Can we make Ana Bray a vendor in the tower that sells all the warmind cell mods?

    Posted: 20 Nov 2020 12:41 PM PST

As the title suggests. They are really strong mods and they allow for great build creation...it'd be nice if they were easier to get.

A roll of 55 on a helmet is NOT "higher than average stats", just in case Bungie needed that cleared up...

    Posted: 20 Nov 2020 07:44 PM PST

So I was expecting somewhere in the low 60 to mid 60's. That would have been higher than average. Because average IS about 54-57. Mid 50's fall right into that average category. You aren't pissed it was a 47, but youre not stoked that it was a 63. It's just meh.

So, to sum up, 55 is NOT "higher than average stat rolls". Lets learn from this experience, yes???

Felwinters Lie should be added to the new exotic kiosk or, be an Iron banner obtainable item.

    Posted: 20 Nov 2020 05:38 AM PST

It is the best shotgun in the game after the sunsetting changes bar none and not having the ability to get it especially hurts since the Mindbenders has been sunset. I get the whole FOMO aspect that it had back in its season, but those of us who couldn't play during that season are essentially at a competitive disadvantage to those who are using it.

Grenades should be unlocked account wide

    Posted: 20 Nov 2020 12:06 PM PST

Title says it all. Pretty stupid that you have to do the entire quest on all your alts considering the fact all 3 classes have the same exact 3 grenades...... EDIT: STORY CAMPAIGN TOO. Doing the campaign on 1 character should unlock it on my other 2 automatically. Extremely annoying to have to redo the entire campaign just because I feel like using my titan. If I want to do the story missions I'll just go to the kiosk.

In my opinion, until now this is actually the best Crucible gun meta ever.

    Posted: 20 Nov 2020 05:32 AM PST

Im not saying it cant improve im saying it is the best until now.

HCs have a healthy range ( Love the changes to HC subtypes), Pulse rifles are pretty good, auto rifles are still good but not braindead easy and unpunishing as they were in last season, sidearms are a really good counter to shotguns and have a good range, Scouts are bad instead of trash, and special guns are good.

Imo this was better than the HC only meta, or the Auto meta last season, it has a big variety of guns. I hope we can remain like that rather than having a single type being overpowered. What are your thoughts?

How is it that Bungie has nerfed to the ground warlocks stasis abilities and nova warp but the hunter’s spectral blade is perfectly fine?

    Posted: 20 Nov 2020 07:00 AM PST

    Tittle.

The super literally lasts forever, basically swings indefinitely, they can go invisible and apparently they have a certain amount of damage mitigation when activated (doesn't last for the whole super obviously but still).

Gambit's Might of the Traveler bounty needs to be reworked.

    Posted: 20 Nov 2020 11:04 AM PST

This bounty objective is as follows:

Earn points by casting Supers, defeating combatants with Supers, and creating Orbs of Power

Previously, Gambit was two rounds minimum with 75 motes each, with a possible third round that granted ridiculously increased super recharge rate. It's now been changed to a single round with 100 motes, meaning there's significantly less opportunity to charge and cast supers, AND that the third, ultra super-charging round is gone; however, the bounty requires don't seem to have been changed accordingly.

It's also more difficult to charge supers when compared to Prime. While this new version is otherwise similar to Prime in terms of round length and one-round matches, it's missing the Envoy/puddle mechanic. This makes for a far shorter match with far fewer enemies to kill, again drastically cutting into super charging time.

This makes the bounty extremely difficult to do. I'm currently getting only one super per match on a Hunter with a mid-range Intellect build, whereas I used to be able to get at least two, usually three per match, plus multiple more during overtime. Granted I'm returning from a hiatus and still haven't fully optimized my gear under the new system, but it's still an extremely drastic cut into progress. This bounty has always been a huge pain in the ass to complete, particularly if you're trying to save your super to use strategically against he Primeval or Invaders/when invading, and this change has only made it worse.

Charging Lures is BORING (Strikes, Gambit, Crucible)

    Posted: 20 Nov 2020 06:14 PM PST

The repetitive need to continuously play Gambit, Crucible, and Strikes is monotonous. I've been playing this content repeatedly for years, every season, to level up, to compete quests, to earn pinnacles. It's stale now and little has been done to make it fresh, save for Gambit, which at least is faster to complete now. In fact, it's worse now that half of the variety has been vaulted.

At this point, the worst thing about Destiny is that is places the fresh content behind a long grind of old content. Want to raid? Play old content. Want to do hunts? Play old content.

Please, I enjoy the new expansion and season, I don't even mind grinding, just let us play the new stuff.

Not enjoying Stasis Warlock? Try the Warlock Thunderfucker. A meta-proof build for absolutely shredding through PvE content.

    Posted: 20 Nov 2020 10:27 AM PST

Look, I know PvE isn't competitive. I know you need tight builds for raids or competitive crucible. But you spend a lot of time grinding PvE, so you might as well have fun. You might as well have the MOST fun. And importantly, this build is relatively immune to the meta changing, so you can rely on it for a good while. So here's the build. Ready?

