trouble
    • Wishbringer
    • Last Dance
    • Lonesome
    • Long Shadow
    • Steel Sybil Z-14

If you still need a weapon or weapon roll from the current Vanguard, Crucible, or Gambit playlists that isn't on that list, go grab it now!

    Lock and Reload

Alongside the changes to the World Loot Pool, we have some changes coming to Destiny 2's Sandbox. This week, we'll be focused on weapons – specifically perk tuning. Here's a quick breakdown from the team on what to expect:

    Reload Perk Updates

We've observed that players lean towards picking perks that increase their damage (e.g. Kill Clip) or reduce weapon downtime (e.g. Outlaw).

The damage perks were adjusted quite a while back, but reload perks still don't feel like choices. This tuning pass aims to keep them feeling powerful without being so dominant that no other choices seem viable.

First, some information on the stats that impact reload:

    • Reload Stat: 0-100, and maps onto an archetype-specific reload animation speed.
    • Reload Duration Scale: Most reload perks also apply a small multiplier to the reload animation, so that if reload stat is capped, you still see a small speed bump.
    • Reload Empty Duration Scale: As above, but only applies if the magazine is empty.

Note that because most weapons have fairly high reload stats, decreasing a reload stat bonus from +100 to +50 will still max out the reload stat most of the time, and so doesn't slow down the actual reload as much as it seems.

The following perks that alter these reload stats are being updated:

    • Outlaw – Slowed this down a little bit.

      • Reload stat from +100 to +50.
      • Reload Duration Scale from 0.8 to 0.9.
    • Feeding Frenzy – This was strictly better than Outlaw, so we're changing functionality to be based on number of rapid kills.

      • Functionality changed to increase reload speed based on number of rapid kills, up to 5.
      • With 2 kills, reload speed is equal to updated Outlaw.
      • With 3+ kills, is faster than Outlaw.
      • With 4+ kills, is the fastest reload in the game (except Alloy Mag).
      • Max possible reload duration scale from 0.83 to 0.8.
      • Max possible reload stat unchanged at +100.
    • Rapid Hit – Gave a huge amount of reload and stability for very little work, front-loaded onto the first precision hit. We have updated it so that it still feels good, but isn't quite as powerful.

      • Adjusted stacking bonus to give less benefit for the first hit and more with subsequent hits.
      • Max possible reload stat from +100 to +60.
      • Max possible reload duration scale from 0.8 to 0.925.
      • Max possible stability stat from +50 to +25.
    • Drop Mag – Situationally really powerful without a massive drawback, as good as a perk, but in a magazine column.

      • Reload duration scale from 0.85 to 0.9 (just brings it in line with Outlaw).
    • Field Prep – Unchanged, but for reference:

      • Reload stat +50.
      • Reload duration scale 0.8.
    • Alloy Mag – Unchanged, but for reference:

      • Reload empty duration scale 0.6666.

Additionally, we're fixing an issue where perks that grant partial weapon ammo did not respect shot count for burst weapons. This means that these perks will now work correctly on Pulse Rifles, Fusion Rifles, and Burst Sidearms, so these perks will be more common on those weapon archetypes in the future:

    • Slideways
    • Slideshot
    • Ambitious Assassin
    • Subsistence
    • Overflow
    • Lead from Gold
    • Clown Cartridge

    General Perk Retuning

With opening up space by adjusting reload perks, we also retuned some other, underused perks, based on our internal testing and perk popularity and effectiveness data from our internal analytics.

    • Dynamic Sway Reduction -- Adds 10 Stability over time in addition to accuracy (this is way more powerful than it sounds).

      • Reduced reticle movement from Stability should now tell players this is working.
    • Pulse Monitor -- Take critical damage and you can quickly switch to your now-fully loaded Shotgun!

      • Reload amount from 0.35 to 1.0.
      • +50 Handling.
      • 5% faster swap speed.
      • This works on stowed weapons too, which was already the case but makes it a lot more useful.
    • Hipfire Grip -- Now helps you hit shots closer to ADS ranges, still doesn't affect damage dropoff or magnetism.

