Hey Bungie, 4k60 on PS5/XSX is great, but a FOV would be the cherry on top.

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 09:56 AM PDT

Title. I play on PC and PS4 and one of the best features on PC (outside of the load times) is the adjustable FOV. It makes the game feel much faster and allows for easier enemy tracking in PVP.

I know the FOV adds additional overhead to performance, but it would be such a nice feature to have on consoles.

[SPOILER] Beyond Light Exotic Weapon Reveal

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 10:24 AM PDT

Something I enjoy about the season is Eris and the drifter acting like divorced parents with joint custody over the guardian

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 05:22 AM PDT

The dialogue is amusing and makes the public event not so shallow. Sure as hell beats Ana's commentary during seraph towers

Any chance we can just make all quest account wide in Beyond Light?

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 04:26 PM PDT

I wanted to delete my titan to remake it as an Exo so I had an exo character for beyond light but the thought of having all the completed quest flags reset, having to unlock forges and all sorts of other things all over again really realllllly put me off doing it. Since character recustomization doesnt seem like a feature that'll be coming any time soon this would be the next best thing.

    Biannual Braytech.org Update

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 03:20 PM PDT

Hello r/DestinyTheGame my old friend, I've come to talk with you again, for I have... updates. 👀

    Getting up to speed, Braytech.org is a third party companion [web] app for Destiny 2. Its feature list includes;

    • Clan
      • Roster
      • Admin mode
      • Stats
    • Quests
      • Quest steps
      • Bounties
    • Collections
    • Triumphs
    • Trackers
    • Checklists
    • Maps
      • detailed node locations with carefully captured screenshots
    • Reports (PGCRs)
    • This Week
      • Active Nightfalls, raid challenges, singes, ascendant challenges, +
    • Content Vault
    • Compare
      • Nightfalls (for that enigmatic After The Nightfall emblem)
      • Nightmare Hunts (for time trail records)

I've just finished the first version of the Content Vault feature, ahead of next season's first round of Destiny Content Vault action, so you can easily see what you should quickly acquire in the next 95 days through either the usual Triumphs and Collections views or from the dedicated Content Vault view. Read more about the Destiny Content Vault over at Bungie.net.

I'm currently looking to improve Item pages x1000. This project is my passion and I work on it every day. It's hard to believe a fleeting flirt with a Xûr status web site has evolved into this. Some of my users, frequent faces in Braytech's Discord, found me through these Reddit posts and that's special. The first week of each season is always a mad scramble for me to get everything going in time for you Guardians.

So please, make my efforts worthwhile simply by using it if you need it. I've come to spread the good word, you know. Okay.

Still reading? MVP, every one of you. Thanks 🍞

    Amnestia.

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 08:53 PM PDT

I've had an idea for a titan exotic for a long time now, and I decided to give it a picture to go with it!

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 11:38 AM PDT

Masterworking exotic armor should add a seasonal free mod slot.

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 08:10 AM PDT

Like, it takes 3 freaking golf balls. Either the cost needs to go down or armor needs to stop going down the shitter each season.

Solo Prophecy Dungeon - The Experience

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 09:48 AM PDT

So you have chosen to go for that beautiful flawless Emblem.

Time to practice before the real deal. Not because the flawless attempt went sour & you just want to continue to see how it goes..... dumbass

    STEP 1 - Mental Preparations

    1. Ask yourself: "Do I really want to go through hell?" -> If "Yes" , slap your face.

    2. Still up for it? Ask a friend, family member or stranger to slap your face again.

    • You have proven your commitment & made somebody happy (How often does somebody get to slap you for free?) Good Job.
    1. Call a loved one or at least family member, you have been playing too much Destiny and they miss you.

    STEP 2 - Game Preparations

As Streamers have proven anything works & you are not the average Joe for this ordeal:

Choose any class for this hellish endavour

    • Pick a Warlock - Believing Devour will save you in time of need..... Hahaha :'(

Pick up some Weapons & Exotics - MountainTop, Anarchy, Recluse, Witherhoard, Riskrunner, Delirium, Sword, Any RocketLauncher

Don't forget Armor: Nezarac, Contraverse, Verity, Karnstein, Transversive, etc. - all good valuable choices (you think hope...)