Trinity Ghoul + Catalyst + Getaway Artist. That's the build.

It gives you the following combat loop:

Kill a bunch of enemies easily > everything procs > kill a bunch of enemies easily.

Or, all the lightning, all the time.

(Yeah, there are other speedy chaotic PvE builds, but I haven't seen anything as fast as this for sheer shred.)

What? You want more? Fine, but you're on thin ice already, so behave if you're going to demand I stick around and give you more.

Before I even start talking about Trinity's perks, and why warlock, and other build elements, let's talk about-

Why Trinity is a good core to build a build around:

Let's start with your PvE neutral game - the things you're going to be doing in combat the most. Unless you've got a very specific build created, which may be prone to meta swings, you're going to be shooting with a primary ammo weapon most of the time. Using a primary ammo exotic then makes natural sense.

Similarly, energy weapons generally do that much more damage (since at the very least they have that extra energy component for shields), so a primary ammo energy exotic makes particularly good sense.

Other than nerfs to the archetype or the exotic itself, using a primary ammo exotic isn't really going to be touched by a new meta - not new subclasses, not sunsetting mods, not sunsetting the weapon itself (since it's exotic). So you can be confident that it'll remain viable for a good while.

OK cool, what core does Trinity give us?

It has an amazing perk: Lightning Rod - Precision kills grant the next shot chain-lightning capabilities. Well, it's a bow, so you're going to be getting precision shots.

But its catalyst gives it a crazy good perk that we can really synergise around: Forked Lightning - Lightning Rod now triggers from any Arc damage final blow.

And this chain lightning is the thing that absolutely shreds. Consider this. So long as you've either just killed with precision or any source of arc damage (including chain lightning damage, so this keeps rolling forever), Trinity now gives you:

    • A precision ranged weapon
    • Which does both single-target and horde damage
    • Which can damage targets round corners - because the chain lightning procs off wherever the arrow hits, not just a combatant
    • Which, because it fires three arrows loosely if not drawn back, also means you can cover your local area with lightning in a panic, making it a great short-range weapon
    • Which you never need to stop to reload, because it's a bow

Fine, but you said this was a build, and right now you're just saying a weapon is good. Give me a build.

I told you to behave, but OK. Here we go:

    Weapons:

The only thing we don't really cover with Trinity Ghoul is single target burst damage, so I'd go:

    • ENERGY WEAPON (Primary) - Trinity Ghoul
    • KINETIC WEAPON (Special) - Any viable shotgun
    • HEAVY WEAPON (Power) - Any single target high damage weapon, like a rocket or sword.

But really this one's up to you. You'll be shredding adds faster than your teammates can hit them, leaving them to be your heavy ammo for bosses while you keep them free of any other incoming fire. The other nice thing of leaning into a primary ammo weapon as your main weapon is that if you run out of ammo you've got all your high damage weapons left for that panic when you need to go on an ammo hunt.

    Class:

Let's talk class. We should be emphasising getting that arc proccing as much as possible, which means arc kills. How're we going to do that? By having our arc buddy up and running the entire time.

    • SUBCLASS - Middle tree arc warlock (Attunement of Control Stormcaller). Why? Because it gives us two great perks:
      • Ball Lightning - Melee fires an Arc projectile that travels forward and releases a perpendicular bolt of lightning. You're going to be playing at range, so having a very long range arc melee is going to help get your crazy engine up and running again.
      • Ionic Trace - Defeating enemies has a chance to create Ionic Traces. Collecting Ionic Traces grants energy to all your abilities. So let's be clear - this depends on defeating as many enemies as possible, to increase the chance of creating traces. Killing adds is exactly what we're about, so this is going to be refilling our abilities all the damn time.
      • Also, the super we get with this is Chaos Reach, which is great for single target damage, which is one of the few things we don't have covered by Trinity Ghoul.
    • CLASS EXOTIC GEAR: Getaway Artist. This converts your grenade into a (supercharged) arc turret. So now you have yet another source of accurate ranged arc damage, sure to proc your Trinity Ghoul.
    • GRENADE - Your choice (we're going to be consuming it most of the time), but for the off chance I end up throwing it, I find a Pulse Grenade is good for controlling a choke if I need to be on the retreat temporarily and needing Lightning rod to spin up again.
    • CLASS ABILITY - Empowering Rift - we're going to be relatively stationary while using Trinity so why not have all that damage do even more damage?

    Gear Perks:

It's really your call, but I'd tend to aim to get Discipline up to about 80%. I found that gives me enough grenade recharge (with Ionic Trace) to always have my supercharged arc buddy up.

This is another good bit of metaproofing that you get with this build - that you're not desperate to play around with your perks, so you don't need to worry about rebuilding this every new season when your armour needs to be replaced.

    Mods:

Well, I'd get a bow draw speed mod on there, just for even more lightning arrows all the time.

