Posted: 09 Jul 2020 03:24 PM PDT Source: https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/49333 This week at Bungie, the Season had more arrivals. The Pyramid ships have continued to arrive across the system. Along with Io, they now loom above Titan, Mercury, and Mars, with unknown intent. Guardians have continued to aid Eris in making contact through the new public event which is now located on Titan. There is also a new Exotic weapon quest available. Here is a peek if you haven't already set out to claim it. The timing of Pyramid reinforcements was impeccable, showing up on Bungie Day no less. No matter –the festivities went on. Bungie Day is a celebration of you, the community. And once again, we use this totally made up holiday as a reminder of how thankful we are to get to create worlds that inspire friendship. During that time, Destiny 2 players who have Twitch Prime memberships have benefitted by claiming some amazing rewards – from Exotic weapons like SUROS Regime and Prometheus Lens to Legendary and Exotic ships, Sparrows, Ghosts, weapon ornaments, and emotes. Today we're pleased to announce that we're extending the Twitch Prime Rewards program in Destiny 2 for another four months. That means more amazing goodies coming your way, and all you need to take advantage of it is a Twitch Prime membership. If you haven't yet, make sure you have an active Twitch Prime subscription (visit this page to start your free trial) and then link your Bungie.net account. Each month, when a new drop becomes available, you can visit this page to claim your haul. Once that's done, visit Amanda Holliday in the Tower… just make sure you've got room in your inventory for all the sweet loot! Our next set of Twitch Prime rewards are scheduled to arrive on July 22 featuring a certain Exotic weapon used for booping. The maze for the Forerunner seal is kinda easy... Posted: 09 Jul 2020 02:58 PM PDT |
Posted: 09 Jul 2020 09:30 AM PDT I love Ruinous Effigy. edit: I'm genuinely diagnosed with dyslexia sorry for the typo. [link] [comments] |
When the Cosmodrome returns, the Loot Cave should be a Lost Sector Posted: 09 Jul 2020 01:27 PM PDT Probably far too late in development, (and hell, they've probably already thought about it) but I think it would be clever to turn the Loot Cave into a Lost Sector with maybe some tongue in cheek humor. Thank you Bungie. Thank you for some truly "exotic" weapons this year Posted: 09 Jul 2020 07:06 AM PDT Most of the exotic weapons this season have been truly exotic and are what I think should be the model for all weapon exotics to come. Lets look at them...
These are what I think of when I think about exotic weapons. They are unique and have unique perks not found on any other item in the game. Kudo's to you bungie for giving us some truly exotic items. I really hope we get to see this trend continue on into the future. EDIT: Added Heir Apparent. People were pointing out that it does give you add a "On-demand" Shield. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Jul 2020 04:14 PM PDT This years Moments of Triumph seal requires you to do five raids to unlock it, and many guardians have never attempted a raid before, whether it be for time restrictions, being mute or deaf, anxiety or just not being able to get someone to help teach them a raid. Finding a raid team in a typical lfg setting can be hard due to people being impatient, having unreasonable requirements to join or people that are unwilling to teach(doesn't happen all the time, but there's some bad apples out there.) Stuff like this can prevent some guardians from getting into raiding, or doing any activity that requires a group. Thankfully, they are some great communities out there that are dedicated to helping guardians learn raids, dungeons or any other activities that require a fireteam. The two most notable of these are;
D2Sanctuary: Sanctuary is a group that is focused around helping guardians that are mute, deaf, have social anxiety or just people that want to play without any distractions. Having a mic is never required as part of their fireteams, although you can use one if you want. If you want to learn a raid or an activity, they have plenty of excellent Sherpas available to teach either by voice or text if needed. If you are clanless, they have multiple clans spanning most timezones to join as well. If you want a chill place to find groups to play with, Sanctuary is definitely worth checking out. D2Sanctuary Discord: https://discord.gg/d2sanctuary (most of the activity is here) D2Sanctuary Subreddit: /r/d2sanctuary
Destiny Sherpa: Destiny Sherpa is a subreddit that is used for connecting Sherpas to Students, people will post either looking for a Sherpa, or looking to Sherpa. The Sherpas here are great at what they do and are very patient. For any PvP players, Destiny Sherpas sister subreddit, Crucible Sherpa has people offering tips and sessions to help you improve in crucible. Destiny Sherpa Subreddit: /r/DestinySherpa Crucible Sherpa Subreddit: /r/CrucibleSherpa