    Start Mission.

    • Realize you forgot Mods.
    • Realize you need Taken Mods
    • Realize you need the correct Armor as well

    Abandon Mission

    • Go Play Last Wish & Pray to SpiderJesus for Rng
    • Come back a week later. More Mature & Hopeful.

    Start Dungeon for Real

    Heaven/Hell

    The Hallway

    • Kill Knights to collect Motes

    • Stand in the Light to receive Light Motes upon Knight Kill

    • Stand in the Dark to receive Dark Motes upon Knight Kill

    • You need 5 Motes of the same type to cleanse a plate

This part is easy & nothing bad could happen. Moving on....

    • Realize how wrong you were.....
    • Realize just having Taken Mods does not make you invincible when being surrounded by 10 Acolytes & Stuck in Knight Hellfire.
    • Shooting a GL for one pesky Acolyte kill is not worth if you could have run to the next encounter.

There is a Sword Skip Method for this Encounter - *Just saying*

Restarts Stupid Death Count: 2 times

    Phalanx Echo

You made it to your first Boss fight, Congratulations, that wasn't so bad right?

    • Kill the Psions

    • Kill the Knights

    • Pick up 5 Motes & cleanse a Plate

    • Do Boss Damage

    • Don't Die

Lament the fact that always 3 Knights will spawn when you only needed 1 & they spawn in annoying positions.

Realize the Knights have started Sniper practice in this Dungeon (You are the Target & they will improve drastically like you can't believe)

Knight Photon Shotgun has a range of 50m on this 30m radius Plattform. Keep Running.

Knights don't flinch, anything you saw before was a lie, so why did you stop running???

There is no Time limit so leave those motes alone & keep running surving

The Boss is Phalanx, if you haven't forgotten run Lake of Shadows Strike again, under normal circumstance that Big Shield will count your hits as immune.

    • There is no shame in killing the Boss in 2 or 3 Phases or even more. (Stupid Goblins, blocking Damage)

Did you know standing in Well of Radiance counts as Super Damage, therefore bypassing Immunity Beam? Makes it an easy 1-Phase using Fallen Guillotine.

Death Counts: 12 (Stupid Knights can be relentless)

    Wasteland

This is either your flawless Run or solo practice run.

    • Take it slow
    • Destroy Blights
    • Find Toland
    • Take it slow

You die here: Slap your face again

    Hexahedron - The Cube

First up, there is no easy way around it: Toland hates you and he loves the ceiling.

He warned you back in the Dreaming City & told you to turn back. You didn't listen, so he is not here to help you but to make this encounter last as long possible & to wreck your chances. Only reason this fight is shorter as a 3-man team, Toland is obvioulsy scared of potential witnesses seeing his bullshit.

    • Same Mechanics: Kill Knights Find Toland, Dump Motes, Repeat until Boss Fight.
    • Survive

    Sniper Kill -> Spawns Knight

    Knight Kill -> Spawns Sniper

Sniper will always spawn in a position that bypasses your flimsy cover, get used to it.

3 Sniper Shots & your average Joe is out. Hope you brought that Major Resist Mod or Something like Riskrunner.

    • The Middle Plattform will give you slight Damage Reduction upon Activation, but not enough, never enough.....
    • The Snipers are worse than the twin Bosses, you can kill the later with a pistol if careful or just want to wait for your super to nuke them.

Upon Activating the Middle Plattform Knights & Sniper will no longer respawn (if you lucky even despawn immediatly), Acolytes to not follow this rule.

So either rush to the next room use this chance to farm Ammunition or Super energy. Again, there is no rush.

    Wastland (again)

    • Realize your "worthless" Teammates must have done something right, cause there is no way the amount of Adds you killed in the Cube encounter was equivalent to your 3-Man Experience.

    • Don't Drive or Run through a horde of enemies just because you will invcible after finishing the last encounter.

    • Follow the Kell Echo Towards Toland/ Next encounter.

    Deaths we don't talk about: 1 0

    Singularity - Rainbow/Ribbon Road

This place is beautiful. Take moment to breath and calm down.