      • 1.2x aim assist falloff.
      • +15 aim assist.
      • +1.7 degrees precision hip fire angle threshold.
        • By default, when hip-firing a weapon, the center of your reticle must be over a target in order to get a crit, otherwise aim assist will give you a body shot. This change gives you a little leniency, so if the center of your reticle is not directly over a target you will still get the crit if you're within this angle.
        • Has no effect on Sniper Rifles.
    • Sneak Bow -- Actually makes you sneaky now. Stealth buff!

      • Now doesn't ping radar when shooting.

    New Perks

Next Season, we'll have new perks rolling exclusively on the Season of [REDACTED] weapons. Additionally, Iron Banner will be receiving two new perks on two reprised weapons. In future Seasons, these perks will begin to roll on other weapons.

While we don't want to spoil the fun of discovering and testing new perks, we will leave you with the names of upcoming Iron Banner perks: Iron Grip and Iron Gaze. We are excited to see the community break these perks down when the new Season begins.

    Upcoming Archetype Buffs

Next Season, we're taking a quick pass on a few weapon archetypes that have been underperforming.

    • Slug Shotguns are underused in PvE, because they require crits to maximize damage, and didn't reward that precision with higher damage per second.

      • Slug Shotgun PvE Damage + 30%.
    • High-Impact Pulse Rifles are underused in Crucible. While they have a very fast optimal TTK, that TTK was very hard to achieve, so we decided to soften that a little.

      • High-Impact Pulse Rifle damage per bullet from 21 to 22. This changes it from 6 crits to 5 crits/1 body to kill a Guardian in PvP at most Resilience values.
    • In analytics we see Bows are underused in challenging content, and locally we've observed that it feels terrible when a Bow leaves a red bar enemy at low health.

      • Bow PvE damage VS minors + 10%.

    Future Archetype Updates

We've been evaluating feedback and our analytics data, and while we're not done yet, we wanted to touch on three community pain points. Our current goal is to touch on these in Season 12, but we'll be sure to let you know if plans change.

    • Sniper Rifles – Community feedback has been that Revoker and Beloved dominate, and looking at analytics they account for 86% of Sniper Rifle usage in the Crucible – and if we include other low-zoom Sniper Rifles, the number gets even higher.

      • We're specifically looking at how zoom translates into ease-of-use for Sniper Rifles. We're investigating changes that make choosing a Sniper Rifle zoom more of an interesting choice.
    • Hand Cannons – We're evaluating the Hand Cannon subfamilies.

      • As an example, we're breaking out Aggressive Hand Cannons to let us tune their range independently of the others.
    • Adaptive Auto Rifles – Auto Rifles in general are highly represented in Crucible, but generally feel balanced. Adaptive Auto Rifles are a little higher, so we're looking at them.

      • We're not rolling back the Season 10 buff, but we're adjusting the tuning a little to give other Auto Rifle subfamilies a chance to shine.

Moving forward, we plan to make more regular weapon balance changes, we'll have more to share on cadence and scope later.

Bungie, allow me to Revoke your Beloved notions on sniper zoom

    Posted: 21 May 2020 07:53 PM PDT

I want to cast a retort to this part of the TWAB:

Sniper Rifles – Community feedback has been that Revoker and Beloved dominate, and looking at analytics they account for 86% of Sniper Rifle usage in the Crucible – and if we include other low-zoom Sniper Rifles, the number gets even higher.

We're specifically looking at how zoom translates into ease-of-use for Sniper Rifles. We're investigating changes that make choosing a Sniper Rifle zoom more of an interesting choice.

Let me say this as clearly as I can:

    YOUR. MAPS. ARE. SMALL.

There isn't a single map in the crucible where additional zoom is wanted or needed. The only reason I use medium zoom scopes on certain guns is because they need all the range they can get (looking at you, Hard Truths). Maybe if I was a slack-jawed casual with a tiny TV on the far side of the room I would want zoom, but I'm not so I don't. I have a monitor that sits directly in front of me and I can aim across the maps with no zoom just fine.

