    Daily Vanguard Modifiers

    Affect Strikes, Menagerie, Heroic Missions & Adventures

    • Solar Singe: Solar damage increases slightly from all sources.
    • Iron: Enemies have more health and are not staggered by damage.
    • Heavyweight: Power weapons deal more damage, and more ammo is available.

    After grinding IB on all my characters and not getting a single forward path drop but getting over 100 blue helmets, I'm sick of blues.

    Just give me a legendary so I can at least get some shards out of a game or maybe a better roll on something else.

    Edit: for those who keep saying this helps for leveling up. Ideally this is something that would happen after you reach the pinnacle cap.

    Edit 2: someone else pointed out this could even work for the hard cap.

    Edit: this blew up a lot more than expected! I definelty see that there a huge drawback with a weapon like this. I mainly just made this post to talk about a weapon like this existing with you guys! Personally, i think if done properly, the gun could work but it can easy be a must have if not handled well. Lots of people have brought up good points like existing weapons (eriana's, etc) becoming obsolete due to a gun like this. Keep the convo up! Really interested what you guys think!

    Edit 2: this weapon mainly also came from a place to make builds with champions more interesting. Personally, im in the middle with the whole ideas of champions. I dont think champions are going anywhere, anytime soon so ideas like this might change things up! For better or for worse lol

    Get 100% completion for your characters' milestones & bounties every week

    Problem: Do you ever log in and wonder what you still need to finish on all your characters? Maybe you know you want to do all the weekly milestones, or you want to make sure you finish your banshee bounties on all your characters. Maybe you're like me and your memory is horrible, and wish you could look at a status page for everything you care about and nothing you don't care about?

    Solution: Working with original creator /u/dweezil22, I have just added a todo-tracker to D2 Checklist. The page features a complete list of all the milestones and bounties available to your characters. Each activity shows its completion status and/or expiration time to help you optimize your day when you log in. Make sure you filter out anything you don't care about, and then you can sort the list however you want to help prioritize certain types of bounties/milestones.

    Filters

    Filter out things you don't care about. For me, I don't include Shaxx bounties because I don't care if I finish them on all my characters. I still pick them up if I'm playing crucible, but the only stuff in my list is stuff that I WANT to finish for all my characters. Right now the filters work in a way where an activity needs to pass the activity TYPE and REWARD filters you have set. If you don't care about the rewards, but know exactly what you want to do, then I would recommend not filtering out anything based on rewards.     Customizing filters

    You can customize the filters to get your own set of activities you care about. To toggle a filter on or off, just click on the filter and it will turn on/off. You can move large groups of filters by using the quick filter buttons at the bottom of each box. Your work is saved!     Sorts

    The grid is sort-able by all of its columns. Descriptions for what each column does is at the bottom of the page. You can also multi-sort by any amount of columns.     Sorting by reward (helpful for milestones)

    Sorting by reward works very similar to the milestone page sort. The rewards are sorted by what tier and type the gear drop is. You can use this to easily check if you've done everything you can to grind your light level. https://i.imgur.com/QtBQ2si.mp4

    If I just logged infor the day, usually I want to group my bounties so I know what to pick up or start working on. https://i.imgur.com/m2CsiZ2.png. I use multisort to make my list easier to read. (First sorting by the icon column, which groups bounties together by vendor, descending so that bounties are above milestones. Second, sorting by the details, which separates weekly and daily bounties. Third by my character's progress, which shows me the bounties I haven't picked up all in a group)

    Compact view

    Other Stuff

    As with previous posts about D2Checklist, the site is NOT doing anything nefarious with your data. The authentication with Bungie to view certain pages (like this one) is to access profile-protected endpoints like the vendors endpoint (needed to build the bounty list). If you still aren't convinced, the whole site is open source, which is how I was able to contribute. If you want to look at the code for yourself, go look at it!

    I think it's pretty unfair that Bungie are sunsetting weapons with one or more ornaments that I've purchased.

    Title. Makes me not want to spend money in case the gun becomes redundant.

    Edit: because people seem to be missing my point. Bungie knew which weapons they would be sunsetting, yet still put ornaments for said weapons in the Eververse store. I just think it's pretty shit that they were still trying to make weapons appealing even though they were planning on capping them so other weapons would be used.

    Yes, there will be a new meta.

    Yes, I know I can still use the weapon, but a weapon capped at 1060 will be pretty useless come later light level.

    Exotic Weapon Idea: "The Holdout"

    Hello Guardians, please forgive the poor (or lack of) formatting, this is my first post. This is an idea for an exotic I thought would be fun, let me know what you think!