    • Seriously, put the controller down and relax. You fingers are still twitching from the cube encounter.

If you believe strong enough you can jump straight to the last "Pyramid"

Illusion aside, you can either walk towards the end slowly, maybe even killing all the Adds that spawn on the way or drive your sparrow through Star Road.

    • Snipers and Fall Damage will wreck your cherished vehicle
    • Realize while not as aesthetic as the Halloween Festival of the Lost Broom, the "Scourge of the Past" Exotic Sparrow has nice perk that will cause snipers to miss, even on slow speed.

    • Blaming Bungie will not cause the final plattform levitation to activate, but it does help after 3 Minutes of Confusion & running in circles.

Kell Echo - Final Boss Room

Did you notice Toland is no help again in this Boss fight ? Sneaky Bastard

    • Kill Psions
    • Kill Knights
    • Dump Motes
    • Kill Ogres (That's new & technically optional)
    • Initiate Damage Phase

    • Damage / Damage Kell Echo

Nothing really new, you should now the drill by now, so Good Luck.

    Oh yeah:

    • Without any Buffs/ Debuffs Knights will now tank 3 MountainTop Shots
    • Knights have graduated to Sniper Class Aim across the Room
    • They will dodge your midair Shots.....
    • Red Bar Psions will never go down with just 1 Punch as well (To proc that desperately needed Devour Perk)

    That's a 1060 Encounter for you.

    Oh yeah 2:

    • You finally realize Contraverse Hold does NOT work great using Devour (How did you miss that in the last 2hours???)
    • All the other great armor exotics you brought are Masterworked, but not Infused to 1050+
    • Luckily your brought Upgrade Modules (No you didn't)
    • Realizing: Going below 1050 Power is not an option here
    • Teleport to the Tower is not an option if you want at least the Solo Triumph Now!
    • Believing you have the worst behing you.
Once again you can farm Ammunition & Super Energy after activating the Middle Plattform, not like you need/ want that.

    Damage Phase - Kell Echo

    • Dodge that Black Ball Attack
    • Watch your Dark Entropy Stack (9+ is bad here)
    • Watch out for Snipers (again)
    • Do at least some Boss Damage?

As long as your are careful the Damage Phase is way easier than anything else in this Dungeon, maybe wasteland is easier.

Nevertheless. Things that will cause your hair to turn grey & doubt your sanity:

    • Seeing the easy 1 Phase Sword Kill & trying to apply it here for easy Damage. Stunlock is a lie, Blame Toland or so you Idiot
    • Getting Stuck in a Tree in the Boss Room, being hammerd slowly to Death
    • Forgetting the 3rd Ogre, while being in your Menu
    • Deciding to jump right, while standing on the right most plattform during Damage Phase
    • Forgetting that 2nd Sniper at the end you definitely killed.
    • Not watching your Entropy Stack
    • Getting hit & teleported twice by the boss in a row. (You forgot the Entropy again)
    • Not avoiding /healing whil 3 Sniper Projectiles are incoming (Sucks to be at Red Health)
    • Thinking your Opressive Grenade will hit.
    • Thinking your Nova Bomb will hit.
    • Believing the Chaos Nova Bomb you prepared beforehand will finish the Boss at 10% to make this look cool & you jump to close this time.
    • Repeating a Nova Bomb Attempt & missing an easy jump (again)
    • Realising the Boss "can" shoot faster than before.
    • Not waiting for your abilities to regenerate & entering Psion Hell without ammunition.

Did you know that after escaping the Boss still loses Health? Even without Anarchy, Witherhold, Grenade Effect, etc, like a good 1-2%. Weird

    • Having experienced nearly everything that you think could not have gone wrong on this casual run, you Kill the Boss.

    • Euphoria aside, you feel ready for the upcoming "real" Flawless Solo Run (Fool)

Death Count: 4 Hours of work (You stopped counting a while ago) for this encounter alone

    Reward

After 6h of horrible playtime and repeated Delusions that Shattered Throne & Pit of Heresy were easier (You are lying & just don't remember the amount of attempts) you are looking forward the those sweet 200 Thriumph Points for (at least) Solo Run.