You simply cannot make higher-than-minimum zoom compelling unless you're going to let us shoot each other at ranges that justify it. You know what games accomplish this? Battlefield 4 and PUBG make high zoom desirable. Why? Because both games let you snipe from ranges where any non-sniper weapon is simply unable to retaliate in any capacity at all.

Either make bigger maps with longer sightlines where zoom is actually useful, or stop making sniper rifles with ridiculously unnecessary zoom, but don't tell us you need to launch an investigation to figure out why nobody is interested in ruining their FOV every time they want to try to snap a headshot.

Please don't sunset the class specific Menagerie swords

    Posted: 21 May 2020 02:51 PM PDT

With sunsetting just around the corner, there will be a significant reduction in swords available to use in end game content. The Menagerie swords are the only class specific weapons in the game, and are incredibly unique being the only different archetypes of swords in the game. I think they should have the exotic treatment of not being sunset unless new versions of them are released.

    Datamining ruined The Lie quest

    Posted: 21 May 2020 11:17 AM PDT

Despite it (datamining) being a hype generator, the title says it all.

That is just wery wrong. The plot was strong, and the plot twist was really cool. And almost everything important about it was put to eceryone's sight by dataminers.

Felwinter’s Lie is only slightly better than any other meta shotgun that’s been getting used.

    Posted: 21 May 2020 11:31 AM PDT

It's slightly more consistent because of shot package. That's it. This isn't the "Felwinter's Reach" of D1. Not even close. It consistently kills at 7-8 meters which is exactly what god rolled Astral Horizons and Mindbender's do.

This weapon being released is simply a balancing act so that ALL players can have a viable shotgun for the crucible without the mindless grinding some of us have done for godrolled versions of other shotguns.

So before you start crying that this weapon is "broken", check yourself. It's just another good shotgun. There might be an uptick in use since it's new, but that doesn't mean it's the best or needs to get "nErFeD".

    Edit: Clarity.

The Lie hotfix was done pretty quickly, actually

    Posted: 21 May 2020 05:25 AM PDT

Now, this is a problem that shouldn't have existed in the first place and Bungie deserve a lot of criticism for the Season of the Worthy. But I'd like to say thanks to those who was on the forefront of fixing this.

I imagine it was a pretty intense couple of days: identifying the issue, fixing it, coordinating efforts to pack it up in the hotfix, send it for approval and prepare servers for the update, all done in a span of essentially two or three days, while working from home.

So yeah, good job and kudos to those who've worked on this.

Edit: if it turns out the quest is still broken or something else in the game broke afterwards, please don't @ me.

At some point, Bungie, you have to acknowledge that your vision for this game is alienating a lot of the people that play it

    Posted: 21 May 2020 08:20 PM PDT

Year 3 of Destiny 2 really hasn't been great and now you're capping it off with possibly the most wildly unpopular decision in the franchise's history in gear sun-setting. Year 3 has seen us go from 3 raids a year down to 1, seasonal content is now disposable and much, much lower in quality, and to top it off now our gear will be too. Two years of content is about to become largely irrelevant and frankly that content has been doing a lot of work to prop up the new seasonal model since $10 worth of content doesn't hold my attention for 3 months, I'm lucky if it lasts 3 weeks.

Year 3 has been take, take, take with no give from you whatsoever. So, I think it would be a really good idea to back off from your current vision for this game until you can come up with some way of making up for everything you've taken away. Because Destiny 2 in Year 4 looks to be a bloody small game compared to now and I'm just not interested in a Destiny 2 without the breadth and depth it currently has.

Half of Next Season's Loot Pool will be Sunsetting 3 Months Later, in September 2020

    Posted: 21 May 2020 03:21 PM PDT

Early this September, at the start of Season 12 , a majority of older weapons will be "Sunset" - meaning we won't be able to infuse them to endgame Power Levels, and therefore they will likely not be viable in endgame content.

In the May 21st TWAB, Bungie announced that it was restricting the "World" loot pool to a select group of 30 Legendary weapons. I was curious as to how many of those weapons would be immediately rendered moot in endgame content this fall, when Sunsetting begins.

