The plot of the Red War is the same as Donkey Kong Country. Posted: 13 Sep 2020 02:55 PM PDT While taking a very minor break on my Switch, this hit me like a train. It's all there. Giant baddie attacks your home and you lose everything that was in your vault. Along the way, you are aided by locals who know the terrain. You fight oversized versions of standard enemies as bosses. The villains have easily conquered what you thought was yours. A cranky old man, kind lady, and chill bro are your guides along the way. A small dude travels with you and is there to help if you get knocked out. Strategic barrel usage can save the day. Bungie, please explain this plagiarism. [link] [comments] |
I remade the Last Wish: Riven encounter in my Warframe Dojo Posted: 13 Sep 2020 01:24 PM PDT |
I don't give a shit if the Pyramids are paracausal entities, I still want a mini one as my jumpship Posted: 13 Sep 2020 03:44 AM PDT C'mon, you know it would be awesome. You and four others are waiting to do a Raid against the Pyramids, then your sixth comes along flying one of them and you're all like "where the fuck did you get that thing!?" I promise to keep it fed and well-polished. [link] [comments] |
All exotics should have a kill tracker even if they do not have a catalyst. Posted: 13 Sep 2020 05:00 PM PDT Seeing the No Turning Back post yesterday made me realize I avoid weapons without a tracker because I like to see the number grow over time. I feel like I'm missing out on my own personal imaginary progress by using weapons that do not have a tracker enabled. Small QoL that should make it into the game at some point. P.S. - have trackers track PvP or PvE kills regardless which tracker is enabled at the time. [link] [comments] |
I know we have the Riskrunner, but I really miss the Zhalo Supercell. Posted: 13 Sep 2020 12:48 PM PDT Nostalgia hitting today. A friend of mine has made several Destiny 1/2 props. He had an extra cast of the Zhalo Supercell and sent it to me. It will look even better when I finish it. Here is a pic of his when it was completed. [link] [comments] |
Hunter got Clocks without Hoods, Can Titans get Marks that are just belts? Posted: 13 Sep 2020 05:37 PM PDT Bungo please? I really want a mark that a simple belt. No hanging butt towel or a penis Poncho. Just plain belt. Edit: I know I have made mistake in the title. Please forgive me, for I have dishonored my family. Shame shame shame shame. Bring back the blue flames from D1 as a reward for finishing the Nightfall: Ordeal for the week Posted: 13 Sep 2020 08:48 AM PDT Something about loading into the old D1 tower and spotting someone with their head aflame in blue that made me want to bug my friends into completing the Nightfall for that week. Even if it took over an hour, I wanted to check that box off. [link] [comments] |
Turn all Finest Matterweave item into Enhancement Cores Posted: 13 Sep 2020 03:56 PM PDT As you know to turn one of these items into an enhancement core you must first pop it and then kill boss for a core to drop. I have 69 \giggles*) of them and I don't really want to repeat this process 69 times but I may not have a choice. You guys maybe be sitting on thousands of these items and probably feel the same way. A suggestion I thought was to allow us to use/dismantle them into enhancement cores, a simple one to one exchange. I don't think this would hurt anyone and i'm sure its a quick fix for you guys, maybe it could be implemented going into Beyond Light. TLDR: Let us dismantle Finest Matterweave into Enhancement Cores or do it for us. [link] [comments] |
Raid weapons going forward should have intrinsic enemy specs Posted: 13 Sep 2020 05:57 PM PDT I've seen a few posts here recently about how raid weapons don't feel special or unique compared to other legendary weapons. I think an easy fix for this would be to add intrinsic enemy specs to them. We already have a taken spec mod in the game, but what if the weapons from Deep Stone Crypt had an intrinsic Fallen spec? Or the Vault of Glass weapons had a Vex spec? I think this would make raid weapons far more desirable, without making them overpowered. You'd be able to stack another mod on top of the intrinsic spec, which would give them even more utility in endgame pve content. Curious to hear people's thoughts on this. [link] [comments] |
Bungie, is it possible to remove stuck buffs from the character screen when Beyond Light launches? Posted: 13 Sep 2020 09:00 AM PDT Like a fool I popped a Wealth of the Emperor and then completed my Chalice and now I'm forever stuck with the Wealth of the Emperor buff. Any chance these buffs will be wiped off the character screens with the new expansion? [link] [comments] |