Right now is a great time to get into raiding. If you didn't know already, the weekly limit on raid loot is gone for the following raids: Leviathan Eater of Worlds Spire of Stars Crown of Sorrow Scourge of the Past You can run these as many times as you want and keep getting loot, as well as chances of getting Anarchy or Tarrabah. With these raids getting vaulted soon I would definitely check them out if you haven't. Raiding has been the highlight of my Destiny 1 & 2 career, and I hope everyone gets a chance to raid with a nice group. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Jul 2020 08:09 AM PDT Every season costs 10 dollars. I think this season has added a bunch more cool and interesting stuff to the game, so far. Its had missions. Its had a cool story driven quest. Its had a PvE pinnacle activity. Last season had free trials and four vendors. The Undying had a lame horde activity. Dawn was better than each of those two. Again, each one costs 10 dollars. I'd like similar value for that price from season to season. 3 seasons at this level are greater than 4 seasons of varying quality. [link] [comments] |
Sending off the old raids with an event is a great way to Vault content. Posted: 09 Jul 2020 11:46 AM PDT This was a great decision. They announced how only GoS and Last Wish were were being carried through to the coming year, and then they dropped moments of triumph. - All raid This is the best way to send off activities. All ghosts should become ornaments and it perks become mods. Posted: 09 Jul 2020 12:01 AM PDT It's so sad that we can't use our favourite ghost appearance cause the perks are shit, besides there is no way to farm ghosts. To me this seems like the better option. EDIT: Thanks to u/kirbydelsol for the take my energy award! And a stranger for the bless up award! EDIT2: Thanks to another strangers for a stones rising award! EDIT3: Thanks a lot u/Evilmayonaise for the platinum award!(great username btw), [link] [comments] |
Hey Bungie, for PvP, when dying to ruinous effigy, can you change the PoV to the orb? Posted: 09 Jul 2020 07:42 AM PDT |
We need more Patrol-based weapon quests like Ruinous effigy. Posted: 09 Jul 2020 11:31 AM PDT Title; typically it's just cycling in and out of Lost Sectors so I can efficiently farm kills for quest objectives. Having to explore the open world was refreshing as far as Exotic quests goes. Considering the theme of the Season, it was really nice to have one last walk through all these planets before they leave the game. [link] [comments] |
This is our chance for everyone to come together to get your raid exotics. Posted: 09 Jul 2020 10:48 AM PDT Since Bungie unlocked repeatable raid rewards on old raids people will be farming boss CP's like crazy. And with increased chances for raid exotics each clear this is the time to get your Anarchy and Tarrabah. If you have a checkpoint and are waiting around for your buddies to load in you can post an LFG for free boss CP and just let people in and out at no cost to you. I know it's what I'll be doing. All of the stars aligned today Posted: 09 Jul 2020 09:12 PM PDT I woke up at 9 am just like I normally do. Showered. Ate breakfast. Did internship work for 4 hours. Then, I sat on my bed and thought, what if I try to raid today? I haven't since vault of glass in destiny 1, and never even finished that. I have been playing destiny for 7 years, and have never beaten a raid. Today, that changed. I called up my buddy who just started playing a few weeks ago. I had been showing him the ropes, everything from how to infuse weapons to how to kill a barrier champion. I asked if he wanted to try a raid with me and he accepted my offer. We studied Scourge of the Past guides for a few hours, took notes, went over the gameplan, then created a LFG on xbox. It was tough to find people who would sherpa us, but we did. I'm not going to lie, they weren't the nicest people. However, they were patient and explained everything. 4 of us ended up being noobs, and 2 "pros". 3 hours, 11 minutes, and 53 seconds later we were no longer Scourge of the Past noobs. It wasn't even the boss that was hard, the first encounter took us forever due to lack of communication. Eventually we got used to each other, and we ran through the entire thing. Beating this raid is not normally a massive achievement for most people, but it was for me. I have been trying to find people to raid with for as long as I've been playing destiny. No one wants to play with someone who sounds like a kid, but today people did. It didn't quite occur to me until half an hour after that I no longer was a raid noob. Unfortunately I didn't get anarchy, but there is always the next time. Today it was scourge, tomorrow it is the leviathan. By the time beyond light comes out, I will have completed all of the raids. Mark my words reddit, it's happening. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Jul 2020 10:37 AM PDT (title) Imagine putting the "Increased Durability" mod from the SotP sparrow on a sparrow you actually like the look of? Imagine if the reward of getting a sparrow drop from a raid/difficult content wasn't that it had a possible good perk, but that it would come with an additional mod slot all together, so you could slot mods like "Increased Durability" without sacrificing other things? The same could be said ghost shells, as an example the Contender Shell which older players will recognized as the shell that had 2 unique perks that made Levi farming far more fun.. imagine if those 2 perks dropped as mods and if the shell dropped with 3 slots. This way if you aren't on Levi, you could put speed-demon+guiding-light+3rd perk relevant to what you are doing on the shell itself? I know a lot of you don't agree that fashion is the true end-game, but there are those that do. Not only would this allow for more character customization, but they could do it in a way that shows mastery as well, by allowing people to hover over a person's sparrow/ghost and seeing it replete with 3 mods and getting some weird players (like me) interested enough to click on the sparrow/ghost and inspect it to see what the actual base sparrow/ghost is, because to me checking out other people's cool set ups is just as cool as reworking my own into something I think is cool. Just an idea. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Jul 2020 11:40 AM PDT I love the transmutation spheres but the kills with transmutation spheres need to count towards the kill tracker. Edit: Transmutation spheres should also be able to create orbs of light after completing the catalyst. [link] [comments] |
Melee combat is too important in the PvP setting to be as inconsistent as it is Posted: 09 Jul 2020 03:15 PM PDT Title. With how pivotal melee combat can be, something needs to be changed. When you're in a competitive game of some sort and you lose the final 1v1 dude to your melee locking on to an invisible character model or to it purely just not registering the hit (even with the sound cue) is absolutely absurd. The amount of times I've even witnessed teammates or enemy players get absolutely screwed over from the inconsistency in close range combat is just too high. Also, this plays a huge role in warlock melee combat. I know that you shouldn't always be in close range combat with our floating friends, but when the range on the melee is isn't always consistent and I miss one melee due to the range not existing or it missing completely (like stated above), it needs to be looked at. I can't be the only guardian to notice the issue with close range combat in PvP. To add to that, every class has their moments of rubber banding or just INSANE range to a melee and that isn't any better. I just notice it with warlock the most when I play. I personally don't know how in depth this really is because I'm nowhere near a game creator and I don't really know specific things that could be done to help. I am just sad that it has been such an ongoing issue throughout Destiny's life and I want to see it improve! [link] [comments] |
Bungie, please make it when we track triumphs we can see it when we pull out our ghost. Posted: 09 Jul 2020 05:28 AM PDT Title. Edit: For PC, you can get an overlay. It's legit. Thanks to u/SerenaLunaLight for showing this. [link] [comments] |
It would be cool to see weekend events that do what the bugged activities have been doing for us. Posted: 09 Jul 2020 09:14 AM PDT I'm not knowledgeable enough to break down an entire post by me on "how things SHOULD be", but please read and hear me out. In my opinion, it would be interesting to see weekend events that have been giving us what all of these bugged activities have been giving in the past. Due to recent events, I know how divided the community can be on topics like this. However, perhaps there is a middle ground? AFK Forge Farming, Menagerie chest farm, bugged 750/1080 Nightfalls, and more have shown up in the game time and time again. Sometimes to a majority of the communities approval and excitement (D1 loot cave, Menagerie chests) sometimes not (AFK forge). Sometimes Bungie lets it happen, sometimes they shut it down immediately for whatever reason. Again, the community tends to be split on stuff like this due to them being exploits, but what if Bungie intentionally gave us stuff like this as special weekend events? Other games do this sort of thing all the time. Diablo, for example, goes insane with it, but I'm definitely aware of them not even being remotely the same. But people love those sorts of events. They eat that shit up. When this stuff goes away, people long for it because they enjoyed it. It was fun and rewarding and it helped them feel that their time was worth it. It helped them progress as well. My point is, I believe it could benefit everyone, especially people who don't commit a large portion of their time to the game, people who have families or other responsibilities to handle. Putting a few special weekends throughout a season where the community can receive such generous rewards intentionally could definitely excite people and keep people coming back. The uncapped raids are an awesome example of this. I don't know, just a thought I had that I think could be a positive for the game and community. EDIT: Grammar [link] [comments] |
More Ways for Ascendant Shards Posted: 09 Jul 2020 02:36 PM PDT Pls bungo. It seems to be an easily accepted idea and widely spoken about topic on here and amongst a lot of players I have met. Almost everyone I talk to agrees locking golf balls in high level nightfalls is annoying. Even if the ways to get them still aren't easy, I think there should be a more opportunities for them. Here are a few of my ideas. • Petras Runs/ Raid challenges • Low drop chance on raid final encounters •Flawless runs of Dungeons or Master Hunts Those are a few off the top of my head. What are your thoughts and or ideas about this topic. Feel free to criticize. [link] [comments] |