The Outcome: 50% of the weapons in Season 11's Loot Pool will be Sunset this upcoming September, when Season 12 begins.

Of the remaining weapons, 20% will be Sunset in December 2020 and 30% will be Sunset in March 2020.

Here is the list of weapons, and when they are going to be Sunset, per Light.gg:

    • Uriel's Gift - Released in season 1, Reissued in season 9 - Will be Sunset December 2020
    • Elatha FR4 - Released in season 2, Reissued in season 9 - Will be Sunset December 2020
    • The Old Fashioned - Released in season 1, Reissued in season 9 - Will be Sunset December 2020
    • Mos Epoch III - Released in season 1, Reissued in season 9 - Will be Sunset December 2020
    • Hawthorne's Field-Forged Shotgun - Released in season 1, Reissued in season 9 - Will be Sunset December 2020
    • Last Hope - Released in season 1, Reissued in season 9 - Will be Sunset December 2020
    • Timelines' Vertex - Released in season 1, Reissued in season 10 - Will be Sunset March 2021
    • Interference VI - Released in season 2, Reissued in season 10 - Will be Sunset March 2021
    • Dire Promise - Released in season 1, Reissued in season 10 - Will be Sunset March 2021
    • True Prophecy - Released in season 1, Reissued in season 10 - Will be Sunset March 2021
    • Jian 7 Rifle - Released in season 3, Reissued in season 10 - Will be Sunset March 2021
    • Enigma's Draw - Released in season 1, Reissued in season 10 - Will be Sunset March 2021
    • Distant Tumulus - Released in season 2, Reissued in season 10 - Will be Sunset March 2021
    • Escape Velocity - Released in season 1, Reissued in season 10 - Will be Sunset March 2021
    • Honor's Edge - Released in season 1, Reissued in season 10 - Will be Sunset March 2021
    • Gnawing Hunger - Released in season 6 - Will be Sunset September 2020
    • Arsenic Bite-4b - Released in season 4 - Will be Sunset September 2020
    • Main Ingredient - Released in season 1, Reissued in season 4 - Will be Sunset September 2020
    • Outrageous Fortune - Released in season 4 - Will be Sunset September 2020
    • Truthteller - Released in season 1 - Will be Sunset September 2020
    • Nature of the Beast - Released in season 2 - Will be Sunset September 2020
    • Last Perdition - Released in season 1, Reissued in season 6- Will be Sunset September 2020
    • Bad Omens - Released in season 4 - Will be Sunset September 2020
    • Night Watch - Released in season 6 - Will be Sunset September 2020
    • Toil and Trouble - Released in season 4 - Will be Sunset September 2020
    • Wishbringer - Released in season 3, Reissued in season 5 - Will be Sunset September 2020
    • Last Dance - Released in season 1, Reissued in season 4 - Will be Sunset September 2020
    • Lonesome - Released in season 6 - Will be Sunset September 2020
    • Long Shadow - Released in season 4 - Will be Sunset September 2020
    • Steel Sybil Z-14 - Released in season 1, Reissued in season 4 - Will be Sunset September 2020

Obviously this begs the question - why would anyone grind for "god rolls" for the weapons that are being phased out this fall?

A quote from a Bungie Weekly Update prior to Dark Below Expansion

    Posted: 21 May 2020 05:39 PM PDT

In the months to come, your quest to become more powerful will have more avenues that lead to satisfaction. The last thing we wanted was for you to look at your favorite gun or helmet and decide that it had become obsolete. Since the reveal, we've read a lot of ideas for how this could have been done better. Your feedback is clear: The time you have invested in your stuff should be respected.

History does in fact, repeat itself. Get ready to regrind for those weapons you've spent the last 2 years grinding for. Unless they introduce a consumable to bring sunset weapons/armor to current power level.

Bungie, can you do a TWAB on the endgame? Were you satisfied with it this year and/or what do you plan on doing to it next year?