Destiny's weapon hierarchy is... Kinda odd Posted: 13 Sep 2020 06:31 AM PDT This is probably gonna sound like a load of nonsense because I'm tired, and none of this is necessarily critisism or bitching, but more just a slightly confused observation. So destiny's desperately trying to embrace it's identity as an MMO/lite-mmo, but I find it incredibly strange how they treat the weapon hierarchy within the world, specifically, with how loot scales from best to worst. Obvi the gear works on two systems, a tier system, from common to legendary, and a perk/archetype system (im bundling these together I'll explain later). However, unlike normal RPGs, the mass majority of gear in D2 are legendary, to the point where the lower tiers below it like blue and green don't even cover all the weapon archetypes. In d2, we play almost exclusively with legendary gear, and new light players are able to love into the legendary endgame extremely quickly. This makes the tier hierarchy irrelevant, as it's setup to only apply to those who are just starting out with barely 5 hours in. Now the real hierarchy we know comes from community ranking of weapons. We, the community, essentially rank the weapon archetype and perk hierarchy for ourselves, since most of the time there aren't any noticeable overpowered outliers (looking at you 600 rpms). For us, everything is based on what we see as most and least useful, rather than best to worst. This isn't necessarily bad at all don't get me wrong, but it leads to this problem. Because all the emphasis is on archetype and perks, the guns themselves, and where they come from, doesn't really matter. The thing that determines a guns power is purely on what potential rolls it could get, but because we the community decide how we value perks, there isn't an actual 'the best' to look towards. This puts things like raid weapons and trials weapons in a really odd place, as they should be the most powerful and covetous weapons, as they are the hardest to acquire, but most of the time no one actually uses them because... They're unremarkable. There's nothing special about raid weapons, despite the fact that in traditional RPGs, our loadouts would be covered in raid weapons since they'd be the best of the best. We actually had this idea in D2Y1 of all things, where, because of static rolls, there were objectively more damaging weapons than others even beyond archetype, and the calus weapons were perfectly rolled to be "the best* (midnight coup for example, had the two best possible perks, outlaw and rampage) But because of our current system, any run of the mill 720 is just as valuable as a Reckless Oracle, or maybe even better if you've got lucky perks. The system we have invalidates high level gear, since it doesn't even matter it comes from the hardest activity. Now I actually didn't play D1 (heresy I know), but I know their raid weapons had unique abilities that applied to whole races and raid encounters, and I think this would be a welcome change to bring back to give raid weapons just that little more value. They're the hardest weapons to get. They should be the best at what they do. Man this is long, and fully nonsense, and I'm not sure why im even posting it. I just thought it was weird just how much emphasis their is on perks over actual weapon hierarchy. And yes, weapon hierarchy has to exist. It's literally a core part of progression in looters. I think players need to suck up that others who do harder content have better weapons. And it would bring a bit of prestige back to raid weapons that last wish and garden weapons have kind of lost beyond their amazing weapon models. They're so beautiful, why is this drifters' trashcan gnawing hunger better than them. Pls feel free to argue and downvote in the comments below. Sorry I made you read. EDIT: Just to clarify, 1. is this bad? Not necessarily, but my whole point is that it's different, and in a way a bit antithetical to the whole looter aspect of the world by not acknowledging that loot scales in usefulness 2. Do I have a solution? Bro I don't make videogames I just think that philosophy wise it's a little odd that's all [link] [comments] |
"I don't need to know that alien's backstory, I need to know the people in the City's backstory" Posted: 13 Sep 2020 08:52 AM PDT My friend just started playing Destiny last night, and this was the second thing he said during Ghaul's cutscene. I couldn't agree more. The City was razed but we weren't given reason to care. Sure we've gotten a bunch of lore cards and whatnot since, but still even now we haven't gotten anything in-game to make us care about or understand what we're fighting for. The closest we've came was the D2 reveal cinematic, which wasn't even in the game. It would have been the perfect intro too, and I can't wrap my head around why it wasn't used as the opening. 6 years in and we still haven't been directly shown the stakes and people we protect. "I fight for the loot, and protecting the system kinda happens" might work for the gameplay loop, but maybe not the narrative? Unless we're going for a narrative of "Gods are not concerned with mere men" - which would be cool but only if intentional. [link] [comments] |