Bungie Please: Give us Armor Mods that go in the first slot and increase 2 stats by 5 Posted: 09 Jul 2020 10:29 AM PDT Having mods for +10 to a single stat is nice, but a 39 is only a little less annoying than a 29. Please give us mods that cost the same, and go into the same slots, but increase 2 stats by 5 to help get more of our stats to the next breakpoint. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Jul 2020 03:06 PM PDT Title says most of it. Subsistence is one of my favourite perks, keeping you shooting if you keep killing. It's a little mini game to play while I run content. However, the way subsistence works right now makes it a very inconsistent perk across weapon types. (Most of these numbers are on currently available weapons that wont be sunset next season, mostly the following: night watch scout, jack queen king 3 hand cannon, gnawing hunger auto, Ikelos smg/death adder and fools remedy sidearm) Handcannons reload 2 ammo per kill, most archetypes can one/two-shot red bars with the right perk combos or a minor spec mod. Can go infinite if you are accurate. Passable Ammo reserves at ~77 bullets (7-9 mags or so depending on what HC you rock) Scouts: reload 2 ammo per kill like handcannons, most scouts take 2 shots (1 crit on a relatively high hp red bar), but that's still positive ammo and the absolute trash ads (thrall etc) do only take one shot, so you can get positive ammo economy. Ammo reserves are a bit low at ~120 bullets. (About 6-7 mags) Autorifle: Reloads 10(!) ammo per kill or so. Since most red bars take around 4-5 bullets to kill (don't even have to be that precise). This is basically huckleberry jr: the perk (ride the hog?). Gnawing hunger with this absolutely shreds through hordes. Great ammo reserves at ~428 bullets. (About 9-10 mags) But then... SMG: reloads 3-4 ammo per kill (seems if you have a mag above 30 it gives 4 per kill, otherwise 3) yet most red bars take around 4-5 bullets to kill IF you are accurate. Thralls can be killed under 4, but some others take more than 4 consistently (vandals for instance) So staying positive is basically impossible, due to smgs being imprecise by nature and most kills taking too much ammo. Ammo reserves are abysmal for an automatic gun at ~194. (About 6-7 mags) Lastly, sidearm: Only one sidearm can run subsistence, the new Iron banner Fool's remedy. It's a lower impact rapid fire frame, it takes 2-3 shots for most red bars, most need to be crits. This creates a very similar situation to SMG's. This archetype cannot get above 30 for its mag, so can only regen 2 bullets per kill. 1 tap almost always shoots two bullets due to the rapid fire. It is somewhat helped by its native quick reload and it being more accurate than your average smg. You can go positive if you are very accurate but mostly it will lose bullets. It also has deeper ammo reserves intrinsic which leads to ~114 bullets in reserves (About 7-8 mags) O So SMGs, who are less accurate, have less range and a lower magazine size (that they go through faster) than Auto's have a worse regen on kill for subsistence while also ending up with way less reserves AND less mags per total reserves. Just... why? Subsistence seems to be determining its effect almost solely based on magazine and reserve size. In theory this would be fine, but it has created a clear imbalance that heavily favours using auto's over smgs (and kinda everything else) and slightly favours hand cannons over scouts. The latter I think is fine, since both can still go positive if accurate. Bungie please: Make subsistence better for SMGs and sidearms. An increase of 1/2 bullets per kill and 1/2 mags extra in reserves would make it feel like it does on other weapons. Especially comparing the SMG to its closest cousin, the auto rifle. The new sidearm also suggest subsistence will be as bad on them as on smgs and I would suggest buffing them in a similar vein, at least for that specific archetype. The whole point of subsistence is the fantasy of feeding on your enemies and keeping your weapon full by being accurate against red-bars. It is already hard enough to keep it up outside of low level pve, let alone it also being natively bad on some weapons by default. It's a perk that lets people focus on non-reload perks, that rewards good play, that fuels the power fantasy while not being broken or mandatory. It just needs a little balance to work that way on all weapons. TL,DR: Subsistence needs a buff on SMG's and Sidearms, feels amazing on autos and good on HC's and Scouts. [link] [comments] |
Worldline needs a massive buff and/or a rework Posted: 09 Jul 2020 11:03 AM PDT As it stands the "exotic perk" is literally just dark drinker 2.0's perk but worse. It requires you to run before you proc. You can't get swordsman's guard. Pretty sure it does less damage too. Also it's on an exotic. It needs a massive damage buff, or more teleport change, or a faster charge time, that or just redo the whole exotic entirely because it gets outclassed by a legendary [link] [comments] |

When we look at a weapon with random rolls in our collection why not let us see all possible perks? Posted: 09 Jul 2020 09:53 PM PDT I know we can get that info on third party sites but it would be cool to have it in game and since we can't pull random guns from our collections at least it would make looking at them useful.