    The Holdout

    Weapon type: Scout Rifle Foundry: Tex Mechanica Ammo type: Primary Slot: Kinetic

    "When it's all you got, it's all you need." -Tex 99-40

    Impact: 80 Range: 100 Stability: 60 Handling: 70 Reload: 80 Magazine: 6

    Intrinsic: The Holdout - This weapon fires powerful rounds with a lever action. (This animation would take 0.5-0.6 seconds to complete)

    Column 1: Tex Iron Sights - Greatly increases range and handling speed, medium-low zoom

    Column 2: Textured Grip - Greatly increases handling speed. Increases stability.

    Trait 1: Crack Shot - Successfully landing 2 precision hits within a short time window (1-1.2 seconds) loads a powerful, staggering round (2x damage, unstoppable round)

    Trait 2: Moving Target - Increases movement speed and target acquisition when aiming down the sights.

    Catalyst: Lone Star : +30 handling. Greatly increases the speed of the lever action when you are the last guardian standing.

    (Extra notes: This weapon would do ~130 damage headshots in pvp. 3 shot body shot. Crack shot round loaded would 1 hit to the head for all resiliences, ~150 to the body. Adds sniper glint in pvp with crack shot active. The idea would be a very high skill ceiling weapon that rewards great aim and fast target acquisition. In pve it would excel at taking out majors at a distance, in pvp it would offer a skilled player some pretty cool 1v2 plays with the catalyst offering a lot of possible utility in survival modes or nightfalls)

    Appearance: I'm no artist, but I envision this gun to be loosely based on an American civil war era lever action repeater with Tex Mechanica ornamentation.

    The Hunters den below the hangar? Ol Drifter would love to move in.

    Amanda can set up shop in her old station.

    Lakshmi and FWC can fit their new lounge in place of the old one

    Arach Jalal and Dead orbit can take up residence in the lower part of the Hargar

    Rat bastard Rahool can have his shop and vault back

    Banshee can get some extra leg room back

    Tess can return to the tuna can

    Kadi can return to her little shop

    The vaults can be danced upon once more

    Shaxx can return to either his hall or move shop to the back courtyard next to the spicey ramen shop

    Saladin can return to his old spot in the other courtyard

    Saint can hang out there too though where Petra used to hangout

    Hawthorne hangout in the back courtyard if Shaxx doesnt want to

    Ada has a whole lower level to do whatever she wants and plus it's just a stones throw from TRV3R

    Zavala and Ikora can finally be in the same room as one another again

    As for Ana, Raspberry pi.WARMIND, and the next hunter vanguard.....well theres room to go around. Maybe they can incorporate the best parts of both towers into a new tower, who knows...

    Remove Guiding Light, and give us a blanket +10% buff to XP gains

    So many good looking ghost shells, but if it doesn't have guiding light, it is completely and utterly useless. I will never touch a ghost shell without guiding light, and that makes me sad because I want to be able to use my cat ghost I got from Festival of the Lost.

    I have a pretty cool idea for a SIVA based exotic

    I was thinking what if you could have one gun for all three slots, and the whole thing is made of SIVA so when you equip it it takes up all three slots and whenever you switch weapons the SIVA particles jump out and rearrange themselves into the gun. Like let's say it was an auto rifle and then you swap it to your special and all the nanites change into a sniper, and then you can switch it again into a rocket launcher.     Charlemagne had the PvP population for the past couple of days at about 650k. Thanks to this helpful spreadsheet we can see that this is about 10k lower than 25th May 2018, the Friday of an Iron Banner week. Warmind launched on 8th May.

    So it's not only not the most "popular" Iron Banner ever, numbers are actually lower than Y1 "that nearly killed the franchise" and a time when "SBMM was killing Crucible", etc.

    Some people are very keen to push a narrative that breaking matchmaking is actually objectively good, seems to me like they are trying hard to drown out the chorus of people stating the obvious: it's made the experience worse for the majority of players.

    Anyway, the point isn't to compare SBMM/CBMM, it was just to demonstrate that "most popular Iron Banner ever" was flat out wrong, and that spreadsheet happened to be the most easily available historical data.

    Also, I am not by any means pretending to be objective when I say I believe this will have made things worse for the majority of players. Sure, it seems like the most obvious thing in the world to me that going from mid to upper rank in most matches, feeling like you're improving, that your contribution makes a difference to the outcome and you're rarely out of your depth to being somewhere between a passenger feeding on scraps and cannon fodder .... that's a good working definition of feelsbadman.