    • Notice the Game won't give you the Solo Triumph

    • Wish you had made a compilation Video of all your Deaths.

EDIT: First Gold ever, thank you & keep smiling

Swords being really good right now is really fun and great for the game imo.

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 08:00 AM PDT

The new swords are really fun but even the normal adaptive frame swords are entertaining to use. It's just nice to have an alternative to guns to use and being 3rd person also adds something that makes them unique.

PLEASE DO NOT ADD CHAMPIONS TO VAULT OF GLASS... please.

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 07:51 PM PDT

Luke Smith seemed pretty excited that Vault of Glass would be "modernized" by adding champion praetorians in D2 but that ain't it. Making people use certain weapons especially in raids is not fun. Learn from your mistakes in the Year 1 Prestige Raid Lairs and let us use the weapons we wanna use. In conclusion: champions = bad, don't add them to Vault of Glass please.

Just a reminder you can still solo skip to the eater of worlds chest and get the telesto catalyst!

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 10:17 AM PDT

This video shows you how to glitch to get to the chest in the raid solo, and its still doable this season and probably wont be fixed. I've been trying for months to get this as it can only be done once a week and every other week is an exotic drop. Heres proof that I found it. There's still time to get it and it only takes 10-15 mins to do!

Personally I like using middle tree Titan and catapult jump with lion rampants, it makes it quite easy to maneuver. Warlocks definitely have it the easiest with dawnblade. For Hunters... Godspeed.

    Best of luck!

Umbral Enhancement III influences world drops as well. You receive an additional perk in the last column on certain weapons

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 07:09 AM PDT

I decrypted a Prime Engram into Night Watch with double perks in the last column. Tested weapon parts with gunsmith and got a Gnawing Hunger with double perks. I guess weapons that are common between Recaster and World loot pool have a chance of dropping with double perks.

Now that Sturms exotic perk has been made a legendary perk and Drang will be sunset, it's time to rework Sturm

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 07:56 PM PDT

Sturm is an exotic you've probably never used and no one can really blame you. It's unfortunately a victim of D2Y1 and has only seen one significant buff to it which requires a legendary weapon that will be sunset. With all of this in mind, I think it's time to finally give this weapon some love to make it both appealing and actually have something unique about to make it stand out as exotic.

The thing that immediately that comes to mind is to give a perk very similar to The First Curse exotic from D1. For those unfamiliar with The First Curse, it was a very slow rate of fire hand cannon and very similar to the Sturm. It's exotic perk was once you had killed an enemy with a headshot the magazine was refilled and some of the stats of the weapon would be increased until your next reload.

Now, when thinking about Sturm it's uniqueness is its overcharged rounds that can stacks an insane amount, granting a ridiculous clip with bonus damage. The problem is that these overcharge rounds are tied to the Drang sidearm and without the Drang you have no way of overcharging the weapon. Perhaps it could be changed to when you do a precision kill a remnant, similar to Thorn and Lumina, will spawn that when picked up it would overcharge either the whole clip or next few shots or something.

I'd just really love to have a really hard hitting hand cannon again that doesn't require the use of another weapon to make powerful

Players want old D1 exotics remastered, but when they finally get them, they say Bungie is just "reusing content" and "give us new shit instead". Make up your fucking mind.

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 08:08 PM PDT

Personally I love seeing old exotics coming back, enhanced in D2. It's a nice feeling of nostalgia. I also feel that Bungie has been doing a good job of keeping a good ratio of new exotics, and old exotics. There are plenty of new exotics that we have gotten that I think they can take the time to remaster a weapon.

Basically what I'm saying is stop fucking complaining about everything. If you don't enjoy the game, quit.

This Week At Bungie, we're streaming… for the kids!

Hello there. If you're reading this right at the moment of publication, then congratulations. You've just hit the $100k benchmark for our slot on the GCX stream! If you have no idea what I'm talking about, let's break it down.

Between 9 AM and 1 PM PDT today, we're live on the GCX Marathon Charity Stream, raising funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to help support children in need. Your donations help families around the world by contributing to the research and treatment of cancer. While you can take pride in helping by donating a few dollars, we also have a variety of incentives to provide some additional motivations.