We can play with Charged with Light relatively easily too.

    • Taking Charge lets you become CWL by picking up an orb. Well, Trinity Ghoul with catalyst is masterworked, so drops orbs on kills, and it's ALWAYS KILLING EVERYTHING, so we're dropping a whole load of orbs.
    • Shield Break Charge lets you become CWL by breaking an opponent's shield. Well, we shit on arc shields, so I don't see why not to have this. (Though it's the least useful of these four.)

And here's how to spend it:

    • (If you have it), Reactive Pulse, which spends CWL when taking damage when surrounded by combatants to emit a burst of damaging Arc energy, for obvious reasons
    • (If you don't), Protective Light, for significant damage resistance on shield break (just in case)
    • High-Energy Fire, which gives you bonus damage when you are CWL, spending a stack on a kill. NOTE that this gives you the bonus damage UNTIL you kill, so rounds you out against tougher enemies!

    END

That's it, really. It's definitely not great for PvP, but everywhere else, it absolutely shreds. Gambit? You're a mote hoover! (Be nice, let your buddies pick 'em up!) Strikes, patrols, and public events? Yeah, wreck them. Nightfalls? Usually fairly decent so long as your party have champion coverage. And I've even had some success with it in raids, so long as add clear was valuable enough to allow my party to focus on the boss with all that free time.

No Time To Explain and Polaris Lance are much better exotic concepts than I first thought.

    Posted: 20 Nov 2020 02:16 PM PST

They're given to you by Elsie Bray and Ana Bray respectively.
Both of their exotic perks are to return ammo on precision hits, then create a damaging effect once you get enough precision hits.
Elsie's, however, adds Stasis to the mix, and that's something Ana Bray currently has a lot of difficult feelings about.

The weapons, and the people that wield them, are related!
Absolutely brilliant, creative design. To the people that came up with this: great job :)

Slight complaint... Why are there so little amounts of enemies on Europa? The planet is massive. There should be a larger presence of enemies to compensate for the size.

    Posted: 20 Nov 2020 10:40 AM PST

I'm constantly struggling to find enemies on Europa, and competing with 2+ other Guardians for kills when I do. I expected to have a hundreds of enemies in a single given zone, not 10s.

With every single bounty and patrol mission revolving around kills or killing to get a item, the ratio of enemies is horrendous. I thought we were facing a Dark Empire and a portal to the frikken Vex home world. I expected nonstop carnage! Instead I'm roaming with my sparrow into vast nothingness all day. I'm pretty much practicing for the return of SRL.

Fragment quest that requires you to KILL powerful enemies with STASIS should not exist.

    Posted: 20 Nov 2020 02:37 AM PST

This is such a pain in the ass, a subclass that is not designed to kill enemies should not require to do kills with that subclass quests or bounties, you pretty much should only use your super, because shattering crystals does literally no damage. And the fact that you have to do that quest in a strike, while all your teammates will try to steal kills from you, this quest turns into a complete bullshit.

Icefall Mantle + Bulwark Finisher will Restore shields and give a stronger Icefall shield // Arthrys's Embrace Weighted Knife + 1-2-P does 155,473 damage (or 217% of base Arthrys's Embrace Weighted Knives)

    • If you use the class item mod 'Bulwark Finisher', which restores your shields while finishing an enemy at the cost of one fourth your super energy, it restores shields with Icefall Mantle active but actually makes the shield stronger (stacking to x2)
    • The leg armor mods Recuperation and Better Already will not replenish your Icefall Mantle shield but will refresh the 20s timer of the shield

    Other

    • Whisper of Hedrons sometimes will stack to a x2 weapon damage buff against overload champions but I can't figure out why only overload champions
    • You can get rid of the no-class-abilty-cooldown of Icefall Mantle and Mask of Bakris by unequiping the exotic, you also lose the exotic perk as a result though
    • Due to the Stasis grenade changes, any Empire Hunt bosses that throw Coldsnap grenades (Praxis does this a lot) will only freeze you for 1.4s
    • The DoT of necrotic grip will all deal critical damage (yellow numbers) against a debuffed enemy (Tractor Canon then Melee, for example)

I accidentally found a new catalyst farm for the Graviton Lance and other exotics

    Posted: 20 Nov 2020 05:54 PM PST

I stumbled across this by accident while playing the Forsaken campaign. Unlimited spawning red bars enemies in the very first room and it's infinitely repeatable.

    It's broken. Bad.

Skip to around 0:42 if you want to see the crazy Cosmology chain kills.

    https://streamable.com/yy0x7t

I also just finished my Polaris Lance and Trinity Ghoul catalyst there in almost no time.

Quick Edit - if you move much further and jump down to the main floor, the spawning stops, so stay put at the location in the video.

I believe this will only work if you have a character that hasn't completed the Forsaken Campaign.

For example, this was on my Hunter who hasn't completed the Campaign, but I have on my Warlock.