    Posted: 21 May 2020 07:21 AM PDT

I thought the endgame got really stale this year. Last year, the endgame kept expanding and bungie said it got way too bloated and big. Is this year what they were hoping for in that regard? If not, what do they plan on doing next year?

The ability to leave fireteams without leaving the world would be a great quality of life change, it’d definitely help with coordinating big teams for things like Seraph Towers and Escalation Protocol etc.

What's your opinion on this idea?

Hey Bungie, the Felwinter story is beautiful. Thanks, and well done.

    Posted: 21 May 2020 03:48 PM PDT

Spoilers for the quest below! Kinda rambly, but hey.

This was beautiful. A classic tragedy, given a Destiny twist.

A father feeling betrayed when the son did nothing wrong, acting out, destroying a relationship, realizing only too late that in their ignorance and selfishness and stubbornness they cost themselves a relationship they'd treasured, fractured beyond repair, and lost their son forever.

And what we learned about the Iron Lords and SIVA! It was bait. In his jealousy and anger, Rasputin murdered Felwinter and, by extension, all who went with him. The Iron Lords did not fall as a result of their avarice or greed or lust for power, but rather, they were deceived by Rasputin because of his own negativity and jealousy.

"Felwinter's Lie," then, is not a lie that he told. It's a lie he fell for, a lie that killed him. His fate was determined by Rasputin's lie, his story forever defined by it, his story forever inseparable from it. He was not the deceiver, but the deceived.

We also know Rasputin knew his mistake as soon as it was made. In classic fashion, only too late did he realize what he'd done. So now he honors his son, dead by his own hand, as best he can: what tiny parts of him he could recover, kept in a crypt near and dear to his almost-literal heart. And we, having proved ourselves, earned the right to carry on a part of the son's legacy. Giving us that gun was deeply meaningful to Rasputin, he's clearly on our - The Guardian's - side now.

And for anyone screaming "retcon," hell no: us only knowing part of the story, and learning more later, is not the same as the story changing.

So Bungie: this was beautiful. The depth and emotion was incredible. Thanks.

We're 2 1/2 weeks from next season and I still can't see the Almighty from the Tower

    Posted: 21 May 2020 05:36 PM PDT

Given that it's fucking huge... Like comparable to the size of a planet HUGE shouldn't we start to see it by now?

Is it just going to unceremoniously just boop into existence over the Tower skybox?

I started the day in no clan on mars, ended the day with 1k voices on my first raid.

I started the day playing escalation protocol to try and get the wayfarer title, next thing i know a guy was tagging along helping me out. I joined his clan and did my first ever Garden of Salvation and Last Wish, and on my first of two chests i got the 1k voices!

If a weapon is re-introduced, we should be able to infuse our old versions of that weapon with the new drops.

    Posted: 21 May 2020 12:52 PM PDT

    Title.

This remedies the problem of wasting time on RNG to get a god roll, along with weapons being broken for too long and requiring nerfs. If a weapon is too good, it isn't brought back and it loses relevance in endgame content. However, if Bungie decides to bring a weapon back, people can still use their old rolls on that weapon.

After earning Conqueror, if I am ever going to run GMs next season I NEED more exotic choices besides Eriana's Vow.

    Posted: 21 May 2020 05:39 AM PDT

There are a # of edits at the bottom

For ALL 6 of my grandmaster runs I used Eriana's Vow, timed payload HC, and either a sword or lmg. I never once varied my loadout, except for reserve perks or the choice between unstoppable and overload.

Is it because Eriana's is OP? Wrong! There just simply isn't any weapon that can compete with how powerful the vow feels this season due to the selection of champ weapons; however I do expect next season to have more range weapons making Eriana's slightly less appealing.

With the TWAB on 5/14/20; if Bungie truly wants my fireteam to have a "debate" about what to bring into a GM run and accept weapon sunsetting, then more exotics NEED champion counters. This is so I'm not stuck using Eriana's every season and those who missed out aren't at a disadvantage.(Remember the Symmetry "bug"??)

The discussion before a GM run should sound like this:

"What exotic weapons are we bringing and how does it affect our builds?"

    NOT

"We're all bringing Eriana's, what does that leave us with?"