If you haven't donated, this is your chance! And if you missed our live stream, no worries – this initiative is being supported by many in the gaming community. Jump in and check it out.

    Another Patch in the Pipe

This week has been a pretty active one in terms of patches. On Monday, a change was made to require players to re-queue for Forges in hopes of removing idle players from the activity. Tuesday, we had some fixes go live for energy and Umbral Engrams. Today, Hotfix 2.9.0.1 went live with fixes to Sprint Cancelling, the Lighthouse, and more. But we aren't done yet.

Hotfix 2.9.0.2 is planned for next week. We're in the process of finishing up some testing passes, but here are a few things you can expect:

    • Fixes targeting controller remapping.

      • Issue where double-tapping buttons sometimes does not trigger Dodge or other abilities.
      • Issues where weapons don't fire when pulling a trigger.
      • Issue where Stormtrance would sometimes not function.
    • Fixes an issue where Witherhoard deals excessive amounts of damage to various bosses.

    • Fixes an issue where solo completion of the Prophecy dungeon does not unlock the associated Triumph.

    • Fixes an issue where various reward sources are dropping at 750 Power, rather than at the Guardian's Power Level.

    • Fixes an issue where the Tommy's Matchbook Catalyst quest was removed from player inventory.

We have a laundry list of other issues that the team is currently investigating. Our next update is planned for early July, so stay tuned for another Patch Note Preview in the coming weeks.

    Beyond Light Pre-Order Bonuses

You may see Player Support team members on the #Help forums frequently, but they're constantly fighting the good fight behind the scenes. Since well before launch, they've been helping the teams triage issues, representing your voices in the meetings that matter most. This last week has been no different, as they've been tackling each newly discovered issue from Season of Arrivals.

    This is their report.

    FORGE MATCHMAKING UPDATE

Earlier this week, we implemented a change to the Forge activity where players now return to orbit after completing the activity. This change was implemented after seeing a large amount of players entering the activity and being inactive, ruining the experience for other players.

RAID GEAR AND MAX POWER LEVELS

In our May 14 TWAB we announced that gear would begin to have a Max Power Level starting in Season of Arrivals, but that weapons and armor from the Last Wish and Garden of Salvation raids would be granted exceptions. Currently, this gear doesn't indicate that, but it will in a future update. Both armor and weapons from Last Wish and Garden of Salvation will be updated retroactively with the Season of Arrivals watermark and will have a Season 14 Max Power Level.

Additionally, all armor from all other Destiny 2 raids will be updated retroactively with the Season of Arrivals watermark and will have a Season 14 Max Power Level.

Players can read more about Max Power Levels in our Help article.

EMOTE BUNDLE AND PRE-ORDER ITEM LOCATION

Players who purchased the Season of Arrivals Silver and Emote Bundle will find their Emote in the inventory pages of Master Rahool, the Cryptarch, in the Tower Courtyard.

Players who pre-ordered Destiny 2: Beyond Light will also find their items in Rahool's inventory pages.

    UPDATES AND UPCOMING HOTFIXES

On Tuesday, we issued a server-side fix to resolve a few issues:

    • Players weren't receiving the appropriate amount of Twisted Energy after unlocking Umbral Enhancement II.
    • Focused Umbral Engrams could sometimes decrypt at higher Power than intended.

Earlier today, we released Hotfix 2.9.0.1. This hotfix included the following resolved issues:

    • Sprinting on a controller would cancel if clicked again.

      • We are still investigating other controller remapping issues and have listed them in this thread.
    • Prime Engrams were rewarding Warlocks with Hunter armor.

    • Umbral Engrams couldn't be removed if a player had a full inventory but had completed the Season of Arrivals introduction quest. Players in this state can now remove these engrams.

Next Tuesday, we will release Hotfix 2.9.0.2. More details will be provided soon.