    This was my exact experience of the last time matchmaking got broken in the Crucible, and it seems even in this thread that a lot of others are reporting similar. So while it seems obvious to me that this will be its effect on everyone below the upper-mid tier, i.e. the majority of players, I am not here trying to pretend that the opinion I've formed based on these experiences = some kind of definitive "CBMM bad because science", my exact point is that people trying to do this are both full of shit and also basically trying to steamroller others' opinions and experiences out of existence as if they don't count.

    Really I remember finding God Players in MW2, Halo 3 and all I could say/react was like "Damn! This dude is insane! I want to learn how to play like that." There wasn't such thing as "getting fun pass denied" or things like that, and even then finding players who were beasts was just occasionally. Games without SBMM, let alone CBMM. Host-based stuff, servers hosted in Russia, playing with 150ping, playing good or bad, it was a nice time.

    When did this "protect me Bungie" started? Really, people get matched against a great player, ok, and what they do? They come here, complain, dramatize and start with the worlds strangest whining I've ever seen

    What happened? I thought finding matches with great players was a rarity, considering that not even 10% of the community has a 2.0 KD.

    Will shaders ever make sense with the location in the square.

    I can't tell you how many times I look at the divides in the shaders trying to calculate what and where each colour goes and how it works. Some do match up but most of the time it seems to be completely random. Does anyone know how they work because just a little bit of knowledge would go a long way to making my prefect guardian.

    We need more armor bonuses like the Gambit Prime set

    Back when Reckoning was introduced Bungie introduced armor sets for various roles to play in Gambit Prime. It was cool to be able to have a specific role in mind when you put your armor on, have that role known simply by what you had equipped and set the pace of the game accordingly. I'm kinda sad we havent seen or heard much about sets since then.

    Imagine if we had sets that let you create extra orbs, give stat boosts to teammates at the cost of your own, gave access to abilities from other skill tress, etc. I feel like this would be a really fun way to had more depth to the gameplay while adding to the grind of unique builds.

    Edit: Perhaps NEED was the wrong word. I just want to see some additional options for making your character yours.

    Edit2: Raid set perks instead of mods?

    Fix Warlock melees. PLEASE.

    Warlock melees have been in a terrible position for ages. The two extra metres of range are absolutely trivial since they only seem to apply to your lunge, and once a melee fight actually begins they grant no advantage at all. The warlock melees are so, so slow it is not fair in the slightest.

    Is it fair that I can run behind a player in Crucible and melee them, only to turn around and get melee'd TWICE before my second melee is even ready?

    Please just drop the bull and give Warlocks the same melee as the other two classes. This isn't funny anymore.

    Earned "From The Jaws Of Defeat" yesterday and I've never played a crazier round of Gambit Prime.

    Title.

    I've been working on Reckoner the past month or so. So I queue up for a match to get collector finished.

    I join and it looks... bleak. There's six blockers on the bank, two knights and six captains. We have something like 16 motes and they're around 82 or so. That's when I notice it's 4v3... I'm the third. I joined an in-game match to be the third player.

    ... well, fuck.

    The other two people are clearly just not quite in the fight at this point, after three quick successive deaths trying to clear this clusterfuck of a bank. I'm like, "Right. Loadout swap. Jotunn time mother fuckers." Captains keep clustering, so I keep firing. Shield explosions eventually get this mess cleared out after two deaths.

    They've had their primeval for a period now.

    Okay, let's just see what we can do. I start collecting motes, then, for the first time in 30+ matches that day the two people aren't assholes. They're not stealing motes from me (there's one asshole Titan I'd like to bitch about from another match), they're letting me collect everything and only take motes when I can't carry.

    One invades.... wipes the team. What? Seriously?

    Huge blocker out. Second huge blocker out. Wait, are they not clearing the blockers? No! For whatever reason they are not clearing blockers lost their fourth. It's now 3v3.

    They invade a few times, shut down almost every time.

    By the end of banking, we have two huge blockers, a knight, and at least one captain. I know we sent a few more, I doubt they got it cleared. But four is all that is shown on the HUD.

    Our one invader is just going portal-after-portal as hard as they can. Wiping the team or just 2 of the 3.

    10 seconds on the clock and we both have healed primevals. Our invader keeps them busy. They take a few pixels sliver off theirs. We take like a tenth of one of the bars off the top.

    Default! We win! Holy shiiiiiiiiiit!

    Man, that has got to hurt as the opposing team. Never give up!

    To the two players on my team (I'm not posting their screen names because I'm not sure that's allowed): Thank you. I don't think I've seen guardians ever fight like that. I sent you both a "Great game!" message after, forgot messages we're blocked on my end so if you replied I never saw it. Thanks again!