With that said, I have a few examples/suggestions of how exotic weapons with champion counters would affect my builds or playstyle (limiting to Y3 for examples).

So let's start with the most recent one: Heir-Apparent w/ Anti-Barrier

I would've equipped this during the Warden of Nothing strike, as the arc-overshield would hopefully prevent the barrier hobgoblins from one-shotting and doubled as an extra layer of protection in the boss room (solar blast mechanic); potentially eliminating the need for a "cheese" spot. Now, maybe I run Trophy Hunter w/ vorpal weapon and my demolitionist Breachlight w/ overload rounds OR do I use my Tranquility with deep mag size and firing line to pair with Recluse one last time?

If Fourth Horseman had overload rounds, I wouldn't have felt obligated to run a sword during Exodus Crash and maybe could have used Pyroclastic Flow and osmosis on Buzzard to run the rainbow more effectively (though not necessary on Exodus).

If Bastion had anti-barrier I would've taken more risks and gone for big hunter invis plays to stun a champ before they even knew what hit them. Maybe taken even more risks on Arms Dealer and take an energy sniper as well to melt the boss on the elevator faster and challenge my team.

If Tommy's Matchbook had overload rounds my friend who is a warlock main could try out a devour build instead of instant locking onto Phoenix + Well. I could also try to use Wormhusk instead of Sixth Coyote every run.

Levi's Breath could have potential but I believe it only needs a slight buff to either reserves or maybe increased damage on initial stun. Divinity is great on Master, but the bug w/ Eriana's crushes its GM value. Using Devil's Ruin this season also felt like a handicap. Either I run double primary w/ no range to help with barriers, or use any special and have only 2 AB rounds when generally 3 was the safer bet for most NFs.

Obviously not all exotics need this treatment (Xeno, Anarchy, Whisper, 1K, IB etc.) but to leave most without champion stunning capability, GM is gonna be real boring next season knowing my strategy or loadout change will only reflect the artifact. If sunsetting isn't touching exotics, then at least let me experiment with more of them during the endgame without hurting my team's ability to stun champs.

    Sincerely,

    A hardcore fan

Edit: As it currently stands the rewards structure is terrible, but my main reason to continue doing GM is to help friends/clanmates earn their seal.

Edit2: I understand IB+Div is still a very powerful combo, but a lot of people have struggled to aquire the gun (bugged quest on numerous occasions) and I know a lot of people w/out it.

Edit3: Obviously there are so many Y1 exotics that could use some champ mods, I only used Y3 for my examples.

Edit4: I am NOT calling for Eriana's nerf, there just needs to be a few more exotics to stand with it so the gameplay doesnt get stale.

Edit5: I understand GM is doable w/out Eriana's and using Mtop/Anatchy etc. works well. However, I just want more exotics w/ champ stunning abilities. Imagine coldheart w/ unstoppable??

Edit6: To clarify I felt that Eriana's was ez mode for 1st time triumph/seal completion. It's repeat runs that I want to try new things and challenge myself or let someone know that we don't need meta loadouts.

Bungie, you stated that Y2 took its toll on the team and now that you don't have activision to help, you can't produce the same amount of content. That's fine. Slow down.

    Posted: 21 May 2020 12:46 AM PDT

I think I can speak for everyone here. Regardless of the ideas of sunsetting which I don't agree with, it's crystal clear that you cannot sustain a release every three months. The gameplay loop has become stale, the new seasonal activity can be unfun (Vex Offensive became boring extra quick, and I'm not even talking about Seraph Towers. Sundial was fun though, I'll admit that) and the amount of content we get isn't exactly that high, and not of a high quality either.

It's ok if you can't pump a release out every 3 months. Take your time. I'll gladly wait more if that means I get good content that keeps me engaged. I don't mind waiting. You need to take 6 months now to drop a Season of the same quality level as Opulence or Black Armory? Sweet, take them. Charge me 15$ or 20$ in the process (can't remember how much they were) and take your 6 months to develop that instead of giving me bounty simulator and ball throws. I can wait for good content.