    KNOWN ISSUES

While we continue investigating various known issues, here is a list of the latest issues that were reported to us in our #Help Forum:

    • Grenade Launchers may be causing crashes when used in the Crucible.
    • Console players may experience blacked out emblems, invisible ships, and a Power Level of 0 in orbit. To resolve this issue, click here and follow the directions.
    • The Almost Mighty Exotic Ghost Shell and the Saint's Vocation Exotic ship appear invisible.
    • Some players are unable to accept the weekly "Means to an End" quest from the Prismatic Recaster.
    • The "Nascent Dawn 1/5" quest step can't be completed because the Sleeper Node at CB.NAV/RUN.()Dynamo.Approach.Arch is missing.
    • The "Become Legend" quest step to reach 950 Power doesn't update when players reach 950 Power. This will update when players reach 1000 Power.
    • The Tommy's Matchbook Catalyst quest has been removed from player inventories.
    • The "Upgrade Gift Ranks" Triumph doesn't track gift ranks purchased at the Prismatic Recaster.
    • The "Prophecy Dungeon Solo" Triumph doesn't unlock when players solo the Prophecy dungeon.
    • The "Contact: Heavy Hitters" Triumph doesn't accurately update when the appropriate Taken boss killed.

For a full list of emergent issues in Destiny 2, players can review our Known Issues article. Players who observe other issues should report them to our #Help forum.

If I had a dollar for every time my Guardians have fallen to the Architects, I'd have no less than two thousand of them. This week's winner has been keeping track of some hilarious defeats. Take a moment and be thankful that you aren't them.

Thanks for stopping by for another week of Destiny 2 and Bungie news. Releasing TWAB's early is always a fun time, especially when raising money for charity on the GCX stream. By the time you're reading this, DeeJ and Nicole may have had a few lore readings. I may have eaten a piece of bread or two. Cozmo may have lost his mind, again. Who knows, maybe we've already unveiled some Destiny 2: Beyond Light concept art. Either way, it's all for the kids.

Oh, and before we forget! If you all somehow reach 500 thousand dollars in donations, Cozmo and I are going to get matching tattoos. I have no doubts you have it in you, but will you hit the mark within our four hour block? You've been challenged in the ways of old.

    See you in chat.

    Cheers,

    -Dmg04

What is the purpose of allowing mods to only last for 3 seasons if armor is getting sunset anyways?

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 08:17 PM PDT

Title pretty much. Since mods only last 3 seasons it makes old armor sets almost completely useless if you grinded for them.

AFK Forge Farming is Fully Killed

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 11:53 AM PDT

It appears with the most recent hotfix, Bungie has put the final nail in the coffin of AFK forge farming. After testing this with around 12-15 runs, no drops have occurred for either an umbral engram or altered element. Either this or the rates for failure were HEAVILY reduced.

Also, not surprisingly they decided not to list this change in the bevy of fixes in the post.

Seventh Seraph LMG will be the only Legendary LMG not sunsetted next season.

Bungie , pls give us the ability to toggle our ghost's light on and off.

As simple as the title suggests. Especially now that controller mapping Is a thing for console players .

Sincerely, a guy tired of having to keep increasing/decreasing his brightness all the time.

Stat Focusing is fun. Now make it useful.

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 06:03 AM PDT

Bungie. I was really glad when I heard that we can focus on specific stats. But this is ridiculous. I get it, you don't want us to get god rolls instantly.

But when I focus on a specific stat, I expect that stat to be the highest.

These gloves? That's Mobility focus. Yeah. 27 base discipline on a MOBILITY FOCUS.

And here we have a Recovery focus. It's on par with intellect.

When I read the words "Armor specifically tuned to enhance wearer's mind and wits." I think "High Intellect stat". Not "High Resilience" or "High Strength". I don't think "Guaranteed minimum of 10", I think "At least 20". I am also disappointed that it's not the highest stat in the armor piece. I would be less disappointed if the focus stat was at least 18 and it was the highest, not a measly 10.

Why a minimum of 10? Why not 15? Why even have this system if it's not guaranteed to be the highest stat? Why are we limited to 5 pieces per week? Why not just make it more and more expensive like cores from spider without a limit?

What is the point of Focusing if I have a cheaper and faster way of getting armor from the dungeon with pretty much guaranteed 60+ and a spike in a stat?

On a more positive note, love the fact that we can choose what we get. Consider it in the future with choosing the weapon type (Auto rifles, fusion rifles, sniper rifles etc).