Please stop the “I don’t have friends, how can I solo every raid?” posts - Just use an LFG Posted: 13 Sep 2020 04:20 PM PDT I have seen tons of these kinds of posts recently, and it's getting kind of obnoxious. For those people who are making these kinds of posts, I have the key to all of your problems: bungie.net find fireteam. I have seen this suggested before to people, and sometimes the response is "but I have crippling social anxiety". As someone who suffers from bad social anxiety, I can say that is not a valid excuse. I have raided with dozens of lfg groups, and have had 1, maybe 2 somewhat negative experiences. Even then, the only issues were 1 person quitting after 1 wipe. Most, if not all of the people you play with are great, very friendly, and patient. If you still think that lfg groups aren't for you, you can just mute yourself and say you don't have a mic. If you are still wondering if you can solo xyz raid, the answer is no, or at least no unless you are gladd. TLDR: see title [link] [comments] |
I made a Beyond light trailer and added "Ice, Ice, baby - Vanilla Ice" to it. Posted: 13 Sep 2020 04:47 PM PDT I know Bungie said Stasis isn't Ice but not gonna stop me from vibing. Link: Ice, Ice, Baby [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Sep 2020 08:47 AM PDT Title Destiny 2 bad, Destiny 1 good, blah blah blah. Just go ahead and downvote this, it's all a giant circlejerk. [link] [comments] |
With the DCV eliminating some spaces in the game, what’s most underrated space you’re going to miss? Posted: 13 Sep 2020 01:56 PM PDT With the Leviathan going into the DCV, I think the underbelly is the space I think is underrated and I'm going to miss. It's too bad that outside of the Menagerie we only see the space when we play Eater of Worlds or play the raid. Underbelly is huge and has the potential to be its own patrol space. What location are you going to miss the most with this first round of the DCV eliminating spaces? [link] [comments] |
Tips for grinding forge weapons for Platinum Starling Posted: 13 Sep 2020 05:56 AM PDT Hi, Someone made a post earlier that was about the black armory logo not being symmetrical or something. Then there was some discussion in the comments about the grind for platinum starling. Someone was asking for tips and hints with it so after grinding out nearly all of them over the past five or six days I've worked out a pretty decent system. I'm also on mobile so I'm sorry if the formatting is garbage.
If I think of anymore I'll update. Good luck with your forge runs <3 EDIT: After reading a whole bunch of comments, I've drawn a few conclusions. Someone said they run the bow frame in the forges and use trinity ghoul at the same time; fantastic efficiency but I think overall speed would depend on the forge. Bergusia for example would be fantastic for that, but something more open like Izanami I don't think would be. There were also people saying that when they did it they ran lost sectors like Aphelion's rest in the dreaming city, or that one close to the landing zone in glacial drift on Mars. I can see that this would be very quick progress, but I don't think it matches with Altars of Sorrow. With lost sectors, you need to run all the way in then all the way out, maybe killing everything on the way, maybe not. With Altars, everything comes to you, a new nightmare spawns immediately after you kill one, and there's a constant stream of enemies. Now, on the topic of Machine gun frames, you should absolutely not get the powerful kills you need from Altars. Leviathan is easily the best way to do this, however if you're going for efficiency, something like the sword frame is optimal. When I say the sword frame is optimal, I don't just mean in terms of frame objectives. I'm looking at it from a whole perspective. At this point in the season, you probably have enhanced sword scavenger, and you very likely have sword ammo finder. If you have falling guillotine as well, it's very easy to power through forges very quickly, and please don't tell me that they're not good for the Bergusia, Gofannon and Izanami forge wardens. They are, for Izanami just take pot shots with a sniper or special grenade launcher until it's close enough and then smack it. [link] [comments] |

Optimized Bounties For 2020/09/13 Posted: 13 Sep 2020 11:12 AM PDT Deer trivia: Deer antlers require almost double the nutrients to grow as a deer's skeleton and muscles. Because of this, deer antlers tend to get larger the older the deer is, because those nutrients can go toward antler development once the deer's skeleton and muscles are done developing. Step 1 - Coat your fawn's bones in adamantium. ALL NUTRIENTS TO THE ANTLERS. Step 2 - Pick up the following Dailies. Weeklies can be found here. Tower Bounties:
