    • Arc Singe: Arc damage increases slightly from all sources.

    Masterworking Exotic Armor should add a 4th mod slot

    With how expensive it is to masterwork exotic armor and having an exotic taking away from having a good build in many cases; I believe once you masterwork exotic armor it should add a 4th mod slot that rotated and fits mods for the current season and previous season... or some variation of that.

    If you're matchmaking into Tier 3 Reckoning, I don't know if it's a smart idea for you to be using anything other than Tether or Well. It doesn't matter how good you are, it's how good your teammates aren't.

    Title, pretty much. It's ignorant to assume Tier 3 isn't ever going to contain any sort of carrying. There's always, as a bare minimum, one in every run that needs their hand holding through it.

    If you're not putting a Well down for them to camp in, or a Tether to stop them getting overwhelmed, they're going to die often and cost you the run.

    The fencing salute emote is not a challenge

    I dont know if this has been brought up before but I came back to destiny a few days ago and was looking through the eververse store when I saw the fencing salute emote. I, having grown up fencing due to my parents love of swashbuckler movies, decided to buy it and it and I was just slightly annoyed that when the remote is done it says "your guardian issues a challenge". The action the guardian does during the fending emote is not a challenge. Traditionally the challenge involves a glove and is entirely different. It is a salute first to your opponent then depending on then either God or yourself depending on who is talking. It's meant as a sign of respect in a duel between opponents who respect each other's skill and dedication both to the sport and to victory.

    What's up, Guardians? It's been a while.

    Last time we met you told me I was good at what I did. Bad news: that went to my head. Yeah, I did it some more.

    Here's the good stuff

    Approximately 44 legendary and exotic weapon designs with unique perks and appearances. This time, there are also a number of associated quest cards laying out how some weapons might be acquired.

    Overall, same rules as last time. Exotics get two unique perks; legendaries are set up like old-style Pinnacles and get one unique perk and one standard perk. There are a few less-serious designs also included. As before, I've tried to stay mostly compliant to the Destiny world, with the intention that (almost) any weapon could, theoretically, be added with minimal design changes.

    "Queen of All Trades" was a suggestion from the DTG Discord server.

    One more thing: last time, some very generous Guardians gilded my post, like, a lot. I genuinely appreciate that gesture - but gilding just gives money to reddit the company. If you have money to spare, I would be very grateful if you instead used it to either hire me or contribute to a cause like Black Lives Matter.

    Please Bungie, I beg you...make Resilience useful in PvE in Beyond Light.

    With some barrier mods becoming obsolete next season in endgame stuff (LW and CoS gear will still be relevant for the barrier mods until next year, apologies for not realizing/forgetting. See reason 4 as to how this would be remedied), it's Resilience's time to shine.

    The change would be somewhat simple: just make Resilience have an overall damage reduction and have it like Mobility...each tier adds 4% for a max of 40% at 100 resilience.

    There's a few reasons as to why this works or would be considered good in my opinion:

    1. Investing in Resilience mods means you also can't equip minor, major, boss resist mods and concussive dampeners.

    2. Because of reason 1, people can't stack up on the resists, making their overall damage resistance only a little above 50%. When I had hive barrier and taken barrier, Prophecy dungeon solo was still difficult, but allowed me to breathe a little easier since I wasn't constantly struggling to try and complete the objective. Both stacked was a 40% resist and I also had major, minor, resist and concussive dampener equipped...so 50% is not too strong.

    3. Resilience mods cost 3 energy...a pretty hefty investment: a 4% damage resist for 3 energy feels viable to me, in conjunction with reason 1.

    4. If this is taken into consideration, if barrier mods make a comeback, since they cost 1 energy, they should only give a 10% resist boost MAX, since a 3 energy investment in Resilience is larger than that...and you won't stack up too much resistance.

    5. Resilience and Recovery stats on armor are polar opposites in terms of stat placements on armor drops, so in order to get 100 in both, you need to invest in both. This also means instead of going for recovery and a utility stat to max, if you want to go full tank, it will take almost all your energy and armor stats to make it happen...allowing for more hybrid builds.

    6. Enemy AI has gotten buffed, or it feels like it. I used to be able to easily dodge Hobgoblin/Vandal snipes just by using serpentine movement (changing direction as they shoot), I know resort to running from cover to cover because after 2 shots from snipers I'm in critical if I take no other damage from other sources like a Knight. We need a way to counter this so we don't feel almost completely helpless.

    7. Tank builds can become a thing! Even 100 recovery doesn't really make you feel tanky, and having a half damage resistance would help allow someone to be able to go rez someone in the open without fear of dying (Titan barricades are a joke against Taken Captains, but that's another thread/discussion).

    I know you guys have been busy, but this is the perfect time to make Resilience shine in PvE, and i don't have to tell people "Resilience is worthless in PvE, you're better off investing in resist mods and Recovery on your armor".

    Title. Gunsmith Telemetries are pretty much the most useless item that could ever take up an inventory slot. The only thing more useless is the Pure Matterglass Lens, which gives you a chance to get Telemetries from precision kills. I can't understand why they exist, because they're hard to come by, and give almost no Gunsmith rep, which is it's ONLY purpose. This begs the question of why there's a Ghost shell perk that increases your chances of finding Telemetries. Why would I want to find more of an item who's only purpose is giving me minimal rep?

    Bungie adding animated emblems would be a pretty cool feature for completing rare achievements.

    Don't know how doable this would be on a technical basis but I really think you need something special for rare achievements like perhaps having multiple seals unlocked. At the minute some of the more basic emblems look much cooler than the rarer ones. As someone who has nearly every seal in the game it feels kind of crap not to have something as a reward more than just being able to equip a single title at a time.

    p.s. Also animated skins for weapons would be cool.

    Things that annoy me as an lfg raider (rant)

    I may not be the most experienced raider ever but I have a decent amount of clears in all the main raids. Since I don't have any other friends that play this game I resort to using lfg for them. Its always a dice-roll in the team you get and I've found that when a raid has one of these types of people, it severely affects the experience of the raid.

    1. Assholes. Big surprise, the worst raids I've been in have had one or two people that are so toxic, not just when someone makes a mistake, but some people say rude things unprovoked. There's literally no reason to do this, it just lowers morale in your teammates and makes people not ever want to play with you again. The best raid groups are when people are nice and friendly, it just makes the raid flow so smoothly.

    2. Impaired by a substance. I had a raid one time go for like 5 hrs because one guy kept drinking, becoming more and more unresponsive until he passed out and we had to kick him off and replace him. It was a sherpa run so I expected it to be somewhat long... but not 5hrs. Another time, one dude was so high he would not stop talking about random stuff, it was really distracting. I dont care what you do on your private time, but please be considerate of your teammates who just wanna get the raid done.

    3. 'Speedrunners'. Now, I know that speedrunning is a whole challenge that people take on for themselves and its awesome when you can finish a whole raid in like 15 minutes, but in my experience, speedrunning strats more often fail in lfg because they're the only one that is doing it, everyone else is doing the encounter normally, so if the speedrunner is not doing their part, they will cause the team to wipe. Combine that with most of the speedrunners ive met being super toxic, it just kills the whole experience. If you want to speedrun, specify it when you make an lfg post, dont just join a normal run and expect for it to work there.

    I know I'll probably get a lot of hate from all this, but I just needed to vent a bit. Rant over.

    To end on a positive note, those raids where everyone is nice, communicates well and is prepared are the best raids ever. If you are like this I love you.

    Prison of Elders Gambit map

    Being a destiny 1 veteran, I've been thinking a lot about how Bungie may be able to integrate classic content in their newest game. I remember when prison of elders first dropped and I would play it for hours in end, getting all 3 exotics from Skolas, and grinding a dry rot. I think that adding the prison of elders into gambit would be an amazing addition for gambit, enemy types would change, just as prison of elders, every wave would be a different enemy to fight. And who knows, maybe Bungie could throw in some mix ups, like how broken down it would be after the Red War, seen through the strike that takes place in the Prison of Elders.

    What if the Deep Stone Crypt - and therefore the new raid - is down in Europa's subsurface ocean?

    Hi DTG reddit, this is my first post here! I had this thought a little bit ago and was like "oh my god but what IF--"

    So, context...you can google "europa subsurface ocean" to get a lot of neat popular science articles and also some journal articles about this, but long story short, there's a lot of indirect/circumstantial evidence that Europa has a saltwater ocean down beneath its ice surface. Estimates are something like 80-170 km of water topped by several km of ice. While I doubt the DSC would be at the very BOTTOM of that - though it would be amazing if it was, who knows what we became capable of in the Golden age? - I mean, it being down there in general would explain why hasn't been found.

    I unfortunately have pretty much no evidence for this beyond the fact that it's called the /Deep/ Stone Crypt. In fact it seems more likely that the DSC is deep in the ice itself to judge by the Beyond Light gameplay trailer. But as an astrophysicist - though this is more planetary science and astrooceanography, which are very not my specialties - I think it would be SUCH a cool setting for Destiny. So maybe this is really just me pleading for us to be given another, proper, ocean setting since we can't really. Do anything with the methane oceans on Titan other than die in them. Which is disappointing.

    ETA: THE EXPANSION IS CALLED BEYOND LIGHT WHAT'S MORE BEYOND LIGHT THAN A SUBSURFACE OCEAN THAT'S BASICALLY ONE BIG ABYSSOPELAGIC ZONE. also sea monsters.

    ...I don't know how much discussion this will generate or if it might get tagged as low-effort/low-quality so if you also want to ask questions about space and astronomy-related things in Destiny I'm game to have that discussion too.

    Why doesn't infusing a weapon with this season's iteration of said weapon increase the power cap on it?

    I honestly don't understand it, it's the exact same weapon and yet I have to regrind a certain roll even though I got it seasons ago. Looking at you Iron Banner weapons.

    Bungie, please do something with weapon telemetry.

    Right now all weapon telemetry does is waste inventory space and ghost perk slots. It either needs to contribute way more towards vendor levels or just get deleted and the perks replaced.

    Since Beyond Light has been delayed, why not use the extra time to re-earn old shaders?

    All of the old Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit shaders? Hell, throw in the Faction shaders for your New Light players?

    It'll give people at least "something" to do while you continue to work on Beyond Light. Give people the opportunity to re-earn shaders they might've missed out on.

    Title. Its a green from year 1 called Jiangshi AR1 . It's only trait is alloy mag but it does feature the Flash HS5 sight.

    It's the only auto rifle to have this intrinsic perk which really interests me. Was Bungie intending on making this an AR archetype and just kind of forgot? If this is the case did they start working on it and then decide to just scrap the idea? Was it an error in early development that kind of just fell through the cracks? Just seems really strange that something like this exists and hasn't been reiterated in any legendaries.
